Chapter 1: The One Punch Mare
It was a peaceful day in Maretropolis. The sun was shining, the air was cleared of any clouds thanks to the weather patrol, and not a single disaster or mishap is happening during this peaceful morning. Yep everything seem to be going okay in the city-. *CRASH!!!* “Oops, my bad!” Well almost okay. As certain cross-eyed pony was flying through the air, while trying to avoid the city’s buildings. Needless to say it didn’t work out so well for the poor pony when she crashed through a building.
“I hope nopony will see that.” Derpy thought as she looked over the damage she caused. “Maybe they won’t notice the hole through the window.” Derpy was taken from her train of thought when parts of the window cracked, then shattered into a million pieces. “Nevermind.” the mare reached into her saddle bag to pull out a piece of notebook paper, and a pen. She began write the letters I.O.U on it, and placed it on the destroyed office window. “There that should do it. I’ll figure out a way to fix this later, once I figure out how to get the money to repair it.” she said as she flew on top of another building a few feet away from the building she crashed into.
“Well this is just perfect. Already here and I already broke something by accident.” The mare said to herself as she sat on the roof of the building she was on. “Matter of fact I don’t even remember how I got her to begin with. All I remember was going shopping for Dinky’s Nightmare Night costume, buying something for it from the salesmare, and then poof here I am.” Derpy looked around her environment for a moment before laying her back on the roof’s floor. “I hope Dinky and Amethyst are doing okay?” It was around then that something began to buzz around her ears and cause them to twitch. A fly had just decided to land on top of the Pegasus’ nose. And if you were Derpy… you did not like flies.
“Hey, get off of my nose.” Derpy said, as she tried to blow the fly away, only for a quick second before it flew back onto her nose. “I said get off.” she said as she slammed her hoof onto her nose, causing a loud impact sound. “It’s a good thing whoever I’m dressed up as has a hard fur. Other wise my nose would’ve been broken, and that would hurt a lot.”
Bzzzzzz! Again, the fly buzzed, this time landing on her tail. “But...I thought I hit that bug?” Derpy said as she slowly raised her hoof, once again smacking at the fly again. “Got you yeah pesky fly.” When she raised her hoof though... the fly’s parts were just scattered all across the fibers of her tail. “Eww…” the pegasus said as she swung her tail up and down to get whatever remains of the fly off her tail. “Maybe I should’ve flick him off before smashing him into dust, huh?”
She soon heard some shuffling nearby and looked to see a door to a stairwell opening up. “What the heck-?” The figure was bipedal, wore an azure coat and suit while he also had blond hair and sported a braid with a small silver badge at the end of it. “Derpy? Are you okay?”
“Yes I’m fine, strange hairless ape.” Derpy answered. “Wait, how do you know my name?”
“Derpy, you work at the Maretropolis Police Department and I’ve met you a couple of times before. It’s me… Lance?”
“Um… I never met you before, mister Lance. Wait there’s another pony of me?”
“Another pony of you?” Lance asked back, before noticing something. “Hey, what are you doing in that costume anyways?”
“I don’t know really. All I remember was buying some materials for Dinky’s Nightmare Night costume from a salemare, when all of a sudden when I bought a pair of gloves I found myself here in this city.”
“You mean Maretropolis?”
“Maretropolis? What kind of city is that? I never heard of it before.” Now was when Lance’s eyes widened. He was now was beginning to realize what happened to the mare. “Um… are you okay?”
“Derpy… are you familiar with the power ponies?”
“No, but Dinky has been asking me to get the comic book series of them. Why you ask?”
“... Derpy, my friends are the power ponies… You are in another world. Displaced…”
“What’s a Displaced?” Derpy asked. “Is it some kind of place where ponies get free muffins?”
Lance shook his head. “Not quite. Maybe we should talk about this inside. I have a couple of muffins in the kitchen if you want one.”
“Okay!” Derpy said as she hopped up and down in excitement. “Lead the way hairless ape name Lance.”
He chuckled a little, looking back at her. “Just call me Lance. I’m an Adept, not a hairless ape.” Before they went inside though, he held his hand out in a fist and held it in front of him. “Hoof bump?”
“I never tired a hoof bump before, but okay!” Derpy raised her hoof towards Lance’s hand, only for her to send Lance flying into a wall when her hoof made contact with the human’s hand.
“O-okay… Not… what I was expecting…” He coughed out, spitting out a small bit of blood.
“AH! I’m so, so, so, so sorry! I didn’t know I had that much strength in me to do something like that!”
“I-it’s okay. Really… My body heals faster than normal, so don’t stress yourself out… How about we get you that muffin?”
“R-Right, let’s go get some muffins.” Soon, the Adept had the mare follow her to the kitchen, where there were a few fresh Blueberry muffins that were left out there for her to have. Once he put them on a plate and warmed them up for her, she was ready to start munching away.
“Enjoying them, Ms. Derpy?” Lance asked, watching as she ate to her heart's content.
“Yay!” Derpy cheered as she was devouring the muffins in joy.
“So… About what I was saying before…” Lance started to speak, only for Derpy to cut him off.
“Hey, you wouldn’t happen to know a way to get me back home do you? There’s a sale this weekend for free muffin, and I was hoping to get some for Dinky and Sparkler.”
“Y-yeah…… about that… I’m in the same situation as you.” Lance explained to her, “Are you familiar with the existence of other worlds besides Equestria?”
“No.”
“Well, maybe some visual assistance can help.” He said, grabbing what appeared to be a pomegranate from the counter. “Say, this for example, is Equestria. It may look like one place or world on the outside… but on the inside…”
The Adept took out a kitchen knife to slice it down the middle, revealing the inside of the pomegranate and the many seeds that were inside. “There are multiple other versions of Equestria that either are similar to the one that you are from or not… the problem is that it’s almost next to impossible to travel between them freely… I want to help you Derpy, but right now… I just don’t know how to start.”
“Y-You mean I’m stuck here? B-But what about my home?” Derpy asked as she began to freak out a bit at the sudden realization. “What about the free muffin sale?!”
“I don’t know… But I’ll do everything I can to help you. You’re welcome to stay here at Power Pony HQ… and I can have Pinkie make a LOT of future muffins for you.” Lance told her, coming over to sit right next to her. “Why buy muffins when you can get as many as you want here for free?”
“I’m not allowed to use the oven at home again.” Derpy answered, lowering her head in shame. “I accidentally burned my house down… twice.”
“Leave the baking to Pinkie Pie… She has an emergency stash for when anything goes wrong.”
“Okay, so what do I do know?” the mare asked as she flew over to Lance.
“Well, you ended up in my world… normally for a Displaced, they end up with the powers of whoever they are Displaced as… Do you recognize the costume that you are wearing?”
“No, I don’t really read that much comic books.”
“Hmm… I got an idea… Follow me.” The Adept got up and lead the pegasus to a room labeled “Training Facility” and soon set up several different objects. Including a Box of crates, a wooden dummy and another dummy in a suit of Tactical combat gear. “Okay, Derpy. Remember when you hoof bumped me earlier and threw me into the wall?”
“Yeah, what about it?”
“I want you to try the same thing to each one. I would like to observe what happens when you punch them.”
“You sure you want me to do that? I don’t want to destroy this place if I accidentally send one flying off.”
The Adept sighed, chuckling a little. “This training room is designed so members of the power ponies like myself can handle anything under any circumstances. Watch.” To show an example, the Adept took out a gun that he had in his holster and shoot at the nearby window, only for the glass to keep the bolt he fired inside and have it stop dead in his tracks. “Whatever happens in here, this room is designed to keep it in here. So please, feel free to punch to your hearts content.”
“O-Okay.” Derpy said as she walked over to one of the practice dummies. “So I just punch it like this?” she asked as she punched the dummy wearing tactical combat gear in the chest, only for it to be sent flying out of the training room. “Um… I hope I don’t get blamed for that giant hole over there.” she said, pointing a hoof to the hole she made.
“O… kay. Continue.”
“Alright!” Derpy took a charging stance as she charged at the other dummy. She immediately stopped as she turned around and bucked the other dummy out of the room, only this time the pegasus sent it flying towards the ceiling. “This is kinda fun actually. Is there anything else you want me to hit Lance?”
“Did you hit the crates?” Lance asked, pointing at them.
“Oh, I forgot they were there.” Derpy said as she troted over to them. When she appeared in front of one of the crates, she raised a hoof and slammed it into the crate causing a hole to appeared in front of her. “You sure you want me to keep punch-.”
“What the hay is goin on in here!?” Yelled Drift Rod, trotting into the room.
“GAH!” Surprised that somepony yelled from behind herself, Derpy accidentally bucked the poor pony that was behind her and sent her flying out of the room. Just like with the dummies, only this time Drift Rod was flown out of one of the holes. “Oops.”
Lance sighed, facepalming himself. “Looks like Ash is going to have a long trot back by the time she lands.”
“You think she’ll be angry that I hit her on accident?”
“Probably… but once I explain it to her, she might calm down. She’s actually my partner and student.”
“Oh...so are you a teacher for a school or something?”
“Not exactly. Let me put it this way… I’m a hero… she’s my sidekick.”
“Oh, so you’re like Batmare and Robin?”
“... Something like that yes.”
“Oh okay. So what happens now?” She asked.
“Now we should introduce you to Twilight,” The Adept told her. “Or as her secret is, the Masked Matterhorn.”
“Wait, Twilight’s a superhero?”
“In this world, many ponies are heroes. And now… you are one too. We should come up with a name for you, just to be safe.”
“Sorry, but not really a full time hero per say. I’ll just do it because it’ll be a hobby of mine.”
“That may be the case, but with great power comes great responsibility. Heck, you can take out anything with a single punch… Oh, I got a good name. One Punch Mare?”
“But, I like my original name. I don’t want to change it.”
“No, I didn’t mean actually changing your name. I mean it as a hero name. A secret Identity. Mines Gunvolt since my powers are electricity and my weapons are my guns,” The Adept explained. “I was just suggesting it as a secret identity.”
“Why keep your name a secret?”
“So that way villains don’t know who you really are. If a villain knew who you were, they would go after the people you know and care for. You wouldn’t want that right?”
“I guess you’re right...Oh I have the perfect name for myself.” Derpy said, as she struck a funny yet an adorable pose. “The Muffin Mare.”
Lance chuckled at hearing that. “Well, follow me. My Twilight would probably love to be able to talk to you.”
“Okay, lead the way Lance.” The Adept chuckled, letting the mare follow him to the control room, where the Masked Matterhorn had just returned recently.
“Welcome back.”
“Thanks La-.” She paused for a moment upon seeing Derpy hooves. “Lance, what is Ms. Hooves doing here?”
“Actually, this Derpy is a Displaced. She now has powers.” Lance explained. “If she punches anything once, the force of the punch will demolish anything in front of it. Sent me flying into the wall on accident by trying to give me a fist bump.”
“Hi!” Derpy said as she waved at Twilight.
“Hello. You must have quite some amazing abilities based on what Lance had said,” The Alicorn explained. “I’m curious though as to how you ended up in our world though.” Lance had told her about how the Displaced worked and tried to explain it to Derpy the best he could. However, the one thing that confused the Alicorn was how exactly Derpy got here in the first place.
“I don’t know really. One minute I’m buying some materials for Dinky’s Nightmare Night from a salemare, then the next thing I know I find myself free falling from the sky and crash land into an office building’s window.”
“I found her on the roof earlier today after trying to look some information on some spells,” Lance told Twilight. “Afterwards, I learned about the powers she was capable of and also found out she was a Displaced. Something tells me that she might get along well with Filli-Second.”
“Um Lance, who’s the pony wearing the 80’s outfit?”
“Oh my apologies,” The Masked Matterhorn replied, taking off her mask. “I’m Twilight Sparkle. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Hooves.”
“So you really are a hero, just like Lance said. But why do you look like you’re wearing an outfit that i would wear in the 80’s?”
“This wasn’t technically my first choice for an outfit,” Twilight replied. “Radiance was the one who designed them.”
“So she dressed you up as a pony from the 80’s as a joke?”
“No, these are our actual suits. Radiance is… well… our Rarity.” Twilight pointed out.
“....She really need to make a better outfit for you, because your outfit is… well kinda lame.”
“Well, it’s what they got for right now…” Lance sighed. “Rarity refuses to make any new suits that have capes like yours because of the amount of incidents involving heroes and capes getting snagged by something.”
“Okay… so what happens now?”
“Right now… We should let you get some sleep. You’re going to need to get some rest before meeting the rest of the team.”
“But I don’t feel tired, plus it’s still morning.” Derpy said as she pointed outside.
“Derpy… It’s almost Sundown.” Lance told her, just as the sun was beginning to set and the moon was beginning to rise. “Still though… Where’s Ash? Has anypony seen her?”
A cloud of smoke appeared and Ash materialised, a black eye evident. “Right… Here… And who said I was like Robin!?”
“You okay there Ash?”
“Do I… Look okay!?” Her right eye twitched, “The tartarus just happened!?”
“I accidentally punched you across town.” Derpy answered, while hiding behind Lance. “You kinda startled me from behind by yelling, sorry about that.”
“Derpy here, basically has the power to demolish anything or send people flying with one punch. That’s why I would call her One-Punch Mare . However, I only see one problem. Since this Derpy is a Displaced… we might get her confused with the Derpy Hooves back at the Police Department.” Lance pointed out. “Derpy, do you have any nicknames that we can call you?”
“Nope, I’m just gonna stick with my original name.”
“O...kay then. I’m going to check on Aurora. See you guys in a little bit.” With that, the Adept used that as his cue to leave the room for a brief moment.
“Okay, bye Lance!” Derpy said while waving goodbye to Lance. The Adept waved back as he turned around the corner and went down the hall. “So are you able to help me find Dinky and Amethyst?”
“Don’t go to the police station.” Ash simply said.
“Why? Isn’t that where I could find out if anypony seen them?”
“You’ll get confused since there’s already an… Amethyst there. Her name’s Sparkler.”
“Amethyst has a sister that looks like her?”
“... Yeah, sort of. She’s working with the police right now, so I’d hate for you to get them mixed up.” Ash said awkwardly.
“Oh.. okay.” Derpy said as she lowered her head.
Ash sighed, “It’s still a free country, if you want, go. I just think she’ll need a warning since… Ugh, you wouldn’t get it. Do whatever.”
“Wait, so I can go find Dinky and Amethyst?”
Ash’s eye twitched, “When did I say you couldn’t go after them? No, I just said you’ll get confused because she looks like Amethyst!”
“It shouldn’t be that hard to tell the difference between them.” Derpy said as she was readying herself to fly off.
“Fine, later.” Ash waved Derpy off as she trotted away.
“Okay! Don’t worry my little ponies, Derpy is coming!” With that Derpy took off through the roof of the Power Pony HQ like a jet flying off at mach speed, leaving a huge gaping hole in it.
“You do know you’re going to have to fix that hole in the roof Ash?” Twilight said.
Ash growled, “I’m not a janitor…” She rubbed the back of her neck, “God, she’s got a mean hit… Buck I hurt, can’t Humdrum fix it!?” She whined.
Twilight shook her head, “Humdrum’s busy Ash, sorry.” The rookie sighed.
(Elsewhere)
Amethyst felt pain as she finally opened her eyes to find herself in a very old, but stable building. As she tried to pick herself up, she felt different for some reason. Not the bad kind of different, but the weird kind of different. “Ugh, my head. W-Where the hay am I?” she asked as she staggered to her hooves. “Last thing I remember was looking for Derpy when all of a-.” Amethyst was cut mid sentence as she just notice her hooves. “GAH! What the hell happened to my hooves?!” she scream, to what she can tell her hooves looked like they were prosthetic. During her little episode she notice a puddle of water next to her, and decided to see what she looked like.
To the mares surprise she still looked the same, but her eyes were purple and black and her hooves and body looked like a robot’s body that you would see in a action hero movies, and/or comic book. “W-What the hay happened to me?” Amethyst asked, as she backed away from the puddle in fear. “H-How did I even get here?” she said as she looked around. “Where the hay here is?” Suddenly, there was a breaking sound. Turning around, Amethyst saw two police officers followed by… Herself?
“The hay…?” Other her said.
“Who the hay are you?” asked the cyborg pony.
“Psycho. But what I want to know is: Who are you!? Are you some kind of clone!?”
“My name is Amethyst Star, and who are calling a clone, you clone.”
Psycho glared and pointed her horn towards Amethyst, “Don’t call me a clone, faker! What do you want? Take my place?”
“Look I don’t know what you’re talking about, but if you don’t put your horn down I can tell you this.” Amethyst said as she stood on her hind hooves while cracking her front hooves. “You’re going to get a can full of whoop ass on you.”
Psycho narrowed her eyes, then widened them, “What the hay?” She raised her hoof towards the police, signaling them to lower their weapon, “I… Who are you? Why are we so similar if neither of us are clones?” She rubbed her head, “This is too weird…”
“What do you mean similar?”
Psycho pointed her hoof to the door, “Go, I need to speak to Amethyst alone.” The police rolled their eyes but nodded, leaving. Psycho turned back to Amethyst, “My real name is Sparkler Hooves. I’m the daughter of Derpy Hooves. I’m a telepath and helping the police until I serve for my crimes. You… Your memories aren’t false, and I see the same family but… Different.”
“Hey! I didn’t give you permission to read my mind!” Amethyst said glaring at Sparkler.
“Permission? What’s that?” Sparkler asked, before shaking her head, “Nevermind! We’re the same pony and you’re worried about permission ?”
“Aunt Derpy said that it’s not right to read somepony’s mind without their permission.”
Sparkler tilted her head, “Must be a moral I wasn’t taught. For me it was read minds or die… Wait, aunt? Nevermind! Look, what matters here is figuring out what’s going on!”
“Yes, because right now I’m finding you quite annoying ms. invasion of privacy pony.”
“I’m sorry if I was raised wrongly after my foal-napping!” Sparkler snarled, “I’ve been working hard on being a good pony!”
“Yeah you’re doing a swell job at it.” Amethyst said sarcastically.
Sparkler turned away, hiding tear, “I think you’re dimensionally misplaced… You’re an alternate version of myself from a better universe. You p-probably were thrown here by unknown means… There, happy?”
“Wait...are you crying?” the cyborg pony asked.
“N-no!” Sparkler defended, holding back sobs.
“Crap she is. Ugh I really hate it when they cry like that.” Amethyst said to herself as she placed a hoof on Sparklers head. “Care to tell me what’s wrong?”
“I-I-I d-don’t kn-kno-know-w-w!” Sparkler said through tears, “I-I just-t feel s-s-sad th-tha-that you f-f-find-d m-m-m-me an-annoy-ing…”
“Okay maybe annoying was a harsh thing to say, and I’m s-sorry for saying that.”
“R-really...?” Sparkler sniffed.
“Yeah I really mean that.” Amethyst said patting Sparkler on the head.
Sparkler sniffed again and whipped her eyes, “S-sorry f-for crying-ing… M-my d-doctor says I’m u-underdeveloped.”
“Underdeveloped as in?”
“Emotionally… Said something about not having the right childhood…” She rubbed her face again, “M-maybe Mr. Walker can help. H-h-he helped m-me…”
“Who’s Mr. Walker?”
“Lance Walker, he’s a member of the Power Ponies.”
“Power Ponies? Aren’t they just a bunch of fictional characters from a comic book?”
“No,” Sparkler said, pulling up a watch-like communicator and pressed a button, “Lance? We got a problem here. Not a bad guy, just… A lost mare.”
“Lost mare? Could you care to be a little more… specific?” The voice on the other end asked.
“Another me… She calls herself Amethyst Star, and she’s a cyborg.” Sparkler added. “Not a clone, I checked.”
