Canterlot City, home to many famous landmarks, one of the biggest cities on the east coast, and being known for having quite the police force. Or so a racer from back west has heard. In Canterlot, there is talk of a massive showdown taking place within the streets, with prizes from thousands of dollars to the competitor's car, called The Blacklist Race, an underground racing circuit with many prizes and challenges awaiting the racers.

Greg 'Dusty' Bakersfield has it in his mind to compete in the race, to get the prize and win his way to the top of the Blacklist. But… he's in for one hell of a time when he's trapped in the city after losing his car to the top dog. Now with no car, he has to fight his way back to the top and defeat his rival and reclaim his car.

However he's not alone in this struggle, as he teams up with a rookie street fighter named DJ-PON3. The two will fight their way to the top of the charts, both fighting for something they desire as they evade authorities, rival competators, and the elements at large.
