//-------------------------------------------------------// Our Past -by Sparkletop Rainbows- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Tell me //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Tell me Just yesterday, Sonata declined our offer to reform. After that event, everyone was quiet. Utter silence followed everywhere we go. Since Applejack was stuck with farm chores. Rainbow Dash was practicing for a soccer match, Fluttershy was visiting her cousin for some kind of animal emergency, and Pinkie Pie went to visit her own family for a family emergency, that just left me and Rarity. Rarity said we should visit her boutique, since she'd made some new dresses that she wanted me to see. The boutique wasn't open yet. "Here we are!" Rarity opened the door. "Welcome to carousel boutique. It looked like an exact copy from Rarity's boutique from Ponyville, except for a few changes. "This is the Midnight Moon, it has been quite popular lately. The dress was absolutely stunning! The long dress had a beautiful color of the midnight sky with the shimmer of a thousand stars. The sparkles twinkled in the sunlight. The white silk gloves that went with the dress was elegant, and made a great touch to the dress. There was a silver moon necklace and earrings that matched the dress too. The glass high heels were creative, the glittering midnight high heels looked like they were put in glass. "It's beautiful, Rarity!" I said, admiring the dress. A proud expression crossed her face, but suddenly disappeared. "Twilight, can I ask you something?" Rarity asked. "Sure" I replied. "Well, no offense darling, but your reason to only reform Sonata was well, unreasonable. You've reformed Discord before, and he was born as a spirit of chaos. Why didn't you do the same for Aria and Adagio? It would convince Sonata to come on our side, too," Rarity said. "Well... I..." I began. I stopped there, but Rarity looked at me, expecting more. I tried to divert the topic. "You know what, maybe we should answer this question later. We better start practicing," I said. Rarity looked at me suspiciously. I knew that it was obvious that my nervous expression displayed on my face. "But you won't have time to answer my question. You only have one hour to stay here before you leave. We won't see next week until movie night," Rarity pointed out. I pretended to ignore the question. "Hey Rarity, how'd you feel the high heels into the glass?" I asked, hoping she'd forget , and answer my question. Rarity pulled my arm. Then, I knew she was serious. But I didn't want to talk about it, especially since I have to leave in an hour. Rarity's eyes pored into mine. It made me a bit uncomfortable. I never knew she wanted to hear about it so badly. "Twilight, you can trust me, i'm your friend. Tell me what's made you so worried," Rarity said. I knew she was my friend. But this is something private that even my friends can't know about. At least not until I get over it. "Rarity, I feel really uncomfortable right now, so can we please just forget about it?" I tried to escape this conversation. "Twilight, I have to know, I'm you friend, and it's my job to help you," Rarity said, giving me an encouraging smile. I know she's the element of generosity, and that she cares about me, but this is really starting to get on my nerves. "Please, Twilight. Let me help you, tell me what's going on," Rarity said. Obviously, she wouldn't let go so easily. That's when I totally lost it, and screamed, "NO, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Rarity looked like she had just seen a ghost. Both shock and fear displayed on her face. I gasped, I felt so awful and bad right now. I'm being a horrible friend. "I didn't mean to...I...I," I stuttered, trying to find the right words to explain everything. I sighed, and finally said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." I looked ashamed. Rarity looked at me with a smile. "It's alright, darling. This is all my fault, I should't have pressured you so much." "No, it's my fault. I should've told you, and your my friend," I said, taking the blame for myself. "I guess I should tell you, then." "Well," I began. "Me and Aria and Adagio had a hard time, and I'm really not ready to let go of the past. It's just hard for me," I reply. I knew soon enough that Rarity would be asking all sorts of questions about it, since I never told anyone about this. Not even my former mentor or friends. "You knew them before?!" Rarity gasped. She waited for me to say something, expecting more. A nervous expression displayed on my face.  I took in a deep breath, and looked directly into the twinkling eyes of my curious friend. "Something horrible had happened before," I said grimly. "It all started when..."