“I… see. Ironically, I found myself in a similar situation earlier. Bring her to the roof of Power Pony HQ. Earlier, I found a mare who was looking for her daughter. I’ll explain once you get here.”
“Okay, Psycho ou- Wait, I need a new codename. Psycho sounds too villainy.” Sparkler complained, “Sparkler Hooves out.” And she cut transmission.
“So I take it that was Lance you were talking to on the phone?” Amethyst asked.
“Yeah, but his codename is Gunvolt… Even though everyone calls him Lance anyway.” Sparkler shrugged. “Let’s get going, I bet a police car can get there quick!”
“Can’t we just teleport there?”
“Teleport? That’s a high level spell!”
“Wait, high level spell?”
“It’s difficult because so many things can go wrong… And my magic is limited to levitate and focus when I get sidetracked.”
“Well I can teleport.”
“Aww…” Sparkler groaned, “I wish I had that… But you don’t know where the tower is.”
“....Crap you’re right.”
“Wait! I know where it is, so I’ll just give you the information! If you’re okay with that...”
“Okay, just point me to where the building is, and I’ll take us there.”
“I meant… Mentally give you the information. We can’t see it from here, and I wouldn’t feel good knowing you didn’t know exactly where it is.”
“Okay that can work to.”
Sparkler closed her eyes, using her telepathy to feed Amethyst the information. “There, now take us there.”
“Alright, hold on to me. This might be a bumpy ride.” Amethyst’s horn started to glow, as she teleported them to the location that was given to her by Sparkler. They reappeared above the human Adept, crashing into him.
“Oh… oww.”
“I think this is the place, good thing we landed on something soft.” Amethyst said.
“G-girls… Y-you’re choking me…”
Amethyst turned her attention towards whatever it was that she was sitting on. “Hey Sparkler, who’s the hairless ape we’re sitting on?”
“Mr. Walker…” Sparkler groaned sickly. She tried to get off, and succeeded in rolling off of Amethyst.
“Oh…I think I broke him.”

“Oh dear, sorry about that!”
After the somewhat brief meeting with Lance, Twilight, and Ash. Derpy flew off into Maretropolis City to find Amethyst and Dinky. Normally this wouldn’t be a bad thing if somepony else was in the situation the muffin loving pegasus was in, but unfortunately this is not just some other pony. This was Derpy Hooves, and this city was pretty unfortunate to have her here as a….hero for fun, I guess? Anyway, where we last left our hero she was pretty much flying throughout the city trying to find her family. Would’ve been easy if she didn’t have a problem flying, and crashing into a few office building and companies.
“Maybe I should just walk instead of flying.” Derpy said, as she descended towards the street. Only for her to crash land onto a snobbish looking pony’s car. “Okay, note to self. Work on landing properly.” She said as she pulled herself from off the car. Derpy then reached into saddlebag for a pen and paper, and wrote an I.O.U on it before placing it under the destroyed car’s windshield wiper blade. “There, that should do it.... I hope I can figure out a way to repair this pony’s damaged chariot shape turtle.” The mare said as she trotted off, leaving the rich snobbish pony in shock at what just happened.
“Okay, so where do I start looking? From what Ash said there was another me and a sister that Amethyst didn’t know she had. So the best way to find them is to locate the royal guard of this city, or was it the police Ms. Lance said….ugh this world is so confusing.” Derpy said as she was thinking to herself. Before the pegasus could think any longer, she smelled some sweet in the air.
“What is that smell?” She asked, sniffing the air to that familiar bakery smell. “Wait, could it be.” Derpy felt herself slightly floating, as she followed the sweet pastry smell that was coming around the corner of the street. After making a left turn around the street corner, the mare’s eyes widen at what she found. Standing in front of her was a bakery store that sold nothing but muffins. “It is! My dreams have finally come true! A bakery that sell muffins of all types.” like a filly in a candy store, Derpy rushed towards the bakery without a second thought.
In the shadows of a dark alleyway, a mysterious figure covered in a full body cloak watch the cross eyed mare enter into the bakery. “Hm? Perhaps this can be fun?” in a flash the figure disappeared as it entered into the bakery seconds before Derpy entered. The baker within the shop felt a tap and was dragged into the shadows. “Sorry I need to see what I’m working with.” The figure said morphing into the baker unicorn. Derpy soon rushed in moments after with sparkles in her eyes.
“Excuse me, but does this place sells all types of muffins?”
“Why yes, yes we do.” The Baker Unicorn answered with a smile.
“Perfect!” The mare said, as she looked at the sign above the baker pony. “I’ll have the lemon surprise muffin please?”
The muffin was picked out for the pegasus mare. However behind the “Baker” another muffin was formed. “Here you go and seeing how you’re my 100th customer, I’ll give you a Golden Apple Muffin and the Lemon Surprise on the house.”
“Really? Thanks!” Derpy said as she grabbed both of the muffins, and trotted outside of the store. “What a good day this has been. First I meet some interesting ponies, and now I have two free muffins.” Just as the pony was about to eat the golden apple muffin, there was a huge exploding sound coming from behind the her. “What was that?” she asked as placed the muffin into her saddlebag, and flew off into the air. As she reached above the city, she notice that one of the office build that she flew into seconds ago was on fire. “Oh dear, I do hope nopony got hurt?” she wondered. “Maybe I can do something to help? After all Lance did say I am a hero so I might a well help out if needed.” with that, the grey pegasus flew off towards the burning builds.
(Center of Maretropolis)
A few minutes trying to fly perfectly without hitting anything on the way. Derpy made to what was used to be a street filled with buildings and ponies. Now it just looked like someone just set off a bomb or the aftermath of a comet hitting the earth. “What could’ve caused this?” She asked as she walked around scanning the area for anypony that survived the attack. During her search, she notice a small filly standing alone in the wreckage crying.
“*Sniff* Mommy, D-Daddy *Sniff* Where are you?!” cried the filly.
Derpy felt sorry for the poor little filly. All alone with no knowledge of where your parents are, it would bring almost anypony to tears. More specifically Derpy seeing how looking at the filly reminds her of Dinky being in the same situation as her, only different. “Poor little filly, maybe I can help her find her parents.” She thought as she begun to walk over to the filly, only for her eyes to widen as she say a strange purple like creature similar to Lance stood behind the pony. The creature was looking at the filly, as if it wanted to hurt or kill her for no reason. Just as the purple alien like ape was about to grab and crush the little filly. Derpy’s motherly instinct kicked in, as she grabbed the filly out of the way of the monster reach, and appeared a few inches away from him; placing the sobbing pony down.
“And who do we have here?” The alien creature asked, only for Derpy to turn around and glare at him.
“Just a mare who’s a hero for fun.” Derpy answered only for the alien to have a pissed off expression on his face.
“What kind of half-ass backstory is that?” He said, slightly turning around to look at the mare. “I was form from the constant stream of pollution with which you ponies have suffused the earth.”
“I am Vaccine Man!”
“Wait, so you’re a doctor?”
“....What?”
“Well you said that you’re a vaccine colt, so does that mean that you’re a doctor of some sort?”
“No, my name is Vaccine Man, I’m no doctor of any kind.” He said as he punched a piece of a broken wall. “I am here to kill off the pony race.”
“But you can’t do that. Aren’t doctors suppose to heal ponies, not kill them?”
“I’m not a doctor, you stupid pony! I’m here to save this earth from you evil ponies. The Earth is a single living organism and you ponies are the disease-causing germs killing it!”
“Wait, we’re covered in germs?” Derpy asked as she looked over herself. “Oh no! Quick doctor Vaccine Colt, use your healing magic to get them off me.”
Vaccine Man’s left eye twitched as he simple said nothing, but fired a ball of electricity at the caped mare. Derpy saw this and simply just deflected the attack off to the side. “What the?”
“Now that wasn’t very nice. You could’ve hurt somepony with that.”
“That’s the plan you cross-eyed mule.” He said as he fired another ball of electricity only for it to be deflected again.
“Stop that. Don’t you know that ponies are hurt around here because something caused this explosion?”
“I know,” Vaccine Man said with a sicky devilish smile on his face. “I’m the one who caused it.”
“You? But why? What did these ponies do to you that would make you do this?”
“Because you ponies are germs upon this earth. And I’m here to cure the earth by getting rid of you ponies.” Vaccine Man said, as he picked up a large metal pipe and launched it at Derpy.
Derpy picked up the little pony and moved out of the way successfully, only for it to hit her saddlebag. “Oh no my muffins.” She said mentally as the golden apple flavor muffin fell out and landed next to Vaccine Man.
“If it wasn’t for the fact that I used up most of my energy destroying the buildings I would have ended you quick-.” Vaccine Man was cut off mid sentence as he felt something hit his foot. “What’s this?” He asked picking up the muffin.
“Hey that’s my muffin! Give it back!” Derpy yelled, only for Vaccine Man to ignore her and devour the muffin in one bit.
“Oops, was that yours?” He asked sarcastically. Just as he swallowed the remains of the muffin, Vaccine Man felt a surge of energy flowing into him. “What is this strange feeling?”
“No! Not my special muffin! I was gonna eat that!”
“So this is how you were able to deflect my attack. Clever move pony, but now that I’m back to full strength. I can start my killing spree upon you filthy ponies.”
“Why? I know that some ponies can be jerks, but that doesn’t mean that you should kill them just because of whatever it is they did to you.”
“The will of the earth gave birth to me,” Vaccine Man said as his body began to change and grow. “so that I may destroy pony kind and it’s insidious civilization!!! A hero like you wouldn’t understand seeing how your on their side. Then again you’re not even a hero, just somepony who does this for fun? Is that the reason why you dare to oppose me?!” The alien asked as he towered over the grey pegasus in his monstrous form. “The Earth Apostle?!”
“Well that, and because you were about to hurt this little filly.” Derpy answered, as she placed the filly behind herself. “I’m starting to think that you’re not a doctor that heals ponies.”
“I AM NOT A FUCKING DOCTOR YOU BRAIN DEAD MULE! WHAT PART OF ME KILLING THE PONY RACE DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!”
“Um...I was kinda going in and out during your little speech.” Derpy answered smiling sheepishly. “But I do know that I have to stop you seeing how you’re trying to destroy these innocent ponies.”
“You stop me?” Vaccine Man laughed at what Derpy said. “What makes you think that you can stop me? Once I kill you I’m going to destroy everything you hold dear. Friends, Family, your fellow heroes, and the source to your powers that I ate.”
“You mean.”
“Oh yes foolish pony, I’m going to destroy the place that sold you that muffin I ate.” Derpy eyes widen as something inside her made her snap the moment Vaccine Man said that. The mare started to walk towards him as Vaccine man continued to monologuing his plan. “Now then prepare to die along with the rest of your race, you foolish po-.” Vaccine Man was unable to finish, as Derpy delivered body shattering blow to his chest. As the hoof made contact, Vaccine Man’s body burst into a million chunk of alien meat as it splattered around the area she was standing in.
“No pony destroys my new favorite place to buy muffins.” Derpy said as she wiped away the green blood from off her hoof. “I’m sorry for killing you Mr. Vaccine Man, but I can’t allow you to go on your murderous rampage throughout Maretropolis.” She said as she turned her attention at the filly, who was looking at her in both shock and awe. “Are you okay little pony.”
“Y-Yes, I’m fine.” She answered while sniffing a bit. “Aren’t you Detective Hooves of the police department?”
“Y-You could say that.” Derpy answered as she lowered down to the filly. “My name is Derpy Hooves, what’s your name?”
“S-Screwball.”
“Well it’s nice to meet you Screwball. May I ask what happen to you?”
“I got lost when I was trying to find my mommy and daddy, so I figure I go look for them at their job.” Screwball said while trying to wipe away her own tears. “Then there was huge explosion, and I found myself here when I woke up.”
“Well than.” Derpy extended a hoof toward the swirly eyed pony. “How about we look for them together then?” Screwball nodded as a smile appeared on her face. With Derpy’s help the little filly pulled herself up and hopped onto the gray pegasus’s back. “But before we go and head off to where Mr. Lance lives, how about I take you to the best muffin store this city has to offer?” Screwball simply nodded, as Derpy smile at the little filly’s response. “Perfect! To the muffin store.”
As the two flew off into the distance, the same shadowy figure appeared again. Watching the mare fly off into the city. “Well that was an interesting turn of events.” It said as it began to sink into the shadows. “I’ll have to inform the doctor about what just happen. He might find this Derpy Hooves very interesting for his research on evolution."
(Moments later)
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE MUFFIN STORE GOT DESTROYED?!” Derpy yelled as a police officer covered his ears from the mare’s yelling.
“It’s like I said before Detective Hooves, the store just blew up for some reason. From what I gathered from the civilians, they say that a blue ball just came out of nowhere and just hit the store.”
“What blue ball? I didn’t see anything come towards the store when I went to investigate that huge explosion in the center of the city-.” Derpy paused for a moment as she realized what the police officer ment. She remember that she deflected one of Vaccine Man’s attack to the side. As the hamster or whatever it was that was going through her head started to move, she put two and two together as her eyes widen in shock and horror. “Oh no. Not again.”
“Um, Detective Hooves are you okay?” He asked as Derpy fell to her knees with tear falling from her eyes. What she was about to say next was a surprise to pretty much everypony within the area.

“So….care to explain who you are, hairless ape girl?” Amethyst asked while eyeing Lance up and down.
“One, I am not a girl,” The human pointed out as Sparkler took her leave. “Two, I have a name. I’m called Gunvolt in the field, but when we’re not on duty, you can call me Lance.”
“Okay then... Lance. So mind telling what’s going on? Because right now I’m a little bit annoyed that I’m in this stupid city named… whatever it is, and not only that but I can’t find my aunt or niece.”
“That’s what I thought… and maybe I can help you answer some of those questions. Would your Aunt happen to be Derpy Hooves-.” The Adept was soon interrupted by Amethyst, who soon reacted to hearing her aunt’s name.
“Wait how do you know my aunt’s name?”
“I know her because I ran into her earlier today.” He explained, noticing the cybernetic enhancements on Amethyst’s body. “She was quite worried about you and her daughter, Dinky.”
“Well who wouldn’t be worry when their family member is gone missing.”
“That wasn’t the only thing she was… worried about. She was also worried about a free muffin sale?”
“Mother of Celestia, did you let her use the oven?”
“Oh no no no no.” Lance ensured her. “Thankfully, we already had some muffins on hand that Filli-second baked yesterday, so she had those. I also believed she said something about going to the muffin store… But I’m not entirely sure how that turned out.”
“Does this place have a TV or something? If so then you might want to turn it on.” With that in mind, Lance brought the pony downstairs and turned on the HDTV that was in the break room. What they found was… not what they were expecting.
“NO! NOT THE MUFFIN STORE! WHY MUST THE GOOD DIE UNEATEN!”
“Ma’am please calm down, I’m sure Maretropolis City has another place that sells muffins.”
“It’s not the same! This was the only place that sold free muffins!”
“I think that answers your question Lance?” Amethyst asked.
“Not quite… How would the place get wrecked in the first place? …… I’m going to call her.” He replied, taking his communicator and turning on the speaker. It took a couple of minutes, but soon, he was able to get a hold of the mare.
“Hello?” said Derpy as she answered the communicator on her hoof.
“Derpy, what happened? I come to turn on the TV to find you grieving over a muffin store.” Lance asked as turned up the speaker so Amethyst could listen.
“Well on my way to look for Amethyst and Dinky, I found a store that sold free muffins. So I figure why not stop and get some, then as I was leaving there was a huge explosion coming from the center of the city. So I flew over there to see what was going, that’s when I met this weird hairless purple human like alien named Vaccine Man that was destroying the place and almost attack a little filly named Screwball. Say hi Screwball.”
“Hi!”
“ … You punched him, didn’t you?” The Adept asked, having a bad feeling of what she was gonna say.
“Well I didn’t want, but he said that he was gonna destroy and kill every single pony on the face of Equestria. Not only that but her was gonna destroy all the muffins.”
Lance looked back at Amethyst for a moment before looking back at his phone. “So, that is your report?”
“Yes…”
“You killed a so called Vaccine Man…”
“I didn’t want to kill him, but he left me with not choice. He wanted to destroy all the muffins.”
“And you rescued a filly who was looking for her parents?”
“With the big swirly eyes.”
Lance personally sighed at the last statement, looking back at Amethyst before facepalming himself and speaking again. “You really need to let us know when you are going out into town.”
“And you need to get some more muffins in here!!!”
Lance groaned at the last part, but then thought of something. “Hey Derpy, I’m going to send somepony out to your location. What is the current street you’re on?”
“Um….I’m at a place with a donut shop and a pie shop.” Lance typed those into a search algorithm on his communications device and soon got a result. “Alright, thanks Derpy. I’m sending her your way.” With that he ended the phone call and looked back at Amethyst.
“I figured out the street where your aunt is.” He told her briefly before showing up a digitized map. “She’s at the intersection between 1st and Mane Street on the corner. It shouldn’t be that far of a trot and given that it’s almost sundown, I don’t expect that she will stay there for long. You ready to get her?”
“Not like I have a choice, Faust knows I can’t leave her alone for too long.”
“Just be careful. Even though you have those mechanical limbs of yours, it doesn’t mean that you will intimidate everypony you meet. Be aware of your surroundings. I have faith in you that you will bring her back here safely.”
“Yeah, yeah. Like I need someone with a personality like yours to say stuff like that.” Amethyst said as she trotted out the room.
(Maretropolis City Street)
“This is why I hate cities.” The Cyborg Pony said as she was trying to figure out where she was. “These stupid building are blocking my way, and it’s hard to find out where to look for the street I’m trying to find.” Amethyst was trying her best to pay attention to the street signs, but also tried to stay off of the ground. She feared that her cybernetic limbs would attract attention, so she tried sticking to the roof and looking for her mother from above.
However, at one point, the Unicorn found herself puzzled and lost on another roof. Until she heard a voice behind her. “You need some help, Miss?” When she turned around, a human with a white hood over his head took off the hoof and looked back at her. “You look like you're lost.”
“Yeah, I’m trying to find this place on this digital map Lance gave me.” Amethyst said showing the human the map. “One thing that Lance did do was show me a map of this city. Speaking of him, you look almost like him just less girly...who are you?”
“So Lance met you already? I guess you’re part of the team now,” He replied. “I’m Cody. I’m a friend of Lance’s from his world, but here, everypony calls me Copen.”
“Amethyst is my name, and I don’t know what team you’re are talking about, but I’m not part of any team.”
“Oh so you aren’t part of the Power Ponies? Or is this some other thing that you saw as important and Lance decided to assist you?”
“Look I’m just looking for my aunt Derpy okay. Not part of any power pony league or whatever.”
“Right… Says for the fact that you’ve been reading the map upside down the entire time.” Copen pointed out. “You missed your destination a few blocks ago.”
“Are you trying to piss me off? Because if you are, it’s working, and you do not want to piss of a cyborg pony like me.”
“Hey, I wasn’t trying to do that. I was trying to help you because I was at the scene where your Aunt was a few moments ago. I’m trying to help you-.” The boy said, until he stopped and began to look around. “Do you hear that?”
“Hear what? You mean that annoying buzzing sound?”
“Yeah…” Copen replied. Thinking and listening a little more, he soon reached for his specialized revolver out of the holster on his hip. “Something isn’t right… Why does it feel like we kicked a hornet’s nest?”
“It could be because of that swarm of bugs up there to your left.” Amethyst said pointing a hoof past Cody. When he turned around to look, all the bugs around there began to increase as the size of the swarm grew bigger.
“This… might be a problem. Those aren’t bugs… they’re Mosquitos.”
“Seriously?! Ew gross!”
