Chapter &i& 'The Prologue'
In the Undying Lands, Manwë looked down at the former guardian of Middle - Earth, Saruman the White.
"Saruman the White, you disobeyed the Council Of Valar's mission to you. Do you understand the seriousness of your betrayal?" Manwë asked, looking down at Saruman with a neutral look, but in his eyes was a powerful anger and dissapointment.
"We couldn't have been able to do anything, My Lord. Sauron was too powerful. And the halflings didn't stand a chance against the power of the One Ring!" Saruman shouted angrily, certain of the fact that Middle-Earth had already fallen.
"Is that so?, Well, what I've seen tells a different story." Manwë told Saruman, whose annoyance turned to confusion.
"I don't believe I follow you, Manwë" He said, mouthing the name with venom in his voice.
"Believe it or not, Sauron has already fallen. The Hobbits were able to destroy the One Ring, alongside with Sauron. One of them, I believe it was Frodo, will be coming here in about four years with his uncle and Gandalf the White." Manwë informed Saruman, who wasn't believing what he just had heard.
"But my Lord, how could it be possible? They are mere Hobbits, they couldn't possibly avoid Sauron's army and the Ring Wraiths!" Saruman shouted at his Lord.
Manwë chuckled to himself, mostly because of Sarumans close mindedness, and his amusement.
"Because, Saruman, the Hobbit's strength isn't in their physical selves, but their spirits. They don't give up, unlike you" He added a glare in Saruman's direction, making him back off a bit "And they never lose hope. They are able to see a light in the night, see the sunrise before anyone else, and that's what makes the Hobbits such a strong people."
"And as to add, your betrayal has left the Council very dissapointed. But we will not kill you. We will give you a chance to reform, and live in peace and harmony."
"And what if I fail or don't agree to this?" Saruman asked.
"Then you will experience a most painful and slow death." Manwë calmly said.
Saruman, as the coward he was, didn't want to die. "I accept this task, but on one condition. I want the Orthanc to come with me." He said, although a bit scared of what he was going to find.
"Very well, you may have the Orthanc with you" In Saruman's eyes, an evil look appeared "But you will not be able to create any Uruk-Hais in it. ¨
At this, Saruman became disappointed, but hid it almost perfectly. Almost.
"Why did you look disappointed, Saruman? Were you going to try and betray me again?"
"No my Lord. But I have one last question. What is the name of this world you're throwing me in?"
Manwë chuckled a bit and started the teleportation spell. "Equus."
Right after Saruman heard this, the world went white as he felt the powerful pull of the spell.
