Mind Benders

"Ugh, I'm boooored!" Twilight Sparkle, an alicorn princess, groaned from her throne in her newly formed crystal castle. Her face was partially buried in 'Magical Beasts and Where Found', a book she had obtained the week previous and had finished reading it an hour or so before. "Well why don't you read a book then darling?" A white unicorn with a fabulously styled purple mane suggested. This was the beautiful Rarity representing the element of Generosity. In fact all of the ponies in the castle had an element assigned to them. Twilight Sparkle was the Princess of Friendship and representing magic. There was a shy yellow pegasus with a pink mane draped next to her face named Fluttershy who bore the responsibility of Kindness, an orange earth pony who you could tell worked on a farm by her brown hat with freckles and a bunched up yellow mane was called Applejack because of her destiny as an apple farmer and was Honesty. There were also two other ponies: Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. Pinkie Pie was pink all over and had no wings or horn, therefore she was an earth pony, her hair bouncy and her eyes bright. Anyone who talked to her would be greeted with a ray of sunshine from the element of laughter herself. Rainbow Dash however was different, being a Pegasus and a very fast one at that. She had a light blue coat and her hair had all sorts of colours. She really was a rainbow! She would never let her friends down and, as such, she was loyalty, with an element to match. These ponies were known as the Mane Six and had been known to have defeated many villains as a result of their true friendship. They had even reformed some into becoming better characters who contributed to the harmony their land, Equestria upheld. "I've read them all already Rarity! Even our new library is emptied of new reading material." The princess sighed heavily and lifted her head. She was purple with a cropped purple mane and tail. A knock on the door was heard and Twilight's eyes lit up. Something to do! As her dragon friend Spike opened the door she was confused. There was a unicorn with a minty green mane with streaks of white that reminded her of a pony called Lyra Heartstrings and a dark blue coat. Her eyes were a bright red, a glaring colour. She'd never seen this pony before. Behind her was a familiar face that made her scowl. That pony had the same coat as the unknown pony and a silver mane, with a horn included. She also had a wizard styled hat and cape. "The Great and Powerful Trixie!" She yelled, rolling her r in a spectacular manner. Twilight sighed and said, "What are you doing here?". She was bearing a bored expression at the mare, who was obviously egotistical. "You're not happy to see me? How shocking!" Trixie said in mock surprise. Twilight rolled her eyes and the other ponies did the same, or at least similar. The other pony closed her eyes and said quietly. "Ms. Lulamoon would prefer that you would show a little more kindness to her great prescence." Her voice was rather quiet and slightly annoyed. Trixie smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Limelight. So you see, we're here to help you with your learning about friendship!" Twilight was surprised. Trixie had been humiliated by Twilight in the past because her showing off caused her downfall. She had boasted about destroying an Ursa Major but when an Ursa Minor terrorised Ponyville, she had been left helpless and scared. If Twilight had not sent the Ursa back home, Trixie would have been eaten but, being the hero of the hour, Twilight had saved her flank and the rest of Ponyville. "You... help me?" Twilight was heavily suspicious of her and it grew even more so when this Limelight pony said. "Are we ready for it Trixie?". The other unicorn smirked before laughing. A purplish aura floated around her horn and at the same time Limelight's horn glowed... Gold? Usually their magic was the same colour as their eyes. There were specks of glitter in the magic and their magic shot out lasers which combined and twisted together into a beam that shot the other six ponies.  The attacking ponies magic eventually subsided and they smirked and the ponies from before's eyes went white and then they disappeared into what was going to be their new lives with new friends.