“That may not be our… only problem.” Copen informed the pony, the wristband on his wrist taking form into his combat shield.
“Well this is interesting. Never thought to see more ponies alive in this city, and an added bonus a human as well.” Both hunter and cyborg looked up to see who was talking to them, only to see that they were taking form into what looked like some sort of weird and creepy hybrid of a human and insect.
“Mother of Celestia what is that thing?” asked Amethyst. “It looked like an offspring of a bug and a hairless ape.”
“Personally, I don’t know and I don’t care. But whatever it is, it looks like it wants to kill us,” Copen snarled, using his shield to be set up as a barrier as he aimed his revolver. “Can you fight, Amethyst?”
“Just a little, why you ask?”
“Well, hopefully, that little will keep us alive long enough.”
“Wait, what’s that suppose to mean?” Before Copen could answer, the two of them soon attracted the attention of the Insect hybrid as she looked straight at them.
“You know it’s rude to talk behind a lady’s back?”
“Good lord, just what the hell are you suppose to be!?” Copen asked.
“......I’m going to enjoy sucking the blood out of you two.” Mosquito Girl said as she flicked her claw, motioning the swarm of mosquito to attack him and Amethyst. Copen himself was prepared so to speak, using incendiary ammunition to set a section of the swarm on fire.
“Oh how cute. The little man thinks he can kill my swarm with a little match like that?” She said as she summoned more. “Well let’s see how good you are with that little thing you call a weapon, hero.” Cpoen just smirked, pointing his finger at Mosquito Girl before saying two words.
“Burning Finger!” In an instant, the move that Copen obtained from one of the Qunicy’s under Gremmy covered Mosquito Girl in a burning pillar of fire.
“You do realize that move isn’t going to finish her off right?” Amethyst asked, not taking her eyes off the pillar of fire.
“I know. But that’s not the point.” Copen told her. “The point is to get the attention of somepony who might be able to provide backup. Because something tells me that our little insect lady has a few more surprises for us.”
“Right you are little man.” Mosquito Girl said, as she knock the fire away from around herself. “But you’ll be dead before anyone can come and save you both.” She said as she began to charge at them in a break neck speed.
“Bug lady’s coming this why! Do something, you’re the hero after all.” said Amethyst.
“Then what are you suppose to be!?” Copen questioned, using his shield to smash it into Mosquito Girl’s nose and face.
“How should I know!? I just got here thank you very much!”
“I’m not trying to be mad at you, I’m trying to help you-.” Copen said again, only stopping when the millions of insects around them began to swarm around Mosquito Girl. “Okay… this is bad.”
“Really? What was your first clue when they began to swarm around her?”
“Sarcasm is not your best trait.” He replied, just as the insects around them began to stop swarming, but the ones who did make their presence known soon dispersed, revealing their foe’s new form.
“You know for a hero you should’ve killed her with that fire spell you just did earlier.” Amethyst suggest before turning her attention at Mosquito Girl. “Now we have to deal with this ugly red freak.”
“I’m a part time hero. I mostly do this for fun on a normal basis.” Copen grinned, noticing the cybernetic legs of the pony. “Hey… If you are a cyborg, can’t you use your mechanical legs for something?”
“Oh sure I can do that, maybe all I have to do is point a hoof at her and she’ll be dead in a few seconds.” Amethyst said sarcastically. “Do I look like a pony that know what the hell she’s doing-?” While Amethyst was talking, Copen had to leap and push her out of the way of the incoming swarm that almost got her. But, in doing so, He had a gash show up across his right arm because of the metal spike on Mosquito Girl’s forehead.
“Less talk… more action.” Copen sighed, groaning a little from the pain.
“Right...so any ideas on how to beat her, because so far unless you have a spell that can match her speed along with the swarm, then we’re pretty much bone in most cases.”
“Fire works against them… Do what you were saying earlier.” He told her. “Aim your hoof and say incinerate.”
“What is that suppose to do?” Amethyst asked as she aimed a hoof at Mosquito Girl. “Because I don’t think this is going to-.”
“Just try it!” Copen snapped, using his shield to try and provide cover for her while she aimed.
“FINE YOU HAIRLESS APE!” She yelled turning her attention back at the villain. “INCINERATE!!!” To her surprise, blasts of fire emerged from her own hoof, almost blowing up the nearby rooftop where Mosquito Girl was. Copen smiled a little, surprised, but glad that it worked. Amethyst herself though… was quite stunned. “W-What the buck did I just do?!”
“I think your front legs are incendiary cannons. The only way you activate them though is through verbal commands.” Copen hypothesized. He noticed that the swarm had stopped, but Mosquito Girl was still there. And she was pissed. With a quick swipe, she was able to tear apart the building that was under him to shreds, causing the whole thing to collapse.
“Run!!” Copen yelled, just before the two of them began to slip and fall towards the ground below. Amethyst landed with a loud THUD!! against the pavement while the boy fell onto the top of a carriage. The Unicorn was okay, but the hunter who fell on the carriage… wasn’t in the best of shapes.
“A-amethyst… A-are you alright!? I-i think the fall broke my ribs.” His words were fallen on deaf ears though as the Cyborg pony herself was trying to regain her footing after the fall she had. Mosquito Girl was inching closer the more she struggled. But in this chaos though, something… unexpected happened.
“NOW DIE WORTHLESS-!”
SMACK!!!
When Mosquito Girl was originally charging her, Amethyst closed her eyes, trying to not see her fate. But, when she opened them, the Unicorn was treated to a much… different sight.
“Mosquitos, are annoying.” Derpy said as she used her cape to wipe her hoof off. “Guess that explains that annoying buzzing sound I heard earlier. That and the few dried up ponies.”
“A-aunt Derpy!?”
Upon hearing her name being called. Derpy turned around to see Amethyst and Copen beside herself. “Oh hi Amethyst and….injured human. How are you doing today?”
“O-okay. Oww…” Copen groaned, grabbing his chest. “And I have a name. It’s Cody.”
“That’s a weird name for a human.”
“It’s… Oww… common back home.” He replied, personally surprised that the two ponies didn’t notice that he was holding his arm where his ribs were broken. Soon though, Derpy was getting another phone call on her communicator and proceeded to happen.
“Hello, this is Derpy Hooves. May I ask who is calling?”
“Derpy…” The voice on the other end that she knew as Lance spoke. “What… happened?”
“Well first off I was minding my own business trying to find another muffin store after dropping Screwball off-.”
“Minding your own business? Then why is it that on TV, I see the blood of the villain you were facing painted across the apartment complex and-. Wait, is that Copen?” Lance stopped, asking that before realizing what was going on. “Derpy, Amethyst. Get Copen back here right now! His ribs are broken and if you two don’t get him back here, he’ll start bleeding out.” The last part got the two ponies to notice his condition as they saw parts of his white outfit begin to turn Crimson red.
“Don’t worry I’ll bring them both to Power Pony HQ in no time, Lance.”
“Got it. I’ll be waiting with Masked Matterhorn and a few others waiting on standby to help attend to Copen once you two arrive. Gunvolt out.” The transmission soon ended as Derpy soon trotted over to where Copen and Amethyst are. Before getting a look of confusion from Copen.
“Okay, how are you suppose to bring me there?”
“Um, did you not see my aunt hoof smack that monster in the face and into the building across from us?” Amethyst asked. “I’m pretty sure she can carry you back to the base.”
“I know… But she said that she was going to bring us both.” He deadpanned. “Aren’t you a little concerned about one mare trying to carry two people that are probably heavier than her weight wise, no offense.”
“...Auntie show this idiot that you can carry us.” Amethyst asked as Derpy moved over towards them, and lifted them onto her back without a problem. “See?”
“Okay I was wrong, sorry about that.”
“You should be sorry, though I am sorry about what’s going to happen to you in about a few seconds or so.”
“Wait, wha-?”
“Onwards to Power Pony HQ!” Derpy yelled as she flew off like a bullet through a building in front of herself. “Oops, didn’t see that building in front of me. Is Copen okay?”
“Y-yeah…” He said, sarcastically. “Just a scrape.”
“Yeah because the blood from your forehead says otherwise.” Amethyst said sarcastically. “I’m pretty sure he has a concussion or brain damage...I think.”
“That was there BEFORE that-. LOOK OUT!!!” He yelled, just as Derpy dodged an incoming billboard. Only for her to smash through another building again.
“How much more until we get there?” Copen asked, trying his best to hang on.
“This is my aunt we’re talking about, this might take a while.”
(Few hours later, past sundown)
“Well, you were able to bring Copen back. That’s one thing.” The Azure Striker told Derpy and Amethyst after he checked on his friends recovery. “With the healing spells we have right now, he should be working back at the Police Department with Detective Hooves tomorrow.” Lance sighed as he watched Derpy eat a muffin while Amethyst was watching him. “However, what is beyond me is how you brought him back in a worse condition than he was when I last saw him. Radiance was even freaking out about having to remove the blood out of his clothes.”
“To be fair you had Derpy bring us back to HQ. You should’ve realize that something like this would happen.” Amethyst said.
“If so, then you should speak up and tell me. I could’ve been able to instant transmission myself over to you guys and brought you back without having the need to take a shortcut. I would’ve been more than willing to do that to help you.” He explained. Sighing a little, he then looked at the two of them. “Okay, now that we have that established, I remember Derpy telling me that there is probably one more of your family that’s still out there that you need to find.”
“Yeah, you wouldn’t happen to know where Dinky is do you?”
“No, but I might have a lead.” Lance told them, a set of papers appearing in his hand. “Authorities along the coast of Baltimare have been getting reports of a lost filly that has been trotting along the streets, looking for her mother and cousin. However, they haven’t gotten on top of that because of another problem.”
“And that would be?”
“The reports are of a monster that’s attacking trade ships coming to and from the Baltimare Harbor. The locals are calling it The Sea King .” He said, showing them an image that was caught by a newspaper reporter on the subject.
“Ew what is that thing? It looks like an offspring of a human and a fish.”
“Actually, it’s unknown as to what it is, but they say it’s a demon that lurks in the waters.” The Adept responded. “Tomorrow, I’m needed to help out around the city so I can’t assist you. Copen though will be fully healed by morning, so he’ll be able to help you two on your travels. Also, Amethyst, Spike gave me something to help you.” He told her, handing a small SD card that she put in her foreleg before taking it out.
“What the hay is this?”
“It’s a memory card that Spike said you should have installed in you. It’ll allow your cyborg body to be able to use the same spells that you could when you were a Unicorn. Like Levitation, Teleportation and so on. It’ll be handy for when it’s needed in a pinch.”
“I already know my basic spell from when I was back in Ponyville. So I don’t need something like that.”
“Yes, but since you are mostly a Cyborg now, if you tried using those spells, the rest of your body will backfire and possibly cue a self destruct sequence. These codes allow your body to recognize the magical energy so there isn’t any glitches.”
“UGH! Fine I’ll use it you annoying human! Faust, I’m surprise that no one punched you in the face yet.”
“Hey, Lance. Did Amethyst get the codes I made for her-.” Humdrum walked in to see Amethyst. “Oh… Hi.”
“....Seriously? Wow that is one lame hero outfit that Spike has on.”
“I tried asking for a new one, but Radiance said no capes.”
“Well this Radiance pony needs to have a better taste in making superhero outfits, because what you’re wearing is something somepony wear when is forplaying with somepony.”
“What was that I heard about my suits?!” A certain white Unicorn trotted in, glaring at Amethyst. The one thing that the Cyborg did not know was that Radiance was actually Rarity. So, basically, she just insulted a lady that was a close friend to her aunt.
“I said your taste in making superhero outfits suck. I mean seriously these outfits you guys wear; minus Lance and Cody. Do you see somepony wear these in between the 70’s or 80’s?”
“Coming from somepony who doesn’t have any whites in their eyes.” Radiance shot back, “I am a fashion designer, mind you, and I make our outfits based on our identities. I don’t think you can see the amount of craftsmanship I put into these.”
“Yeah well for a fashion designer you kinda suck at your job.” Amethyst paused for a brief moment, remembering what she said before. “Wait, what was that about my eyes!?” She asked as she levitated a mirror towards her to get a better look at her eyes. “Oh you have got to be kidding me! I look like something from a Nightmare Night store!”
“Technically, you’re a Cyborg. Besides, Derpy was displaced here when she was trying to buy something for Dinky’s Nightmare Night Costume.” Lance mentioned. “Which reminds me… How did you end up here anyways, Amethyst?”
“Would you believe that I was in the same boat as my Aunt?”
“Yes I can.” Lance replied. “Happened to me too a few months back when I first got here, but that’s a different story.”
“Great, so we’re stuck here for faust knows how long.” Amethyst said as she slammed her head on the table she was sitting by. “This is going to be such a pain in my flank.”
“Give it time,” The Adept replied, “I honestly thought that the first day I was here… Until Solaria started chucking Wrenches at my head as a training exercise.”
“Something tells me you suffered brain damage when that happen.”
“No actually. Since I’m an Adept, I can heal faster than normal.” He explained. “Anyways though, we should all get some rest. Derpy, Amethyst, after you find Dinky I want to make sure and assist you however I can.” With that, he handed what looked like a second one of the hairpins that was on the end of his braid to Derpy. “Keep this on you. It’ll allow for you to summon me when you are in an emergency.”
“Seriously you sure you’re not a girl?”
That question was answered once Lance hung up his coat and unzipped the jacket underneath, showing the Adept’s flat chest and muscles. “What did I tell you before? I just prefer to have my hair grow out… Now, I’m going to hit the hay. I’ll see all of you in the morning.”
“Before you go Lance, somepony came by and wanted me to give you and Twilight a letter.” said Humdrum as he took a look at it. What he found… wasn’t the most pleasing of things to find out about.
“Derpy… The bill just came in for the amount of property damage that happened today… Why is the total over fifty thousand bits!?!”
“Oh during my time in the city, Mayor Mare saw me and wanted to ask me a few question. So after a few hours and some free muffins, she wanted me to tell you that any damage that I cause by accident or not Twilight will have it cover. She also said that Twilight will be paying any bills that we have for our new house that she got for us. It was really super nice that she did that for us, though I do wish I could understand what she said by ‘Chrysalis send her regards.’ ”
Amethyst expression on the outside was as emotionless as a fish, but on the inside she was laughing like a mad pony after hearing that. “S-So Lance.” The cyborg pony said, while trying not to laugh. “I hope you and Twilight have enough money to cover for my Aunt.”
“For now… We can. But if she keeps on doing this…” The Adept sighed. “I rather not think about it. Having our budget cancelled is the last thing we need right now. Especially with all the ponies that broke out of the Zero Zone.” He then continued to walk down a hall, heading into his room before closing it and going to sleep.
“Man you guys are the grand centrail station of disappointment huh?” Amethyst said sarcastically.
“....I get the feeling you’re gonna be sarcastic every time you’re annoyed or bored?” asked Radiance.
“Only when I want to….which is pretty much all the time when I’m around other ponies that annoy me.”

“Dinky!” yelled Derpy as she flew through the city looking for her daughter. “Dinky, where are you?! Oh geez, I hope she’s okay on her own? Or at least not causing any trouble for anypony that finds her.” Moments after searching around the city of Maretropolis. Derpy landed in the middle of the city’s national park as she pulled out the digital map given by Lance. “Okay so I looked for her at the school, bookstore, and the amusement park. Maybe she might be somewhere near the arcade store?” While Derpy was busy looking at the complicated map, she heard something coming from behind. As she turned around she say a bald human wearing what appears to be some kind of power armor.
“What the hell? Another one of you ponies?”
“Who are your mysterious bald human?”
“I don’t have time for this crap.” He said as he delivered a powerful punch at Derpy. “I better get out of here quickly-.”
“Hey that wasn’t very nice.” As the dust cloud cleared up, Derpy was still standing without a scratch on herself. “You could really hurt somepony like that.”
“T-The hell, I thought I killed her with that punch?”
“Are you a bad guy or just some troubled youth? Because if you are troubled, maybe you can pick up a hobby or something?”
“You little pest!” The human said as his suit started to power up. “I’ll crush you into dust!” With his suit at maximum, the human charged at Derpy as his arms spun around like a windmill hoping to catch the mare by surprise. Only for her to catch both of his arms with ease. “W-What the!”
“My daughter Dinky did the same move you just did once. I would alway catch them like this whenever she tries to get out of going to the doctors.” With a quick jab to the human’s chest, the armor that was protecting the human was scattered into a million pieces leaving the man naked. Derpy’s face turned bright red as she looked away while covering her face.
“W-Wait, I just wanted to get out of working out.” The human said as he began to sweat like a fountain.
“D-Don’t be a bad guy anymore then, okay?”
“Huh? So you’re not going to kill me?”
“I only kill unless you’re trying to take over the world. J-Just go and cover yourself up please, I’m going to come after you unless you become evil again.”
“Okay! Thank you! I owe you one mysterious pony!”
“W-Wait! What’s your name?”
“Hammerhead!” He said as he took off into the distance, leaving the flustered pony to watch him run off in the nude.
“Humans are so weird.” Derpy said as she shook her head. “I wonder what that was all about? He said something about somepony chasing him. Maybe I should investigate to see what’s going on.” Just as she was about to head off, Derpy notice something shining off the corner of her left eye. “Huh? What’s that?” Derpy asked as she walked over to where the shining thing was. “Oh! A gem! Maybe I can buy some muffins with this….Oh wait the store got destroyed by that Vaccine Colt.”
As soon as she picked it up she heard a voice. “I am Asphyxious the Iron Lich, if you need my aid just take this token and call my name.”
“Gah! The gem talks!” Surprised at what she heard, Derpy accidentally threw the gem into a tree, splitting the tree in two. “Oops, I hope nopony saw that.” That when a portal opens and a strange human wit ha tail jumped out of the portal. The human drops top the floor panting.
“I hate dragon spawn…” gasped Asphyxious as he looks up and stop at who he was seeing. The one eyed half dragon was at a loss for words seeing Derpy. “Umm, hi…”
“Hi...um...who or what are you? You look like a human, but you have some features of a dragon for some reason.”
“It’d take to long to explain, but by the sounds of it you’ve met a Displaced before then huh? Or is this a world where human live with ponies?” asked Asphyxious as he stands up and looks around. “Wait… I know this place… This is where the cute displaced twins live.”
“Well to answer your first question I have met only two Displaced humans here. They go by the name of Lance and Cody, or by that the city calls them Gunvolt and Copen.”
“Never heard of them. But I got to ask what with the get up, and if you don’t mind… can I hug you?” asked Asphyxious as he try to look at something else.
“I’m just a hero for fun really, and as for you second question sure.” Derpy said as Asphyxious picked her up and hugged her with a big smile.
“Your so soft and cuddly!” He said with a smile. It only when Asphyxious stop hugging her that he notices the destroyed tree. “What happened to that tree?” He asked as he put her down.
“Oh that? Well I found this talking gem, and I kinda threw it at that tree by accident.”
“Yeah, that was my token. It how I got here.” He said as he go over to pick it up then hands it to her. “This is how I can be called to other worlds where other displaced live. By the way why are you? Out here maybe I can help?”
“I’m trying to find my daughter, DInky.” Derpy answered, as Asphyxious saw a worry expression on Derpy’s face.
“Well then let go find her. I’ll even help.” said Asphyxious as he smiles at the supermare
“You will? Oh thank you so much mysterious human-dragon person!”
“Just call me Asphyxious or Ax for short.” said Asphyxious with a smile. “Besides I have kids to so I know how you're feeling-.”
“Hey, you two.” said a mysterious voice from behind them. Derpy and Asphyxious turned around to see a colt wearing a tight black latex suit, with a purple scarf around his neck.
“Well… someone into S and M.” said Asphyxious with a bored look on his face.
