The two of us are currently in stone, where we were pinned against each other (literally)  do to the princesses of bitchiness Celestia. One thousand years ago We went to a comic con cosplaying as a black, and white lanterns, we made the outfits ourselves but couldn't afford rings. We were walking at the con, until Elizabeth saw a booth with a black, and white lantern battery cells, She pulled me over to admire the craftsmanship of the replicas. “Wow” I said as we examine them. “You want me to buy them?” I asked Elizabeth. "Heck yeah I want to buy them." She answered. I smiled at her attitude, as the owner of the stand came over. He was a big guy with a blue overcoat. “How much, for the two battery cells?” I asked him. "I'd say about... 20 bucks each." He answered. I dug into my pockets, and pulled out 40 dollars, and handed it to him. "I see you don't have power rings, well that's a shame, but I might have some in this box," he said as he pulled out the box he was talking about. "And I like the costumes so I'll give these to you, free of charge." “Dude, you da best.” I was d happily, as we took the rings, and put them on. "Wow, these things are awesome, they look so realistic too." Elizabeth said with eagerness in her tone. “Yeah, these are awesomely realistic.“ I said as the two rings began to glow. “Wow, they even glow.” "Wait something's not right, I feel... weird." She said as she fell down into unconsciousness. I watched helplessly as Elizabeth fainted, I turned to the booths owner. “What's, going on!!” I asked frantically as I to begin to fall into darkness. "Well I can't tell you much, but have a nice trip." He said as he waved his hand, and I fell into complete darkness. I saw nothing but blackness in every direction, I couldn't move but I could still hear a voice in the darkness. “Alexander, you are no longer among the living, I am death hand, I am your master. You will do as I say, your girlfriend is now a white lantern, and your enemy, she will never accept you. You must kill her.” the voice/death hand said. I was in shock, I was dead, and Elizabeth was a white lantern! I was supposed to kill her! “Never! I will never harm Elizabeth I don't care if she doesn't accept me , I won’t, I will never in a million years harm her!” I screamed. “We will see; I have a bet for you then, I'll let you use the black lantern ring when you are alive, however if you do harm her when you are alive ,YOU WILL WORK FOR ME FOREVER!!” Death hand yelled. I was contemplating the idea, if I hurt Elizabeth at all while I'm alive, I'll have to be used to create, or help with a new blackest night. “Deal, no matter what, I WILL NOT HARM HER, OR ANYONE THAT IS ALIVE, I WILL BE A BETTER LANTERN THAN YOU!!” I exclaimed before the world became bright. I awoke in the middle of a forest, and I noticed the black lantern battery cell. “Ring, how much charge do you have?” “This unit has 1.0% charge, recharging recommended, speak the oath.” “Mothers cry, and infant's wail Hearts of the living are our holy grail Darkest night hear my cry The dead shall rise, the living die!” The ring stated loudly. I heard the oath, that I knew would be a give away for panic. “Is, there a way that I can make my own path?” “Indeed, the bearer of this ring has the opportunity, to make his own path.” I put the ring into the black battery cell, and began my Oath! “In blackest night, in brightest day, beware those who turn to evils way, for without darkness there is no light, here  me now, Shadows might!” I yelled into the sky, the battery cell glowed, and the ring beept. “Power level 100%” it stated. “Good, now locate white lantern power ring.” I said. “Scanning, white lantern ring is currently within the perimeter of the town located on top of that mountain. “ I looked towards the location, and was ready to fly. “I, have also detected green, and blue lantern rings.” My ring stated. So we aren't the only two lanterns on this world, I'm guessing this will be difficult. I thought. “Ring, what is the dominant species, on this planet?” I asked. “The dominant species, is anthropomorphic ponies.” “Ponies!?” I yelled confused. “So, I'm in an anthro version of equestria?”  