In ancient Equestria, as Canterlot is being built there is no strong singular ruler, as whispers of the sisters and the newly emerging canterlot rode on the wind to isolated towns and villages. So too did the reports of changelings spreading across the country, consuming town by town. Most ponies began to search for this "Canterlot" in a final attempt to cling to some shimmer of hope in these testing times.

Thunder crescent, a bat-pony. Is taken by the changelings vows to reunite with his son, no matter the cost. Finding his way out of the changeling stronghold, surviving the hordes of changelings that lurk around every corner and shadows that watch his every move.

Joining a small group he must decide what is more important the group or his family.

He must play his cards close to his chest and act carefully or else he may never see either, ever again.
