It was a tireless day, there in the United Nations. Everyone was yelling, talking amongst themselves about the present new nation that was coming today. No one knew that a whole country of ponies existed in the reaches of the Bermuda Triangle, and when they presented themselves as “Equestrians”, it only came as a shock.
“Quiet down!” yelled President Obama towards the rows of diplomatic envoys.
“They are coming as we speak, and we are to respectfully talk to these ‘“Ponies’” as correctly like any other country here, Ssure they might not be human, but they’re still an Earthen species.”
The few envoys of their respective nations shushed down as the large double door entrance to the United Nations screeched open. A few whispering and overall quiet gossip continued while the Equestrian Envoys walked through.
It was Princess Celestia, and Princess Twilight Sparkle all dressed in stunning garbs of magical linen and such. They continued to their seats and sat side by side as the other humans watched in awe.
“Welcome Equestrian dignitaries to the United Nations, we’re glad to have you.” said Obama happily to his speaker.
Princess Celestia cleared her throat and licked her lips, to address her official first declaration as a country apart of the New World.
“My name is Princess Celestia, I come from a place that has many magical and technological wonders. We’d love to inform to all that magic is very real and that it can be manifested. Throughout history, Humans have had this in their stories, literature, and more. But, I am here to bring all this back to what was lost.”
“Our world is an Egalitarian one, we do not discriminate much and we treat our hooved brethren, clawed, or footed with equal respect. There is no slavery here and we welcome this brand new world to our reaches. It truly is an exciting realization to see something that is more than just the world of Equestria.
The dignitaries of the world clapped at the speech Celestia gave, happy for the new pony nation to be of stable and positive grounds.
As the clapping calmed down, Obama pushed his head forward to get a better clearer voice to be heard.
“So, we’ve heard you have magic, we humans have long thought this was just mere fiction, could you do a testament of this?”
Princess Celestia motioned her alicorn pupil forward, where she lit her horn and fired a spray of magical fireworks from her horn. Everyone was watching the show, enjoying what they were seeing.
As the fire show quieted down, Twilight returned to her seat and smiled.
“Well, that was quite a fun show. I believe this will be a booming relationship with Equestria.”
Obama shifted through pages from the file on his desk. He looked through and found an image of Discord.
“So, our sources indicate you have a Chaos God that is capable of altering reality.” he said calmly.
“How are you able to control this powerful deity from destroying everything?”
Celestia scooched the microphone closer to herself and said.
“With the power of Friendship!”
The surrounding dignitaries all started laughing at the prospect of what she said. Even Obama couldn’t help, but chuckle.
Celestia watched confused while blushing. She did not know what she said was wrong.
The laughter died down and Obama addressed this.
“Alright, so, this “Friendship” you speak of, What exactly is it’s uses if you could explain.”
Celestia scrunched her face.
“Well, we were able to befriend the creature, without resorting to violence. We usually resort to peaceful and egalitarian ways to our problems.”
“Wait wait wait, Aret yout sayings that you havet no BOOM? No? Is this some kinde of the joke!?” said the Prime Minister of Russia.
The rest of the dignitaries chuckled, although not as heartily as before.
“Well, w-w-we have mMagical abilities, but we don’t resort to…”
“Have you been to any wars? Or any type of mass death in the past hundred years?” said Obama questionably.
“Well… no…” said Celestia.
The surrounding dignitaries all sighed in realization at what they were working with.
“Oh man, you're gonna go far here.” said Obama jokily.
“Well, we're all glad you have joined us, “Princess Celestia”, to the future of the world then.” said Obama, finishing the meeting.
As the dignitaries walked out of the large United Nations, Princess Celestia sat with her pupil, absolutely confused and embarrassed. She covered her eyes in stress.
“Oh come on, Princess Celestia, you made half an impression at least, before you said the whole friendship thing.”
Celestia rubbed her right eye and took a deep sigh.
“That’s not what I’m worried about Twilight, I’m so scared that things will become so different now. Who knows what threats and decisions we will face now!”
Twilight patted Celestia on the back, it surely wouldn’t be that bad as she thought.
“Oh come on! It’s just like you said, It’s a new world out there!” said Twilight consolingly. “let’s go eat lunch, we could try different meals from their countries if you’d like.”
“okay Twilight, let's go.” she said with a sniff.
The two swept off their seats and went down the quiet United Nations, for a much deserved meal. They went down to the corridor and went to the side where all the countries were discussing economic issues and etc.
Twilight and Princess Celestia went to the cafeteria food distributor and found the lunch lady preparing a meal for them. They took their vegetarian meals and went and sat down, eyes watching them eat together. Continuing to eat, and the loud bantering from them all. She could only watch them all, with their Minotaur hands and feet. Maybe humans were somehow related to them…
“Excuse me, you wouldn’t mind me sitting down with you right?”
Obama scooched to the surprised Celestia and Twilight. He sat his tray down and looked at them with a smile.
“I’ve just wanted to say that, you guys never had wars before? I can respect that, not even a civil war. Amazing, wish I had that non-violent way in my country…” said Obama sadly.
“But, don’t let these dignitaries get to you. Between their jokey interior, they’ll eat you alive. So be careful out there. And remember, make the right decisions from now on. Things are going to get a whole lot complicated.”
“Thank you, those words of wisdom are reassuring.”
“Yes, thank you Mr. President.” said Twilight.
“Have you ponies tried the french fries? They’re to die for. An American favorite”
The three continued their conversation throughout the time they had. Overall, it was very pleasant.
