//-------------------------------------------------------// There's Something Waiting in the Corner -by Jumphello- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Night She Murdered Somepony //-------------------------------------------------------// The Night She Murdered Somepony Clip clop, clip clop... The sound of a pony trotting reflected from one wall to another inside the somber room, anxiously waiting for the other pony, who was currently lying unconscious on the stained floor, layered with grime and mucus, to awaken. Although the room was pitch-black, the disturbed pony continued to trot casually in a circle around the other pony, whose mane was a collection between different shades of velvet. The color of the ponies mane matched the ponies tail, that was curled into a little ball like the rest of her body, among the little strands of hair sticking out of her mane. "Twilight... Twi--light..." The pony who was eerily trotting around the room hummed, getting rather annoyed with the purple pony. The pony clenched her teeth together, making a deafening scraching noise with her mouth. "U-Uh?" Twilight responded, her eyes fluttering open, finally awake and disoriented. "W-Where am I?" She didn't receive an answer. Twilight looked around, but all that she could see was the empty void that surrounded her. Her ears perked, as she heard the sound of somepony softly trotting, not too far away. "Hello? Do you hear me? I-I--" Twilight pleaded, "I know somepony is in here with me, please--reveal yourself." There was another measure of silence. Twilight became irritated, yet remaining unnerved, regarding the silence. She steadily regained balance, forcing her hooves to lift her body-weight, no matter how much her legs were shaking from fear of the unknown. The trotting halted. Twilight froze. "Twi-light..." A sickly voice bemoaned, a echo shortly following. Twilight's neck snapped in the direction of the voice, her mouth shut tight. Her tongue was even shaking. The gears in Twilight's brain began to maneuver, the voice sounded familiar to her, but she couldn't put her hoof on it. Why can't I remember? Twilight strained, forcing her eyes shut, trying her best to identify the morose voice. Suddenly, a light bulb inside her brain activated, she had recognized the voice. However, in turn, she wish she didn't. "I *remember** you..."* The ghost-like pony hissed, "You took everything I had--You *shattered** my entire existence.*" The scene Twilight was experiencing was unreal, what was even happening? This whole time, she was too afraid to illuminate the room. If she were to, she wouldn't know where her captor was positioned, and she wouldn't have the time to react. Twilight's eyes bulged out of their sockets as the enraged pony began to laugh. "It was a joke. Wasn't it?" "WASN'T IT?!" The pony shrieked. Twilight leaped out of her skin, the opposing pony making a screech similar to a banshee's. "You don't know what's it like, having everything taken away from you in a blink. Actually, having everything taken away from you through trickery and deceit. Have you ever shown mercy on somepony, Twilight Sparkle? " The pony spat.  "I'd. Be. Surprised." Before Twilight could retaliate, a blinding beam of light plunged the room into eternal illumination. Twilight squinted as she saw a figure standing adjacent from her. Suddenly, she was struck on the head by something hard, she fell to the ground, a new bruise forming on the top of her skull, as well as the top portion of her horn breaking off. Twilight felt a warm substance trickling down her forehead. It was Blood. Twilight had to hold back the urge to vomit, before she looked up at the monster standing before her. Twilight could barely see the object, but she realized quickly that it was a brick, held by none other than Trixie, Twilight's adversary from a long time ago. Trixie was wearing a dull cloak with multiple pockets that could've held any item that was tiny enough to fit inside. Trixie's voice became evident, "So, Twilight, how has life been for you? I hope it's going great so far." Trixie spoke with fake-sympathy. "I had been meaning to talk to you, but I wasn't able to track you down because I was taking care of a few things, including finding a new home to live in. My life has been very stressful since our last encounter, as you can imagine. Especially after you RUINED my life, and seized everything I've ever had. But now, I am here to return the favor." She smirked, observing the brick she was holding with her magic. "Now your friends won't have to live with your constant babbling about friendship." "T-Trixie, why?" Twilight cried, gaining enough energy to sit up. "I-I didn't mean to take everything from you. It was supposed to teach you that-that," She stuttered, a few tears trickling down her cheeks, petrified of what Trixie was planning. "Teach me what? How I should leave Ponyville so that you and your friends could walk together on your rich soil? When there's a pony simply trying to earn a few bits to live a life like the rest of you." Trixie growled, fiddling with the brick, getting rather annoyed with the extent of the conversation. "I guess ponies just don't care." Trixie sighed as she lazily tossed the brick onto the ground. Twilight would've attacked her by now