“I’m looking for a man by the name Hammerhead. Do you know where he is?” The colt ninja asked, as Derpy pointed to her left.
“Yeah, he went that way. Though you might want to be careful, he’s buck naked.”
“What kind of name is Hammerhead, and why do you want him? Is he your boyfriend or something. I mean it okay if he is there nothing wrong with what you’re into-.” before Asphyxious could finish his statement, a kuni was heading towards his face. Only for Derpy to quickly grab it before it made contact with his forehead. Asphyxious slowly looked at the mare with a surprised look on his face and said. “Your fast.”
“Hey, that wasn’t very nice-.” as Derpy turned her attention back at the mysterious ninja colt, she saw the ninja’s blade heading towards her eye. In a split second, Derpy grabbed the blade with one hoof like it was nothing. “That wasn’t very nice either.” She said as she broke the ninja’s blade.
“The hell?” was all he thought as he quickly backed away from the mare in the yellow suit.
“I think I’m in love.” Said Asphyxious as he blinks at Derpy. “Just how strong are you?”
“Explain yourself mare, just who are you?”
“Haven’t you heard of me? I’m Derpy Hooves, the mare who’s a hero for fun?”
“Never heard of you.”
“...Oh….”
“Now that just mean.” said the half dragon as he go up to Derpy and rubs her head. “There, there I’m sure lots of ponies will know your name once we find Dinky and get you two home.”
“It doesn’t matter if I know who you are or not.” The ninja said as he sheathed his broken sword. “You read my attacks. Twice. That’s the real problem.”
“I only read the first one, I was going to move out of the way but Derpy beat me to it.” said Asphyxious bluntly as he pet the mare’s mane.
“Not you simpleton, her.” He said pointing a hoof at Derpy. “Born in a ninja village, I’ve been perfecting my techniques since childhood. Yet you saw right through them. This I cannot allow. My pride won’t have it.”
“How about once we find Dinky we all go out for Ice cream, what do you think my treat.” Asphyxious asked as he paid no attention to the ninja.
“Sure!” answered Derpy as she to was not paying any attention to the ninja ever.
“HEY! I’M TALKING TO YOU YEAH IDIOT!”
“Looks who talking, we could of attacked you at anytime you was monologuing.” said Asphyxious waving the ninja off. “Besides I’m not worried over someone as weak as you.”
“Really now?” The ninja said as he vanished from out of Asphyxious’s field of vision, only to appear in front of him. As soon as Asphyxious saw this, he try to swing at the ninja with his cutlass only to miss as he vanished again, but not before the ninja got in a swift kick to his chest. Making a small dent into his chest plate.
“Wow, he might be faster than Rainbow Dash.” Derpy said as she turned her attention back at the ninja.
“That really interesting, I haven’t met anyone who could move that fast before. Not only that but I don’t use my human form for fighting much. On the other hand, I can’t just let something like this pass me by. This is going to be fun.” Asphyxious said as he cast a spell as circly runes appeared around his feet.
“I don’t know how well this spell with work, so I will thank you for testing it out for me.” said Asphyxious he points his cutlass at the ninja. “What your name?”
“Speed of Sound Sonic.” The colt replied as a creepy smile appeared on his face.
“Never heard of you.” said Asphyxious as he tore up the ground as he ran at Sonic at high speeds.
“Trying to match my speed with a spell that increases your own? How pathetic!”
“Not really. Its taking what you know, and using it for something else!” yelled Asphyxious as his blade carved out a path distortion in front of him. “The hard part is control and not using too much.”
“Heh.” Sonic simply vanished as he once again appeared behind Asphyxious. “What good is that attack if you can’t keep up?” He asked as hit the displaced in the face, knocking him back a few inches away from him. Asphyxious just smiled even if he was bleeding from the hit.
“There one drawback to all that speed.” Asphyxious said as he spits out some blood and rubs his face. “You lack the power to go with it.”
“You mean something like this! Hail of Carnage!” Sonic yelled as he threw a barrage of, what appears to be, explosive ninja stars at Asphyxious, catching him off guard. “I seen through your moves, you not that hard to beat when you rely on magic to fight-.”
Before the ninja stars could even hit Asphyxious, Derpy immediately grabbed them from out of the air. “Not to be a buzz kill or anything, but this fight has to stop.”
“Derpy! throw those things away they-!” yelled the Displaced, but it was to late as the ninja stars explode.
“Idiot, maybe next time you should stay out of-.”
“Wow! I did not expect that to happen. I thought they were just toys like little colts and fillies play with.” Derpy said as she brushed off the dust from the explosion. “Now then, as I was saying this fight is over-.” Before the mare could say anything else, Sonic began to ricochet around Derpy at break neck speed like a bullet bouncing off metal in a square room.
“Well… looks like I’m out of this fight.” said Asphyxious as he sit down and rests. “I don’t think he's going to give up Derpy!” he calls out to the mare in the in the middle of Sonic attack.
“What do you think of this speed that beats sound? Of these shockwaves? Can you even see me? How can a pegasus like you possibly keep up with me?” Launching himself off the tree, Sonic began to head towards Derpy with the intent to kill her. Only for Derpy to look at the direction he was coming towards her at.
“Can I go home?”
In a state of shock and surprise at how the mare knew where he was coming at. Sonic shifted his body around as he lifted his leg up while descending. “Bastard! Wind Blade Kick!”
Derpy simply took a step back as the attack missed her by a second. “Looks like I win.” She said as she lifted her hoof to grab him by the scarf. Only that the hoof didn’t grab sonic’s scarf, as he was descending her hoof actually hit….a certain male part that all colts have. “AH! Oh dear! I’m sorry! I was suppose to grab your scarf while you landed next to me. Are you okay?” Asphyxious busted out laughing at what just happened. He rolled on to the floor, laughing like an hyena.
“Okay… I’m calm, I’ve stop laughing now.” said Asphyxious as he try to calm himself down.
“I’ve worked every job from assassin to bodyguard. No ninja is more deadly. I am Speed of Sound Sonic! But I’m putting my work on hold. Now that I’ve found such a formidable opponent, I’m dedicating myself to training until we settle this.”
“Um….okay.” Derpy said as she tried her best not to cringe at the way Sonic is standing.
“Let me know your name.”
“I-I’m Derpy Hooves.”
“Derpy! Next time we meet, it’ll be your demise!” With that, Sonic made his leave in a blink of an eye. “I, Speed of Sound Sonic, the ultimate ninja, will bring you down without fail!”
“.....Humans are so weird.”
“Yes we’re and so are ponies Derpy.” Said Asphyxious as he walks up to her side. “Let go find Dinky, one more thing. would you like to join my hoard?”
“What’s a hoard?”
“It like a family, it a dragon thing.” he said as they start to walk off.
“Sorry, but I already have a family of my own.”
“Aww I was hoping you’d join. Then Dinky and Pupa can be like sisters.” Asphyxious said with a smile.
“We can still be friends though right?”
Asphyxious just smiles at her as he give her a hug. “Sure I’d like that.” Asphyxious then gave Derpy a kiss on the nose before letting go. “If you ever change your mind let me know.”
“Okay I’ll let you know. So where do we start looking for Dinky?”
“Let think, what would she do if she was lost in a city and didn’t know where you was.” Asphyxious asked as he looks around thinking. “Would she know to ask someone for help? like a policeman?”
“I did try heading over there, but they haven’t seen her. Well that and they mistaken her as this world’s Dinky.”
“What different about your Dinky?” He asked as they walked out of the national park.
“Well if she’s anything like me, she might be dressed up as somepony else.”
“I see. Well the best we can do is keep looking and hope someone finds her and sends someone to call you that they found her.” said Asphyxious as he keeps walking. “First time I was here everything was so strange. Hey maybe the twins know where she is?”
“Twins? You mean the displaced humans you mentioned?”
“Yeah there a lot of them around here.” He ran up a building and then yelled as loud as he could. Sadly his yelling can’t match Lunas but it was close. “HEY! GHOUL TWINS! I NEED TO ASK YOU SOMETHING! WE NEED HELP FINDING DERPY DAUGHTER! ” over hundreds of windows shattered at the sound of Asphyxious voice.
“I hope the power ponies can cover the damage you just did.”
“I’m sure Twi can cover it. I mean she works for the princess right?” asked the Displaced half dragon as he get down.
“I….don’t know really. I think she works for the Mayor Mare.
“...What is it with you ponies and your puns?”
“This coming from the Displaced that scattered most of the windows within the area.” Amethyst said as she appeared a few inches next to Asphyxious.
“Hi.” He said with a smile. “It nice to meet you, I’m trying to help find Dinky.”
“...Who the human that looks like an offspring of a human and dragon?”
“Asphyxious the Hellbringer at you service my lady.” He said with a bow.
“Great another human that acts just like Lance...If he start going about being a hero crap then I’m leaving.”
“I’m not a hero, just a dragon trying to keep my hoard happy.” said Asphyxious as he smiled at them.
“Okay...you better not have been hitting on my Aunt.”
“I see nothing wrong with talking with such a lovely and kind mare.” said Asphyxious as he winks at Derpy.
“Oh my Celestia, you were hitting on her!” Amethyst said as her eyes glowed bright yellow at Asphyxious.
“What? I was just blinking.” He said with a smile.
“Okay that’s it. I’m so gonna-.” Before Amethyst could finish her statement. She felt herself being levitated slightly into the air. “What the?”
“Are you doing that?” asked Asphyxious as he looks at Amethyst as she floats.
“No that would be me.” said a young but aggressive voice coming from beside them. Standing beside them was a mare with emerald green mane that match her eyes, and a black dress.
“Your cute and all but I’ll have to ask that you let Amethyst down please.” said Asphyxious as he pulled a shotgun out of his echo.
“Quiet weakling.” The mare said as she knocked the shotgun out of his hand. “Don’t interrupt me while the big ponies are talking.”
“Funny I don’t see Luna or her fat sister anywhere?” said Asphyxious with a calm smile. “Derpy I think she want to fight.”
“I said quiet worm!” The mare said as she pinned Asphyxious to the street.
“Well… This sucks.” said Asphyxious as he lay there.
“Anyway, you pony.” The mare said as she turned her attention at Derpy. “Is your name Derpy Hooves?”
“Yep, that me!”
“Is this your daughter?” The mare said as she levitated a small unicorn towards her.
“Hi mommy! Hi Amethyst!” said Dinky with smile as she floats in the air.
“DINKY!”
“You hurt her and I’ll eat your soul!” Growls Asphyxious as he try to get back up. Only for his body not to listen.
“You’re really not that good at listening are you child. If I wanted to hurt her, I would’ve done so by now. Anyway while looking around the city, I just happen to find your daughter looking for two mares by the name of Derpy and Amethyst.” The mare said as she handed Dinky over to Derpy.
“Anyway, I’ll be heading off back to the hero association.” The mare said she was about to fly off. Only for Asphyxious to say something to make her stop for a moment.
“Umm, could you let me off the floor now please?” asked Asphyxious as he lay there.
“It’ll wear off when I leave the area. Maybe next time you think before you say something to someone that is an S class superhero that is stronger than you.”
“Maybe that why you and Derpy have sexy flanks.” Asphyxious thought as the mare talks.
“Pervert.” The mare said mentally towards Asphyxious, as she flew off.
“Bye Miss Tatusmaki!” Dinky said as she waved good-bye to the mare flying off. “Thank you for looking after me!”
Asphyxious meanwhile screams as he lay on the floor. “She has F.U.S.A.T. mind reading powers!” He screamed then stops then blushes. “She didn’t say she didn’t like it…”
“Keep it in you pants pervert.” Amethyst said. “Anyway, it looks like our family is back together now.”
“Thanks for trying to help me out Asphyxious.” Derpy said as she walked over to the Displaced, and kissed him on the cheek. “You been a real help.”
“What can I say, I can’t so no to those beautiful eyes.” said Asphyxious smiling at her. “So what do we do now? Want to hang out or see my world some time. I’ll even introduce you to Sister, Len, Chrysalis and my kids.”
“I’ll give you a call when I’m ready to meet your family. Right now I think we’re gonna call it a day seeing how we finally found Dinky.”
“I understand. Just say our contract is complete, and I’ll be send home.” Asphyxious said as he get feeling back into his body.
“Okay.” Derpy reached into her bag as she pulled out Asphyxious’s token. “Hey, I have a question. How can you get me to your home if I’m here?”
“Oh right you can make tokens to. Just pick a item then send it into the void. Don’t forget to say something about yourself to.” Asphyxious said as he looks at Dinky and waves.
“Okay thanks.” Derpy once again reached into her bag as she pulled out a muffin. “Guess I’ll use this as a token huh?”
“That could work. Hope no one eats it by mistake.”
“I’m sure they can tell the difference. So just say something short and sweet?” Asphyxious nods at this as he casts some magic on the muffin. “Okay, um...Hi, my name is Derpy Hooves. If you need any help with anything, just give me a call and I’ll.” Derpy said as she handed him the muffin token. “Like that?”
“Yeah like that.” He drops the muffin and it vanishes only for another one to drop into his hand. “It worked.”
“Well I guess we’ll see you again next time we meet.”
“Can’t wait my friend.” Asphyxious said with a grin looking into Derpy eyes.
“Don’t even think about it.” Amethyst said, still glaring at Asphyxious. “I know that smug grin on your face, and if you think you’re going-.” Asphyxious then kissed Derpy on the lips before Amethyst could finish.”OH YOU ARE SO DEAD MOTHERBUCKER!” Dinky grabbed the token as she completed the contract with Asphyxious for Derpy. As Amethyst was read to punch The Displaced in the face, the void closed up as she only hit the stop sign that was behind Asphyxious. “Dammit, I missed him.”
“L-Let’s just u-um head home for now o-okay?” Derpy suggested while still blushing after what happen.
“Fine, but if I do see that pervert again, I’m gonna punch his face off his head.”

“Dammit, of all the time for this place to be attacked.Why did it have to the day after we finally found Dinky?” Amethyst said as she hopped from building to building. “This is not what I signed up for. Stupid Lance and his stupid ‘always think just because you have, that makes you a hero’ bull crap attitude. If it wasn’t for the fact that Dinky asked me to help, I would’ve convinced Auntie to get us the hell out of here.”
“Then again it’s a little too late to start an evacuation. Especially when that meteor won’t just wipe out the entire city, but also the neighboring towns or cities as well.” Amethyst looked up at the huge rock falling from the sky for a moment, then looked at the briefcase she was given by the Power Ponies. “This weapon that Twilight made for me better work, or so help me I’ll haunt her when I’m dead.”
With a press of a button, Amethyst let go of the briefcase as it flew off a few feet away in front of herself. As it did it split in two and transformed into hoof shape gauntlets. Once the transformation was complete the robotic parts return to Amethyst as they hooked on to her arms. “Let’s see if an attack from my incineration cannon at full power will do the trick.” Amethyst said as she looked at her hooves. “Seeing how we live here for the time being, I can’t just leave without them can I?”
Just as she was about to head off, Amethyst saw something heading past her. From what she could tell it looked like some kind of human wearing a suit of metal armor. “What the hay is that?” she asked as she follow to where the metal being landed. “Hey, you there. Care to explain who you are?”
“So, you’re the pony that Tatusmaki told the hero association about.” said the metal being as it looked at her up and down. “I take you’re here to stop the meteor?”
“You could say that yes.” Amethyst said as she looked at him up and down. “You know if you’re here to help stop the meteor from crashing down on Maretropolis City. Maybe we can team up and see if we can-.”
“I refuse.”
“Huh, but why?”
“I only came to field test my new weapon. The meteor is a perfect target.”
“A test? If that meteor hits, you too will die along with everypony still in Maretropolis City.”
“I will not.”
“What do you mean by that tin can?”
“Tsh, useless piece of scrap metal.” Amethyst said, as she rushed off towards a tall build to position herself under the fall rock. “Alright, let’s see if this can-.”
“Firing missiles!” yelled Metal Knight as he fired a barrage of deadly missiles at the meteor.
“Dammit.” Amethyst disengaged her incineration cannon. “I can’t fire with his missiles are in the way.” she said as covered her eyes when the missiles made contact with the meteor. “Dear Celestia! Such destructive power. I hate to be on that guy’s list of villain to kill.” Amethyst was brought out of her train of thought, as she looked up to see the meteor still coming down upon the city.
“Not quite potent enough, eh?”
“Some help that tin can was.” Amethyst said mentally as she scanned the meteor. “33 seconds left until impact. To fire my incineration cannon at full power, I’ll need about five seconds to charge it with my body’s energy. B-But the target is already close. And if I do take it out, what then?” As she was thinking, an image of the meteor destroying Maretropolis appeared in her head. “The meteor may break apart and still cause a disaster. But even before that, will this weapon that the power ponies gave be powerful enough to stop it? Even Metal Knight’s countless missile barrage had no effect. What can I possibly do?”
“First off, you need to calm down.” Amethyst turned around and was surprised to see Maud standing behind her. “I see you’re lost your composure.”
“Maud? What the hell are you doing here?”
“Pinkie Pie called me here to see if I could help.” Maud answered as she looked up at the meteor. “Can’t really do much though seeing how I can’t break something like that.”
“Look not to sound rude or anything, but you might want to get the hell out of here while you still can. Right now we’re dead center to where the meteor is about to fall, and I don’t think I can do much right now.”
“I can tell seeing how you’re second guessing yourself. You’re far too young to be worried about failure. When your back’s up against the wall, just muddle through. The outcome may or may not change, but at least you tried your best.”
“Muddling through is the best huh?” An image of her Aunt appeared in Amethyst’s head as she ripped the jacket she was wearing off. Once she did that, her chest opened up to reveal her own power core. “She’s right . If the outcome will not change ,” Amethyst reached and pulled out her core, and placed it onto her arm. “then I how can I dies without giving it a shot? ”
“Maud, get down!” Amethyst ordered only for Maud to just look at her with a bored expression on her face.
“I will no longer think about failure or repercussions! I’ll just pour everything I have into one last shot!” With her resolve in check and whatever power she has to offer. Amethyst fired her incineration cannon; along with the power boost from her power core, straight at the meteor falling towards Maretropolis.
“D-DAMMIT! EVEN AT MY FULLEST IT’S NOT EVEN MOVING?!”
“I don’t know if I’m seeing this correctly, but I think you’re stopping the meteor.”
“REALLY!?”
“Oh wait, never mind. It’s still moving, but it kinda moving a little bit slow.” Maud said as she noticed something shining off the corner of her eye.
“YOU IDIOT! WHAT HELL ARE YOU DOING NOW?!”
“There’s a white diamond sitting on the side of the roof we’re standing on.” Maud said as she showed Amethyst the diamond. “This would make a good friend for boulder.”
“I DON’T THINK YOU’LL GET THE CHANCE TO DO THAT SEEING HOW WE’LL BE DEAD SOON!” As Amethyst continue to fire, the roof of the build they were on started to give way. Causing Maud to lose her balance, and dropping the diamond onto the ground. As the diamond rolled behind her, a portal appeared right behind.
“I don’t think that diamond I found was a normal one.” The portal began growing, swirling as it got larger and larger. From it they could hear… voices?
“...I told you I can handle this on my own,” one voice said, clearly feminine and sounding rather peeved.
“And I told you that I’m not letting Kat nag at me for letting you handle it on your own,” replied the other, no doubt belonging to a male.
When the voices got close enough, two humans stepped through. The female was tall and powerful in her appearance, dressed in very light colors that offset her jet black hair, even if it did extend into red. The male, however, didn’t appear to be much, dressed in a simple jacket and jeans with his messy brown hair.
“Okay, we’re in a city. That’s new,” the male said, looking around.
“Just shut up and stick close. Don’t need to be saving your ass,” the female said harshly.
