They make the day and Days prior to those worth waiting and cerebrating for. Everyponies family have they own traditions to past it down to the new generation.

But the new generation always willing to put a twist on them and the Royal family is no exception. Even since Luna return from her exile on the moon. Celestia and the rest of the family has make a very seasonal solstice holiday cerebration called the winter moonlight festival. Similar to the Summer sun celebration,but is to honer the princess of the night and bring forth the longest night of the year. This is the way celestia make up for her sister unappreciated night which most of the subject tend to slumber through.

While on most days that the ponies play in the sun and sleep in the night. On the day of the winter moonlight celebration, The most ponies will sleep the day in preparation of Luna lovely moonrise.
