"Alex, hey Alex wake up."
"Dude, just let me sleep." I said.
"Alex if you don't get up we won't make it to the cosplay contest and if we miss that I won't let you have any of the cake I bought at that maid café."
"Alright, alright I'll get up. Just make some coffee Shawn while I get in the shower." I said as I crawled out of bed.
"Okie dokie." He said.
"Man I hate getting up early in the morning." I say to myself as I get into the shower. I finished in the shower and slowly dried myself off. I was now half awake when I made it to the sink to finish my morning routine. I put on my deodorant, brush my teeth, and finally comb my hair. Now all I need is that sweet aroma coming from the room.
"Dude we got to hurry if were going make it to the cosplay contest. It's at 9'o'clock this morning and it's 8:45. I need you to help me suit up." Shawn said as he finished making my coffee.
I take my first sip of coffee "mmmmm, that's good stuff. Alright let's get this show on the road." I get up to help him get his costume on. While I am grateful for the coffee, Shawn's furry costume is a little extravagant that he can't put all of it on by himself. The wings always are the hardest to put on, but he's my friend and he made me my furry costume so I really can't complain. "Ok done, now let's head over to the convention center." I say as he's already half way out the door. "Man why always in such a rush." I say as I drink more coffee before I get my costume on and head over there myself.
I arrive at the convention center where the con is being held. The center was alive with everyone dressed up as their favorite characters and man was it crowded. I slowly make my way to room 401 A, where the contest was being held. I got slowed down by other people wanting to take my picture. Although I didn't mind but my friend was the one that made my furry costume. People really love the work he did on my costume. I finally made it to the room where contest was but it looked like I was too late to enter the contest myself, so I guess I'll just have cheer on my friend.
I search for a seat but it seems all the seats are full so I have to stand in the back with everyone else who didn't get a seat. "Man what a bummer, well at least we get to watch." I say to some cute girl right beside me.
"Yes indeed, I am glad to be an observer." She said.
I found it strange the way she talked but paid her no mind as I thought she was just roleplaying her character she was cosplaying as. I look back to the stage where my friend was about to have his turn to be introduced on stage. I watched as he slowly got on stage and noticed he as walking a little funny. I think he was getting stage fright by the body language I was seeing. I knew I had to help him some how by breaking the awkward silence. I then walked to the middle isle of chairs and yelled at the top of my lungs "YEAH! Show them the true power of our race brother, how the sergal are the most powerful and beautiful creatures to bless the universe with our presence." All eyes turn to me and I do a bunch of stupid muscle man flex poses while feeling a little embarrassed about the situation but it gave my friend the confidence he needed to step up with gusto and spread the wings on his costume to show everyone his cool costume.
The room was silent for a few moments until it was roaring with standing applause. My friend stepped back off stage for the announcer to come up and get the judging under way. He pointed to each cosplayer one by one asking for applause from the audience to determine a winner. When he pointed to my friend Shawn the room was deafened by applause to the point I covered my ears. I think he won, I thought to myself. The announcer took my friend off stage to discuss the prize he won, while I got tapped on the shoulder by the same girl I was talking to before.
"Wow, you're really awesome to stick up for your friend like that." She said.
"Well it was really important to my friend, so I had to support any way I could." I said.
"You sure are an interesting character, I think I am going to choose you as my champion. What powers would you like to have as my champion?" She said.
This girl sure knows how to role play, I almost believe her. I guess I'll play along for now and role play with this hot girl. "Ok, I'll be your champion but I doubt you can grant me the powers I want." So I started naming off stupid powers like super strength, super speed, immortality, eternal youth, and I wouldn't mind really being a sergal. "That's all I need and I'm all yours." I said with a serious tone. I can role play too I thought to myself.
"Really, that's all you need. Splendid, you will make a fine warrior for me." She said as she touched my chest.
When she touched me, I started to feel sick. I started to get a real bad stomach cramp that was getting worse with each passing second. I fall to my knees holding my sides until I can't take it anymore and fall over completely. What the hell was happening to me? What the hell did I eat last night? The pain was intensifying with each passing second. As I looked around, I saw no one was moving to help me. In fact no one was moving at all and I heard no sound except my own screams of pain. "AHHHH, what is happening to me?"
I watch the girl walk over to me as I was screaming. She kneeled down and removed my mask, placing her hands on my face. "I know it hurts, but it will all be over soon. You won't have to wear this mask anymore, you'll be the real deal." I wondered what she meant but the pain was too much to handle and I drift into unconsciousness.

"Ugh, just let me sleep." I said
"Silly Alex, don't you think you've slept long enough."
"What's one more minute?" I said
"Come on get up, you've been sleeping the last 300 years."
"WHAT!"