“Language,” he responded, seemingly out of instinct.
“Fuck off.”
“Excuse me, but I think you might want to focus on what’s going on around you.” Maud suggested as she pointed meteor that Amethyst was firing at. “Unless one of you is able to destroy a meteor, which is about the size that will destroy the Maretropolis City along with the neighboring towns and cities. Then I suggest you might want to find some cover.”
They both looked up at the meteor. “Oh, a meteor. How quaint.”
“Hoo boy, that’s biggun’,” the male said, using his hand to block some of the light from his eyes. He looked to the woman. “You wanna take this, or leave it to me?”
“I got this,” she assured him.
“Actually if you two don’t mind I’ll take care of this.” Derpy said as she landed between Amethyst and the three newcomers.
“Auntie? W-what are you doing here?” Amethyst asked as the power in her body fade, causing her to fall to the floor of the roof.
“I’m here to save everypony in this city. That also include you my little muffin..”
“Um, no offense, pony, but there’s no way in hell you can take care of this,” the woman said, shaking her head. “You should leave this to the professionals.”
“Nah, I think I’ll take care of it. You two just get Amethyst and Maud away from here.” Derpy turned her attention back at the meteor. “This will only take a second or two.” Like a bullet being shot out of a gun, Derpy took off into the direction of the falling rock.
“We might want to move out of the way.” Maud suggested.
“To avoid the blood splatter?” the man chuckled.
“Ben! Now is not the time for dark jokes! That pony is gonna get herself killed thinking she can break that meteor!”
“No. For when she breaks the meteor, it’ll break apart. It may not cause a huge explosion, but it’ll still damage the city.” Maud said as she pointed a hoof at Derpy. “Just watch.”
“You’re not gonna fall!” Derpy raised her hoof as it made contact with the meteor. At first nothing happened that is until cracks started to appear on the meteor.
“ON MY HOME!!!” In a blink of an eye shot straight through the meteor like it was nothing to her.
Both humans were absolutely stunned, their jaws hanging low. Though, only the woman’s eyes were bugging out.
“What the fuck?!”
“Meet Maretropolis City’s hero for fun, m-my aunt, Derpy Hooves.” Amethyst said as she started to shut down.
“She may have destroyed the meteor, but the city is still going to be damage.” Maud said as she looked the falling remains of the meteor hit the surrounding city. “Boulder will have a good time when I tell that their so many new rock friends for him to meet.” The rock pony then turned her attention at Derpy who landed back onto the roof.
“There we go, the meteor is destroyed.” Derpy said as a smile appeared on her face. “For a second there, I thought I was to late to stop it….um are the two humans okay?”
“That. Was. Awesome!” the man cheered after several moments of silence. “That has to be the most epic thing I’ve ever seen! Whoo!” Even with his cheering, the woman still remained in a stunned silence.
“I-It was nothing really.” Derpy said as began to blush. “Um, is your friend okay? She has the same expression that Amethyst had when I smacked that mosquito lady a while back.”
“Hmm?” he looked over at his companion. “Oh yeah, she’s fine. I think you just broke her brain for a bit. She’ll be fine after a while.”
“Speaking of broken, I think your niece needs to be repaired.” Maud said as Derpy rushed over to the broken cyborg pony.
“Amethyst! Are you okay? Say something my little muffin!” Derpy said as she looked at the two humans. “Do any of you know how to fix her?”
“Depends, what’s wrong with her?” ‘Ben’ said, crouching down near the two ponies.
“From what I saw, she used, what I could guess, was her power core to slow the meteor down. That and some of her robotic parts seem to be melted due to the intense heat she gave off.” Maud answered.
“She’s a cyborg?! Oh ho ho, that is so sweet!” He slapped his forehead. “Ack, bad Ben. Focus on the task at hand. Look, I might be able to help her, but you’re gonna have to trust me, ok?”
“I trust you, just please save my niece.”
Ben cracked his knuckles. “Alright, let’s get to fixing!” He lifted up his wrist, tapping the watch there and then sliding his fingers along it, sending a holographic disc above it spinning. He flipped the black panel back and slammed down the little tower that popped out of it. There was a bright green flash before a tiny devil like creature wearing some kind of jumpsuit was standing in his place. “Jury Rig! Fixfixifixfix!” The devil jumped on Amethyst and started pulling out part after part after part.
“Um....how did you just change from a human into a cute little imp?” Derpy asked, as she try to urge herself not to cuddle Ben to death.
The creature completely ignored Derpy, tearing into Amethysts parts. Less than a minute later, he jumped off. “Fixed!” he announced, kicking the cyborg pony in the shin.
Amethyst’s eyes open up as she pulled herself up from the ground. “W-What just happened?”
“Amethyst! You’re okay!” Derpy yelled as she tackled Amethyst back onto the ground.
“Okay...not to be rude or anything, but who the hell are you two?” Amethyst asked as she pulled herself from Derpy’s hug.
“Well, I’m Ben and the dumbstruck-ie is my sister, Raven. Say ‘hi’ Raven” No response. “Hold on one second.” He tapped his watch and spoke into it, his voice suddenly amplifying. “HOP TO IT SOLDIER!”
Raven instantly was on her feet. “Sir, yes sir!” A moment passed before she struck Ben in the face, knocking him to the ground.
“Oh gods! Right in the face, woman!”
“Never impersonate a superior again, or I’ll do more than break your pretty little face,” she seethed in anger.
“That wasn’t very nice of you to do that to him.” Derpy said. “Isn’t he your friend?”
“Worse,” Raven said, stretching her hitting wrist. “He’s my brother.”
“How can that be worse? Don’t you two get along like families should do?”
“We’re not, agh, an ordinary family,” Ben said, managing to get to a sitting position. “Ah, man that’s smarts. Dang girl, you scary.”
“You better believe it, lazy ass punk.”
“Hey! I am not a punk! I am a politician! There’s a distinct difference between the two!”
“Not to ruin your little moment, but I think we should leave before my sister and her friends see what you did Derpy.” Maud said as she begun to walk off.
“Where are you going?” Derpy asked.
“Back to my dojo, the fist of the breaking rocks. Seeing how the threat is eliminated, there’s no need for me to stay here any longer. If you need a place to train, my home is outside of the city on top of a mountain.”
“Yeah, we better get going before that self proclaimed hero Lance gets here, and start asking questions.” Amethyst said as she rubbed the back of her neck. “Sometime I just wanna punch that guy in the face for getting us into this hero business crap.”
“We might as well go too,” Raven decided.
“Wait, what?! Why would we do that?” Ben asked, before Raven grabbed the back of his jacket, dragging him along.
“Because we were summoned and we’re gonna make sure everything’s running smoothly so we don’t have to come back. Now move your ass!”
“Ack! Okay! Okay! I’m moving!”
“How about we head over to the house?” Derpy suggested. “Amethyst can cook you two something to eat, and you can spend the night until you have to leave.”
“Food!” Ben cheered.
“Shelter and provisions will do us well. Thank you, ma’am,” Raven montoned.
“Don’t mention it, it’s the least I can do seeing how your brother saved my little muffin.”
“I really wish you stop calling me that.” Amethyst said.
“Will you be nicer to Lance then?”
“.........”
“Thought so, now come along we have dinner to prepare for our guest.” Derpy said as she flew off.
“Just follow us and we’ll lead you to where we live.” Amethyst said as she followed after her Aunt.
“What do you think?” Raven asked her brother.
Ben shrugged. “Might as well, I guess. This place ain’t as bad as some of the other worlds. So, geronimo.”
“I thought you’d say that,” Raven said with a smile, the two of them following after the ponies.
[Apartment]
“Welcome to the Hooves home!” Derpy said as she lead Raven and Ben into their home. “Make yourselves at home. We have TV, internet, games, etc, etc.”
“You have internet?!” both humans asked at once, that for some reason being what they were drawn to.
“Well yeah we do live in an advanced city after all.” Amethyst said as she hopped onto the couch, and turn the TV on. “I have to say, this place is better than back home before we got displaced.”
“Wait a second,” Raven said, stopping in her tracks. “You two… are Displaced?!”
“Three if you count my cousin Dinky, why?”
“Well, from our experience, ponies aren’t ones who usually get Displaced,” Ben answered.
Raven nodded in agreement. “It’s usually humans or other creatures who get brought to these alternative Equestrias. A pony being Displaced, well that’s… unheard of.”
“Guess we must the rare ponies that end up in an alternate universe huh?” The cyborg pony asked as she turned the channel on the TV. “Then again I’m not complaining about it. At least we’re away from those ponies in Ponyville in our world.”
“I-It wasn’t that bad Amethyst.”
“They egged our house, threw stuff at you and Dinky, and not only that but we got evicted from our house and had to live in house made of cardboard boxes.”
“Oooh,” Ben winced. “Ouch, yeah girl, I can feel you on that pain. Did that more than once for a lot of my life.”
“Well at least Dinky seems to enjoyed it for a while. Speaking of her where is she anyway?”
“She should be in her room with Tatsumaki. You know that pony that help us find Dinky?”
“Oh you mean the psychic earth pony.”
“Psychic earth pony?” Raven asked with a quirked eyebrow.
“That would be me.” Tatsumaki said as she entered the room while levitating Dinky in the air. “S-Class rank 2, Tornado of Terror Tatsumaki.”
“Tornado of Terror?” questioned Ben this time. “Not exactly the name you wanna go broadcasting there.”
“I take great pride with that title human, so don’t dis my title.”
“You really shouldn’t,” Ben and Raven said together, shaking their heads.
“Whatever, anyway seeing how you’re back I’m gonna head back to HQ. Apparently they have a mission for me involving some mutant dino from the past waking up and causing trouble.”
“Need my help?” Derpy asked.
“Naw, I’ll just kill it with a meteor from space. Seeya.” With that the psychic pony left the apartment through the window, and off into the distance.
“This place is more screwed up than mine…. and I deal with aliens and gods!” Ben said, his head tilted in confusion.
“Welcome to Maretropolis City. The place where weird shit always happens here.” Amethyst said, as she looked over at Ben and Raven. “So what’s the deal with you two? I know you’re humans, but what are your powers?”
“I’m a gravity shifter,” Raven explained. “I can control and manipulate gravity to my whim. Ben here’s a shapeshifter and reality warper.”
“Well, warper in training. I still haven’t gotten the hang of changing time and space.”
“A gravity user and shapeshifting reality warper.” Amethyst eyes glowed as she scanned both humans, then Derpy. “Hm, not even close to Derpy’s level.”
“Hey!” they both whined.
“Well it’s true. The scans don’t lie when it come to reading strength levels. I might be able to beat Ben if I’m lucky, but Derpy...well….you two are like small rocks getting thrown against a giant wall. Nothing is going to happen.”
“Oh yeah?” Raven challegened. “Well here’s some advice for you: power levels are bull shit!”
“Care to put that to the test then gravity shifter?”
“Yeah!” said Dinky in agreement. “No pony can beat my mom, not even you two.”
“It’s not about pure strength or power. Anyone can be defeated with the right tactics.”
“Aka, bullshitting your way out of everything.”
“Shut up, Ben. Not everyone makes everything up on the spot like you do. Winging it never works.”
“I’m still alive, aren’t I?”
“Keep up the smug attitude and that won’t be true in a few seconds.”
“What’s the matter? Scared that you’ll lose to a pony like Derpy?” Amethyst asked. “Because after seeing her destroy that meteor, I can understand you being afraid.”
“Same goes to you robot. I’ll smash you before you can say ‘oops’. Bet they’ll pay mighty nicely at the junkyard for a pile of scrap!”
Ben just stared at Raven with a face of… well, it could only really be understood as WTF. “...Dude… the fuck, girl? That was completely uncalled for.”
“I would be careful about what you say to my niece Raven.” Derpy said as she glared at the gravity shifter. “Specially when her Aunt is in the same room she’s in.”
“Then you should teach her not to gloat in front of a war veteran, especially not one that put her life on the line to make sure punks like her can say and do what they want.”
“Be that as it may, just because she may act like it doesn’t mean she is on. Especially when you saw her try to stop the meteor from destroying the city. Now I would like for you to apologize to my niece for that comment.”
“I don’t apologize for anything!”
“It’s true,” Ben deadpans. “The words ‘I’m sorry’ have never left those lips.”
“Then how about this then. I challenge you Raven to a one-on-one fight. If I win then you must apologize to my niece for that little comment you said about her. If you win then I won’t have you apologize for that comment, but Amethyst will apologize to you. Sound fair?”
Raven cupped her chin in thought for a few minutes, occasionally tapping her finger against her lips. Eventually, she smiled and held out her hand. “Alright, it’s a deal Derp. But you’re gonna wish you hadn’t made it.”
With a sigh Ben turned to Amethyst, “You got any popcorn? If I’m gonna watch a show I might as well get comfortable.”
“Smartass.”
“Better than a dumbass.”
“I’ll bring some tomorrow when we get to the fighting ground outside of the city. Because tomorrow the ponies will begin construction and I doubt any of us want to get nagged at, or force to fix something he or she broke.”
(Next day)
“You know it’s not too late to apologize to my niece Amethyst, Ms. Raven.” Derpy said as she stretched herself. “Or if you like you both can apologize to each other?”
“It’s Mrs. Masters to you, horsemeat,” Raven said, cracking her knuckles.
“But didn’t you say your name is Raven?”
“It’s my first name. But when you challenge me, you don’t get the privilege of calling me that.”
“Oh brother,” Ben groaned, sitting off to the side, popcorn in hand.
“Wait so your name is Masters now? Wait you change your name whenever you want?”
“Oh dear Celestia, not this again.” Amethyst said as she laid on Ben’s lap.
“Humans have two names. A first and a last name. The last name being the name of their family,” Raven explained cooly.
“Whoa! They have two names?!”
“Mom focus!” DInky yelled. “This is just like the time you got distracted by that ladybug while you working.”
“A ladybug, where is it?” Derpy asked as she looked around herself.
“......Well….this is one way to start out a fight.” Amethyst said while face hoofing herself in a combination of embarrassment and annoyance.
Raven smirked. “This might be easier than I though. She may have a lot of power, but that doesn’t mean anything if you can’t use it.”
“So...how do we do this?” Derpy asked as scratched her left ear. “Do we take turns like in a videogame or what?”
“You know what? Sure. I’ll give you the first shot.”
“She’s dead,” Ben commented, stuffing his face.
“Okay!” Derpy stood on her hind legs as she started to rush towards Raven. In a split second Derpy vanished from Raven’s vision only to appear in front of her, and deliver a power punch to the stomach. Sending the gravity master into a piece of earth sticking out from the ground. It took a few moments, but eventually Raven pulled herself up from the ground. She spat out a bit of blood, glaring daggers at Derpy.
“You’re gonna pay for that, bitch.”
“That would have sucked a lot of more if gravity shifters weren’t practically invulnerable to blunt force,” Ben commented.
“Oh I’m so gonna record this.” Amethyst said as her eyes started to record the fight.
“.....Okay.” Derpy said with a blank expression on her face. In less than blink of an eye, Raven blasted off the rock she had been hit into, completely obliterating it as she flew right at Derpy. With thirty g’s of pressure behind it, she threw her fist directly into Derpy’s face. As the punch made contact with the mare’s face, Derpy was still standing in the same place she was standing when she sent Raven flying. “Um… is this normal for your attack to now hurt me or something?”
“The hell?! I put 30Gs into that punch! How are you still sitting there?!”
“I don’t know, maybe it’s because I eat muffins everyday? That or I train myself everyday.” Derpy answered as she raised her hoof and punched Raven in the face, only to stop just a mere centimeter away from it.
“Sorry, but I’m not letting you do that again.” She suddenly disappears, reappearing a good distance away. “You’re certainly no average pony, not with strength and resistance like that. Guess I’m gonna have to amp up my tricks a little.” Raven curled her hands into fists, sending out a shockwave as her body was instantly covered in blue and white energy. “Let’s see if you’re actually worth wasting my full power on, horsemeat.”
And once again, Derpy had the same blank expression on her face from before. “...Okay...you kinda look like those glow in the dark tube sticks from the toy store.”
“You, shut up. I’m the one throwing the insults.” She placed her open palm in front of her and fired a ball of energy at Derpy, exploding on contact. “You’re not allowed to.”
“Huh, I wasn’t expecting that to happen.” Derpy said as she brushed herself off from the attack. “Guess I’ll have to give it my best shot.” With the flames of determination in her eyes, Derpy bolted in front of Raven as the simply dodge the balls of energy being sent at her. In a mere second, Derpy appears in front of the gravity shifter as delivered multiple punches to Ravens body. “Concentration, Normal Punch.” She said as it sent Raven flying a few inches next to Ben and the others.
“Having fun?” Ben snarked, looking down on his sister. His reward being a punch to the face that knocked him back and over in his chair. “OW! Not cool, girl!”
“IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO SURRENDER RAVEN!” yelled Derpy. “YOU SURE YOU WANT TO CONTINUE? BECAUSE RIGHT NOW I’M A LITTLE BIT BORED!”
“You say that again, Derp, and I’ll start attacking your niece instead of you!” Raven growled, getting to her feet.
“........” Derpy said nothing as she vanished from Raven sight. Only to appear behind her, in an act of reflex Raven tired to hit the mare behind her, only to hit the after image of Derpy. As she turned around to get ready to hit the pony with a force of gravity, the gravity shifter stopped due to what she saw that shock her to the core.
Derpy immediately stopped her oncoming punch as she glared at Raven. “Don’t really care that you’re fighting me, but if you even think about coming after my niece like a coward. I will kill you, even if you are a guest in my home. Do I make myself clear?”
“Then don’t you dare treat me like a joke. I have faced far worse than a retarded pony and her glitchy niece. So don’t you dare think I’m going to give or admit defeat! Because either way, you will never get an apology out of me!” Her aura flares up as she speeds up and slams her foot into the ground in front of Derpy. “Wait for it.” The ground around Derpy suddenly began to crack before Derpy and the slab of ground shot into the air on a pillar of lava.
“So you’re one of those ponies. One who let their pride get the better of them.” Derpy said as she floated in the air staring down at the gravity shifter. “A troubled youth who lashes out at almost anypony that treats her like she’s nothing. That kind of attitude with get you or somepony close to you hurt.”
“Youth?! I’m older than you are!”
“Yet you’re acting like a little foal with a temper tantrum. After seeing you act towards my niece I would expect you to have some kind of manner or act like an adult. But seeing how you’re quick to making threats to somepony as young as Amethyst is, and how you’re treating your brother. You’re simply just a little filly in my eyes until you act like an adult.”
“Too be fair,” Ben called out, still on the ground. “She barely knows me! We only just met a year ago!”
“I think you might want to be quiet, because right now your sister is glaring at the both of us.” Amethyst said as she hid behind Ben.
“My point still remains.” Derpy said bluntly.
“As if I should give a damn how you see me! I am quick to make threats not because of some “acting out” bullshit that you’re thinking of. I am quick to make threats because that’s how you survive in a war torn world where the motherfucking changelings have killed everyone ! The only race left on the entire planet now is ponies and the few changelings that survived the war! Griffons, dragons, minotaurs, yaks, cows, they’re all dead!”
“....Okay….and?”
“I was the one in charge of the military all those years. I had to make the tough calls. I had to send those good men and women to their deaths in vain hopes that we could win. Yet still, we lost. Time and time and time again for over a thousand years, for every battle we won we lost another ten! It started with hundreds, then thousands, and in the end we lost millions of lives to one fucking race of creatures! You call me childish because you couldn’t possibly understand having to live with that knowledge. The guilt, the regret, the fear, the pain. You’re a simple little mother with simple powers. Someone like you could never understand war, nor could you ever possibly understand someone who went through that hellish kind of war!”
