Developing Feelings~ Sky Jayne
Fluttershy slumped at her door, her pink mane falling everywhere. Angel bunny was soon at her side, searching for the carrots in his owner’s saddle bag.
“Why did I say that?” Fluttershy muttered. ”No, why didn’t I say that? I must have sounded so stupid.”
She stood up, shook her saddle bag off, and walked towards her couch. Recalling the previous scene outside her cottage, with a certain blue, rainbow maned pegasus.
“’Sorry Rainbow Dash, but I have to brush my sofa?’ That’s the most ridiculous excuse since ‘look there’s a moose!’”
She flipped onto her back and stared at the ceiling.
“Then again, why am I avoiding her? She’s so caring, and protective, kind of ru-“
She stuffed her hoof in her mouth before she could finish the word. Angel bunny, successfully finding his carrot, jumped up next to Fluttershy to listen some more.
"I just feel so nervous and light headed, like if I move I’ll fall to my doom, but only around her! What do you think Angel?"
Angel bunny shrugged as if to say ‘Maybe she stank.’
“Angel, don’t be rude. Either way it’s bedtime. Maybe now I can relax my head But there has to be somepony who can help, but also somepony who, can keep secrets. I’ll think about it in the morning.”
Rainbow Dash’s eyes were still open, staring at Fluttershy’s cottage.
“This just became number one most awkward flight I have ever had.”
Her face fell into the soft cloud she was sitting on.
“’Hey Fluttershy, maybe tomorrow you could go blah blah um, come watch Wonderbolt training?’ Who says ‘blah’ in an invite?”
She flipped onto her side.
“But whenever I’m around her, I feel like when Discord took my wings! I can’t fly, I’m grounded. But she’s so innocent and sweet, and be-"
“She slapped herself in the face before she finished.
"Maybe I should go home and sleep, maybe I could get some honest advice from somepony.”
Fluttershy trotted towards the Sugar Cube Corner, keeping her face down in case Rainbow Dash flew by.
She had decided to see Pinkie Pie, as she was very serious when it came to Pinkie Promises.
Little did she know, the very pony she was hiding from was just across the street from her.
The blue pegasus had made her decision, she would ask Apple Jack, and at least she could give an honest answer.
The two ponies where mixing in their thoughts when the oh so cheesily bumped into each other.
“Oh, I’m sorry, R-rainbow Dash.” Fluttershy mumbled, hiding behind her mane.
“I-it’s cool, no worries, heh.” Rainbow Dash nervously rubbed the back of her mane, her eyes darting away, looking for a blind-spot where she couldn’t see her.
“Great, the onepony I wanted to avoid.” She thought.
“Just heading to Apple Jacks for uh, trainning.” She laughed. “How about you?”
“Uh, I’m g-going to help Pinkie t-to, um, make cupcakes.”
“Cool. See you around then.”
“Sure.”
The two turned their heads and walked away. And at the exact same moment, they thought the same thing.
”That was close.”
Fluttershy slammed the door behind her, she wandered into her room.
Angel followed closely behind, curiously.
"Angel," Fluttershy whispered calmly. "I know you're there."
Angel tapped his foot, he picked up a magazine from the ground and pointed furiously at a photo of a salad.
"No!" Fluttershy yelled, collapsing onto the floor. "It's so confusing!" She was sobbing. "I don't-I can't decide. There's something wrong with me! I just-I don't know what to do!"
Angel silently put down the magazine, and hopped over to Fluttershy.
He snuggled his nose against her hoof.
"Thanks, Angel," she said, as a smile plastered across her face. "I'm sorry for being such a baby,"
Angel shook his head, 'You're not a baby!'
"I guess you're right," she replied, closing her eyes. She let the last couple of tears flow down her cheeks as she grabbed a tissue box.
"I have to go," she said, finally. "I'll be back soon!"
Fluttershy walked to the shops. One hoof in front of the other.
The lettuce shop.
"Excuse me?" Fluttershy asked. "May I have five bowls of lettuce?"
"Sure," Ms.Letti said. "That'll be seventeen bits!"
Fluttershy handed her the bits.
Tomato Shop.
"Three tomatoes, please!" Fluttershy said.
"Five bits,"
And it went on.
"Here Angel," Fluttershy said, handing him his salad. "TAKE it."
After a few days of sitting on the couch and doing nothing but thinking about Rainbowdash, Fluttershy decided to take a walk.
So did Rainbowdash.
Rainbowdash walked along the path to Fluttershy's house. She gasped when she saw Fluttershy.
"Oh! Hi Rainbowdash," Fluttershy's mane flowed over her right eye as she tried to stay focused.
"Take this-" Rainbowdash yelled. She handed her a note, and glided off into the sky, far, far away.
Fluttershy opened the note.
Dear Fluttershy,
Hi, it's me Rainbowdash. I'm sorry for acting weird for the past few days. I'm not so sure what's going on. I think I like some pony..maybe Rarity..or some pony! I don't know how I feel! And I'm sorry if this is weird for you.
XXXX ~Dashie
Fluttershy knew that when Rainbowdash put her name as Dashie, things were about to get real!
