In the land of Equestria there was a city called canterlot where a young stallion lived. He had a light orange coat, dark brown curly hair, and emerald green eyes. His name was cheese sandwich and he was drawing a picture of a moth. When he was finished he let the moth go free smiling as it flew out the window. Meanwhile when the moth was flying through the city ponies were either working, shopping, or just chatting with other ponies. Two stallions who looked alike greeted each other with a good morning and went on their merry way. A dark blue unicorn stallion with light yellow eyes and wavy light blue and white hair was walking around the city when he heard a loud pony yell " ten more minutes till cheese sandwiches and pinkamena pie's wedding rehearsal!" The blue unicorn turned around and looked at the town crier in disgust and swatted the moth away. He raised an eyebrow when he heard a loud cough coming from a bulky red stallion who was being hooked up to a carriage and began trotting to his employers house as he almost ran over a tall lanky white mare with light pink hair "watch where you're going" she yelled and continued going on her merry way. Cheese sandwich watched as the carriage pulled over in front of his house. The door opened to reveal an off white mare with two toned light blue hair with eyes to match it and was wearing a red and purple flower clip and an ascot to go with it and a light grey stallion with dark grey hair and blue eyes came out of the house. " isn't it a beautiful day silver?" Said coco pommel. "Of course it is my dear." Said silver shill. "Why I can't believe that our son is going to be married." Said coco. "Now Now coco settle down. We're just going to the rehearsal today. Besides he isn't going to be married until the day after tomorrow." Said silver. "I know I know. It's just that I'm so excited for our little boy is finally going to be married." Said coco. "I know my dear I know." Said silver. " and we have to make sure that everything goes as planned." Said coco as she stepped inside the carriage but unfortunately her ascot got stuck. "Oh no my ascot is stuck. and where is cheese? We're going to be late" said coco as silver and Big Macintosh tried to untangle her ascot. Meanwhile across the street two ponies were watching them through binoculars. " ugh costume merchants. It's such a terrible day" said lyrica lilac. She was a light lavender earth pony mare with dark purple eyes and blonde hair. " now lyrica don't be that way" said shooting star who was a white unicorn stallion with blue hair and eyes. He was lyrica lilac's husband. "Why shouldn't I? I mean our daughter has to marry their son the day after tomorrow and it'll be a living nightmare for both of us." Said lyrica. "Ugh I know. The horror. But at least they're rich so that could save us from ending up in the streets." Said shooting. "Yes I know. It's just that why can't our daughter marry somepony else's son? Instead of those costume merchants?" Said lyrica as they went to their empty and dusty safe. " because nopony else has a wealthy son her age in town." Said shooting when a shy looking yellow Pegasus with light pink hair and teal eyes came and dusted off the safe and after she was done dusting the butler a unicorn stallion with a white coat blue eyes and black hair came and covered up the safe with a large portrait of shooting star. Meanwhile lyrica and shooting were walking down the hall looking at a bunch of portraits that looked like shooting. They then stopped at a portrait of a beautiful light pink mare with dark pink hair that was curly. She also had beautiful light blue eyes and was wearing a blue dress with little dark pink ribbons and a hat to go with it. "Ugh our daughter" said lyrica. She was secretly jealous that her daughter was more beautiful than her. "She is so ugly." Said shooting. Pinkamena pie was sitting at her vanity and was gasping because the yellow Pegasus who was the family maid was tying pinkamena's corsets rather tightly. " fluttershy?" She said. "Yes?" Said fluttershy in a shy and quiet voice. " what if cheese sandwich doesn't like me?" Said pinkamena. When fluttershy was about to answer a loud "HA" interrupted her. She and pinkamena turned to see lyrica and shooting in pinkamena's doorway . " please. Him? like you? Now wouldn't that be ridiculous?" Said lyrica in a rather rude voice. " who knows? Maybe he will like her." Said fluttershy who pointed at pinkamena. " thank you fluttershy" said pinkamena. Fluttershy was so kind. She was also pinkamena's only friend and they stood up for each other all the time. They were inseparable and were like sisters. "Silence fluttershy!" Said lyrica. " how dare you speak to her that way? She's my best friend and I don't like it when you talk to her like that!" Said pinkamena in a angry voice. " young lady! How dare raise your voice at me!?" Said lyrica who was glaring at her daughter who glared at her in return. "Well if you don't have something nice to say then don't say it at all!" Said pinkamena. " very well. Fluttershy finish lacing her corsets." Said lyrica. Pinkamena glared at her again. "Please?" Said lyrica. "Now that's better." Said