Eternal Decision

Norman's POV

About three weeks passed since the weird dream occurred between me and Flutterbat's mother, at least everything calmed down after that, and I was pretty sure I didn't want anything bad happening to me. however, over the next few days Flutterbat was pretty quiet, she didn't have that bubbly mood to do anything, I bought her a caramel apple which she loved, but when I tried to push it in her mouth to pacify, she hissed at me and stormed away to my room and never talked to me again, I scratched my head in confusion. And after that there was another altercation of awkwardness.

"AHA! Beat ya!" I said rubbing it on her face, Flutterbat wasn't really paying attention, she was fiddling with the controller, staring off in the nightsky.

"Flutterbat, you've been pretty distracted, and you're never distracted when we play on my console. Is everything all right?" I asked, snuggling up to her, massaging her wings, I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, I looked distractedly at our picture on the wall, it was taken by the lake where no one could see us.

"Flutterbat?"

"Hmmm?"

I poked her in the side, making her hiss and she finally looked at me, "What's going on, over the past few days you've basically gone silent. You've never been this quiet before." I batted an eye, brushing back my hair. She opened her mouth revealing her fangs for a reply, but at that moment, our game started again, she growled in frustration as I continued playing by my self.

She was waiting for the right moment and then she uttered the following words that stunned me, "Lets make a baby."

I immediately crushed my right thumb on the right stick and almost choked on my saliva, my body felt flushed from the lack of air. "W-what?"

"Let's have a baby or two. Maybe three. We've been together for several months now, I'ts time we have kids now, seeing you have a normal personality and you've been really nice to me ever since I arrived on your window sill, and me being a Vampire bat and all, and besides. Any of our children will be perfect with our genes."

I gulped, I was only 23 years old, I haven't had to think about kids since my child development class, and even then I had an egg and nothing else to take care of, I sighed deeply and held on to her hands.

"Flutterbat, kids are a major responsibility, and what happens if I'm caught with you, I'll become dead mea-" I wish I didn't say that, I then heard sniffles from her, it was like there was a dark cloud over her head, and I caused it to brew.

"I'm sorry, Yes, we can have a child. In fact, we can have a child soon if you'd like."

Flutterbat's ears lit up in anticipation when I said that, "Oh YAY!" She gave me a gentle hug, arms wrapped tightly around me, shielding me from all the fear of taking care of our child, keeping me safe, quiet, no need for words, just a gentle acceptance of the beautiful Vampire Princess who was going to carry my baby, she released me from her grip and looked deep into my eyes, "But there's one more thing I need to tell you."

"Yeah?" I asked cautiously.

She blushed, "According to my realm, In order for me to bare a child with you, you must become immortal like me, its the only way for our chromosomes to mix."

"H-huh? Become immortal?" This was a huge favor she was asking me, being immortal means no afterlife, watching humans die one by one until you're the only one left, that doesn't seem like the best way to approach that... But on the other hand, I get to spend my eternity to a woman I love with all my heart.

I nodded slowly, Flutterbat hissed in delight, she then led me to the bathroom and inspected my neck, giggling as her cheeks began to heat up, my knees began to shake a little bit from the nervousness.

I was going to be immortal, I was going to be 23 forever...
