Secrets and Lies

She panted heavily, and looked around. Had anypony heard the gunshot? She didn't care- getting out of that place was Rainbow Dashes main priority at that moment in time. Blood trickled down her foreleg, one hoof covering the bullet-hole, as she tried to sniffle the blood coming from her nose. She looked at the unmoving body behind her, then at AppleJack, her partner in crime, it now seemed. The orange mare smiled grimly at her, and then turned to the exit, giving the message that they had to go. Had she really just done that? Yes was the answer that ran through her mind, along with the amazing feeling of adrenaline.  The yellow, lifeless mare, that was known as Raindrop, laid limp on the concrete, a gunshot gushing with blood, placed exactly in the middle of her forehead. Rainbow nodded at AppleJack, and they ran through the alleys and passages and backstreets of PonyVille, desperate to get out without being found out.

The rain dripped outside, as the warm fire of AppleJacks home became alive, heat filling the room. Rainbow had bandaged her wound, and would be fine- she would still fly, fortunately for her. She switched the TV on, and bright lights of police cars blared on the screen. She laughed slightly after seeing the news flash - Mare found dead in backstreets of Ponyville.

"What's so funny, RD?" The orange mare shouted form the kitchen.

"This. It would have been us getting in there if we hadn't left." Rainbow pointed one hoof at the small, black and white screen.

"Ah suppose it would, RD." She said as she trotted in. "Tomato soup for dinner?"

"I guess. It's weird you not asking about having something to do with apples, haha." Rainbow sighed deeply. Is this really what I wanted?

"Ah know, RD, ah know..." She thought carefully about what would happen next, but an announcement from the news replaced them thoughts, and she shivered.

The prime suspects were two mares- AppleJack and Rainbow Dash.
