Beckoning Fingers
Dennis.
Load Full StoryNext ChapterCelestia was sitting on her throne, waiting.
For what?
She doesn't know.
Neither will you.
Maybe, you might know after all?
She hasn't said a word, not even to Luna.
She just woke up, brushed her hair, and rose the sun.
Routine...
She was expecting somponey. Thats it, she was waiting for somponey.
...right?
She can't remember...
She needs to ask Luna.
...but she might be in bed already.
No, she needs to ask.
Celestia got up from her throne, walked down the hallway, and to her sisters room.
She knocked.
"Luna? Can I come in?" Celestia quietly asked through the door.
A grumble could be heard as Luna said...
"Yes..."
Celestia walked in, and waited for her sister to roll over.
"Yes Tia? What is it?" She was half asleep.
"Was there something I had to do today?" Celestia asked.
Luna just looked at her, then placed a hoof on her chin.
"I...I don't know..." Luna rose from her bed, sitting upright.
You both thought for a moment.
Then it hit Luna like a ton of bricks.
"Something about a murder! Fluttershy?" Luna pointed at her sister.
Celestia soon felt like she needed to punish herself for forgetting.
"Yes... that's it. Were meeting the killer in 3 hours to interagate whomever killed poor Fluttershy." Celestia looked down.
Luna also looked down, wondering how a pony's body could be ripped and crushed so easily...
"Do we have the reports?" Luna asked.
"There in the morgue with Fluttershy. We need to study the body first to confirm the reports." Celestia got up with Luna and headed to the hospital...
----interrogation room----
"What is it doing?"
"I don't know... somehow he managed to find the red paint in the drawer."
"He seems happy, almost joyest yet creepy."
The figure turned to the two stallions and smiled.
"Mommy said I shouldn't play with strangers, I could hurt them..."
Those words sent chills down the guards spine.
"Lets return to our post."
"Agreed."
The figure stopped painting and looked out of the window as the guards left.
And smiled.
Celestia walked down with Luna to the dungeons, apparently the human who was in equestria for over 2 months, is now in the dungeons.
Some believe he committed murder on Fluttershy.
She doesn't doubt it.
He always semmed off, but always knew how to hide it. She knew that he was depressed, she knew what he went threw, but he seemed fine in the last couple of weeks here.
That is, untile she told him he couldn't go back to his home, she knew it was a bad idea to tell him.
He cursed at her and ran out the castle, pushing aside guards as they tried to stop him.
He changed from that point on.
He wouldn't talk to anypony, not even Luna, who had a close relashonship.
He lives in a cabin somewhere between Ponyville and Manehatten. But he never told her the exact location.
He was lost, hopeless, he had friends who tried to talk to him, he never spoke.
Then, he finnaly came out, and went to Fluttershys.
That was the last time she saw Fluttershy and...him.
Celestia almost tripped as Luna caught her.
"Are you okay sister?" Luna straightend Celestia.
"Yes I'm fine, just worried."
"About what?" Luna asked.
"About the human, what happened when he went to Fluttershys cottage?"
Luna ponderd this, she walked and thought and nothing ce to her.
"I...don't really know. But whatever happened, it drove him to kill Fluttershy." Luna finished
Celestia hated that word, kill, such a foul sounding word.
They came upon a set of heavy, steal reinforced, concrete doors.
These particular doors can't be opened by magic, so they use cranks and gears to open them.
They we're loud, witch hurt Celestia's ear.
They walked into a room full of crimson red paint. Obviously the kind of paint they we're using to repaint the walls.
Apparently a guard forgot a bucket in the cell, and the human seized it.
It was cold, dark but still visible. And smelled like paint, obviously.
She walked on fresh paint, now having "bleeding hooves".
She grimaced at the thought.
Luna was studying the figures on a wall, very interested and not caring on stepping on paint.
This also got Celestia's curiosity.
She walked over to Luna, who had her horn lit.
"What do you make of this? Its something in his language."
Before, the human teached Celestia his language. The humans particular language happened to be English.
The word written on the wall said "Redrum."
She knew what rum was, the human craved it, but it sounded like a phrase, what did it mean.
"Hello Tia."
She jumped a little as the human himself apeard from thin air.
"Hello Dennis."
The human smiled and brushed Celestia's hair.
She felt uncomfortable.
She knew he had the ability to nullify magic, she was as defenseless as he was.
Luna smaked his hand away.
"Don't need to be so rude Luna, I'm just curious about her hair, always flowing like my soul. But colorful."
She didn't know if that was a complement or an insult.
She stayed quiet.
"We came down here to ask questions-"
"About me killing Fluttershy?"
Luna was cut off and surprisingly, he admitted to doing it.
"Y-yes, that is why were down here." Luna irritably said.
"Well, what do you want to know?"
Was he really this calm and open about this?
"Why did you do it?" Luna said abruptly.
Dennis actually smiled.
"Why? Well-"
He stopped and looked at Celestia.
"Have her leave, then I'll tell you."
Clelestia gave a questioning look to Luna, who had her head down.
She knew something.
"Tia-"
"Its okay, I'll leave."
She walked over to the door and opened it. Giving a last glance at Luna and Dennis before she left.
Luna knew something, didn't she?