pinkamena. Lyrica and shooting then continued to walk. "Thank you so much for sticking up for me" said fluttershy. "Of course fluttershy. I couldn't let her talk to my only friend like that." Said pinkamena as she gave fluttershy a hug who returned it. Meanwhile when cheese ran into the carriage he looked out the window with a terrorfied face. " my you sure have hooked a beauty this time son." Said silver. " now all you have to do is reel her in your heart my boy." Said coco. " but I'm already reeling in mother. But shouldn't pinkamena pie be marrying a lord or something?" Said cheese sandwich who was really nervous and doubtful in himself. " oh nonsense cheese a beauty like her will be very lucky to have a husband like you." Said coco. " but I've never even spoken to her let alone met her". Said cheese. " well then today's your lucky day." Said coco as they heard a loud cough coming from big Macintosh. " dear I'm so worried about Big Macintosh. After the rehearsal we should take him to the doctor." Said coco who was very concerned for big Macintoshes health. "Alright dear we'll take him to the doctor after the rehearsal." Said silver. Meanwhile in the mansion the butler was dusting everything. " she should know what marriage really is." Said lyrica who was talking to her husband. " yes something that's a waste of time." Said shooting. " indeed. But this wedding must be perfect." Said lyrica as they heard the door bell ring. " ugh. That must be them." Said shooting in a tone of disgust. " may the nightmares begin." Said lyrica. The butler walked up to the door and opened it to reveal three earth ponies. "Come in please." Said lyrica with a fake smile. "Thank you so much." Said coco as they entered the house. " oh my goodness. It's just beautiful in here." Said coco. "Hmph" said the butler. Cheese could tell that they didn't like them very much but he kept his mouth shut. " lord star and lady lilac. Mr shill and Mrs pommel." Said the butler. " are you miss pie?" Said silver. "Why of course not. She's upstairs." Said lyrica. " come follow us because we'll be having tea in the west drawing room." Said shooting as he and lyrica led them to said room. "I just love what you've done with the place." Said coco as she was admiring the scenery. Cheese stayed behind because he wasn't sure about those ponies personalities. That's when he heard the sound of a piano and looked at his hoof on the key. He played again and smiled but it faded when he looked at the room his parents were led in with those other ponies. He looked at the piano again and began to play it. He was playing a beautiful melody. Meanwhile when pinkamena was tying her hair up and put on her hat she just loved wearing. She gasped when she heard the sound of the piano being played and went to see who was playing the piano and almost gasped as she saw a tall handsome orange earth pony stallion playing it. So she walked down the stairs to say hi when he saw her behind him and gasped getting up and almost knocked down the little vase that was on top of the piano. She gasped as well. " oh my gosh I'm so sorry. Please forgive me." Said cheese in a panicked state. "N-no it's okay. I'm not mad. It's just that I'm amazed. Said pinkamena in shock. "By what if I may ask milady?" Said cheese who took a good long look at her. She was very beautiful especially her eyes. " by the way you play the piano. It's so beautiful." Said pinkamena who complemented his unique piano playing skills. " like you" said cheese in a whisper. " I'm sorry but what was that?" Said pinkamena. "T-thank you" said cheese in a panicked state. " you're welcome. I wish I could play the piano but mother won't let me. She says music is a waste of time and improper for a young lady. She says that about everything I love to do." Said pinkamena. " well she doesn't seem nice." Said cheese. " she's not if I could say this word I would. She's a total jerk. Why she even yelled at my only friend fluttershy who is the family maid but to me is anything but a maid. she's the most sweetest person I have known for my entire life and when my mother yelled at her I was so mad I raised my voice at her." Said pinkamena. Cheese looked at her amazed. She this beautiful and sweet mare stood up to her awful mother? He could tell he was already starting to fall in love with her. "Wow. When was this?" He said. "This morning." Said pinkamena. "W-well if it helps. We're getting married the day after tomorrow." Said cheese. "Yes I know. And what a wonderful day it will be. I've always dreamt of my wedding day since I was a filly. I've always hoped I could find someone I was deeply in love with. Someone to spend the rest of my life with. Silly right?" Said pinkamena. "No. Not at all. in fact I find it beautiful like you." Said cheese who was blushing. Pinkamena was blushing too. " T-thank you." Said pinkamena who gave him the little flower from the vase. He took it and sniffed it. It smelled just like her. Beautiful. Until they were interrupted by lyrica. "What in the name of celestia is this!? You two should be at the rehearsal! Pastor discord is waiting. Come at once!" Said lyrica as she led them to the room.