if she wasn't so dizzy, and bleeding so much, and if her horn was refurbished back to what it used to be. "Now, let's see," Trixie mumbled as she levitated a intermediate object from the cape she was wearing, a pair of tongs. "Since I already cracked a section of your skull, it won't be too hard removing the horn..." Twilight's eyes widened, contemplating if Trixie really was going to remove her horn. As Trixie approached her with a malicious grin on her face, Twilight knew that she was going to at least try. ""Trixie..." Twilight whimpered, shifting away from the pony with heinous intentions. "I'm so sorry that I hurt you the way I did, I know that I can't relate to how you feel, but at the time where I tried to compel you to leave Ponyville, I--I didn't know that it would affect you financially." "Of course you didn't know," Trixie smirked, "I mean, it isn't like you haven't been penniless before." Before Twilight could respond, Trixie bucked her over the head, but not as hard as when she swung the brick at her. Twilight fell over, back to a lying position, as Trixie placed on of her hooves to Twilight's neck, holding her firmly in place. Twilight's skull began to ooze once more, as one of her eyes became blackened by the blow she had received. "T-Trixie..." Twilight breathed as Trixie pressed down on her lungs, the oxygen she'd stored being forced to release. "Stop--" "Why? Why should I stop? You know what, Twilight?" Trixie growls, peering down at Twilight's beaten features. "I don't want to stop. I'll never stop." Actually, a bundle of thoughts were swarming around in Trixie's mind in the present. As a matter of fact, Trixie was beginning to regret killing Twilight, she doubted her strength.  But when she thought about how much she'd lost from being exiled from Ponyville and that Twilight was mostly behind it, she'd forget that she had ever felt that way. Twilight screamed in agony as Trixie bent down, and wrapped the pincers around the remaining center of Twilight's horn, pulling at it with all of her might. As the root of Twilight's horn was ripped apart from her skull, a sprinkle of blood shot from the now gaping hole in Twilight's head. Trixie couldn't imagine the pain Twilight was feeling at the second, but knowing that Twilight was in any pain at all, satisfied her. Twilight looked up at Trixie with pleading eyes, begging her to stop, since she couldn't speak because the pain was overworking her entire system. All Twilight could do now was stare at Trixie, like she'd been paralysed. "Aw, you should see how pathetic you look right now." Trixie chuckled, before bursting out into laughter. "It's like the roles are switched. Isn't it?" Twilight didn't answer, but instead let out a tiny sob when the pain began to abate. "What? You're sad because you lost your little horn? Oh, it's not like you needed that anyways." She continued to tease Twilight, "Since you're amazing, you can obviously defeat me without your precious horn." She paused, "Oh, wait, this means you're now a vulgar earth pony!" Twilight glared at Trixie as she once again, sunk into laughter. "Hmm," Trixie hummed as soon as she finished laughing, thinking of what she could do to Twilight now, but then, something suddenly clicked inside her mind. "I think you got what you deserved." Twilight felt her heart jump, but before she could feel anymore better, Trixie conveyed, "You know, when I was trying to make a living, I was still learning how to use real magic, instead of 'petty little magic tricks', by which I was told by your friends. Anyways, of course I wasn't an earth pony, I still had the natural beauty of a unicorn, but at that time, I felt like I was useless, like I was just another earth pony. And for a long time, I lived on, traveling, trying to earn bits. I didn't have a real home. You're lucky you live in that cruddy library." "Twilight, have you ever thought about moving?" Trixie sneered. "W-What?" Twilight spoke up, the pain subsiding for now. "N--" "Let me guess, no. Am I right?" Trixie snarled, picking up the bloody brick with her magic. "You couldn't move because of your friends. But you know what? I think the 6 of you need some space." "DON'T YOU DARE DO ANYTHING TO THEM!" Twilight shouted, startling Trixie, causing her to drop the brick onto the ground. "THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU!" "Are you kidding me?" She snickered, gripping Twilight with her magic, and pulling her towards her. "I'm just saving them for last. You didn't think I'd spare them did you? I mean, they're the ones who did the real damage." Painful tears stained Twilight's cheeks as she steadied herself on the ground, and then sprinted full-force, aiming at Trixie. Trixie snickered as she easily dodged Twilight's sloppy attack, using her magic to levitate Twilight, and throw her against the wall, a large CRACK noise echoed across the room. As soon as Trixie let go of Twilight, she fell onto the ground. Most of the strands in Twilight's hair were ripped apart, and draped across the room, along with multiple puddles of blood spots, especially where Trixie was standing. Twilight began to lose consciousness as her eyes forcefully shut. "Too bad--it had to end--this way. Oh well, you can stay---down here until I return with another one---of