Shipping Pinkie Pie - What OC traits are best for Pinkie's love-interest

by Jeramahia
An analysis of how NOT to write a romance, why it's so easy for not just fan-fics but professionals to screw up romantic interests (e.g. Flash Sentry) and what you can do better.

We all like to ship characters. We all like to write OC for our characters to be shipped with. And most of all, many of us have committed the ultimate sin of writing ourselves into the story as the character of the same gender the other character of the opposite character falls in love with - admit it, most of you have done this.
But romance is a tricky thing to write about.
This essay will critique my personal opinion on what kind of character would be perfect for Pinkie Pie - and other characters if I ever get around to it. Not based on what kind of romantic interest will make the most interesting or sexy romance, but what kind of character would have the best romantic chemistry with Pinkie.
