Rainbow's Friend,

You are Anon, and your day is awesome! You were smiling like an idiot, happy that today was cloudy. Because then, Celestia's sun was blocked out. You also usually love cloudy weather, so you were extra happy you trudged out of bed today. Waving at everyone who passed by, you head your way to the market. You have been here for at least two years now. It's March, and today is grocery day, perfect for what you're planning today.
"Okie dokie, what do we have today?" You ask, scratching your head. You needed some groceries for a lunch today. It was special to you, so you need something good. You were going to cook something special for Rainbow. You had started getting feelings for her when you two spent some time together during the last Nightmare Night. You were around for only a year at the time, and yet you still wonder why. You and Rainbow, were almost exact opposites. For instance, you could be scared by a running leaf. You were said to be 'two peas in a pod' with Pinkie. You liked it when someone smiled. You usually love it when Rainbow smiles. Another difference between you and Rainbow, is that you were not too athletic. Your belly slightly poked out. Rainbow always said that you weren't exactly fat, just slightly overweight. You had some arm muscle, sure, but you weren't really too strong. Personality difference between you and Rainbow, you're smart. Not always, but smart.
Coming back to reality, you shake your head from your thoughts, and looked at the food you gathered. You kind of liked how you could automatically find stuff without realizing it. You have gotten a loaf of bread, some sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni. You face palmed. You wanted a special lunch, not a pizza-toast thing. You sighed. Maybe a special dinner, you do have some stuff to use back at your house for dinner. You started walking back when, speaking of the devil, Rainbow bumped into you. You fell over, Rainbow stood her ground.
"Oh hey Anon," Rainbow said. You chuckled nervously, gathering your food for lunch.
"Hey Rainbow, what's going on?" You ask, smiling. You look up to see her frowning. In your eyes, she looked sad. You frowned. "What's wrong?" You ask, growing a serious face. She sighed.
"It's nothing," she said. You stood up, and hugged Rainbow.
"You can tell me, I'm all ears," you said, hugging her. She grimaced, and shook her head. "Alright, in that case, I'll make you feel better with dinner," you said, booping her nose. She sighed, smiling.
"Fine, but you should make it great and awesome, like me!" She said, her spirit going up. You smiled brightly.
"Alright, it's a date," you replied, walking to your house. It took you a moment to realize what exactly you said. Once you got to your front door, you banged your head on it, blushing madly. "I cannot believe I said that," you said. You went into your house, regretting your choice of words. You sat on your couch, hands on your face and tried to think of what to cook. You hit your head a little to think faster. To your utter disappointment, you couldn't think of anything. "Alright Anon, think, what would Rainbow like?" You asked yourself. You remembered something about cider. It clicked to you that apple cider is what Rainbow likes to drink, but the question is, what does she like to eat? You pinched the bridge of your nose, concentrating. Hay burgers! You thought to yourself. She likes Hay burgers! You did a small victory dance on figuring out something. You froze when you remembered that you had to cook it. "Oh crap," you said. Unlike Pinkie, you aren't a good cook. In fact, you had restraining orders from restaurants you used to work for. You sighed, running your fingers through your hair. You got up and stretched, getting ready to go to Applejacks, which is going to be a pain in your neck. Big Mac usually doesn't like you because he thinks that Applejack likes you. You asked her yourself and she almost knocked you out. She's sorry about it, but she made it clear she doesn't like you that way. You got to Sweet Apple Acres, groaning when Big Mac comes up.
"Anon," he said simply. You sighed.
"I'm not allowed here am I?" You asked.
"Applejack is knocked out," he said.
"Wait, Applejack? Knocked out?" You asked.
"Don't get any ideas," he said. You groaned.
"How did this happen exactly?" You asked, confused.
"She got in a fight with that dagum blue pony," he said. It instantly clicked.
"Let me get this straight, Rainbow and Applejack fought, Applejack lost, she got also got knocked out, and you didn't stop a fight that has your little sister in it?" You asked, making a point. He opened his mouth to probably object, but he closes it.
"Eyup," he answered. You nodded.
"Alright, just making sure," you said. He seemed relieved. "Because the next time this happens I get to at least be near her," you said smirking. He almost growls.
"Fine, now what do you want?" Big Mac asks grumpily. You gave him ten bits.
"Two bottles of cider please," you said. He glares. "What?" You ask confused.
"You aren't going to make my sister drunk are you?" He asks. You face palmed.
"Big Mac, those are for Rainbow Dash, I'm trying to make a special dinner for her," you explained. His face turned into surprise.
"You love Rainbow?" He asked. You put a hand to his mouth quickly.
"Yes, yes I do, don't say it out loud," you said.
"Alright, so you don't love Applejack and you don't want to rape her?" He asks. You nodded.