I was about to fly, but if ponies see me flying without wings, then they would freak. “Ring, can you disguise me, as a minotaur?” I questioned. “I shall comply.” It said shifting my suit into a minotaur disguise. Seeing as minotaurs can't fly, I decided to take the train. on my way to the train station I found the white power battery. In the short amount of time it took to get there, I was able to stop a train robbery without revealing myself. I arrived at the castle, and requested an audience with the princesses, and the one in white. -----Elizabeth's point of view, a few moments before-------- Elizabeth woke up to find herself in a hospital room. She pushed the button for assistance, and to her surprise an anthro pony entered. The nurse instructed her on what happened. Apparently, she had been found unconscious at the entrance. She was now in the middle of the throne room talking with the princesses. “So, what is your name white lantern?” Celestia asked. “Elizabeth.” I answered. “And, what are you doing here?” Luna questions. “To be honest, I'm not sure.” I answered as her ring began to beep ‘black lantern ring detected, searching for this unit.’ It replied. “What, there’s a black lantern here?” I said out loud. “What!!! The black lanterns are back!!” Luna, and Celestia yelled in unison. “What do you mean their back, did this happen before?” I asked. “The black lanterns have been here before when death hand first started to take over with the blackest night. However do to the joint powers of the other lantern corps they were defeated. “ Celestia explained. “But not before taking the life of our mother.” Luna finished. “Well whoever this black lantern is, I'll pummel ‘em to the ground!” I bellowed. “Thank you.” Celestia said as the ring beeped again ‘black ring outside of main throne room doors’ the ring said, as a guard told the princesses about the minotaur. “Bring him in.” Celestia ordered. The guard compiled as they lead this ‘minotaur’ into the room, I asked him the first question as the ring telepathically told me that the black ring was with him. “Who are you, and why do you have the ring of death?!” I asked with steel in my tone. “Do you not recognize me Elizabeth?”  He said surprising me. “How did you know my name?” I asked. “Oh come on my disguise can't be that good.” He said. “Wait, that's a disguise?” I questioned. “Yup, I figured it would be better to disguise myself in order to not scare ponies.” He shrugged. “Then can you do me a favor and take off the disguise?” I asked. “But of course, anything for my lovely girlfriend, ring disengage disguise.” He said as the disguise turns into a site revealing himself, as… Alexander! “Alexander, I thought you were back at Comic Con?” I asked feeling really stupid as I realized what I had asked. “Well, I think the guy who sold us these rings had something to do with why we're here.” He said. “IT DOES NOT MATTER, HE IS A BLACK LANTERN, HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED.” Celestia shouted. “INDEED, YOU SAID THAT YOU WOULD PUMMEL ‘EM TO THE GROUND!! “ Luna said with the canterlot voice. “Hey, don't throw me in with the rest of the black lanterns, I'm still alive.” He said trying to defend himself. “Yeah, that's true.” I said, trying to defend him. “THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE, ALL BLACK LANTERNS ARE DEAD, THEY CANNOT LIVE!!!” Celestia exclaimed. “Unless the ring was with them before it got charged.” He said. “Yeah, so can you trust him for one second?” I asked them. “NO WE SHALL NEVER TRUST A BLACK LANTERN!! THEY KILLED OUR MOTHER, WE WILL NOT LET A SECOND DARKEST NIGHT HAPPEN!!” Luna bellowed. “Can I just point out that what you just said, was kind of… dumb, considering that if he was evil, then why isn't he attack you as we speak?” I asked them. They seemed to ponder this for a moment until Luna got angry again. “We cannot be absolutely sure that he isn't leading us into a false sense of security, trying to get one of the only people that can defeat him on his side.” She spat. “Or he could be telling the truth, and you could just be jumping the gun on your hasty judgement.” I said, I maybe a stubborn knucklehead at times, but I have room for some sort of logic. “Thank you honey, by the way I found your battery.” He said handing it to me. “Thank you Allie.” I said, I knew he hated that little pet name I gave him, since he's now as red as a tomato. “Seriously, in front of royalty, granted it reminds me of the movie aladdin but still.” He tried to protest. “No, we won't listen to this anymore, it's time to make you pay!!!!” Celestia shouted as she and Luna used their magic to pin us back to back. “Well, Alex, shall we beat some sense into them?” I asked. “How, were pinned by their magic.” He reminded me. “We have rings, let's use them.” I said. “True, however if we fight them, we'll be in more trouble.” He said. “Then, what are we supposed to do?” I asked. “Let's let them do what they want for now, we can deal with them later.” He said. “Very well.” I said. “IF YOU TWO ARE WORKING TOGETHER, WE WILL DEFEAT YOU BOTH.” celestia shouted. Luna, and Celestia took out six gems, and sent magic into the purple colored one. “NOW, FACE THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY!!” Luna