The doors shut behind them as they took flight above the clouds. In the distance, a house that seemed to tower above every other house in Ponyville was present. Made of white fluffy clouds, It looked to be soft to the touch.
Twilight landed next to Derpibra, who also landed next to the door.

"My apologies Rainbow. This is Derpibra."
"Hi!" He gave her a friendly grin.
(He looks like Derpy, minus the weird zebra stripes he has.) She thought. "Hey. Name's Rainbow Dash. Did you want a autograph or something?"
"Nope." He replied. "I wanted the honor of meeting you."
Her ears flipped up. "Thanks..."
"Say," He started. "Since we are both pegasi... maybe you would like to go flying sometime? You look like your a fast mare."

He nodded. "Yup! Let's go!"
As they began to take flight, they noticed Rainbow Dash hadn't moved.
"Aren't you coming?" Derpibra asked.
"Nah, gotta catch some more sleep. Me and Tank got's a flight session to get to later. I'll see you two around!" She trotted back into her house, the door closing slowly.
"Who's Tank?" Derpibra asked.

"Then let's talk to Fluttershy about that. She can talk to animals and they understand her. Maybe she can set you up with one!"
They landed at the front door of Fluttershy's cottage.
Derpibra knocked on the door. "Hello?"
One minute passed.
"Fluttershy? Are you okay?" Shouted Twilight.
The door slowly creaked open by it's own will.
A cold shiver went down the couple's spines. They ran in in the hopes of finding their shy friend, but to no avail.
"Twilight! Take a look at this!" He crouched at a wooden table. There were yellow feathers and signs of small spots of blood on it's face.
"Fluttershy......." Twilight fell back. Tears began to form in her warm, violet eyes. "How could this...? What did this!?"

Twilight had prior experience with traveling in this forest, so she may be used to it, but for Derpibra, not so much. All he seen of the dangerous swamps and clearings of the Everfree was from his coloring books in his foalhood, but he never stepped hoof in it before.
This can, and will be a truly harrowing experience for him to be certain. But he couldn't allow fear to be his enemy.

She turned around. "It's okay. If you want, you can turn back. We're not too far from the enterance."
Derpibra shut his eyes in contemplation. "......N...no. I want to rescue her. Who would I be if I ran away?" His voice was quite shakey, to be expected.

They travelled further into the dark abyss of nature. The deeper they went, the more criminally silent the area became. What could have taken Fluttershy from her home?
There was a distant rumble.
"What was that?" Twilight asked.
Derpibra jumped behind her, only whimpering.
"Stay strong..." She said. (He seems to be scared easily...)
The rumbling became more intense.

"Twilight!!!!" He screamed as he was knocked nearly unconscious by an anonymous source. He laid on the ground, his vision fading. He caught a glimpse of purple magical bursts in the distance before he passed out.
He awoken.
There was only a marginal amount of light were he laid. There was a small amount of blood from a strike to his muzzle, but nothing too severe.

The beast roared at him, yet he still did not move.

The beast crashed upon the ground and stood, growling at him. He noticed it had two ponies strapped to it's back. It was Twilight and Fluttershy!

The beast rammed Derpibra and smashed him into multiple trees. As he collapsed on the dirt, the Timberwolf jumped up and smashed him into the ground.
"Gu ha!!" He coughed up blood, so much so that it created smaller splatters on the dirt.

Twilight's eyes opened slowly.
"Derpibra........." She spotted him lying in a hole in the ground, presumably dead. Suddenly, magic sparked in her.
"Aaaaaaaaaah!" Twilight shouted through her body pains. Her eyes turned a blinding white color. The magical straps of Snapping Vines that bound her and Fluttershy to the beast broke. She then teleported over to Derpibra and casted Life, restoring his ability to fight.
"Thanks! Let's settle the score!" He said confidently.

"I don't know... I'm sorry Flutters. We didn't know Angel was missing again. We were wrapped up in trying to find you that we weren't paying much attention to why you would be out here. That, and we didn't exactly have anything to go on. We just saw blood splatters and, and-" Twilight rambled on.
"The red markings on my table? Angel played a joke on me. He plucked some of my feathers and put red makeup on the table as a early Nightmare Night prank. He scurried off into the forest when he realized how mad I was and I went after him. I was attacked almost as soon as I entered the forest though..."

She brushed her mane back, revealing her face again. "It's okay..."
"Now that we set that issue aside, can we leave now? Celestia forbid anything else bigger than a tree comes after us again..."

The group trotted out of the forest.

"It's because you both are my friends, including Dash." He said. "By the way, do you have anymore friends for me to meet?"
"Three more." She started. "There's a mare named Rarity I want you to meet. She's a unicorn who adores fasion. She works at the Corousel Boutique. Do you want to go?"