“You’re right, I wouldn’t know what it’s like to be in a war like you have been in. But that doesn’t give you the right treat other like they’re nothing but filth on your hooves, or think your a royal pony that better than anyone else. Look I’m sorry for what happen to you on whatever world you come from, but you lashing out your anger at other will make others think that you’re just as bad as those you fought against in the war you are in.” The mare said as her face soften up a bit. “The war is over right? If you keep holding on to the past, you’ll slowly rot from the inside until you become a bitter, sad, lonely, and depressed pony that no one want to be around.”
“The past is where I lost everything. I have nothing to gain in the present or the future. Only a life to use to make sure those atrocities never happen again.”
“Yeesh,” Ben muttered. “And I thought my life was depressing. Guess losing a husband will do that to ya.”
“There always a future for those from the past.” Derpy said as she extended a hoof towards Raven. “They just need somepony to help them pick their self up. I’ll help if you’re willing to let be your friend?”
“And why the hell would I want that?”
“Because something tells me that you haven’t had a friends in a long time right? So why not start your first steps with being my friend?” The mare said with a smile on her face. “So what do you say? Let’s be friends!”
Raven just stared at the pony. “You’re an idiot.”
“Aren’t we all idiots to some degree?”
“No! Where the hell did you come up with that?! Now are you gonna fight or keep pretending to be an element of harmony?”
“But don’t you want be friends?”
“I have no need of it from you.”
“Well that’s not nice to say.”
“I’m not nice.”
“Well you should start being nice. What would your family think of you if they knew you were being mean to other ponies?”
“They’re dead. Their opinions don’t matter.”
“Still, what would they think of you if you were acting like this if they were alive? Would they be proud of your attitude towards other, or would they be ashamed by it?”
“I. Don’t. Care. It’s as simple as that.”
“Yep, I was right. You are a troubled youth. And it looks like I’ll have to knock some sense into you.” Derpy said as she landed on the ground. “But even if I can’t knock some sense into you, I still have faith that somewhere out there in the universe that you’ll make a friend or two.”
“I’m stuck with Ben and Kat, I don’t need anyone else!”
“Was that a compliment or an insult?”
“Shut up, Ben!”

“Still, I have faith in you my friend.” Derpy said as she pulled out a muffin. “Want a muffin?”
“No. I’m not a fan of muffins. I prefer bagels with coffee.”
“What?! But muffins are like little cakes with love and sweetness in them.”
“Ew,” Raven said simply.
“Muffins are better than yucky bagels.” Derpy said as she puffs her cheeks. “Though coffee is good....now I have a craving for muffins and coffee for some reason.”
“You’re certainly not all there in the head.”
“Hey I’m there in the head.” as she said that a butterfly floated around her. “OH! A butterfly, you don’t see these around these parks.”
Raven sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “No, you’re not. You’re a fool given incredibly strength and power unwisely. Fighting you will get me nowhere. I’m just gonna go.”
“Well can you at least apologize to my niece? You may be stubborn as a mule, but you have a kind heart.”
“No,” she replied with the same simplicity before turning to her brother. “Pack it up, Ben. We’re out of here.”
“Yes ma’am,” Ben sighed with a fake salute.
“Then I’ll have to fight you until you do say you’re sorry.” Derpy said with a serious expression on her face. “Even if I have to stop going easy on you.”
“Not interested anymore.” Raven hesitated a moment. “I don’t have the power to beat you, so I will not fight you. Are you that kind of pony, Derpy? Will you attack someone who won’t fight back?”
“SAID THE WOMAN WHO MADE THE THREAT OF ATTACKING A WEAKER PONY JUST BECAUSE MY AUNT SAID SHE WAS BORED!” Amethyst yelled.
“Precisely,” Raven said, turning to Amethyst. “A threat. Nothing more. A soldier doesn’t hide behind a civilian. They protect them and lay their lives down for them. It was a threat to see what power Derpy would show. And… it’s too much. I don’t know how such a being could exist with that kind of power, but it’s not one I have any chance of beating without putting the entire world at risk.”
“So my mom wins, and as such to the agreement you made yesterday you have to apologize for what you said to my cousin.” Dinky said as she trotted over to Raven. “If I’m not mistaken aren’t soldier honor bound to this kind of agreement, like the royal guards are when they do something like this?”
“This is an act of no-contest. Nobody wins, nobody loses.”
Ben leaned over, “She’s so trying to get out of the deal.”
“I’m going to smack you into a star.”
“Meep!”
“What’s so hard about saying you’re sorry? It’s not like we’re asking for your arms or legs?” Dinky asked as she gave Raven an innocent look. “If your sister was in the same position you’re in, wouldn’t she apologize with no problem?”
“It’s a matter of pride, kid. You’ll figure it out as you get older.”
“You’re not trying to bail on the agreement are you? Princess Luna told me that those who don’t honor something are nothing more than a coward with no pride.”
“Where the hell does she know this stuff?” Amethyst asked, only for Derpy to shug.
“The agreement was if one side or the other won. With no contest, the agreement is null and void.”
“Seriously, is your sister that much of sore loser when it come to stuff like this?” Amethyst asked.
Ben shrugged. “What part of knowing her for only a year didn’t you get?”
“I’m just asking that’s all.” She said before turning her attention at Raven. “Fine, leave for all I care you bitch. After seeing my aunt kick your flank around like a rag doll, I think this pretty much made my day.”
“Go rust in nuclear waste,” Raven said offhandedly.
“That’s a thing?” Ben asked.
“Eat shit from an alien toilet you jerk of a human.” Amethyst said as she glared at Raven.
“M-Maybe we should leave before Amethyst does something reckless?” Derpy suggested. “It was nice meeting you two.”
Raven looked back at them for a moment as the portal appeared. She returned her gaze to the portal, stopping in fronting of it. “Keep your family safe, Derpy. They can be taken away so easily, so don’t ever let yourself end up like me.” She walked right through without another word or a chance for reply.
Ben clicked his tongue, walking up to the portal. “In translation, ‘Sorry and take care’. And if you don’t believe me that’s what she meant, then I don’t know how to help ya.”
“Thanks, I believe what you said was what she meant to say.”
He gave a two finger salute. “See ya around, guys. You’re much more fun than any human Displaced.”
“Are other displaced humans boring?” Amethyst asked. “Because the last displaced we meet wasn’t boring...though I am going to kill for trying to hit on my Aunt.”
“I’m a speciest,” he replied with a grin. “Catch ya later!” Raven’s arm appeared from the portal and dragged him through.
“What’s a speciest?” Derpy asked as she stick her head in the portal. “Is it some kind of hero title or something?” The little pony was pushed back out, landing on her back.
Ben’s head popped out. “It means I don’t like humans. Bye!” He slipped back through, the portal collapsing into itself.
“Why would he hate his own kind?”
“I don’t know. Could that something happen to him in his past, but meh.” Amethyst said as she begun to walk back to town. “Then again I kinda knew something was off with him when we walked pass a human wearing a tiger pattern tank top.”
“Hm….I’ll ask him about that later, right now we should head back home and see if we missed a call from the Power Ponies.”
“We could do that...or we could go shopping with the bits I took from that Raven girl in her sleep last night.” Amethyst said as she pulled out a medium bag of bits.
“AMETHYST!!!”
“What? I didn’t fight her or anything, so I did the next best thing.”
“But stealing is wrong. Didn’t I tell you not to steal from other ponies?”
“You said ponies, not humans.”
“.....Huh, guess you’re right about that. Still no stealing from others, that also means humans.”
“Fine, I promise I won’t steal from other displaced humans.”
“Good, now let’s head home before Raven comes back and asks for you. Not that I have no problem protecting you, but she pretty much scares me to some degree.”
“Guess it didn’t help that I left a letter calling her a bitch huh?”

“I'm heading out to the store. Need me to pick up anything while I’m out?” Derpy asked as she was getting herself ready to head outside
“We need more milk and pancake mix. We ran out of it yesterday.” Amethyst said popping her head out the kitchen. “We also need some more tofu and eggs for breakfast.
“Okay! I’ll be back in a few minutes or so-.” Derpy was unable finish her sentence as she saw Amethyst eyes glow. “You okay Amethyst?”
“Object approaching at high speed.” She said looking at the wall to her right. “It’s here!”
“What-?” Just as she said that a strange mantis humanoid like monster busted through the wall where Amethyst was looking.
“Hahaha my name is...huh?” Before the mantis could finish, Derpy appeared right in front of it and punched in the face. Send it’s head flying off.
“Use the door like a normal pony would. Not the wall you meanie.”
(Outside)
“So…”
“Hm?”
“It seems our advance agent, Kamakyuri, is down.” said Slugerous. “I can’t sense him with my telepathy anymore.”
“What? Wasn’t he one of our stronger guys?” said Frogman.
(Inside)
“Auntie, there are two more outside.” Amethyst said as she open the window. “Leave them to me.” She said as she hopped out the window to face the other two monsters. Only to see Derpy outside already taken them down.
“Don’t bust pony’s walls.”
“Oh, never mind. I guess you took care of the problem.”
“Can’t ponies just come through the door?” Derpy was about to turn to face Amethyst, only for something to grab her by the hooves and pulled her into the ground with her head sticking out like a carrot.
“Auntie!”
“Don’t worry Amethyst I’m fine. It’s actually comfortable really. I feel like a carrot in Carrot Top’s garden.”
[“Elevated energy levels detected.”] Amethyst turned around to see where the voice was coming from. Standing behind her was a Cyborg just like her, only this one was tall and was in the shape of a Gorilla.
“A cyborg?”
[“You are not the target.”]
“What’s going on? I can’t see.” Derpy said trying to look behind herself.
[“You are in the way!”] the cyborg said as it tried to punch at Amethyst, only for her to jump out of the way and kick him in the face. Amethyst landed a few inches away from the hulking cyborg as she began to run towards it. The cyborg saw this and brought his fist down at Amethyst, only for her to block it again causing a small shockwave.
“I don’t know who you idiots are, but you all are gonna regret attacking us.”
While Amethyst was dealing with the cyborg gorilla, Derpy’s attention was focus on another figure shadowing over her. To what she could tell it looked like a mix between a human and a loin.
“Hahahahahaha! It would appear you’re in what they call a “tight spot” wouldn’t you say?” the lion said looking down upon Derpy. “Well done, Ground Dragon.” He said as a mole with the neighponese sign on it’s chest appeared from underground.
“It complicates things if they put up a fight.”
“Aw what cute little mole.” Derpy said.
“Auntie, please take this serious for once in your life.”
“But he looks so cute, I could catch him and give him to Dinky.”
“Ugh, fine whatever. Do what you like with it.”
[“You dare look away?”] The cyborg gorilla said as he charge at Amethyst. [“Quite courageous!”] He said delivering a right hook. Amethyst nearly dodges it by a hair as she charged up her incinerators and fired at the cyborg at point blank range.Causing a small explosion to engulf the gorilla.
“Got yeah.” Amethyst said only for her eyes to widen when she saw the gorilla jump out of the fire and was about the hit her. Only for the pony cyborg to jump out of the way of his attack.
[“I am the pinnacle of the House of Evolution’s science. I am Armored Gorilla.”] He said as he pulled himself out of the crater he made. [“Your attacks have no effect.”]
“The House of Evolution? What the hell is that, and what does it want with my aunt?”
]“It is none of your business.And it is our rule that any who oppose us be eliminated without fail.”] He said as he towered over Amethyst. “I must destroy you.”
“I hope Derpy can handle herself until I finish dealing with this guy?”
Meanwhile as Amethyst was dealing with Armored Gorilla. Derpy had a bored blank expression on her face as she looked up at the lion humanoid, who seemed to be getting annoyed at the way Derpy was ignoring him.
“Hey, stupid pony! What’s with that look on your face?” he asked only for the cross eyed pegasus to yawn.
“Being underground like this is kinda relaxing. Especially when trying to keep yourself cool. But at the same time, it’s nice and warm. Have you ever tried it before mister lion?” The humanoid lion’s eye began to twitch as veins began to appear. “Not to sound rude but I’m getting a bit sleepy, could you come back at another time?”
“I see I need to teach you your place.” He said as he pointed two fingers at Derpy face. “Listen up! I’m gonna slice your eyes out with these! Then we’ll see if you resist! The Beast King never lets anyone off easy.”
Derpy paid him no mind as she pulled herself out of the ground like it was nothing. “Well, I guess that’s enough fooling around then huh? If you wanna apologize, now’s your chance.” The mare said as both the Beast King and Ground Dragon began to sweat in fear/nervousness. “You guys smashed into my home through a wall.”
“Humph. Fine.” The Beast King said as he pulled himself up. “Then behold the true power of the Beast-.”
“Aw man, I got dirt in on my belt.” Derpy said as she shook the belt she was wearing to get the dirt off.
“Hey, are you listening?”
“Hold on, let me just get this cleaned off for a second.”
“.......You done?”
“One sec…..Okay I’m done.”
“Okay, then behold the true power of the Beast King!” He said as his claws grew and began to lashed out at Derpy. Only for the mare to dodge it and hit a nearby house which was empty. The Beast King began to send barrages of slashes at the mare, but was easily able to dodge them like a ballerina. At this time however, Slugerous was just waking up from his face plant.
“You okay, Frog Man-.” Slugerous was unable to finish his question as he and Frogman were cut into pieces.
“Outta the way,pissants!” Beast said as he continued his attack on Derpy. “Such is the law of the jungle! And you’re next pony!” he said as he buffed up his muscles causing the clothing on his chest to rip apart.
“Wait! Don’t kill her yet!” said Ground Dragon.
“Lion Slash: Meteor Power Shower!!” The Beast King said as both his speed and power increased as he began to lash out at the mare at speed the naked eye can’t keep up. Derpy on the other hoof was able to see the Beast King’s attacks as she simply dodge them without any problems. This went on for about ten to twenty second before Derpy rushed up towards the Beast King with a hoof raised.
“Consecutive, Normal Punches.” Derpy said as she delivered four hoof punches to the Beast King’s chest. Causing his upper body to explode into a million pieces as blood and guts scatter around the area she was in. After defeating the Beast King, Derpy turned her attention at the mole who quickly began to dig for his life. “Guess we’re playing hide and seek then huh?”
“N-No one told me he’d be like that! It’s best we retreat now and regroup-.” Just as he was about to move another chunk of dirt out of his way, Derpy’s face appeared right in front of the path he was digging.
“Found you, looks like I win our little game of hide and seek.”
“No waayy!” With a light punch, the mole was shot out of the ground and onto the sidewalk. “D-Dammit.” was all he could say before passing out.
“Well looks like I found a new family pet for Dinky to play with.” Derpy said as she walked out from underground. “I wonder how Amethyst is doing?”
“Now, answer my question or be eliminated.” Amethyst said as she pointed a hoof at Armored Gorilla who was stuck in a wall and badly damage. “Your choice gorilla.”
[“It is you who will be eliminated. You fool. I am the third most powerful fighter in the House of Evolution. At your power level, you’ll never beat the Beast King, the second most powerful.You will be destroyed.”]
Just as he said that, Derpy appeared right next to Amethyst hold an eyeball of what remained of the Beast King. “Is this who you mean?” the pegasus asked.
“Apparently so.” There was a moment of silence before the Armored Gorilla began to speak, only this time he spoke normally and not in a robotic tone.
“Look, I’m really sorry. I’ll tell you everything, just don’t kill me!”
“What the? What happened to your robotic like voice?” Derpy asked.
“Sorry, I was just trying to sound cool that’s all.”
“Okay...so mind telling me why you guys are after me? And please keep it short to the point, I prefer not to hear your boss’s life story that might take up the entire day.”
“Okay, to make a long story short.My boss has become very curious about your body.” Gorilla said causing Derpy’s face to burn bright red.
“I’m not interested in somepony like that. Tell him I’m not that kind of mare!”
“I think you misunderstood him, Auntie.” Amethyst said. “He plans to use your body, whichsurpasses normal human limitations, for his research for something involving evolution or something along those lines.If we don’t do something, I’m sure he’l send more of his creations after us.”
“Guess we gotta do something about it huh?” Derpy asked.
“We can’t allow him to attack again. We need to attack him now while we have the upper hoof on him.”
“.......Okay.” Derpy said as she began to walk off.
“Wait you mean now?”
“Of course silly, there’s a muffin sale in New Yoke tomorrow, and I want to get there before the sale is over.”
“H-Hey wait up!”
“This doesn’t sound good. Better tell the Doctor.” Armored Gorilla’s head open up as a small dish appeared and transmitted a message to the House of Evolution. He quickly closed his head as he saw Amethyst return to him.
“Hey, Gorilla dude.”
“Oh. Yes?”
“Where is the House of Evolution located?”
“Outside of the city. You can’t miss it, it’s the rundown build next to a mountain and a couple of trees.”
“Thank you.” She said as She and Derpy ran off.
(House of Evolution)
“Impossible!” said Dr. Genus. “Our elite force, formed for the extermination of those obsolete humans, wiped out?!”
“According to Armored Gorilla’s report, the two responsible are on their way here.” said a clone causing Dr Genus eyes to widen in fear. “If they come,all our research, everything we’ve been working on, could be destroyed.”
“This is a serious matter.”
“The only option is to use our trump card.” Dr. Genus said causing the clones to gasp. “Begin preparations for the release of Carnage Kabuto again.”
“What?!”
“No, Not him!”
“That’s crazy!”
“It was bad enough we released him on the last intruders, how do we know this will work?”
“He’s right. That might be the only way.”
“But maybe we should stop him.”
“It’s too dangerous.”
“I have a bad feeling about this.”
“Is this the only way?”
“Be calm!” Dr Genus said. “He will be our last resort.”
“But…”
“First, from the first or the eighth floor, we’ll activate all our traps. If we’re lucky, they will take care of the intruders.I’m fully aware of what will happen to me should we fail.

“I didn’t think we’d be running the whole way to this house of evolution.” said Amethyst as she and Derpy ran through the thick forest.
“Well I wanted to fly there but you told me not to.” said Derpy, running along side her niece.
“Auntie, you and I both know that you can’t fly that well. Especially when it come to being around builds or trees this close.”
“Still I could do it if you just let me.”
“Only when you’re good at flying is when I’ll allow you to do that.”
“This is just like the time you wouldn’t let me work the oven.” Derpy said as the duo started to jump from rock to rock as they launched themselves over the hill.
“Which is why you’re not allowed to touch until you’re good at cooking.” The Cyborg pony said as they landed in front of a tall building in the middle of the forest.
“We’re here. This is the place Gorilla told us of.”
“So this is the house of evolution?” Derpy asked as she counted the floors of the building. “One, two, three, four, five, six...Looks like it’s about eight stories high-.” Before Derpy could finish, Amethyst charged up her incinerators to full power and blasted the building until there was nothing left standing. “Um...What was that all of a sudden Amethyst?”
“It would be most efficient to destroy the building in one swoop then to have to enter into a building full of traps.”
“T-True, but isn’t this going a bit overkill?”
“Better safe than sorry.” Amethyst said as she notice a metal door on the floor. “Looks like we found a way inside.”
“S-Stop!!!!” yelled the clone of Dr. Genus as he fired a hail of bullets at the figure in the shadows. The bullets had no effect on the figure as it simple punched the clone without mercy, turning him into a lump of flesh.
“Heh, weak.”
“Hey, Carnage Kabuto.” said Dr. Genus as he entered the room. “Are you doing well? It appears you’ve killed a bunch of my clones again. Satisfied?”
“Huh? Fool! Why would I be satisfied?” Kabuto asked as he turned around to face the scientist. “I’ve been kept locked up deep beneath the earth.” He answered as he broke the metal collar around his neck. “Me! The strongest warrior in the entire house of evolution.”
