Equestria Daybreak

As Sunset walked along the sidewalk to CHS she noticed that the air seemed colder. Sure winter was starting but it felt colder than ever, almost as if something bad is on the horizon. Ignoring his she made her way to home room where Fluttershy and Applejack were waiting but something caught her eye, it was a teenager.

"Arigatō." said the teenager, judging by his language he was Japanese. He wore a black shirt with red, white and green highlights, he also wore dark blue denim jeans held up by a belt with a K on the buckle, he had black tennis shoes with green highlights, his hands were covered in black and green fingerless gloves and on his head a crimson hat with a white center and a red half circle in the middle.

Must be a cosplayer thought Sunset, she walked toward him as he looked around. "Hello, you must be new here. I'm Sunset Shimmer." she said smiling warmly. He only nodded and looked around again, was he looking for someone?

"Um...can you understand me?" she asked. She never dealt with foreign exchange students before. Well maybe the Sirens, but they didn't count.

"Yes I can." said the raven haired boy.

"Who are you looking for? A friend?" said Sunset. Now she was looking around for this mystery person.

"Kinda, we sometimes fight. And he's kind of a moron." after he said that he smirked. "But he's an awesome friend, speak of the devil." Sunset turned to see a teenager about Pinkie Pie's age walk towards them. He had a blue shirt with yellow highlights, he also wore brown pants with blue Tennis shoes, on his hands were bluish gloves, on his head he wore what looked like goggles, like the raven haired boy he was Japanese and he had spiky hair only brown.

"America has welcomed me with open arms, I am now one with their ways." said the newcomer as he removed his goggles. "Satoshi buddy, I'm home."

"This is Kamiya Taichi, we've known each other since third grade. He acts like a little kid when it comes to America." said Satoshi

"Can I help it? You guys made some of the coolest movies, toys, and games. By the by." said Tai. "Who are you? No wait! Stephanie Summers?"

"It's Sunset, Sunset Shimmer." said the fiery haired girl. "Welcome to Canterlot High, you're gonna love it here, you aren't insane right? Like you aren't going to try and take over the world and try to kill everyone are you?"

Tai and Satoshi looked at each other with faces that look confused and kind of offended they then looked at Sunset with raised eyebrows. "No?" the boys said.

"Okay.....just checking." said Sunset. Who could blame her? The last time someone was a new student the Sirens almost took over the city. But to her defense, it was an accident.

She lead them to every part of the building, the gym, the cafeteria, the library and the cafeteria. "So that's about it. hope you enjoy it here."

"We will. Thanks Sunset." said Satoshi as he walked one way to his classroom

"I hope to see you later." said Tai as he walked to his classroom "I'd give you my number but I'd need yours first."

Sunset rolled her eyes at this and chuckled, still something bothered her, when she was outside it felt cold too coldWhat's going on? It doesn't get this cold without.........magic! she thought to herself eyes widening at this aspect. Magic was indeed in the air, but it felt more horrid and in a lack of better word, evil. "I'll look into it later. I've got to get to class." She said to herself, she continued down the hall.

"I think there's more magic from the Games still here." said Sunset during during the class's last ten minute freedom. "And for some reason I think these two new kids are involved."

"Not to burst yer bubble but, Ah think we would know if there was trouble." said Applejack. "An' even if they were, we would see strange thing's crawlin' over the city." said Applejack.

"But that's not the point." said Sunset. "I know this may sound crazy but I felt something before I got here. It felt dark and twisted. I think something's here at CHS."

"Well even if some power hungry maniac wants to take over the world, we can stop them." said Rainbow, but she looked towards Twilight who looked at her in annoyance. "Uh....heh no offense?" said Rainbow nervously.

Twilight just stared at her not even flinching. "None taken." said the young scientist through gritted teeth.

"Geez I don't  know what's scarier, Fluttershy's stare or yours." said Rainbow.

"The point is, something's here at CHS and it's gonna cause trouble." said Sunset. "We need to be prepared for the worst, if possible."

"I hope it doesn't get worse, the last thing I need is more distractions from my work." said Rarity.

Twilight looked down. "If it's from Equestria, I'm sorry." said Twilight. "I didn't meant to bring anything from there, I was out of control."

Sunset put her hand on Twilight's shoulder. "It's okay Twilight. I don't think it's your fault." she said comforting the girl. "But we have to be ready should it attacks."

"Should what attack?" said a voice behind them. Immediately the girls jumped back, their eyes were met with a girl about Satoshi's age. "Oh sorry, I was just curious."

"Who are you?" said Rainbow Dash.

"I'm Kinomiya Sasuka. I'm one of the new kids that transferred from Japan." Hearing those words caught Rarity's attention.

"JAPAN!?" said the fashionista, she took out a note book and pen. "Tell me everything about Japan darling, mostly the fashion! I've been wanting to create yutakas and kimonos since I saw that movie."

"Not to be offensive or anythin' but what in tha heck is a Kimono?" asked Applejack.

The Fashionista beamed with excitement. "I'm glad you asked! It is a Japanese dress, it is mostly used now a days for ceremonies and cosplaying!" she said excitedly.

"You seem to be a big fan of my country." said Sasuka. "You guys were talking about an attack?"

"Yeah! Mostly some big meanie comes to our school to cause mayhem, destruction, and mostly bad things." said Pinkie, Soon she appeared next to Sasuka but was hanging upside down.  "I'm Pinkie Pie by the way, nice to meet ya!"

"How do you do that?" said the new girl obviously perplexed at Pinkie's abilities.

"Ask the writers!" she said as she got down from......whatever she got down from.