They galloped into town.
12:30 PM.
"Well, this is it." Twilight said.
"This place looks like it's making a fasion statement, much like the owner Rarity I presume?" Derpibra asked jokingly.
"Rarity is one of the classiest mares you could ever meet!" She reached for the door, opening it with an audible "Ding!" from the doorbell. They stepped inside, and were immediately greeted by a soothing, sophisticated voice.
"Come in darlings! I have the best fashions in stock this afternoon!" The white mare was sitting at a sewing machine, hard at work. She didn't make an effort to look away, since she seemed to be working on a very delicate work of fashion. It seemed to be a silk dress.
"Hello Rarity." Twilight was delighted to see Rarity for the first time today.
As soon as she recognized her voice, she looked back at Twilight, a bright smile growing upon her muzzle. "Twilight, dear! What a delightful surprise! And I see you brought a friend!" She got up from her stool. Trotting over to him, she shook his hoof. "I am Rarity, proprietor of the Carousel Boutique! A pleasure to be at your service!"

Rarity brushed her mane back, it bouncing with it's natural purple color and almost lusterous shine. "Why thank you! You're such a gentlecolt, hehe." She giggled cutely. "But, if I may not sound so rude to ask, but whatever happened to your manes? You and Twilight both look troubled!"
"It's a bit of a tale." Twilight said. "Let's just say we got into a bit of trouble in the Everfree Forest."
"Oh my!" Rarity gasped. "Do tell me! You've gotten me worried now dear!" She prepared two buckets of soapy water that had a perfumey odor. She levitated brushes, combs, and various shampoos next to her as they sat down.
"We took on a weird wolf thingy made of wood. It had the scariest green eyes if I've ever seen a pair! But Twilight, Fluttershy and I took it out!" Derpibra spoke confidently.
"What an experience! It must've been harrowing for you!"
He grinned nervously, somewhat embarrassed about what he was going to say, but he couldn't lie to her either. Twilight may call him out on it! "To be honest, I was going to soil myself."
Rarity giggled again. "I simply cannot blame you for that dear! I would be equally as terrified!" She soaked their manes and began to lather them with shampoo.

Derpibra snapped out of his daydreaming. "Awww, it's already over?"

He smiled brightly.
"Well then darlings, I'm afraid I must return to my planning room, for I have a new design of dress to conjure. But before I depart, Derpibra?" She asked.
"Yes?"

"Nonsense darling!" She insisted. "Twilight came to Ponyville months ago, seeking nothing but her studies. Trust me, you may go adventuring again one day, and who knows, perhaps you will be Equestria's next savior?"

She poked his chest. "You are to us, darling. Isn't that right Twilight dear?"
"I concur." She responded.
Rarity levitated a white folded cape over to him and allowed it to collapse to the floor, revealing the emblem of Equestria on its face. "Here darling. Why not show a spot of patriotism while you're trotting about slaying those wanting to hinder you from your goals?" She tied the cape loosely so it does not choke him, yet tight enough for it not to undo itself.
His heart felt strangely warmer. "Thanks Rarity." He hugged her once more before departing with Twilight for her castle. "Cya around!"

They trotted into the doors. Twilight shut them behind them.
Derpibra sat on one of the chairs around a map of Equestria. "Rarity is really nice!"