“You are mentally unstable. We couldn’t control you. There was no other choice.”
“Control!? You moron! I am the culmination of the new species you guys have sought for so long. My intelligence and physical strength and your own are incomparable!” Kabuto said as he got up close the the scientist’s face. “You should be the ones obeying me.”
“No. You’re a failure. It’s true you perform at unheard of levels, but it is humanity that you lack.” Dr.Genus thought as he cleared his throat. “Go ahead, kill me. Plenty of clones could take my place.”
“Oh?”
“But I have a favor to ask first. There’s a specimen I must have.” He said as he pulled up a digital screen with Derpy and Amethyst’s face on it. “She’s extremely strong. Only you can defeat this pony. I want you to catch this creature for me…..dead or alive.”
“This basement is huge! I bet if you yell loud enough, you could hear your voice echo.” Derpy said as she was about to yell, only for Amethyst to cover her mouth.
“Please don’t do that Auntie. We don’t want to get notice by the enemy.”
“I’m pretty sure they know we’re here when you blew the building above us into ashes.”
“........Whatever let’s just get this over with.” Amethyst said as she continued to walk, only to stop.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m sensing something down here. Two of them are approaching us.” She said as the duo looked down the hallway to see the lights going off.
“Oh, here we go!” yelled Kabuto as he dragged Dr. Genus along with him down the hallway. “There are two. Which one is it?”
“The one on the right.”
“In that case, you don’t need the one on the left!” As the humanoid beetle came close to the two mares, Kabuto raised his fist and slammed Amethyst into the wall beside her.
“Amethyst!”
“I am Carnage Kabuto! We got a combat experimentation room. Let’s do this in there.”
“You’re gonna pay for turning my niece into a piece of modern art.” Derpy said as she cracked her neck. “Fight’s on!”
(Combat experimentation room)
“Pretty big, huh?” Kabuto asked as he and Derpy walked into the room. “It’s the biggest room in the facility. This is where they make us fight to test our combat abilities. Well then, let’s start the killing-.” Before the humanoid beetle could finish, a burst of fire engulf him for a moment before disappearing. “Oh? Still alive, huh?” He asked as he looked over to his right to see Amethyst staggering inside the room.
“You are so dead when I’m finish with you you little bastard!” Amethyst said as she rushed into the room and punched Carnage Kabuto in the face, only for it to do nothing as she circled around him and fired beams of fire at him. Hoping that it could damage him, the cyborg pony leap up into the hair and descented towards him.
“You fool!” Kabuto said as she flames around him died out.
“Machinegun Blow: Mach 2!” yelled Amethyst as she unleashed a barrage of hoof punches at blinding speed. This went on for a few second before Kabuto punched Amethyst in the face, and sending her flying towards Derpy, who caught her upon impact. “B-Bastard got me with a sucker punch. L-Let me t-take him.”
“Amethyst, your face is all cracked up. Don’t push yourself like this.” Derpy said only for Amethyst to ignore her and fired a beam of fire at Carnage Kabuto. As the beam of fire was heading towards him, Kabuto took in a deep breath and exhale a gust of air sending the fire back at the duo engulfing them both. As the flames died out, Derpy’s eyes widen at the way Amethyst looked like now.
“Amethyst, are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”
“Y-Your mane! It looks like you just stuck a fork in the electric socket!” She said as she heard Kabuto laughing while sticking his tongue at them.”You’re gonna pay for doing this to my niece. Do you have any idea how long it takes to get a mare’s mane to look this good before hoof?”
“What’s the hold up? Let’s go!” Kabuto said as he motion Derpy to come closer. “Bring everything you’ve got.”
“Wait here my little muffin.” Derpy said as she placed Amethyst down. “This won’t take long.”
“Oh, I see it. I see it! You’re supposed to be strong.”
“I’ll give this one chance to apologize for what you did to my niece. If you do that, then I ‘ll let you off with a warning.”
“Me apologize? Don’t make me laugh!” In a blind of an eye, Kabuto vanish from sight as he appeared running up against the side of the wall and appear behind Derpy. “Die!”
“Derpy lookout!” Amethyst said only to notice Kabuto facial expression change from bloodlust to fear and horror. Like a bug flying back at normal speed, Kabuto flew back as he pressed himself against the wall behind him in fear.
“What are you doing back there?” Derpy asked as she smelled herself. “Do I smell bad or something?”
“He just backed off?” said Dr. Genus as he limped his way into the combat room. “Carnage Kabuto?!”
“If I’d attacked her just now, she’d have killed me.” Kabuto thought as he felt his heart pounding like a drum. “Who the hell is this pony? She’s leaving herself wide open, yet all my instincts are screaming, sending out danger signals!”
“Um….are you okay?”
“You bastard!!! How! How the hell did you get that strong?!”
“....So….you really wanna know, huh?” Derpy said as it caught him off guard. “Okay, fine. Listen well and listen good. Because I’m only going to say this once, and I don’t like to repeat myself a second time.” She said in a serious tone of voice.
“Dear Celestia is she really doing what I think she’s about to do?” Amethyst thought as she notice Derpy giving her a wink. “Hehe, you sly little bastard. And here I thought you’re not the trolling type of pony.”
“I’d like to know too.” said Dr.Genus as he appeared a few inches next to Derpy.
“Huh? Who are you?”
“I am Genus.”
“Okay...well fine. Listen up. First, what’s important is, to make sure you stick to this intense training regimen.”
“Training? Not modification surgery or genetic enhancement, but training?”
“What training?”
“Listen everyone. You just have to keep doing it. No matter how hard it gets. It took me three years to get this strong.” Derpy said as a serious look appeared on her face.
“One hundred push-ups! One hundred sit-ups! One hundred squats! “Then a ten kilometer run. Every single day!” She yelled which caused everyone besides Amethyst (Who was laughing internally) to be shock. “And of course, make sure you eat three meals a day. Just a muffin in the morning is fine. But the most important thing is to never use the A/C or heat in the summer or winter so that you can strengthen the mind. In the beginning, you’ll wish that you want to quit this training. You might start thinking what’s the harm of taking a day off?”
“But for me, in order to be a strong hero, no matter how tough it was, even if I was spitting blood, I never stopped. I kept doing squats even when my legs were so heavy they refuse to move. Even when my hooves started making weird clicking noises, I kept doing push-ups. A year and a half later, I started to notice a difference. I didn’t need my wings to help me fly into the air. And I had become stronger! In other words, you gotta train like hell to the point where you’re a the breaking point of death. That’s the only way to become strong.Ponies that are fooling around with evolution or drug junkies will never make it this far.Any being can become strong because they have the ability to change ourselves.”
“W-What?”
“Is this pony...for real?”
“And that’s how I became the strongest mare in Maretropolis. Just with hard work and training is all you need to be as strong as me.” Derpy said as the room was silent for a moment. That is until Dr. Genus said something.
“What a load of crap!”
“Huh?”
“That’s nothing but standard strength training! And it’s not even that intense! It’s just a normal level of training! I asked how you got strong, not something a little kid could do!”
“Whether you believe me or not, it’s up to you. But that’s pretty much how I did it.”
“Oh yeah?” Kabuto said as they notice his body starting to change. “If you don’t wanna tell us your secret, so be it.”
“Kabuto, stop! You’ll go on another rampage!”
“I bet you aren’t stronger than me anyway! But, since you pissed me off, I’m gonna annihilate you and everyone in this room.” With the room sealed up with the color changing from white to red. Carnage Kabuto transformation was complete as Amethyst’s eyes widen in shock at what she saw.
(Music starts)
“CARNAGE MADE!”
“Dear Celestia! He’s bucking huge!”
“I think I might need a bigger roll of newspaper if I’m going to take care of this bug.” Derpy said only for Amethyst to smack her upside her head.
“This is serious Auntie!”
“When I get like this I lose control for a whole week, and my lust for death cannot be quelled! After I kill you, I’ll head into town and go on a killing rampage until next Saturday!” He said causing Derpy to be surprise. “If you are indeed a strong hero, then try and stop me!” With a mighty roar and in a blind of an eye, Carnage Kabuto appeared in front of Derpy as he sends her flying with his fist into the wall behind her.
“Is this really happening?” Derpy thought as she bounced off the wall and was in the air like a limp rag doll. Only for Carnage Kabuto to appear in the air and punch the mare again. This caused her to bounce off the walls like a super ball with the humanoid beetle following. “I think I made a horrible mistake. This thing’s in Carnage mode. It said that it’ll be on a rampage for a whole week?”
“Auntie?” Amethyst said as she watch Derpy being slammed onto the ground. As the mare bounced off the floor, Carnage Kabuto appeared as he begun to send a barrage of fists into the mare.
“Death, death, death, death, death, death,. Death, death, death, death, death!!”
“It’ll be like this till next Saturday?” After finishing the barrage of punches, Carnage Kabuto used his horn to send Derpy flying into the air. “One whole week from today. Next Saturday. In other words, today is Saturday too. This means..”
“Hehe, it’s all over for that pony.” Dr.Genus said as he watch the mare getting pummeled. “There’s no one in this world that can stop him.”
“That means, today is.” Just as Carnage Kabuto was about to deal another blow to Derpy. The mare raised her hoof as she punched the humanoid beetle, causing him to shatter into a million pieces. “Bargain day muffin sale at the supermarket!!”
“I-IMPOSSIBLE!!!” Dr. Genus said as he watch in awe and shock.at what Derpy just did.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I SCREWED UP!!!!!” Derpy yelled.
“What is she-?” (Music ends)
“I’m pretty sure my aunt’s upset because of this.” Amethyst said as she showed the human a sheet of paper saying “Free muffin sale in New Yoke City”. “Auntie, the place closes at 10pm. It’s about four hours away if we fly there.”
“Y-You mean?”
“If we hurry we might make it there on time to get your free muffins.”
“Quick, Amethyst. We gotta hurry to New Yoke before night time.” Derpy said as she runs towards the nearest wall and punched a huge hole in it. “Don’t worry my babies! Momma Derpy is coming!” She said as she flew off with Amethyst on her back.
“.....I think I’m done with the whole evolution thing….I think I’ll open a small little store and retire for now on.” Dr. Genus said as she sniffed. “It would appear that I am the one that must change.”

“Then it is decided that Mumen Rider will remain the top-ranked class C hero.” said a mare wearing a business suit.
“Understood. I’ll let him know.”
“I simply cannot understand why he has no desire to move up to class B? Seem like a waste to remain in that category.”
“Our next agenda item is the 55th Hero Certification Exam. For this exam, the total number of candidates is…” The colt said as he looked over to the mare standing behind a podium.
“11,684, with the exam offered at six different venues. That is an increase of more than 22% over the previous exam.” The mare said, causing almost everyone to gasp in excitement.
“We mustn’t be happy with simple quantity. Even with more candidates, if the quality of heroes is reduced, the numbers are meaningless. Therefore, we ought to be even more critical during evaluations. Also, I hear that a certain pony of interest is taking the exam this time.”
“Yes, it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it seems very likely that she will.” The colt said, looking over a file that had Amethyst’s face on it.
(Hero Test, Location #6 -Sun Fransokyo)
“Why are we here again?” Derpy asked as, getting herself undressed behind a certain.
“It’s something that Tatsumaki wanted us to do. Seeing how we’ve been doing some heroic stuff in Maretropolis, we might as well register for the hero association.” Amethyst said as she leaned against a wall next to where changing room that Derpy was in. “Man look at this place. I never expected to see this many ponies taking the exam.” Amethyst said as she looked at the many different ponies taking the heroes exam. “Guess Tatsumaki, wasn’t kidding when she said that everypony would take the test.”
“I still think that they should change the whole clothing thing.” Derpy said as she walked over to Amethyst wearing nothing but a bra and undies. What took Amethyst by surprise was the fact that her aunt was standing on both her hind legs. “What?”
“Two questions. One, where did you get those clothing, and two how are you standing on your hind legs?”
“Well seeing how I’ve been wearing the suit, I might as well wear something underneath it, as for the hind legs part….I have not idea.”
“I guess I can understand the first part, but the second part...I’ll have to ask one of the doctors here about that. Anyway it looks like we’re up next for the exam.”
“You think we’ll be able to pass it? I’m not every good when it comes to taking test.”
“Yes….I remember what happen last time...how’d you end up burning the testing center to ground is still a mystery.” Amethyst said as she notice the line they were in starting to move. “Welp, wish me luck Aunty.”
“Good luck Amethyst.” Derpy said as she waved good-bye to her. “Alright Derpy, you can do this. Just because you’re accidentally burned down the last testing place, doesn’t mean it’ll happen again.” The mare said as she walked into the area of the exam with a confident look on her face. “Watch out world, because this pony will ace this exam.” She said as she didn’t notice a group of ponies behind her snickering.
“Wait, isn’t that the pony that keeps crashing into buildings?”
“What is she doing here? Shouldn’t she be trying to be a “hero” someplace else?”
“Bet you five bits that she’ll fail this exam.”
“Alright, the first test will be side-to-side jumps for thirty seconds!” The colt said as Derpy prepared herself. “Ready...Go!” A serious look appeared on the mare’s face as Derpy started to move side to side at a breakneck speed. The group of ponies that were watching gasped in shock at the way Derpy was moving. “Time!” The colt said as Derpy stopped and looked at the colt who had a surprised look on his face.
“How was that?”
“.....Um…..n-next exam.” He said as motion Derpy to follow him to a open track field. “Next, the 1500-meter run. We will test on your stamina and speed.” Derpy nodded as she readies herself at the starting line. “Go!” Like a bullet being fired from a gun, Derpy bolted off and ran around the track. As the runners continues their running, they notice Derpy running past them multiple time. Just as the other ponies were preparing the finish line for the other ponies, the line was cut as Derpy ran through it.
“Yay! I win! This is the first time I actually won something like this! Anything else that I need to do?”
“.....This is going to be a very short exam for this mare if this keeps happening.”
(A few hours later, Mare’s Locker room)
“Finally done with all the tests.” Derpy said as she start to put on her blue and white hoodie and black skirt. “Now I just wait for the results.” She said as she soon notice Amethyst walking over to her. “Oh, hey Amethyst. You’re done too?”
“Yeah, it was a pain. Especially when it came to the written part of the exam.”
“Hey, is there a point in you taking the fitness tests? I mean after seeing how strong you are after recent events from before, I’m pretty sure they would’ve caught wind of you by now.”
“I’m sure they wanted to make sure I wasn’t cheating or anything. Kinda understandable when you think about it.”
“I guess you’re right. So how was it?”
“Both the written and fitness test were far too easy. Guess being a bookworm finally paid off in the end.”
“Is that all you need to become a hero?”
“I doubt it, but after recent stuff involving wanna be heroes you can’t really blame them for having them hold an exam like this.”
“I’m a bit surprise that Lance isn’t here to see this. You think he’s busy with something important?”
“Oh he’s here, but he’s taking a different kind of exam from what Tatsumaki told me over the communicator.”
“Really? What did he get on the exam?”
“A class, surprisingly. We should be getting our results soon actually. 70 points is a passing grade. The written test was so easy that anypony could get full points on it.”
“Ugh, I can tell I’m going to fail that one.”
“Did you not do anything for the written part of the test?”
“No, I just filled in most of the answers with muffin related stuff. The multiple choice answer one...well I just made a smiley face on it.”
“....How did you pass high school is still a mystery to me. At least tell me you did well on the fitness part of the exam?”
“I did, but I think they might not want me to be here again.”
“Why is that?”
“Because I broke most of the equipment they have here.”
“Why am I not surprise that this would happen.” Amethyst thought as she shook her head at a thought of Derpy at a gym working out. Before she could say something, the cyborg pony received a message from her communicator. “Looks like we got the notification for our test results.”
“Oh, what did you get on it?”
“It says I’m certified as a class S hero.”
“Congratulations my little muffin.” Derpy said as she hugged and nuzzled Amethyst cheek. “I knew you would pass it.”
“Aunty, please. You’re embarrassing me.” Amethyst said as she blushed from the sudden hug/nuzzle.
“Hey, what did I get on it?” Derpy asked as the cyborg looked up the results for her Aunt.
“Um....you sure you want to know the results on your exam?” Amethyst asked as the mare nodded in excitement. “You….um…..got a 71 on the exam.”
“Neat….what class am I in? I bet I’m in the same class as you are.” Derpy said as a confident look appeared on her face, only to disappear upon what came next.
“It….means that you’re a class C hero.” Upon hearing that, a stoic expression appeared on the mare’s face..
“Oh…..C-C class hero….w-well at least it’s better than an E or something right?”
“Maybe I should have a word with the ponies in charge of this test?”
“Don’t do that! It’ll be embarrassing if you do that!” Just as they were about to leave, the entercom from above them caught their attention.
“Ms. Amethyst, Ms. Derpy, there will be a seminar for successful candidates at 4:00 pm. Please come to lecture hall #3.”
“Guess we’ll have to go to hall #3 before we can leave.” Amethyst said as she looked over at Derpy, who was still depressed from the results of her exam.
“All right, come on. All that really matters is we passed. Let’s get it over with and go home so I can sleep this off.” Derpy said as she started to walk off to said location.
(Lecture Hall #3)
“First, congratulations on passing.” Sneck said as he looked at Amethyst and Derpy who was chewing on a piece of bubble gum. “Now one of you only made it on a fluke, so unless you want your luck to go to waste, I better see you giving it your all.” He said as the expressions on both mare’s faces haven’t change. “And don’t get all puffed up! From here on, keep your hero status in mind and act modestly! After all, your faces will be placed on the Hero Association website.” As the colt wearing a snake like colored suit continues his lecture, Derpy was busy chewing her bubble gum as she began to make a bubble with it.
“Did you hear me? That goofy expression on your face is gonna be shown to the whole world. If you don’t want to humiliate yourselves.” The colt soon jumped onto the desk as he started to perform martial art moves. “Aspired to be a fine hero like me!” Just as he said that, there was a moment of silence until the bubble that Derpy was blowing into popped and covered her face.
“GAH! Amethyst, help! I can’t see anything other than the color pink!”
“I told you not to blow bubbles after what happened the last time.” Amethyst said as she start to pull the bubble gum off Derpy’s face.
“As a class A hero, I have some influence over the Association. I’ll make sure those who behave irresponsibly…” With a slam of his hoof to the desk, a serious/scary look appeared on his face. “Lose points and get demoted. Don’t you forget it!”
“I wonder what I should make for dinner today?” Derpy thought as she pulled the last piece of bubble gum off her face.
“.......This mare is either really stupid or lucky if she was able to pass this exam.”
(Afternoon, Maretropolis City)
“Finally, it’s over.” Derpy said as she and Amethyst made their way down the street of Sun Fransokyo. “Any sooner and I would’ve fell asleep during that pony’s lecture.”
“Well it’s pretty much a standard thing in the Hero Association.” Amethyst said as she looked over to brochure. “Apparently, the Hero Association was formed about three years ago.”
“So it’s only been three years?”
“It was after the daughter of a billionaire called Filthy Rich was attacked by a monster. The child was saved by a passerby. WHen Filthy Rich heard what had happened, he came up with this system and used his fortune to establish the Hero Association.”
“Well, they put on some pretty boring seminars.”
“Question, did ever talked to you privately?” Amethyst asked, causing Derpy to think for a moment.
“Nope, they didn’t talk to me in private or anything. Why, did they talked to you in private?”
“Yeah, it was about the house of evolution.”
“Oh, you mean the place with that weird giant bug beetle thing?”
“Yeah, they were wondering who it was that destroyed the build. So I said that I did. That might be the reason why I was bump into S class hero.”
“I’m so proud of you my little muffin.” Derpy said as she hugged Amethyst causing her to blush.
