Twilight Sparkle’s eyes fluttered softly—very, very softly—when she automatically pierced her eyelids apart, which felt like they were stuck together with hot pressed glue and sewn shut. Blurry, it was blurry.  So blurry in her eyes, she could not see a thing.  Her body felt like rocks, heavy and lifeless.  The bright light kept her attention, her eyes dawned on the source of light for a long time without realizing the negative effects it was having to her own eyes.  Apart from the blurriness, there were now patches of lingering light-like floaters in her field of vision. Twilight Sparkle blinked and she finally felt the oxygen that was around in her lungs, feeling in her organs came back slowly, and her heart beat slowly thudded against the numbed, paralyzed ribcage of the awakening mare.  Twilight Sparkle’s ears fluttered when sound finally entered her head, the sounds of a heart rate monitor beeped alongside her heart.  However, Twilight’s vision was still horribly blurry. Her neck, pain.  It felt stiff, like she hadn’t moved it in a long time.  Or like she slept on it wrong, waking up on the wrong side of the bed.  Her wings felt completely numb, if it wasn’t numb then it was alarmingly uncomfortable.  Twilight Sparkle’s eyes still did not come into focus, she blinked and blinked over and over again but nothing seemed to become any less distorted. This panicked Twilight Sparkle, her heart rate accelerated slightly but the more her heart slammed against her chest it caused a splitting pain throughout her body. The pain felt like it was surging through her bones and breaking them in half, ripping her veins from her body and gnawing on them viciously.  Twilight Sparkle struggled to groan her pain, her throat may be stiff but they were numb.  The searing pain spread to her hooves and pulsed out of her hoof tips, giving her feeling of her body instead of numbness. Twilight Sparkle couldn’t even distort her face in pain, her face completely numb except for the reactionary twitching in on her nose to signal a disturbance in the body.  Twilight Sparkle looked side to side, hoping for an idea where she was.  The slightest clue would have been the heart rate monitor counting her slightly faster heart rate and the oxygen mask filling her lungs nonstop. Soon, a sharp prick in the neck caused the pain to stop and the numbness clouded her body again.  Her eyes pinched themselves closed, the foreign chemicals completely numbed her and kicked her back to unconsciousness.