shouted as we were encased in stone. Present day “Well, at least we'll be freed soon.” I told Elizabeth. “I wish it wouldn't take so long, also how do you know?” She asked. “Simple, this world might be an anthropomorphic version, but it's still equestria.” I told her as the CMC, and their class walked up. “Miss belle, what are those?” A student asked. “Thats a good question Screwball, these two are known as Light and Shadow… why the are named as such is a mystery.” Sweetie Belle said. “Ah think ah remember Ms Cheerilee saying they were a couple of lanterns, whatever they are.” Applebloom said. “I remember her saying that they were a black, and white lanterns. She said that the black lantern controls death itself, and the white controls life.” She said to the students scarring them. “Scootaloo! stop scaring them, do you want to end up covered in cotton candy again!?” Sweetie Belle said while motioning in Screwballs direction. *CRACK* “Well, I was trying to actually teach them something!” Scoots shouted. “Um, Girls?” Applebloom said while backing away from the statues. “What!?” Scootaloo shouted. *CRACK*  *CRACK*  *BOOM!* “Not again!…” Sweetie Belle said before starting to evacuate their students. “FREEDOM!!!” Elizabeth shouted. To be continued… //-------------------------------------------------------// A new hope //-------------------------------------------------------// A new hope The dragon was red with black spikes, he was biped in form and had red energy coming out of his mouth. The dragon roared and sent a blast of red energy into ponyville center causing an explosion. “We have to stop that thing!” Twilight screamed. “Duh… OK Elizabeth, I'm going to draw that thing out of ponyville. When I do put up a barrier to keep it out.” Alexander said telling his girlfriend the plan. “OK… Alexander?” Elizabeth said. “Yes?” He asked. “Please… be careful and… don't die for real.”  She said. “Come on Liz you know me… I'm always careful. “ He said smirking as he flew off and punched the dragon out of ponyville. Elizabeth put-up the barrier and was now watching anxiously as Alexander fought. Elizabeth was so preoccupied with watching Alexander fight that she didn't notice the CMC walk up, until Sweetie Belle spoke up.     “Elizabeth, can you watch over my friends for a bit?” Sweetie Belle said before putting on a ring. “I don't want them to get in any trouble while I go help Alexander.” She added before transforming into a blue lantern and flying through the barrier to give Alexander some backup.     “What just happened…” Scootaloo said as she and Applebloom watched their friend turn into a lantern and fly off. “... Ah didn't know she could do that.” Applebloom said. “Well looks like Sweetie belle can inspire hope in others… interesting.” Elizabeth said. “Well She did get her ring when she earned her cutie mark!” Pinkie said before bouncing away. “...” Was all anyone could say when Pinkie suddenly appeared behind them. “How? does she do that?” Elizabeth said before another explosion erupted and the barrier fell.  In town Sweetie belle used her ring to evacuate the citizens.     “What kind of energy does a blue ring run on?” Rarity asked Elizabeth. “Hope!” Alexander said as he crashed into the ground. “OW!” “Alexander! are you ok?” Elizabeth asked. “No mom I don't want to do my chores.” he said in a daze. “He`s fine.” She stated. {Alexander's POV  a few minutes before. } “Hey ugly!?”  I shouted as I punched the damn dragon to the outskirts of ponyville. “Why are you attacking ponyville?” I asked as Elizabeth's barrier went up. “I should be asking you why you're helping them!? you're a Black lantern you're Evil!” The dragon shouted back. “If you think i'm evil…” I said with my head down until i looked him in the eye. “THEN YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING!” I shouted as I blasted a blast he made. the two of us were evenly matched until I noticed his energy start to drain. “Whats wrong?” “My energy is making him weaker.” a voice said behind me. I looked behind me to see Sweetie belle in a blue lantern outfit. “... I knew you had the blue ring. Ok I want you to evacuate ponyville, I`ll handle him.” I told her as the dragon sent a blast into the barrier shattering it. “But what if you get hurt or worse?” Sweetie said. “DON'T WORRY, I'LL BE FINE! JUST MAKE SURE PONYVILLE'S INHABITANTS ARE SAFE!” I said as I knocked the dragon back outside of ponyville. I watched as Sweetie used her ring to evacuate everypony. What I should have been doing was focusing on the fight at hand. while I was watching Sweetie Belle the dragon blasted me with more red rage and knocked me backwards towards elizabeth, the CMC, and Rarity. Right as I was about