She trotted into one of her many large closets and retrieved a chocolate brown book with gold trims. The papers appeared to be slightly yellowed vellums.
"A Ponies' Guide to Equestria - RPG theme.." He read as he took hold of the book.
"I thought that maybe you would have a use for it since exploring seems like a new thing for you to do."
"Thanks Twilight. Now, let's see what it says..."
He flipped to page one. He began to read aloud.
"This is a complex guide to Equestria, a book that may very well save your life and put this land into perspective for you! Here is the main component of ponies: stats. Statistics are scaled from one to ten. Real-life ponies are built like characters from Role Playing Games. Here is the full list of stats that gives you a general sense of how formidable you can be whilst adventuring:
HP, or Health Points. This stat measures how much damage a pony or creature can take before falling. Use items or spells to restore Health.
MP, or Magic Power. This is the energy used to cast spells. Unicorns and Alicorns have the most, while any other race is left with barely any.
Atk, or Attack. This is the general physical damage a pony can inflict. Influenced by Strength, and by equipped weapons.
Matk, or Magic attack. This is the general damage that can be done with magical attacks, including summoned weapons. Enchanted weapons can raise this stat.
Def, or Defense. This measures one's ability to resist physical damage. This stat is influenced by equipped armor, enchantments, ect.
Mdef, or Magic Defense. This measures how much defense a pony has against spells and other magical elements. Enchanted armor can raise this stat.
Res, or Resilience. This is how resistant a pony can be against ailments, such as poison or curses.
Str, or Strength. This is a general measure of a ponies' physical capabilities, like attack damage and their ability to use oversized weapons.
Dex, or Dexterity. This measures how flexible, reflexive, or quick a pony can be. This stat also influences accuracy of attacks. Can be lowered by heavy armor.
End, or Endurance. This stat influences how much stamina a pony has. This allows for more Physical special attacks.
Int, or Intelligence. This measures the problem solving capabilities of a pony, as well as the power of spells. Higher intelligence also rewards larger stat increases upon leveling up.
Chr, or Charisma. This influences how well a pony can socialize with others.
Wis, or Wisdom. This influences how down-to-earth a pony can be, and allows them to take control of emotional circumstances more effectively.
Wil, or Willpower. This measures the ability to endure mental or physical pain. Increases resistance against mind-bending magic.
Per, or Perception. This measures how aware or knowledgable a pony is about their surroundings. This stat raises when in familiar areas. Allows enemies to be more easily spotted in hiding, or heard if using stealth.
Lu, or Luck. This stat determines how everything can fall with or against a pony, and the possibility of uncovering items.
Different races of ponies gain different stat boosts.
Earth- Physical: Bonus to Str, Def, and HP. Receives more damage from Flying class.
Pegasus- Flying: Bonus to Dex, Per, and Res. Receives more damage from Physical because of more fragile, nimbler skeletons. Higher chances of dodging attacks.
Unicorn- Mage: Bonus to MP, Matk, and Mdef. Weak to Physical and Flying classes.
Alicorn- Multi: Small bonuses to all stats. Neutral against all classes. Can learn Physical and Flying type abilities, but will not be as potent.
Derpibra took a breath.
"Are you okay?" Twilight asked, smirking.
"Yup. That's just a lot of stats. Hehe, but no worries. Just because I'm cross eyed, doesn't mean I can't read!"
"I'm impressed truth be told. Now, if you flip to the back, there is a rune in the back. Touch it, and it will reveal your stats."
He did as instructed, and came across a circular rune with odd characters written in a likely long forgotten language. He placed his hoof over it, and it shined brightly. Lifting his hoof, a hologram-like magic radiated from the book. It listed the following:

Spike charged into the room. "Twilight! I got a letter from Celestia!" He handed it to her quickly. "Hey! Who's your friend here?"
"Name's Derpibra. Your name?"
"Spike, Twilight's number one assistant!"
Twilight was skimming through the vellum. "Seems Celestia wants me to research the possibility of... Earth and Pegasus pony magic? There's no way that exists... does it?"
Derpibra and Spike shrugged.
"This is going to be interesting. Say, if this magic does exist, maybe you can start casting spells soon Derpibra!" She said.
"That sounds awesome! But what about two of your other friends we were supposed to meet?"
"I won't be able to travel with you for right now. But I can help you find them in another manner. Do you still have that map of Ponyville?"
He nodded.
"Do you mind if I mark some locations where you can find them?"

They waved as Derpibra trotted beyond the castle to discover two new friends.
"Guess I'll meet Pinkie first." He was strolling about in the streets, taking in the colorful building and even more colorful ponies trotting about. Everypony had smiles and grins, balloons floating about and colts and fillies playing around town. Soon enough, the happiness rubbed off on him, causing a small smile and a feeling of bliss to overcome him. He already felt at home and it was only his second day in town.
But then, he discovered somepony who wasn't too happy like he was. A bat-pony mare, dangling her hooves one a bridge over a lake. She was surrounded by about five ponies. They all seemed to be laughing at her.
Derpibra adopted a serious expression. "This is unacceptable..." Playing the hero, he jumped into the crowd and spread his wings as best he could. "What do all think you are doing!?"
A buff, brown stallion stepped up to him. "Look at the skinny pegasus, trying to protect this freak."
The mare looked up at Derpibra, tears in her eyes, curious to why he was helping her.
He withdrew his broken blade. Serviceable at least by intimidation standards to an unarmed pony. "Back away, and leave her alone!"
The stallion pushed him. "What're you gonna do with that?"
He flapped his wings crazily until wind began to pick up quickly. He blew him away into a group of wooden boxes and rendered him unable to move.
All of the bullies scurried off into the crowd.
"W-why did you...?" The bat-pony asked, staggered by his not so obvious strength. "Why?" She had a gray leathery coat, a dark blue mane and tail, regular sized wings, midnight blue eyes, and one inch fangs. She had a soft voice, identical to Fluttershy's, but with somewhat of a different pitch.
"I had to do something." He helped her onto her hooves after sheathing his blade.
"Th-thank you." She wiped a small amount of tears from her eyes. "You are the first pony to treat me nicely since..."
"Since...?"
"King Sombra." She finished. "He attacked the Crystal Empire not too long ago. That time, he grabbed the crystal heart successfully, He spread darkness about the empire and corrupted both the lands and ponies. Eventually the damage was undone, but the creatures and ponies affected could not be fixed. His magic turned me into a bat-pony, and since then I've never been looked at or treated the same..."
"That monster... Tell you what..." He began. "What if I found Sombra and took him out for you?"
"It's not that easy." She replied. "I appreciate your concern, but he's a very powerful unicorn. I don't want you to get yourself turned into a... creature. Not like me."

