Button Mash's Buggy Adventures! (Feat. Discord, Chatter Bug, Pinkie Pie, etc.)

It was truly a wonderful day in Ponyville, the skies were clear, the birds singing was top-notch, even the air was smelling of perfection. It was on this day that Button Mash, Ponyville's greatest gamer, other than his dad of course, noticed something strange with the new filly from school. She always spends lunch and recess alone! This thought bothered him for some unknown reason, and when he starting asking around for the answer, either they had no clue, or were simply being a bully and picking on her while she wasn't around. They never did say anything mean to her when she was around though, which was weird by itself but Button didn't mind.

By the end of the day, Button Mash decided to face this issue the same way as he would defeat Zowhrarg The Dragon! Go right to the source! Then he would fight this monster-sized problem like when the Breezie tribe of Howitzer was under attack by a VamBreezie! Oh but this will be a daunting task, more daunting than when he was fighting the final Powzer Boss in Super Ponyio Bros. 3 with one life left! More challenging than trying to defeat the Water Temple in Legend of Pony: Ocarina of Time! More- "OOF!"

In his wake of self-propulsion, he didn't even notice that he was walking over to the filly in question, bumping right into the brown coated pony with straight, long lime-green hair. Quickly recovering, Button smiled sheepishly, "H-Heh... Sorry about that."

The filly just blinked. "..."

"..."

...More embarrassing and even more awkward than when he invited Sweetie Belle over to his house for some Ponecraft and pizza that one time? ...Eeeyup. "...U-uhhh... I-I noticed that you n-never hang out with anypony else at s-school... I-I was kinda wondering... W-Wanna hang out o-or something?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

...Maybe he should just go. It doesn't seem like she wants to be bothered. "...U-Uhhh... I-I'll take that as a no... I-I'll j-just go then..." Just as he was about to turn around, he saw something shift in her eyes, almost as if they had changed somehow. A moment later he saw her brighten up dramatically and her mane poofed up into a big poofy mess that could make Pinkie Pie jealous, her lips pulling into a gigantic smile that kinda creeped Button out.

"OHMYGOSH are you asking me to be your friend!? PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASESAYYES!!!"

Startled, Button unconsciously took a step back, his ears flattening against his head. "I, uh... Y-Yes?"

Chatter Bug squealed and immediately bear-hugged him "OHMAHGOSHTHISISTHEBESTDAYEVER!!! We're going to have so much fun! Oh! First we have to go visit my fourth cousin thrice removed Pinkie Pie! Come on come on come on let's go!" And just like that she was literally dragging her new friend around Ponyville at a speed that would make Rainbow Dash nod in approval, which did in fact happen.

Button was just holding onto her for his dear life, a bit of his own flashing before his eyes.

Chatter Bug took the silence as an open invitation to continue talking, "Oh right! I never told you my name! My name's Chatter Bug, but can just call me Chatters, Chatty, Bug-Brain, or even that girl with the bright green poofy mane! I used to live in Manehatten, then Trottingham, then Fillydelphia, then Appleoosa, then we left Equestria for a while and stayed in Neighpony, Saddle Arabia, Germaney, we even went to Griffonstone, the Dragon's Dens, the Diamond Dog mines, the Netherlands, the Buffalo Tribes, th-"

And she just kept going. Button Mash just held on for dear life and was barely paying any attention at this point. They quickly reached Sugarcube Corner and burst through the door "COUSIN PINKIE! GUESSWHATGUESSWHATGUESSWHAT!? I MADE A NEW FRIEND TODAY!"

Pinkie Pie then seemed to materialize out of thin air, wrapping Chatter Bug, and subsequently Button Mash, into an even bigger bear-hug. "OHMYGOSHIMSOPROUDOFYOUCHATTY!"

It was at that point that poor Button Mash's mind couldn't handle anymore, though a bit of oxygen-deprivation might have helped, and he passed out.

"...Uhhhh Chatters? ...I think your new friend is broken." Pinkie stated, a little worried.

"What!?" Chatter Bug started shaking Button rapidly. "Wakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeup!!! Cousin Pinkie! Why'd you break him!?" She glared at Pinkie accusingly.

"Me!? You were bear-hugging Button the whole time!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Yuh-huh!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Yuh-huh!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Yuh-"

Button smiled as he was typing away at his computer. His extensive years of hard-earned research had finally payed off, earning him the title of Best Game Maker In The Universe Ever! He smiled happily as he worked away on his masterpiece, his legacy, his... Final Fantasy! He nods and types down the name, deciding that it was appropriate.

"Button..."

Button Mash blinked a couple times, looking around his office but not seeing anyone. Wait... when did he get an office?

"Button Mash..."

He then started to realize what was going on. He walked away from his desk and called out, "P-Princess Luna?"

Then the royal blue alicorn phased in through the wall, calmly flying through the dream, dissolving it with her wingflaps. Button Mash bowed upon reflex in her intimidating presence "Button Mash. This is your dream, there is no need for the formalities." She stated with a consoling tone, easing Button's nerves... sort of.

"S-Sorry P-Princess Luna. W-What brings you here to my dream?" Button nervously gulped, hoping that he didn't do anything bad by accident.

Luna giggled softly a bit, noticing his nervousness. "Nothing bad, I assure you Button Mash. In fact, I'm here to give you a quest!"

Button's eyes bulged at this, his jaw dropping and ear's flattening on his head. "A Q-Quest!?"
