The professor gave a great hrmphh of disdain as he finished reading the excerpt, “Now we see how ignorant she really is- to even consider the idea of magic more apparent than in unicorns is preposterous. I can say with certainty, now, that you are all more educated than this pony ever was- perhaps now we are simply smarter than the ponies of the past. In any case, I think our time for today is up. Please pass forward those documents... I doubt we will go over such rubbish again. I will be sure to review future material more thoroughly before having us go over it. Things like this are what make our discipline viewed as fragmented, farther from reality than legends.
Despite the admonitions of her professor, Chella Chex did not return her papers. She knew that she had stumbled upon something that spoke a message she had never heard before- and she did not want to stop the experience until it was done. So she hid them in her saddlebags, passing blank notebook paper up to fill out the pile.
When he had finished collecting the stacks of documents, the professor said, “That is all for today. I will see you on Wednesday, class.”
So she stole the remaining papers to her dorm room, and locked herself in, ready to pour over them eagerly.
