-     The Daring End

The air around was dark and thin. The sun never seemed to pierce the black clouds above you and the homes of which surrounded you had their own gray and dark textures. The town of Hollow Shades, it was something different and mysterious in its own meager way. Crime was common and mundane, like traffic in Manehattan, a fantastic place to make coin. That was if your professional work involved criminal and illegal activity. You were hired once again to kill.

Today was the day of a good pay. You could smell it, even sense it from outside the small carriage you stand by. The carriage next to you was large and made of a rare Everfree wood. It was wide, compact, and small, similar to a storage shack. As you wait outside the small wood container, you begin to feel the cold seep through your gray cloak. You shift into a different position but the temperature to your body did not alter. You reach your hoof behind your head and pull the hood attached to your cloak over your eyes. You feel the comfort of warmth, but afterward, experience the chill of cold wind once more.

The front door to the carriage next to you opens with a loud creek. Exiting from brown mobile home was an orange stallion, his black feathery cap covered most of his right face and he bore a silver mane. The orange dog of war glared at you with his light red eyes, he seemed unimpressed by your appearance. His gaze turned away and into the sky. Placing a hoof out to his left, he sidestepps, allowing you open access to the mobile carriage. You enter the old looking box with little to no words. The door closes behind you, the odor of the room quickly assaulted your sense of smell. The inside reeks of old cheese and wet dog.

There were two windows, a bookshelf, a desk, and a red-coated spin chair which slowly rotats in your direction. Sitting in the chair was another stallion, his size much larger than the others. His coat was dark blue, his mane was blond yellow, and his cutie mark was that of a white skull and a quill leaning on a coin pouch.

"Sit" He points to the chair next to you.

You carfuly trot towards the chair, your rump slowly makes contact with the smooth surface of the polished chair. The male across from you leans forward and places both hooves on the table, ready to engage in conversation.

"Alright. I'm not going to go into the whole thing about why you're here because we'nt got time for chit-chat!" He leans away and shifts his body to the left where he bends down and opens a small drawer. He sat up, in his hooves were a pile of papers, one of which included a wanted poster of you. "Heard rumors you do your work... discreetly," He said with a strict and deep tone. "I'm not mistaken am I?"
