Emerald had a lovely life. He had a loving mother, two younger sisters he enjoyed playing with, and a large mansion they all lived in, always running around the large spaces of the various rooms. But one day, it all changed. He had only one job: To watch over his youngest sister, Sapphire, for a few minutes. And he blew it. And now, his mother is gone, he's separated by his other sister, Ruby... Did I mention Sapphire is now evil? That too. And Emerald seems to have found himself as a strange statue that is capable of movement at night... Dafuq?

This is only rated teen for somewhat usual cursing done throughout the story, as well as some mature things that probably isn't suitable for most young ones..

This is my entry for the NaNoWriMo competition, and I decided to go ahead and do this story for it, since we are allowed to use fanfiction and other such sites.

Sorry guys. I got very distracted, so I haven't been working much with this story. This in turn has caused me to not reach my goal. BUT. This does not mean I will quit this story! I will still work on this, although it won't be for NaNoWriMo anymore... *Sigh*
