chapter 4 the ending

princess Celesta who was secretly Chrislis steped into lunas room and said “lunasister that celesta out there is chrislis not me but i am weak so i cant fight so you have to fight her” and luna said “ok” and flew out to go fight celesta. Chrislis laughed and looks at her amulet which has magic powers which makes everyone believe you or thats what discord said when he gave it to her (omg its a tweest) and so she used it to make celesta and luna fight and twilight too since she think celesta is Chrislis and she laugh but then a magic laser hit her in the head and she fell on floor and said “wat is happening” and inside lunas room was celesta and luna who were using the elements of harmony and celesta said “your plan almost worked but then luna remembered that Chrislis could look like me and askd if i was Chrislis which i am not so I told her and now were defeating you” she said and Chrislis said “nooooooo!!!!!!!”

Celestia crushed the amulet that was around the changeling queen’s neck, which shocked Chrysalis. It was all she could do not to cry when Celestia smiled. “But Twilight taught me something today, Chrysalis. She taught me that judging others so quickly is a dangerous trait, and that the best friendships are those that overcome adversity. It’s a quality that differentiates sapient species from those that are not, and it’s one I forgot on that day… the first day that we met. I missed something… you could have done far worse than you did, on the day of Cadance’s wedding… but you didn’t, and now I know why. You wanted us to know of your existence, but you didn’t think we would accept you as you are. You wanted to teach us that even in darkness, there can be a warm hand and a kind heart. The more I thought, the more I realized that it was us who were at fault… everyone deserves to be loved. I learned to love my sister after her mistakes, she learned to love me after mine… and we can learn to love you after yours, as long as you can learn to love us in return. Can you do that… Chryssy?”

Chrysalis felt her insides twisting and burning, but she wasn’t quite sure why. She didn’t feel love, she had never felt anything like that! This uppity princess had it all wrong… but then, why was she crying? The tears that ran down her cheeks, stinging her eyes… they were real. Celestia was right… she had done the same thing that the ponies had. She had assumed that the more beautiful and progressive ponies would think the worst of the changelings… deep inside she thought she was beneath the ponies, and yet… they were equals. And here was their ruler, holding a hoof out to her, ready to accept her love… Chrysalis smiled. No wonder I’m crying, she thought, as she grasped Celestia’s hoof with her own.

Is this what Twilight meant by the power of friendship?

Twilight watched the mixture of ponies and changelings galloping and buzzing about Ponyville, repairing the damage caused by the admittedly irrational fight that had taken place the day before. No longer under the effects of the amulet that Chrysalis possessed, Twilight turned to Discord and posed the very simple, and very civil question, “Why the hay did you think that giving Chrysalis an Amulet of Shitty Storytelling would be a good idea?”

Discord just grinned. “What? I got it from this magical place called the City of Secrets and I wanted to test it out. Nopony got hurt, so it’s all okay, right?”

As much as she wanted to deny it, Twilight could understand the desire… but now another question came to mind. “What’s… the City of Secrets?”

The End.
