The Great Red Pony

A distant booming over the night sky of Equestria creates an eerie feel in Baltimare. Rain falls down drop by drop creating small little sounds as the water hits the roads. Mist covers the streets and the only visible things through the mist are the lights shining bright over the city's suburbs.

Very few ponies trot the sidewalks of Baltimare during the night, they city itself is fine, peaceful just like any city in Equestria, but Baltimare just has that distinct "Something is wrong here" feeling.

Lemondrop Sweet and Onyx Bolt have been together for 2 years and are having the time of there life in Baltimare on there honeymoon. But the two ponies had one too many drinks that night and without even thinking and taking a taxi decided to trot back to there hotel.

The two ponies trotted along the dirt path towards there hotel, but the two ponies who were woozy began to lose balance and they found themselves walking through a alleyway.

As the walk a pony watches them from above on the catwalk, His fur was dark red. His mane and tail were pure black and styled slickly. His wings were those of the devil himself, His eyes were bright red and his expression meant business. No smile, no raised eyebrow, just a stern face. He was thinking intently about the two ponies as they continued down the dark alleyway, The pony that watched the couple wasn't just anypony, He was The Great Red Pony, The most prolific Serial Killer in Equestria. Credited with over 20 murders, the EBI have been after him for over two years,  he is at the top of the 10 most wanted list.

The two ponies continued to trot down the alleyway when they heard a loud cracking of glass behind them. They turned quickly around to see that nothing was there. Lemondrop turned around to knife edged into her neck. The Great Red Pony looked at her with deep anger as he held the knife handle in his mouth.

Blood began to run down lemondrops neck and with a quick slash The Great Red Pony took the knife out of her neck. Lemondrop fell to the floor and an echo of her last breath was heard throughout the alleyway. Onyx Bolt only watched in horror as his soulmate died right in front of him. The Great Red Pony had now turned his attention to Onyx.

Without thought Onyx ran to his hearts content until he tripped over himself. His leg was broken and The Great Red Pony was now just 10 feet away from him.

The Great Red Pony put his two front hoofs into Onyx's eyes and began to push into his sockets. Lifting his hooves out left two black holes with no eyes to fill them. Onyx was in to much pain to scream in pain and instead made short burst of sound with his breath. The Great red Pony had the knife handle back in his mouth and was now ready to give the final blow.

Onyx unable to run or scream for help just crawled across the ground in a last ditch effort to get away, hoping somepony was close to help him. But before he could take one last drag with his right front hoof his breath cut out, his heart stopped beating, and his brain shutdown for good.  A knife was stuck in his back penetrating his lower spine. He died slowly and painfully.

The Great Red Pony had done what he needed to do to for fill his inner rage and in a matter of moments he ran off into the Baltimare night without a trace.

Two dead ponies lay there in an alleyway, right in plain sight.

Officer Colt White was doing his morning routine when he found the two ponies in the Alleyway, it was the most brutal and heinous crime he had ever witnessed. as he called for back only two words needed to come out of his mouth for the police to know what had happened. Colt White clicked the radio in and said "He has done it again"

About 30 minutes later two black carriages strolled up into the Alleyway, each of them with the distinctive EBI logo that had become all to familiar in Baltimare these days. Most notably walking out was EBI Special Agent Ivory Justice, Who has lead the EBI Investigation on the murders by The Great Red Pony for nearly 1 and half years, Why only 1 and a half? Because the last lead investigator was the 15th victim to be killed by The Great Red Pony.

"This is much more messier than the last kill, he must have been angry". "Ivory, We need to catch this killer before the next full moon, these killings are ruining public relations with the royal family, Princess Celestia has ordered that we catch this killer before the next full moon or else we are out of a job" Said Duke Bristle, the EBI Commissioner for Behavioral Sciences. "I'll get it done, but we need outside help, not from the EBI" said Ivory. "Than who Ivory?" said Duke Bristle with much confusion and annoyance. "Oh I know just the pony for the job".
