Home to the royal family Queen Faust, King Tenebris, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna. Celestia glumly had her forehooves around her, "But mom I don't need a nanny." The king and queen were going on a diplomatic mission to Zeberia the land of zebra, and realized after that that they needed to hire a nanny for their fillies and both princesses did not like it one bit. "Now now girls, your father and I have done well to be with you for this long but now we have to go on diplomatic missions, and those take months." Queen Faust said to her two daughters Celestia and Luna. "But moooooom!" Whined Celestia, "I can stay home by myself. I can take care of Luna and surely the servants are here if I..." "No Celestia, you need a nanny and that's final." Argued Faust. *Ding Dong* "Oh good, she's here." Announced Faust as she went to answer the door. Celestia grumbled then followed alongside her little sister. At the door was a light blue pegasus mare with a pink mane and a pink heart with a smiley face for a cutie mark. "Hey there Miss. Lovable." Said Faust, "My husband and I are gonna be gone for a month so I hope you'll take good care of my darling fillies." Lovable looked at Celestia, "Aren't you the cutest little thing." Celestia snorted at her and Luna stuck her tongue out. "Be nice, or no dessert for a week you two." Scolded Faust. "Yes mom." Faust turned to Miss. Lovable, "I'm sorry to leave so soon but I gotta go, bye." "Bye." Said both Celestia and Lovable. "Bye." Said Luna. "So," Miss. Lovable turned to her charge, "What do you wanna do kiddos?" Celestia harumphed then quietly trotted to her room, Miss. Lovable and Luna following her. Celestia entered her room where there was a window, a bed, a cabinet, a closet door and a few toys laying around. The two sisters began to play with some toys. Miss Lovable decided to watch her charges play. In the royal dining room Luna sat in her hook on high chair while Celestia sat next to Miss Lovable, while Miss Lovable sat between both princesses. Celestia made a sad sigh then spoke, "I'm sorry I was so rude Miss Lovable, I just don't want a nanny." "It's okay deary, and I'm sorry you feel that way but you're still a little filly who needs someone to look after you." Said Miss Lovable. "I'm hungwy." Complained Luna. "Patience deary." Said Miss Lovable. Just then the chef came in with their food, "See? Here's your food now." Celestia had an omelet with a cheese and lettuce sandwich and a glass of grape juice while Luna had some mashed carrots and a sippy cup of grape juice, and Miss Lovable had a bowl of milo soup and also a glass of grape juice. As they ate, Miss Lovable saw that Celestia was still looking a little glum, "Are you really upset about having a nanny? Because my last charge had me as his nanny all the way until he was 18. It's nothing to be ashamed about." "But we never needed one before." Argued Celestia. "That was because your parents didn't need one until now. In fact it's amazing they managed to wait this long before hiring one. Being so busy and all." Celestia placed her hoof on her chin, "Well, once when I was six I had a babysitter...but she was really mean. She wouldn't read me in bed or give me dessert or nothing; she even called me a dweeb all the time." That insult made Miss Lovable cringe. What kind of babysitter called their charges names? "Are you afraid I might be mean to you too?" Miss Lovable asked. Celestia nodded. Miss Lovable wrapped a foreleg around Celestia, "It's okay Celestia. I promise I won't be mean to you." It was 9:00 pm and thus bedtime for the princesses. Miss Lovable tucked her two charges into bed. She kissed Luna goodnight and offered it to Celestia but she refused saying she was too big for goodnight kisses, but Miss Lovable gave one to her when she fell asleep anyway. Miss Lovable went to her quarters and pulled out a book, she was worried that her new charges would be a problem but luckily she was wrong. She was going to enjoy having these princesses as her charges. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Celestia was at her class. Consisting of a royal teacher teaching her in a classroom with just her as a student. The teacher was an cream colored unicorn stallion with a blond mane and a chalkboard with an A+ written on it as a cutie mark and several freckled on his face, his name was Mr. Knowledge. Celestia liked school okay but today she was a little too excited to pay much attention, she was going to go on a picnic with her nanny and sister afterwards. Mr. Knowledge was quick to find out. "You don't seem to be paying attention Celestia." Celestia jumped, "I'm so sorry Mr. Knowledge. I'm just too excited about the picnic I'm having later today." "That's fine but you need to pay attention." Celestia tried to pay attention but her mind kept wondering, and once again Mr. Knowledge was quick to notice and slammed his hoof on her desk. "Looks like somepony needs to stay after hours and write on the black board." Mr. Knowledge said angrily. Celestia gulped. Celestia was writing 'I