Chapters The Discovery of a Princess
Sunset Glimmer runs into the the main courtroom “You requested to see me your highness?” Sunset asked.
“ only a few years into your studies and I already have a important task for you to undertake my loyal student. Do you think your Ready?” Celestia ask.
“I'm sure I can handle any task you are willing to give me your highness” Sunset responds.
“ I fear that an old adversary of mine will try to come back and I need you to stop him.” Celestia proclaim.
“ I will not let you down” Sunset stated.
“ Good, now you need to head north to the capital city of the Crystal Empire. There you will learn all you need to learn to stop the old king from regaining his thrown. Now go, before it's to late. O, and one more thing. Call me princess Celestia now” the princess proclaim. Sunset nodded and quickly ran for the train station, hoped on the line for the Crystal City, and went on her first adventurer.
As she arrived at the Crystal City, she was met with a rather frighten populous. She quickly notice that all the crystal ponies were trying to hid from something, but what? She went to the Library to find some answers, but to no avail. She started to walk around asking every group of ponies she met to only get he is coming or he'll be back soon. Soon she found her way into the Crystal Palace only to find a mother and her newborn child hiding like the others. The only different is that the mother was a little more cooperative then the other townsfolk. “ he is coming back and we are all doom” the mother said.
“who?” Sunset inquired.
“ King Sombra” the mother replied.
“who is King Sombra” Sunset asked.
“ King Sombra is a ruthless leader that ruled the Empire with an iron hoof” the mother replied.
“What happened to him and why is he coming back?” she inquired.
“ after a long war with Equestria and the might of princess sisters, he was finally defeated. But now he threatens to return and use my child as a way to regain his power” the mother answered holding her baby tightly.
“What do you mean by your child being used” Sunset asked. themother loosens her hold on her baby to reveal an alicorn.
Just then the ground quaked with a loud deep rumbling. Soon that rumbling turned into an deep laugh. It was over in an instant and as soon it was over Sunset found that the mother was gone with her alicorn child. She quickly ran the only way that the mother could have gone and found here hiding behind a mirror in a small closet. “it will be OK, I'm came under the request of princess Celestia. I can personally offer you and your baby protection.” Sunset stated.
“ No, you can't. No one can. There is only one place where I can protect my child.” the mother proclaim. She ran around to the front face of a mirror and ran right into it. Just as she did that, the dark voice said “NOOOO!!!!!” and with that scream came a black crystal spike that was met to stop her but only got her in her hind leg instead. Sunset confused about the mirror ran to it but to no avail. She tried to get rid of the spike but only got blasted back In the proses. With no further ideas she ran outside to fine peace as normal. She asked around about what just happen but all the ponies stated that there was nothing like that around here and knew nothing about king Sombra. More confused that ever, she went to the train station and headed back to Canterlot to inform the princess about what happen.
As she arrived at Canterlot she was greeted with a few royal guards and Celestia. “how did your mission go Sunset Shimmer” Celestia inquired.
“ I don't know if I can answer your question in a single sentence your highness” Sunset responses.
“ come. You can explain it in the way” Celestia said as they started to move towards the carriage. As Sunset start to tell the story to Celestia, she started to look more and more down on herself. As she finishes the story she about to fall on her belly crying and begging forgiveness for losing an alicorn. Celestia responds with “Do not weep or beg forgiveness. The fault lies on me. I did not realize the size of the situation and sent you to deal with a task that even I would fear of failing it. You are strong and wise young one but your still new at this. You are going to slip on a task and fail another,That is life. Only when you make the same mistake is when you should be ashamed of yourself like you are now. Come, there is still much to do and much to learn.” as the carriage arrives at the palace, the two step off the Celestia has the guards help Sunset to her room. As the day end and Celestia brings the moon around the horizon, Celestia looks and the mare on the moon and says “we all make mistake, don't we Luna”.
After a long and mind boggling ride, the mother find herself in a ally with these strange appendages and more over, a strange new body. She quickly looks around for her baby to find her in front of her. She crawls to her baby forgetting about her wounded leg. She looked into the blanket to find her baby asleep. In an instant she felt a massive spike in pain. She looks at her leg to find that her wound was glowing a dark purple. She grabs her baby and tries to stand up but the pain was to unbearable. She starts to crawl toward the sound of people when it sound like the sound was coming to her. She quickly made out three individuals coming towards her.
“HELP!!!” she scream as loud as she could. The voices went silent.
“PLEASE HELP ME” she call out again. Then she saw a blue blur coming towards her.
“I'm coming, hold on a sec”. The blue blur said.
“Please help my baby, take her to some place safe, PLEASE.” she said when she her vision went black.
The last word she heard was “OK”.
Cupcake
Aria storms out of the store with the Adagio and Sonata right behind her. “I can't believe that we spent all that time and money for a dead end” Aria said.
The Dazzlings were walking down the street towards the bus station when Sonata stop. “Did you hear that?” Sonata said.
As the bus drop them all off at home there started to think about all the ways to take advantage of there new found situation. “So, what at we going to do with the baby?” Aria asked.
As the three sit down for dinner, the baby woke up again. “ ooh, is someone hungry” Sonata said to the baby. She grab the bottle of milk that Aria warmed up and she started to feed her. “ have you two thought of any Names for her?” Sonata ask.

Everybody woke up to find a blanket of snow on the ground. "It's going to be a white Christmas after all" Sonata said.
After finishing the driveway, Sonata and Aria went into town for Christmas supplies. "So, what do you want to get first?" Sonata asked.
When the tree arrived three hours later Sonata started to set it up. "Can you open up the tinsel for me?" Sonata asked Aria.
Everybody woke up to the grandfather clock chime. "Christmas is here." Sonata hollered out.
The day went on with a smile as Sonata put Cupcake into her new walker Dottie. "She better not hit me with that thing." Aria said walking out of the kitchen.
