Hello my name is Ryder and this is how I came to live with my parents again.
I was pulling into the driveway of my parents home with my best friend Mac by my side.
I knew that coming back here my life was gonna change
“Sure has been a long time since you've been back here right.” he said.
“Sure has.” I said.
As we were walking up to the door we heard a scream from inside.
“It's Ryder, mommy!” said a voice. That voice belonged to my little sister. Her name was Scootaloo. I opened the door to see my little sister barrel into me at running speed, hugging me in the process.
I returned her hug. After a few minutes I broke the hug to great my mother and father. I hugged my mother who was very happy to see me. My father, on the other hand, wasn't very happy to see me. He didn't even say anything.
What did I do? One day a long time ago me and him were practicing tee ball and I hit the ball a bit to hard and it broke the window and broke a signed record disk.
Afterwards, after we had all caught up, I went up to my dad and said”dad why have you been giving me this life of hell? What did I ever do to you to deserve this?”
He sighed “son grab a drink”
“OK I needed one right about now anyway”
Then my mom butted into the conversation”no Ryder, you will not be drinking because your suppose to be setting a good example for Grace. Besides you haven't drank for 2-3 years”
I knew that was a lie because of the time she left me alone at my 21st birthday party.
“Give him a break honey. He's 23 now he can drink” said my dad
“Fine, but if he throws up or falls over, you might as well sleep in your truck”.
As I grabbed a beer I wondered what it was gonna be about
I then sat back down and opened the beer and took a small sip
“OK dad tell me why I've gotten this lifetime of hell.”
“Well you remember the time you broke that record disk?”
I nodded.
“Well, back before you were born, I was really well off. I had a multistory house,the truck I have now but supped up a bit and I was really well off. But then I met your mother and we had you but it was a mistake. So I was trying to keep everything I had but I was late on some payments and I got kicked out of the multistory house and I ended up here. Then you were born and I loved you a lot and I was being the best I could but that disc that you broke I was planning to sell it to pay for your college fund.”
I was shocked at what I was hearing. ”So your saying that you were a jerk to me because I broke a plastic disc with ink on it. But what you mean is that I broke a disc that meant more than your family and was gonna sell it to help me out.”
“Pretty much Ryder”said my father.
I was really shocked. My father said ”Don't worry Ryder, Ill be nicer starting from now on.”
My mother and sister heard everything and hurried out to us.
My mother took the beer and said ”NOW LOOK - HE'S WASTED”
“No, beer didn't do this. A father willing to change for the better did.”
A few hours later my mother and father went out for dinner and it was about 9 pm.
I was tucking my sister in and she started to say ”Ryder are you sure I can't spend more time with you?”
“I'm not sure Scootaloo. I'll call mom and dad and see if you can”
I pulled out my phone and called them and asked them if Scootaloo could stay up for a little bit longer.
“OK Scoot they said yes. But you have to be in bed by 11pm”. I said
So for an hour we were playing, doing stuff and just messing around and around the time where I was tucking her in she was already asleep.
At this point I knew that this journey had just began.
Day 2 (must not make joke)
That was just Day One of this whole fiasco It gets weirder and weirder people.
As I awoke from my sleep, I got dressed and came downstairs and I was pretty much still half asleep from last night. Had a crazy dream not say much but it was old to say to say the least.
“Ryder can you drive Scootaloo and her friends to school today?” said my mom.
“Sure mom, I'll do it.” I replied.
As breakfast is going on Scootaloo comes down the stairs almost falling down because she had just woken up. I laughed to myself at my little sister's attempt to go downstairs 5 seconds after waking up.
Half hour later
Me and my little sister and her friends named Apple Bloom and Sweetie belle.
We're in my car heading to their school. As they got out of the car a good friend of mine named Rainbow Dash calls. She's a really athletic girl. Plus, shes my cousin. So that's a bonus. As I pick up the phone and start talking with her.
“Hey dash whats up” I start to say, but quickly get cut off by her speaking.
“Ryder, why didn't you tell me you needed a place to stay? I would have let you crash at my place”. She then quickly bombed me with a ton of questions.
I start to tell her everything that's occurred so far and she says bye because she has to go. Then I hear a voice that sounds familiar and only one police man knows my name
“License and Registration Ryder.” he said
Shining Armor he was a Chief of Police and was really good at his job.
I gave him the papers and apparently I was illegally parked. So he gave me a warning and I went home. After that, I went out to a sweets shop in town and met some of my other friends their like Pinkie pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack.
I caught up with them for a while and that was fun, even though I ended up quite tipsy by the end of it. It was fun. While I was going home I thought 'its only Day 2 and odd stuff is happening.'