to hit the ground I heard Rarity ask what blue rings ran on. “Hope!” I said before I Landed. {Third POV} “Alexander I could use some help!” Sweetie said as she was trying to hold off the dragon that was now near Elizabeth and everyone. Alexander came to his senses to see the red dragon Getting ready to blast his new friends, the innocent ponies of ponyville who accepted him and Elizabeth, the princesses, and most of all his beloved Elizabeth. When he saw what was about to happen his brain snapped. “GET AWAY FROM MY FRIENDS!!!” He shouted sending a blast of black energy straight into the dragon's gut. When Elizabeth saw this, she looked into Alexander's eyes. His eyes were pure black and she could feel a murderous vibe radiating off of him. oh no! She thought as the realization of what happened hit her.  “ALEXANDER!” She said grabbing his shoulders. “ALEXANDER SNAP OUT OF IT, WERE ALL OK HE HASN'T HURT ANYONE DON'T DO SOMETHING STUPID!” Her shouting seemed to fall on deaf ears as he sent a black blast straight to the red ring and forced it off. “NO!!” She cried as the ring left the dragons finger. “What's wrong Liz?” Alexander said with a smirk. “I'm not stupid, I heard you yelling and I came to my senses.” He said smiling. “B-but the dragon…” She trailed off. “Is fine look.” Alexander said pointing to the dragon. Elizabeth looked at the dragon who was now unconscious. “How?” she said. “I thought if you forced a red ring off… the berror would die.” She said looking at Alexander. “There are two ways to take off a red ring without the berror dieing.” Alexander said raising his fingers. “One: the berror of the ring takes it of themselves, and two: taking the ring off by force if there is a Blue lantern nearby to cancel out the red energy.” He informed pointing at Sweetie belle. “Oh… right, thanks for helping alexander Sweetie belle.” Elizabeth said. “Not a problem, I was trying to find away to tell everypony that I'm a blue lantern. I was scared that they would think of me as a monster.” Sweetie belle said. “We would never think of you as a monster. We're your friends.” Scootaloo said. “But I have one question, how were you able to fly?” She asked. “All lantern rings have the ability of flight.” Alexander explained. “It allows its bearer to fly even if they don't have wings, for example Applejack is an earth pony correct?” “Yes ah am… why?” Applejack said. “Because if you, or Applebloom, or big Mac, or any earth pony gets a lantern ring you two will be able to fly.” Alexander said to the astonishment of the ponies around him (except sweetie belle). “So… if ah got a ring ah could fly?” Applebloom asked. “Yes.” Alexander said with a knowing look. “What's with the look?” Bloom asked. “Oh nothing.” He said smirking. “Is… she?” Elizabeth asked Alexander. “... Probably.”  He said smirking even wider.     “probably what?” Applejack asked with a raised eyebrow. “Oh you'll see~” Elizabeth sing songed.     “Lanterns…” Applejack sighed before walking away. As Applejack walked away a thought occurred to Alexander. “Hey I have a question. Where are me and Elizabeth supposed to sleep?” He asked the remaining ponies.     The ponies all looked at each other before scattering without a word. “... that's not nice.” Alexander said pouting. “I thought we were friends… they even cried when I got sealed away.”     “We might have an idea.” Luna said walking up behind them with a mischievous smirk. “Why do I get the feeling this is going to get us watched twenty four seven?” Alexander said to no one in particular.     “You could stay in the chambers next to my sisters, no one uses it and she never goes in there. i can even show you some hidden passages~” Luna sang while wiggling her eyebrows while making her version of a troll face. “Alright, but you'll have to soundproof your room we have a… LOT of time to ‘make up’.” Alexander said smirking while looking at Elizabeth who had a huge grin on her face.     “YES!” She said fistpumping as Celestia and Luna both blushed. “So let's go.” Alexander said as the three of them flew away. he stayed behind for a moment before taking off. As he flew he noticed a small green light flying towards the Apple farm, and go to a certain pony with a red mane and a bow. He smiled as she grabbed the ring and ran off towards home.  ill talk to her about it tomorrow. This is why I like the dark, it doesn't hurt your eyes.”  Alexander was now living at canterlot castle thanks to the kindness and generosity of the two who ironically sealed him, and his girlfriend away in stone.  