Present day Ponyville
Twilight Sparkle was rudely awakened when an overly holy sunbeam hit her in the eyes. She violently jerked her head to the other direction to avoid it; keeping her eyes closed, she tried to go back to sleep, but just could not even.
'Not going to even bother getting up', she groggily announced to herself. Suddenly, another beam of sunlight hit her in the eyes and she jumped five hooves into the air. Standing next to her, was Spike with a tiny vanity mirror.
"What in the Celestia are you doing Spike?", Twilight screamed.
"I dunno, it seemed like a good prank to me," Spike responded, shrugging his shoulders.
"Well don't do it again", she said.
"Fine..., you're not mad. Are you?", Spike asked?
"I'm not, but...", lighting her horn, Twilight picked up Spike and telekinetically launched Spike out the window at approximately, 2,000 wing power.
Twilight then decided to go back to her bed to get some more rest. Out of nowhere, Rainbow Dash rammed through the wall of the library with Ditzy on her back. They did four aileron rolls through the room and decimated the wall on the other side of the room. Looking beyond the now decimated wall, she saw Rarity walking down the street with at least fifteen obnoxiously large and hideous looking hats on while wearing what appeared to three different clashing dresses. She then noticed an odd purple and lime-green figure on top of the pile of hats on Rarity's head. It consisted of two wiggling claw-like limbs with what looked like a tentacle thingy.
Looking to her right, she saw Rainbow and Ditzy continue their rampage throughout all of Ponyville. She observed that at least forty houses were collapsed and some were randomly floating through the air for no reason whatsoever.
Backing up slowly, Twilight decided to walk downstairs to avoid the normal Ponyville experience that was occurring outside. She tripped on a magazine with a picture of a drunk Fluttershy on the front of it and did several front flips faceplants while going down the stairs. As she lay there at the bottom of the stairs, she thought to herself, 'Why do I even?' She eventually fought off the pain and she heard a 'click' sound. A giant explosion of confetti covered every visible surface in Twilight's peripheral vision.
"PINKIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!", Twilight screamed at the top of her lungs, "WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS?"
Popping literally out of nowhere, Pinkie's head materialized in front of Twilight and exclaimed, "The author has no idea what he is doing, so he's just doing this as filler for the story!" Then she de-materialized and went off to do Pinkie related things.
"Uhhhhhh.....", Twilight sat there for several minutes, absorbing absolutely none of the information. She had a tiny brainfart, but passed it off as Pinkie being Pinkie.
'This day couldn't possibly get anymore random', she was wrong. As a giant explosion sounded off in the distance and the shockwave threw her against the wall. 'Why did I even say that?', she thought to herself. Twilight picked herself off of the wall and walked outside to see what the explosion was. A giant mushroom cloud appeared have of risen from the general direction of the Carousel Boutique. Without thinking any further, she quickly teleported to ground zero. Only to find a very blackened Sweetie Belle with a glass of ash in her hooves.
"I only tried to pour water!" she exclaimed, "but it blew up for no reason."
"Are you okay Sweetie Belle?", Twilight asked.
"Yeah. I'm feeling absolutely fine. Why?" answered Sweetie Belle
"What? How? Whaaaaaa....?", Twilight threw her up front hooves up in frustration and teleported away to let the local authorities deal with the explosion.

Back to Ponyville
Twilight appeared at the front steps of the Friend CastleTM. She saw Spike opening the main doors.
"Spike! Perfect timing, can you go make breakfast?" she asked.
"No, I won't because you threw me out the window almost an hour ago!" he exclaimed.
"Oh yeah... I'm sorry Spike. I won't do it again, I promise. I'll even get you a few of those special gems that you've been searching for a while now." She pulled her best puppy eyes look and directed it all at him.
"Fine, fine, I'll go do it. But! Only if you really promise to never do that again," he said.
"I Pinkie Promise!"
Spike nodded in acceptance and walked inside the castle to the kitchen area, wherever that might be because the layout of the castle wasn't exactly as straight-forward as he had hoped it to be.
Deciding to finally move inside, she went upstairs to the balcony to observe the general activities of that day in Ponyville.
As she opened the balcony door, she expected for everything that happened earlier on in the day to be fixed by now...but NOPE! As she peered over the edge, she jumped back with great haste, it seemed like that the trail of destruction that Rainbow and Ditzy had left behind looked suspiciously appeared to resemble a question mark. A giant, flaming, question mark made out of the remains of many residencies of Ponyville. She heard the ambient sound of angry shouting, screaming, crying, and general chaos occurring. While sitting there, absorbing this information in, she noticed the ambient sounds getting louder. She looked over the edge of the balcony again and saw a large mob with levitating pitchforks approach her castle.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle! Please help us! Rainbow and Ditzy have pulled the last straw! We demand compensation for all the damages she has caused to us over the years!", exclaimed a random pony in the crowd.
"Fear not! I will think of a way to compensate you all, just let me think for a while...", she said nervously. Backing up and closing the balcony doors behind her, she threw her hooves into the air, jumped and flapped her wings, gaining acceleration by flying around the room in loops she arced herself towards the ceiling and busted through it, flying faster than ever before into the air. She slowed down slightly to gain her bearing and flew straight towards Sweet Apple Acres where she knew she could possible find some respite from the crazy events that were occurring that day. Upon landing at the front gate of the farm, she noticed Applejack sitting there in the middle of the field with a cross-eyed expression.
"Nope. Nope. Nope", she said, backing up, she flew back up into the skies and above the cloud layer and promptly screamed, "BUCK IT ALL!"