“I-In any case, as new heroes, we’ll be known around the world. Now we can work with our heads held high.”
“Aren’t are heads already held up high?”
“...It’s a figure of speech Aunty.”
“I didn’t know you were good at speeches.”
“...Never mind, let’s just go home and see what we can make for dinner-.”
“HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!” said a familiar voice as Derpy and Amethyst looked around to see where the voice was coming from. “The hero seminar isn’t over yet.” Appearing from out of nowhere, the pony by the name of Sneck appeared in the direct path of the two mares.
“Hey, isn’t that the pony from the the hero association the gave us that lecture?” Derpy asked, looking at Amethyst who was in a defensive stance.
“In this business there a little thing we like to call hero crushing. A lot of us heroes hate the prospect of being out ranked.” Sneck said as he stood on his hind legs and took up a fighting stance. “So we crush newbies. With moves like this!” He said, charging at Derpy as he punches her in the face. “Got you now you little-” Before he could finish that sentence, Derpy quickly delivered a punch to Sneck’s face sending him flying into the ground face first.
“.....Okay...well that just happen.” Amethyst said as she looked over at Derpy. “You okay.”
“Wow, guess we should’ve pair more attention to that lecture Sneck was giving us.” Derpy said as she start to continue walking. “Let’s make sure we keep a close eye on our surroundings from here on out. Don’t want to get a surprise attack test thing from somepony else from the Hero Association.”
“Yeah…” Amethyst looked over at the unconscious pony for a moment before catching up with Derpy. “I better have a word with Derpy tomorrow morning. I wanna see something for my.”

(Outside of Maretropolis City)
“Not that I don’t mind spending time with you Amethyst, but is there a reason why we’re out here in the middle of the field of Maretropolis?” Derpy asked as she felt a gust wind blow past her, causing her cape to cover her face. "Gah! Help! Everything turned dark!”
“The cape is covering your face Aunty.” Amethyst said as Derpy quickly pauses and removes the cape from off her head. “Anyway the reason why I called you out here is to see how good you are in a fight.”
“Didn’t we already do that with that Raven person a while back?”
“Yes, but in this case I want you to go all out on me.” Amethyst said as she begins to power herself up. “And in return, I will go all out as well. Don’t hold anything back Derpy.”
“Um….okay….sure I guess.”
“Good, then let us begin!” Quickly standing on her hind hooves, Amethyst quickly launches herself at Derpy like a bullet being fired from a gun as she prepares to kick her square in the face. Inches away from her face, Derpy quickly dodges Amethyst’s attack by bending backwards at the last second.
“Whoa, that was close.”
“Dammit.” Amethyst shot a burst of compressed fire from her hoof to turn her around as she tries to spin kick Derpy in the face.Only for her to duck out of the way causing her to miss at the last second. Spinning off to the side Amethyst quickly Jumps into the air as she tries to kick stomp Derpy. Only for the mare to quickly jump into the air causing Amethyst’s attack to hit the ground causing it to erupt.
“Wow, I knew Amethyst was strong but not this strong.” Derpy said as she noticed a strange light coming from the dust cloud caused by the cyborg pony. As she watches a concentrated beam of fire heading towards her, she quickly dodges it and lands a few steps in front of her. “That was close. Good thing I dodged it in time or else I would’ve lost my clothes.”
“Dammit, I need more speed.” Letting out a puff of steam from her mouth, Amethyst’s front hooves began to glow as she slams them onto the ground. This caused her to float a bit off the ground before vanishing from Derpy’s sight. This in turn caused Derpy to vanish as well as they both collided hooved with each other as they began to fly around the gully they’re in causing small shockwaves to erupt from each collision. As they reached the wall of the gully, Amethyst quickly stopped her barrage once she notice that Derpy wasn’t in front of her anymore.
“She’s gone? Dammit, don’t tell me that was an afterimage I was chasing.” The cyborg pony’s eyes glow as she begins to look around the area she was in. In a matter of seconds, she soon noticed Derpy quickly flying against the ground. “Found you!” She yelled as she darted off after the mare. Once she was within range of Derpy, she quickly lands in front of her causing the pegasus to stop. “Incinerate!” Slamming her hooves together, they quickly formed into a cannon as she fired a large beam of compressed fire at Derpy. “No way in hell you could’ve been able to avoid a wide range attack like this!”
Before Amethyst could relish in her supposed victory, she felt somepony tap her on the shoulder. Quickly turning her head to the side, she was soon met with a hoof pressed against her face as Derpy appeared behind her with a cheerful smile on her face.
“I win!” Derpy said as she quickly jumped out of the way of Amethyst sending a powerful right hook. As she dodged Amethyst’s right hook, she quickly lands back onto the ground. “Whoa! That was a very strong right hook you performed Amethyst.”
“Derpy….You remember what I said about not holding back?” Amethyst asked as she glared at the cross eyed pony. “Take this fight seriously and no fooling around. Keep fighting until I’m no longer able to fight.” She said as she begins to power herself up for another attack.“This test will act to least prove something about Derpy’s powers. I just need to push it just a little bit more so I can scan how much power she has. If my hypothesis is correct, then no pony can match up to her. Not even the princesses.”
“Okay Amethyst. If that’s what you want.” Derpy said as a serious expression appeared on her face as she slowly makes her way towards Amethyst.
“Show no mercy Derpy. That was the agreement-.” Before Amethyst could finish, Derpy quickly appeared in front of her for a split second as the cyborg tried to buck her away. As she tried to buck her away, Derpy quickly vanish from in front of Amethyst as she appeared behind her. A sudden sense of dread washed all over the cyborg pony as she slowly turned around to see Derpy getting ready to punch her. Fear took a hold onto the pony as she saw her own death appear in her mind as she braces for the impact of her attack. As the hoof was about to hit her in the face, Derpy quickly came to a complete halt as the hoof was a few inches away from Amethyst’s nose as a powerful gust of wind from the force behind the hoof punch blew past her.
“I win!” The mare said as she boops the cyber pony’s nose. “Let’s get something to eat. I’m kinda getting hungry.” She said as she turned around and begins to hop skip towards town. “Know of a place that we can get our grub on?”
“.....I might know of a place that we could eat once we get back to town.” Amethyst said, blinking with a dumbfound expression on her face. Looking behind herself after feeling the gust of wind blown past her, her eyes widen in shock at how part of the wall behind her was blown away like a giant fist punched through it like it was nothing.
“Good! You’re paying for it though. I’m kinda low on bits.” Derpy said, continuing her way towards town. Amethyst quickly looked over at Derpy, then back at the wall, then back at Derpy again as she scanned the pegasus.
“Just how strong is Derpy?” She thought, before she notice an error sign appearing in front of her vision. “I might need more information on this before I can assume anything about her.”
“What’s the matter? Is there something wrong?” Derpy asked as she looked back at Amethyst who shook her head.
“No, just lost in thought. That’s all.” The mare said as she begins to follow after Derpy.
(Maretropolis City, Udon shop)
“Oh, this place looks nice!” Derpy said as she smelled the air around her as they took a seat inside the shop. “It even smells like food in here too!”
“Yeah, found this place while I was out on the tour of town. Seeing how we’re kinda low on bits, I figure we could come here to get something to eat.” Amethyst said as she took a seat in front of Derpy.
“Smart move on your part. Celestia knows I would’ve suggested a muffin or something to eat.” She said while looking around. Just as she looked over at the counter, she noticed a sign up top and begins to read it. “Hey Amethyst. Want to do another challenge?” She asked as she pointed a hoof at the sign next to them.
“Super-Spicy Mega-Monster Udon Challenge. Prize upon winning is 500 bits. Failure results in paying 100 bits…” Amethyst finished reading as she looked back at Derpy with a worried expression on her face. “You sure you want to do this Auntie? You know what happened the last time you tried to eat spicy foods, right?”
“What’s the matter? Scared that I might beat you in something like this~?” Derpy said in a sassy attitude. “Guess that means I’ll be able to beat you in anything, huh?”
“.......Alright, I accept your challenge Auntie.” Amethyst waved a hoof at the chef in the kitchen to get his attention. “Chef! My Auntie and I would like to do the Super-Spicy Mega-Monster Udon Challenge please!”
“You sure you want to do that? If you lose then you both have to pay 100 bits each.” The colt said as the cyborg pony simply nodded. “Okay! Two Super-Spicy Mega-Monster Udon Challenge coming right up.”
“I’ll be sure to pay for your meal when you lose my little muffin.”
“Oh you are so going to lose when I finish this challenge.” Amethyst said as the chef walked over to them and placed two blue colored buckets on the table.
“Here you go ma’am. The Super-Spicy Mega-Monster Udon Challenge. Make sure you don’t make a mess of thing while you eat it.” He said before standing on the sidelines to watch. Derpy’s eyes widen upon seeing the bucket filled to the brim with upon. Looking over it, she gulps down her saluvia as she looked over at Amethyst with a worry expression on her face.
“O-Okay….maybe this was more than I was expecting.”
“Gonna call it quits then?” Amethyst asked with a cocky grin on her face. Derpy simply shook her head as a determined expression appeared on her face followed by flames of determination surround her body. Don’t know how that is possible, but this is Derpy we’re talking about.
“No way! I’ll show you that I can beat you and gloat about it in your face for years to come!”
“Alright then, don’t blame me if you lose and humiliate yourself Auntie.” Amethyst said as she and Derpy prepare to get ready to eat.
“You two ready?” The chef said as both mares nodded. “On your mark.” Amethyst levitated a pair of chopstick over to her while Derpy uses her wings as hands to grab her own pair of chopstick. “Get set.” Both mares pulled their buckets of Udon close to them as they glared at each other in determination. “Go!”

Chapter 4: Odd but interesting dream
After a heated argument and a few helpings of muffins. Our two displaced ponies make their way to their new house in Maretropolis City; which was ironically right across from the Power Pony HQ. After a few hour of trying to settle in, our heroes for fun are now settling in their new house rent free thanks to Lance and Twilight.
“This place is very roomy. Don’t you think so Amethyst?” Derpy asked as The Cyborg Pony crashed on the couch.
“It would be better if we lived in the countryside instead of the city.”
“Oh come on Amethyst this place isn’t so bad.”
“This place is filled with idiots that want to either rule the world, or cause havoc wherever they go because they’re drunk on power. Not to mention that human is trying to get us to be heroes against our will. That’s something that I don’t like about him.”
“Even if that is true, you could be a little bit nicer to him. After all he did help us out a little bit, and we do owe him that much.”
“Hey I’m not punching him in the face like I do with most ponies am I? Besides that I find him annoying along with that Radiance pony.”
“She seems nice despite her bad fashion sense with the 70’s.” Derpy said as she notice a computer next to the window. “Hey look we have a free computer.”
“Aunty you know you’re not allowed to use the computer without somepony looking over you.” Amethyst said as she lifted her head up from the arm rest. “Remember what happen when you worked at that P-Tunes store?”
(Flashback)
“HELP! THIS COMPUTER THING IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE, AND I DON’T KNOW HOW TO STOP IT!”
“.........How much will this cost?” Amethyst asked as she pulled her wallet out.
“200 bits, you’re lucky that was an old model. Also you Aunt is fired.” said the store owner, as he sighed and walked back towards his office.
“*Sigh* Not a dull day for this family huh?” Amethyst said as she smiled at Derpy’s actions.
(End of Flashback)
“Oh…...right…..sorry about that.”
“Well it’s not like you hurt anypony when you did that. Anyway I think I’ll just sleep here on the couch for the night.”
“You sure about that? I mean your room is only a few hoofsteps away from the couch.”
“......Naw I’ll sleep here for the night.”
“Okay.” Derpy said as she trotted off to her room. “See you in the morning my little muffin.”
“I really wish you would stop calling me that.”
“Not until you learn to be nice to other ponies.”
“.........”
(The Next Day)
It was a perfect morning in Maretropolis City. The sun was shining, the air was clear of any clouds in the sky, and everypony was pretty much doing their own thing in their daily lives. Yep this was a perfect day for Derpy to sleep in until possibly noon or 10:00 am….but sadly this pony was gonna get a wake up call that she would’ve never expected.
*BANG!!!*
“Huh?” Upon hearing that sound, Derpy eyes shot open as she pulled herself up from her bed. She was about to hop out to see where that noise came from. Until something bust through the wall and grabbed her face. In a fit of both shock and surprise the mare knock away whatever it was that grabbed her, only to get punched in the face and sent flying out of her home. As she was sent flying outside, Derpy quickly recovered from the attack as she landed outside of her now destroyed house. “Our house?!”
While Derpy was still looking at the damage done to Amethyst and her house, someone appeared beside her catching her off guard as it punched her again only this time it sent her flying through the guard railing and into the stone support beam under the road. “Ow, that really hurt.” Derpy said as she notice some blood dripping from her head. “Aw man, and I thought I could’ve avoid going to the hospital this year.” as the mare tried to recover from what happen, she notice a shadow being cast over herself. She looked to see a strange looking creature similar to that of a human, but was more muscles, was taller, and had a weird looking mask on with red eyes popping out of it.
“Hey are you the pony that attacked me and my home?” Derpy asked. “If so then you’re gonna have to pay for the damage you caused mister….um what are you if you don’t mind me asking?”
“What” am I? That’s rude. We are the true earthlings of this world.”
“We?”
“I believe your kind called us ‘Subterraneans’.” He said as more Subterraneans started to appear from under the street. “We suffer from overpopulation. Therefore, we must now claim the world aboveground. I understand that there are many ponies on the surface too. As it stands, you are in our way. This is why we have decided to eradicate you all.” He said which surprised Derpy. “Since our invasion commenced, 70% of the surface dwellers have been killed. Minus the few who are still able to fight against us, but in time they’ll be killed off in a few days.”
“But why? Surely we ponies can come up with an idea where we both can live together side by side.”
“This is a battle for survival pony.” The Subterranean said, pointing a finger at Derpy. “I hope you can understand that. However, this is unexpected. We have encountered no surface dwellers whom our punches would not kill.”
“I take it you don’t want to talk this out huh?” Derpy asked as a serious expression appeared on her face. “Then you leave me with no choice Subterra beans, I must stop you in the name of justice, peace, and muffins!” just as she said that, The Subterranean eyes glowed as he readied himself to punch Derpy again.
“WE ARE EARTHLINGS!” He said as Derpy dodge his punch as it hit the stone support beam behind her. Just as she dodge the punch, Derpy stood on her back legs, raised a hoof, and punched the Subterranean in the stomach. At first nothing happen when she did that, that is until after a few seconds the subterranean upper body exploded into chunks of flesh.
“B-But how?!”
“You Bastard! Die!” said another subterranean, as he was prepare to slam Derpy into a bloody pulp. Only for her to dodge out of the way, bounce off of two of the subterraneans, and flies onto the street above her. Following her along were three of the Subterraneans as they were about to attack her again. Only for the mare to dodge the first one by moving to the left quickly. The second one tried to hit her with a kick, but was easily dodge as Derpy ducked then jumped out of the way of the second one. While in the air, the third one tried to knock her out of the way. Only for him to miss as the mare land in the middle of the trio.
As she landed in the middle, the three subterraneans slammed their fists onto her hoping that it would kill her. Instead Derpy simply just blocked it as the street they were on shifted downwards. During that time Derpy shifted her body to the ground as she spun around knocking the subterraneans off their feet. While they were stuck in mid-air, Derpy pulled herself up from the ground, turned to the third Subterranean, and punched him into the other two. Leaving a hoof print in the third one, and sending him and the other into a piece of the street sticking up from the ground.
Once she did that, more of the subterraneans jumped from below as she simply just bat them off like they were nothing but paper balls. One by one Derpy continued her ongoing attack as each one of the subterraneans tried to attack. This went on for a few seconds, until she was punched in the face by a much taller and heavy built Subterranean. This punch sent her flying into Maretropolis City’s gas station, causing it to explode upon impact.
“It’s Over.”
“What was that surface dweller?”
“I’m…” upon hearing that, all of the subterraneans turned to see Derpy slowly walk from out of the fire with a determination look on her face. “Just a mare who’s a hero for fun.” She said as some of the subterraneans to be surprised at what they were seeing. “And the surface is under my protection!”
“Big talk for a race of vermin!” One of the subterraneans said, as they all charged at her getting ready to dog pile her. Only for them to get sent flying off into different directions. As Derpy flew up into the air, she came flying down and hoof punch a subterranean in the face sending him flying off the ground. Another one tried to sneak up from behind her, but was bucked in the face and sent flying off.
Just as she landed after kicking the Subterranean that attacked her. Another one came after her through a piece of destroyed building, only for him to get a kick to the face just like the others. After sending another subterranean flying, Derpy was cut off guard as a fist came from her left and hit her. “Got yeah you little pest-.” before he could finish his statement, Derpy punched his hand and countered with a uppercut to his face. Two subterraneans appeared on both her left and right as they both tried to punch her. At first they thought they had her, until they heard Derpy say something.
“I won’t lose to the likes of you!” Derpy said as she knock the fists away, as the subterraneans were slammed on to the ground hard. “You won’t harm any pony while I’m still around!”
(Moments later)
After a few hours of fighting, Derpy find herself sitting on top of a mountain of dead subterraneans as she took this time to catch her breath. “Geez, I didn’t think there were that many of those subterra beans.” Derpy said as she looked around at her surroundings “I hope Lance has enough money to fix the damage I caused….maybe the city can help with that.” before Derpy could think of what to do next, the earth underneath her start to shake as something erupted from behind herself. The mare looked behind herself to see a four armed monster wielding four glowing swords.
“Well, well. Looks like you been taking good care of my children.” He said looking down at Derpy. “I, the Subterranean King, will take you on pony.”
“Ugh, why can’t bad guys be more for talking things out then fighting?” Derpy asked as she began to run towards the Subterranean King. “In the name of Justice, peace, and muffins. I Derpy Hooves.” With that last part Derpy flew off from the ground and headed towards the King.
“MUFFIN PUNCH! GAH!” Derpy instantly woke up from her dream as she fell face first onto the floor. “Ow….wait that was a dream?” She asked, pulling herself from off the floor and began to trot over to the living room.
“Morning Aunt Derpy.” Amethyst said while cooking breakfast in the kitchen. “How did you sleep last night?”
“It was...okay.”
“You had a hard time getting to bed?”
“No it’s not that. It’s just that I had an odd but interesting dream.” Derpy said as she took a seat at the table. “I was fighting a bunch of monsters that wanted to destroy the pony race. Odd thing was that they actually hurt me a bit.”
“Okay…...you sure have some weird, but interesting dream Auntie.” Amethyst said, as she handed Derpy an egg mcmuffin.
“Hey, not all my dreams are that weird.”
“You mean the last dream you told me about how you fought against a muffin monster wasn’t weird?”
“That was just a one time thing. Anyway, what’s on today’s agenda?”
“We still need to find Dinky. Not only that, but we have to help out around the city if anything bad happens.”
“You don’t seem happy about it.”
“I don’t do the hero crap like the elements of harmony or Celestia. And that stupid idiot Lance keeps trying to force us into the hero business.”
“I’m sure he means well, though I think he might be…..forgetful at times.”
“Doesn’t matter, I don’t like him because of his personality. Faust that kid is not the brightest pony I have ever meet.”
“Well until then we just have to play the hero for now.” Derpy finished her mcmuffin, as she troted towards the door. “I’m going to have a look around the city for Dinky. Wanna join me?”
“I’ll catch up with you later, I have some stuff to look into online.”
“While you’re online, see if you can find a place that sells free muffins for me okay?” with that, Derpy trotted out the door and flew off into the city.
“I will never understand Auntie and her thing for muffins.” Amethyst said as she hopped onto the computer.