will pay attention in class' on the blackboard when Miss Lovable came in to pick her up. "I'm sorry but the princess has to stay after hours for not paying attention." Mr. Knowledge said to Miss Lovable. Miss Lovable gasped and said, "Well then I guess Celestia isn't going to our picnic." "WHAT!?" Screamed Celestia, "That's not fair." "It's perfectly fair young mare; school may be boring but you need to learn this material if you are to become the next queen of Equestria." Scolded Miss Lovable. "But I DO want to learn this material, I was just super excited about the picnic." Argued Celestia. "Well now you don't get to go on the picnic." "But you promised you wouldn't be mean to me." Whined Celestia. "I promised I'd never be mean to you but I never promised not to discipline you. You may not like it but you brought it among yourself." Celestia threw the chalk she had in her aura on the ground and shouted, "Then I won't write on this stupid blackboard anymore!" "If you don't then your bedtime will be lowered to 7:30 and no dessert for you for a week." Warned Miss Lovable. Celestia grumbled and picked another chalk stick up and went back to writing. "That's better." Said Miss Lovable. Miss Lovable was out having a nice picnic with Princess Luna out in the caste fields. They were sitting on a cloth eating their meals having a grand time. "Isn't this a beautiful day deary?" Miss Lovable asked Luna. "Yes Miss Lovable, but where's Tia?" Luna asked using her nickname for Celestia which Miss Lovable learned earlier. "Oh she's being punished for not paying attention in class, but you don't need to worry about that." "Oh." Said Luna now feeling a bit sad for her sister. Meanwhile Celestia was watching them from a nearby window, "It's not fair. She promised she wouldn't be mean to me but she punishes me for no reason anyway." Celestia had been finished with writing on the blackboard and was now in her room where she had been throwing a temper tantrum and several of her toys around. "I was excited about our picnic and now I can't go." Grumbled Celestia. Miss Lovable and Luna came back inside to find Celestia sitting there with an angry look. "Now now Celestia, " Cooed Miss Lovable aproaching the older princess, "I know this seems harsh but someday you'll..." "I HATE YOU!" Shouted Celestia. "No you don't, you just THINK you do." Said Miss Lovable. "YES I DO! YOU'RE THE MEANEST PONY IN EQUESTRIA AND I HOPE YOU $@#& DIE!" Shouted Celestia. Miss Lovable was  now angry, "THAT DOES IT YOUNG FILLY! I'm going to wash that filthy mouth of yours!"  Miss Lovable picked Celestia up and carried her to the bathroom. Luna followed the to the bathroom door and listened. "Aaah! No! No!" Celestia had her head just above the sink as Miss Lovable was washing her mouth with a bar of soap. When Miss Lovable was done washing her mouth Celestia ran to her room and slammed the door. She crawled onto her bed and cried. Today was one of the worst days of her life. Later Miss Lovable came into Celestia's room to find Celestia calmed down but still sniffling, "Hey there?" Lovable brought a clover and dandelion salad for Celestia since she hasn't had dinner yet. Celestia glared at her, "Why are you doing this to me? I just wanted to go on the picnic..." Celestia ran up to her nanny and sniffled some ore against her front leg. Lovable placed a wing around Celestia, "I don't enjoy punishing you, I have to in order to raise you to be a wise ruler." Celestia looked up at her nanny, "I'm sorry I cursed and said such a horrible thing, and I promise I'll pay attention in class." "I'm glad to hear that my little pony." Later that night Celestia heard a soft whimpering sound, Luna was having a nightmare. She approached her sister's crib and gently nudged her awake. "Oh Tia." Luna said sniffling, "I had a dream that a monster was chasing me." Celestia gently levitated her little sister over to her bed, "You can sleep with me tonight Luna." Luna wrapped her forelegs around Celestia, "Thank you Tia." They both fell asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Celestia and Luna were playing cops and robbers out in the royal fields, their nanny Miss Lovable was watching the whole thing. She remembered how she and her sister would play different games like this when she was a filly. The two princesses were running around when suddenly they saw a carriage fly their way, it was their parents' carriage. "Mommy! Daddy!" Shouted both of them as they ran towards said carriage. Queen Faust and King Tenebris stepped out and each held one of their daughters. Luna in Tenebris's and Celestia in Faust's. "Hey there kiddos, how had you two been?" Asked Tenebris. "We've been great and we missed you." Said Celestia hugging her mother. "Have you two been good?" Asked Faust. "They've been wonderful your majesty." Answered Miss Lovable, "You two sure are early." "Yeah, this diplomatic trip was a lot shorter than we thought" Said Tenebris, "but that's okay, because now I'm home with my two little fillies." Decades later the two princesses attended a funeral.