"That's what I've been trying to tell you for six months!" You almost yelled. You didn't know where Big Mac got the rape idea from, but you were glad that's all over. Sometime during September, you and Applejack were hanging out, and drunk. You shook your head to forget it. You don't want to remember all the apples that day. You smile to yourself and thank Big Mac for getting the cider while you spaced out. You head home, eager to fulfill you plan for dinner. Which is five hours from now. You'd give time a middle finger, but your hands are full. You stumbled onto your doorstep, fondling with your keys until you got the right one. You opened your door, and step inside. Cool air makes you feel so much better. You put your stuff down on a table beside your couch. You fell onto said couch and slept.
It was almost five o'clock when you woke up. A loud knock was heard and you got up, but fell back down when a blue pegasus busted the door down. "What the hell!?" You screamed. Rainbow Dash looked at you, fearfully.
"Anon, thank Celestia you're okay!" She yelled, rushing to hug you. You stood in a silence for a moment.
"What do you mean?" You ask, confused. She looks up at you with tears.
"I kept on hearing about Big Mac planning to kill you, and I-I was worried, a-and-" you stopped her, as she became a waterfall. She'd deny it, but you knew better.
"Wait, Big Mac was going to kill me?" You ask. Rainbow nodded. "Why do you think Big Mac would try to kill me?" You ask. Rainbow Dash looks down.
"Well, I was talking to Applejack when she kept mentioning that Big Mac was going to kill you one day, and then we started fighting-" that explains the argument, " and then when I got here, I knocked, and then I waited. When you didn't answer I looked through the window and saw you and I-I freaked o-out and then..." She trailed off, sniffling. You processed what she said.
"You worried about me?" You asked, shocked. She nodded.
"I-I'all understand if y-you don't like me," she said, looking down. You put your hand to her chin, bring it up smiling. You pecked her cheek, blushing.
"I was going to say the same thing if I had made a move on you tonight," you said. She smiled widely and bear hugged you to a point where it puts Fluttershy to shame. You smiled, hugging her back. "Love you," you whispered.
"Love you too," she whispered back. "Oh and um, sorry for your door," she said chuckling nervously.
"It's okay, I always hated that door for stubbing my to into it from time to time," you said. She giggled. You and Rainbow got some cider. You were a light drinker. Very light. You were drunk after half the cider. Soon, you were knocked out on the couch, beside Rainbow, who was using her wing as a blanket for you.
Day who-the-hell-cares in Equestria, as you yawned and stretched your legs, you noticed an adorable Rainbow Dash beside you. You knew she'd destroy you if you called her that. You got off her sneakily and yawned again. You decided to go and make her breakfast and went to your kitchen. You got out your chefs hat and started cooking some eggs. You were hoping she wouldn't mind because that's pretty much all you have. You got done cooking, and went to the living room. You heart shattered when Rainbow Dash was crying. She was sobbing quietly, facing the window.
"Rainbow Dash! What's wrong?" You say, running over to her. She doesn't answer, but instead, hugs you. You two keep still for a few moments before she looks up at you.
"Sorry Anon, it's nothing, I'm just trying to work some things out," Rainbow Dash said. You grew a concerned face, worried.
"What's wrong Rainbow? You can tell me," you said. She sighs, wiping a tear away.
"So far, my house is going to be taken away from me, and I don't have the money to save it!" Rainbow said, hugging you. In one sense you love this because she's hugging you, and in another sense you hate that her house is going to be taken away. For once in your life, you're going to stand up.
"I'll give you the money Rainbow, how much do you need?" You ask. Rainbow Dash looks down.
"About five to six thousand," she answered. You felt your head go lighter a bit, but you shook it off and knew what to do.
"I'll take care of it," you said. She smiles happily at you and hugs you. This hug puts Fluttershy to shame. After working out your plan, you walked out of your house and to Town Hall. You stood before Mayor Mare and sat down in a chair.
"Hello Mr. Anon, what brings you here today?" She asks.
"I want to help a friend of mine," you answered. Mayor Mare nods.
"Who would you like to help?" She asks.
"A mare named Rainbow Dash, I'd like to pay for her house," you say, getting out a bag of bits.
"Mr. Anon, you realize that you are paying off six thousand bits?" She asks. You nod and handed her the bits.
"Yeah, I'm doing her a favor," you say. The mayor smiled.
"You like her don't you?" She asks. You blush and nodded quickly. "Well, I'll try to cut the price down a little, but if I do, you'll need to pay me at least five thousand bits," Mayor Mare says. You nodded smiling. You got up, walked out the front door and went to your house. That was amazingly quick, you thought. You opened the door to see RD watching your television.
"Hey Rainbow, I got your house paid for!" You say when Rainbow sees you. She might as well be called a gun because she instantly flew up to you and hugged you hard.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you!" She says, ending the sentence with a kiss. You nearly passed out in surprise. If not that, then how long she kissed you. She realized what she did and blushed madly. Before she could say a word, you leaned in, kissing her back. After a few weeks you two started dating, and you felt like the happiest man in equestria. Mostly because you really are.