He was slumped on the couch, occasionally shooting looks of love at Lunar Blaze. He wondered how he got a new marefriend so easily, and even more at how he loved her so quickly. But he paid it no mind. What's done was done right?
"Hey Luna?"
"Hey sexy. You done eyeballing me over there~?"
"I actually have to head out for a bit. I gotta meet a friend of Princess Twilight."
"Can we have more fun when you get back~?"
"You bet your sexy flank." He smiled seductively.
"So," She began. "What's a ponies' name?"
"I dunno. It's supposed to be a orange country mare out in Sweet Apple Acres, on the other side of town."
"Want me to tag along?"
"Nah. You should get comfy. And besides, I won't be gone long. I'm just gonna see what she's about and come right back." He trotted over to her and smooched her on the lips. "I promise."
"Aww, but I'll be so lonely..." Halfway jokingly said that statement was. "Have fun...my bat."
He smiled. (I guess I am her bat.)
2:00 PM
It took him quite the while for him to arrive at the farm. He was distracted by all of Ponyville's attractions, ranging from the mostly polite ponies and marketplaces.
As he approached the farm, the sun still burning like a wild tempest of fire, shed it's beloved celestial greatness across the trees. Lusterous, red-ruby apples hung from the towering creations of nature-the trees, as he trotted past, taking in the natural, sweet smell of, well, nature! He spotted a barn and a treehouse at the end of the road, and subsequently, a orange mare bucking trees to his right.
He approached the mare. "Erm, excuse me? Are you Applejack?"
She turned around and took off her hat. Her golden mane flowed in the everlasting wind like a river, barely restricted by a red band. Her body was glistening with sweat. Nigh repulsive to some, but a constant reminder of a hard day's work to her. Her rough, emerald eyes connected with his, establishing a freindly mood about one of her few encounters today.
"Howdy there!" She greeted joyfully. "Why yes, I'm Applejack! What's your name Sugarcube?"
"Name's Derpibra." His ruby eyes failed to look at her straight, but he still knew what she looked like nonetheless.
"You're the only other pony I know with crossed eyes. So, what brings ya' 'round here?"
"Your friends with Twilight right? She sent me to meet her closest friends."
"I guess you're part of that list too! pleasure to meet ya! But, as much as I wanna sit and chat ya'll, I gotta get these apples in the next few hours. Demand for cider's been goin' up lately."
(She looks like she can use a hoof. But I told Luna I'd be home early... Ah, I'm sure she won't mind.)
"Want a extra set of hooves to help you get those apples down?"
"Yeah actually. Thanks! I don't need much, just get a few trees down for me. That outta ease the workload."
"Your welcome. Anything for a new friend!"
2:00 -> 2:30 PM
-Derpibra tried his hardest to buck some trees with great success. After he helped Applejack, he felt slightly tougher than usual.
Strength raised from 4 to 5!
Endurance raised from 4 to 5!
Derpibra unlocked the door to his house and walked in, locking it behind him.
"Hey batty." He began.
"Hi~" She sounded slightly pleasured. "You were gone a while."
"Yeah, sorry about that. Turns out the mare named Applejack was a apple farmer. She said that demand for her cider was going up and she needed to move some apples in a few hours, so I thought maybe you wouldn't mind if I helped her out. She did only need a few apple trees harvested anyways."
"That's what friends are for right? I just wish I had more friends..."
"The friends I have will accept you for who you are, I can assure you of that."
"I hope so... Can I meet them?"
"They all seem busy today. "Best to check 'em out tomorrow."
"Okay.. So about that fun time..."
"Hehe, you're eager aren't ya? Let's hit the bed then."
As the sun was scheduled to set in the next few hours, Derpibra and Lunar Blaze decided to have quite the musing time into the morrow.
Surely after the events of today, what lies in store for Derpibra? It seems that the more he stays in Ponyville, the more queer events that occur seems to get.
He doesn't know what to expect, which is what scares him now. He can only ever live one day at a time, afterall.
