A Knight's Betrayal

Rainbow Dash jerked her katana out of the dead rebel's body as blood dripped out.

"Yup, that's the last one... heh, they need to improve their ambush tactics." Rainbow Dash said jokingly, looking at the body. "Well, we better return to Canterlot Castle with the good news then; we don't want to keep Celestia waiting." Rarity replied.

One hour later...

"Excellent job, ladies. I'm assuming you girls are probably worn out, you should all get some rest." Celestia said. "Right, thank you Celestia." Twilight said, bowing with the rest of the mane six.

Rainbow Dash returned to her quarters and began to write a journal entry while laying down on her bed.

"-Journal Entry #47- My thoughts and feelings really changed since Fluttershy convinced me to keep a journal. But, now, I question myself; is this war really worth fighting? Has Equestria truly already burned itself into ashes? Or is there still a chance? I'm having hoovefuls of doubts right now, but i'll have to wait and see what happens..." Rainbow Dash quickly closed her journal and shoved it under her bed as Applejack knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Rainbow Dash asked. "It's me, Applejack." She replied as Rainbow Dash opened the door. "Rainbow Dash... I just... I just think that this kingdom will fall soon, and everything bad will all happen. I mean, well... don't you have any bad feelings about Equestria's near future, as well?" Applejack asked nervously. "Of course! I was just thinking about that, it's a depressing thought, but, at the same time, probably true..." Rainbow Dash sincerely replied. "Well, sorry for bothering you, i'm going to go now, goodbye Dash." Applejack said as she walked away. "Bye..." Rainbow Dash replied as she shut the door and laid back in bed, falling asleep...