your friends. Goodbye, Twilight deadbeat-- Sparkle." As Trixie sent a farewell, Twilight's hearing worsened. Trixie's sentences were muffled for her. And that  was when Twilight blacked out. //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Identity //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Identity After Trixie had slaughtered Twilight, she trotted gracefully up the staircase from where Twilight's small frame was collapsed and blood-stained on the ground. A little smirk returned onto her face, it was not like it had ever left. Trixie had said before that she didn't have a home, but that wasn't entirely true. When Trixie was continuously wandering along the outskirts of Ponyville, she managed to discover a tiny cabin in a nearby forest. She was happy to find that it was deserted, and that there were no neighbors that could've tried to take notice to her 'activities.' Since nopony came to visit that part of the outskirts, she decided to reside in the cabin. Trixie would actually visit Ponyville sometimes, and it wasn't only the periphery. She would be able to be recognized as another newcomer, since she'd learned that cloaking spell. However, she could only activity the cloaking spell if the pony she was disguised as did no longer exist. And from there on, Trixie began to abduct, and murder anonymous ponies just for their identities. Her main goal was to hunt down the mane 6, and return the hatred and bitterness they'd conveyed towards her. Trixie didn't plan to kill her clueless targets, but to instead torture them in ways they'd tortured her. But instead of mentally, she tortured them physically. Well, other than Twilight Sparkle. Trixie had no idea how sensitive Twilight was when it came to mental torment, which came out to be a pleasant surprise. This would mean that Trixie could torture Twilight in more ways than one in the time she held her hostage. Although, Trixie had another plan when it came to Twilight's friends, for they had upset her more than Twilight ever did. The anger that was hidden inside her heart urged, and craved to be released, but that was saved for one pony in particular. Trixie frowned to herself as she remembered that she had to take a shower after 'toying' with Twilight. She could easily detect the dreadful smell of stained-blood covering her coat, which made her gag. She did enjoy torturing Twilight, but she surely didn't enjoy the aftermath. "I never knew the smell of a rotting body would be this unbearable," Trixie mumbled under her breath, " This is just disgusting." Nevertheless, Trixie knew she had to get used to this smell if she wanted to persecute the other ponies she hated so dearly. And when she did, she would definitely make sure to keep them conscious much longer than the time she had with Twilight. As Trixie entered the shower, and adjusted the shower drain, the blood left on her hooves began to go down the drain, like little mice, burrowing under the ground to hide from a predator. Trixie grinned as she thought of the mice, imagining them as the ponies that she intended to slaughter, and then she imagined herself as the predator, looking down on the innocent mice, her face showing loathing and hate. She wasn't going to support these mice, oh no, she was going to eat them.Swallow them. She imagined herself, drinking the poison and grime that lingered inside of them like it was a cup of her favorite drink. She yearned for their agonizing cries, their pleads of mercy, and most of all, the happiness they'd stored, being drained away in her stomach acid. Trixie didn't realize that she'd been standing under the shower-head, letting the small water droplets pelt against her mane. She blinked, departing from her crazed imagination. She remembered that showering wasn't a place to think about butchering her fellow kind, but to instead calm herself, letting the ideas she enjoyed the most to consume her mind. But the problem was, these were her ideas. This is what she wanted. More than anything. ~~~ Rainbow Dash was grinning excitedly as Pinkie prepared her, 'Super-Duper-Flavorful Cake Surprise!' as she said it, or SDFCS for short. "Pinkie Pie, dear?" Mrs. Cake asked out of the blue, as she emerged from the top of the staircase. Pinkie pie smiled up at her, her eyes darting from the cake sitting in the oven, to Mrs. Cake's face. "Yes?" She asked, tentatively. "Are you sure you can handle the uh," Mrs. Cake paused, trying to remember the name of the delicacy. "SDFCS?" Pinkie Pie disrupted, hopping impatiently in place as the cake continued to bake. "Yes, yes," Mrs. Cake continued, "This is the first time you've ever baked it. I know I showed you how bake it properly yesterday, but I don't know Pinkie Pie, this could end up in a disaster for all I know." "Oh, don't worry about it," Pinkie Pie assured her, "I mean, how many times have I been unsuccessful when baking a cake?" "We--" "0!" Pinkie interrupted once more, as she put on her oven mitts, and carefully opened the oven, letting the smoke escape into the airstream. As the smoke abated, Mrs. Cake sighed, scratching the back of her neck, "That's true, even when you were a little older than a filly, you didn't make one mistake. I guess I just worried about you, that's all." A small blush of appreciation appeared on Pinkie's cheeks, before she trotted over to Mrs. Cake, ready to give her a big hug. "PINKIE!" Rainbow Dash shouted suddenly, pointing at the hot tray she was currently holding. "O-Oops!" Pinkie gulped, an embarrassed smile stretching across her cheeks. "I might want to put this down." "Good idea," Mrs. Cake concluded, a little bit startled by the encounter, "When you're done packaging the cake, you're welcome to give me a hug." "Yeah, I think that oughta be a smart idea," Rainbow frowned, impatiently, "I'm really dying for that super--uh-- whatever it's called cake!" "Don't worry Rainbow! It'll be packaged before you could say, 'Pelicans!'" Pinkie squeaked, hastily snagging the decorative paper that was sitting on the counter next to the oven. Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes at Pinkie's goofiness before saying, "Peli--" Dash's eyes widened in shock as she was given the cake before she could've said the third syllable.  "Told ya," Pinkie giggled, before trotting over to Mrs. Cake to give her a giant hug. Pinkie Pie and Mrs Cake separated when a 'ding' was heard from the bell that was hanging from a string, that was tied to a hinge on the door. Rainbow Dash turned around with the packaged cake in her hooves, curious to who had entered the bakery. She became even more inquisitive when a pony walked in, whom was wearing a shadowy cloak. "Why hello there, stranger." Mrs. Cake smiled nicely, peering over the counter. "It's very ni--" "I have a message." The pony grumbled, rudely interrupting Mrs Cake. Well, forget about a warm welcome. Mrs Cake thought to herself. Rainbow instantly detected the pony's impoliteness, and glared. She couldn't see the pony's reaction before of the hood covering his or hers face, but she knew that this newcomer wasn't a friendly one. "Ooh! I love messages!" Pinkie squealed, ignoring the pony's bluntness, hopping around the counter to get a closer view. "Who is it for? Mrs Cake? Mr Cake? Pound Cake?" Rainbow Dash watched the newcomer intensely. "No." The pony growled, but quickly cleared their throat. "It's for Twilight Sparkle's friends." The pony hissed these very words, and Rainbow Dash noticed, "So, what's this important message, huh?" She crudely asked. What's his/her's problem? "Well," The pony responded, giving his/her's full attention to Dash. "One of the royal guards sent me to tell Twilight Sparkle's companions that she had went missing earlier today." "W-What?!" Dash gasped, shaking her head in disbelief. "I just saw her this morning! I was flying over the library and I saw her talking with Spike outside." The hidden pony shook his/her's head. "I'm sorry to say but, she must've wandered out somewhere and had gotten lost." "Excuse me?" Rainbow growled, "I know Twilight, and I know that she wouldn't go out looking for trouble. Now tell me the truth." Rainbow Dash was too furious to notice, but as her and the mysterious pony were bickering, Pinkie Pie was trying to figure out who this pony was, and if she'd seen her before. Pinkie had sworn she had heard this pony's voice before... "I am telling you the truth. What else can I say? I can't just go back to the royal guard and ask them for more specific details! T--They probably haven't even found any clues yet to where she went." The pony growled, narrowing his/her's eyes at Rainbow, even though Rainbow couldn't see them. "I don't believe it," Mrs. Cake suddenly spoke up, watching the mysterious pony closely. "Where could she have gone?" "I'm going to find out." Rainbow announced, spreading wings, getting ready to take flight. "Where are you going?" Pinkie asked, looking up at Rainbow. "To find a royal guard and ask about Twilight's 'disappearance.'" Rainbow replied, watching the secretive pony as she answered. "Oh, that won't be necessary." The pony interjected. Rainbow halted herself, listening to what the pony had to say. "Why not?" "I suspect that she could've went into the Everfree forest. I mean, there have a few disappearances there a long time ago." "Well, it has been a long time since the disappearances occurred." Rainbow argued, "What makes you think she'll be in there?" "It's the only clue we have to finding your friend," The pony explained, "It's worth more than nothing." Rainbow Dash paused for a moment, deciding if she should follow the mysterious pony who claims to know where Twilight could be. Well if she or he tries any funny business, I'll kick the buck out of them. She grinned to herself, and nodded. "Fine." Pinkie frowned, "Waaaitt... Why does Rainbow get to go? I can be a pretty slick detective." Pinkie winked. "Remember, I need someone to take care of Pound Cake." Mrs Cake smiled at Pinkie. Phew. Pinkie thought, One is better than two. "Well, you two be careful." Mrs Cake warned them, "There are a lot of scary things in the Everfree forest." "Hah, no need to worry," Rainbow bragged, "If anything dangerous comes into my vision, I'll beat the hay out of it until it runs off crying to it's mommy." The secluded pony clenched their teeth in irritation, before trotting over to the entrance of the bakery, exiting without saying a single word. "I think the most dangerous thing I'll face is probably that pony's dullness." Rainbow snickered, before following after him/her. ~~~ This was easier than I thought. '