Alexander looked to where his girlfriend Elizabeth was sleeping, the night before was one of the most fun he'd had in over a 1000 years. He turned to his sleeping girlfriend and began to wake her up. “Liz… come on honey, it's time to wake up.” He said shaking her out of her sleep. “Good morning Alex, did you sleep well?” Elizabeth asked with a small smile on her face as she sat up. “Yes, it was wonderful.” He said kissing her. “So what are you going to do today?” Alexander asked her. “Well… I was going to go to ponyville and see if Rarity or any pony wanted to go to the spa.” She answered him. “Ok then, I  was going into ponyville two, in order to  talk to Applebloom.” He said. “About what?” Elizabeth asked her boyfriend. “When we were flying back here last night I noticed a green lantern ring fly into sweet apple acres.” He said smiling to his not so surprised girlfriend.  “Then I saw it go to Applebloom, she didn't put it on thought she just grabbed it and went home. I'm going to go over there to see if she'll put it on, that way she can go to owa and get trained. I was going to go with her in order to be sure she's safe, i'm also going to bring the red ring with me so i can tell the guardians about Celestia destroying the corp and try to get her off the hook.”  He finished explaining as they left their room and began heading to the dining room for breakfast. “Ok, be safe.” Elizabeth said as they entered the dining room and took seats next to Celestia and Luna. “Hi sunbutt, hi moonbutt.” Elizabeth said happily. Celestia just rolled her eyes and ordered the guards to bring in breakfast. “So… i hope everything was alright with the room? By the reports the staff gave me it was quite the eventful evening.” Elizabeth and Alexander both just smirked and nodded their heads as the food was brought in. Luna began to eat her strawberry pancakes before asking the two lanterns. “What are thee doing today?” She asked. “Were going to ponyville.” Alexander said. “Elizabeth is going to see if rarity or anypony wants to go to the spa, and i'm going to see Applebloom. I believe that a lantern ring came to her and I'm going to see if my suspicion is correct.” He said finishing his chocolate chip pancakes. Luna was surprised to hear that Applebloom might be a lantern, but Celestia nodded in understanding. “So this is what you two meant when Elizabeth told Applejack ‘you'll see~’ correct?” “Yup, ready to go?” Alexander asked Elizabeth as she finished her banana pancakes. “Yup.” She said getting up and going with him out the door to the gardens. The two of them charged their rings and flew off to ponyville. The two of them got to ponyville and said goodbye. Alexander flew to sweet Apple acres  and found Applebloom sitting at the old CMC clubhouse. “Hey Applebloom, what you doing?” Alexander said startling her. “Oh… Hey Alexander. What do you want?” Applebloom asked. “Just came by to see if you had put on your green lantern ring yet.” Alexander said landing. “H-how did you know?” Applebloom asked. “Simple… I saw the ring fly to you.” Alexander replied. “Oh… I'm not sure if i should put it on or not.” Applebloom said. “Oh you're scared.” Alexander said jokingly but to Applebloom she thought he was making fun of her. “NO AH AIN'T I'LL SHOW YA!!” Applebloom shouted putting on the ring. The ring began to glow and emanate a strange energy. “What happenin!!” “APPLEBLOOM!!” The two of them looked to see Applejack and the other elements running towards them along with Elizabeth. “APPLEJACK HELP ME!!” Applebloom said with tears. “No don't.” Alexander said making them stop. “Applebloom, I know you're in pain but you need to bear with it. its how green lantern rings get you to Owa,” After Alexander said this the ring emitted a bubble around both himself and Applebloom. The bubble was beginning to lift off of the ground. “Well this is interesting, why is the bubble around me?” Alexander said as it lifted higher and higher. “APPLEBLOOM!! ALEXANDER YOU BETTER NOT LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO MY SISTER!”  Applejack shouted as they fly off into space. The two of them flew off at an unimaginable speed. They rushed past many: planets, asteroids, and stares until they ended up in a tunnel like space. “Well… I didn't know green lantern rings could perform a hyper jump.” Alexander said as Applebloom was clinging to his for help standing. “G-gr-green lantern rings can`t normally perform hyper jumps?” Applebloom asked. “I thought they couldn't, but it appears that some do.” Alexander said as the tunnel began to disappear. “Looks like we're almost there.” Once Alexander said this the portal disappeared and the two of them were now in the orbit of a great dig greenish planet. “Whoa.” Was all Applebloom said as she stared at the new planet. “Welcome Green lantern Applebloom, To owa the green lantern homeworld.” Alexander said with a smile.
