Entering Equestria

It was a Thursday afternoon - lunchtime. I was sitting with a lot of my friends in the shade by the cafeteria entrance, where we always sat. "Guess what I'm wearing tomorrow?" My friends all looked at me and rolled their eyes. I laughed. Every Friday I would always wear my MLP shirt. Since it was the only one I had, I wanted to make sure that everyone at school knew I wasn't kidding. And since the first Friday of school nobody cared, right? I really thought so until Friday came around. Friday became very stormy. There were so many clouds that were a very dark gray, almost black in color, and there was thunder and lightning all over. Yet they still made us go to school. My parents were on a business trip and my brothers were at a friend's house. I had to take the bus since it was too far to walk and no one was able to drop me off. I went to the bus stop and waited about ten minutes until the bus arrived. When I got on, trying to find a seat, I noticed a lot of kids whispering and laughing. What was up? I really was starting to regret wearing my shirt today. At school, you couldn't go outside unless you really had to. I decided today I would go to my class a little early today. When I got to the classroom, the teacher wasn't there! The teacher was almost always in the classroom before school; something just wasn't right. Just then, an announcement came over the loudspeakers,"Would all students and staff please report to the main gym, please report to the main gym." I was close to the gym so I went to through the front and.....!!!! It was such madness in there! Students hurrying to get into the gym, as well as staff. Once everyone piled in the gym, I could see the principal looking really upset. I sat down at the end of the bleachers in the front row. I sat closest to the door, like I always did, just in case I needed to run out. This Friday was becoming a crazy dream, vision, nightmare! This couldn't be real! The principal came to the microphone, coughed and spoke with a raspy voice, "I'm glad you all could make it. I know this morning's weather has been very strange. We haven't had a storm like this in five years!" So I really wasn't imagining things. "There has been a particular cloud, blacker than all the others that is, well, different." Wait, different? I was so confused. "I really don't want to describe it. Anyway, five years ago we had to sacrifice someone and the storm went away after that." Everyone was looking worried and, soon people started to panic. "Now I know it seems hard, but if no one does, we'll be stuck with this weather forever!" Everyone was panicking now! Girls were screaming, boys had questions, until there was a loud boom of thunder and a flash of lightning struck. That shut everyone up. Also, the power went out. Without thinking, I ran out of the gym outside. The wind was blowing really hard. I looked up trying to find the cloud our principal described. Then I found it! This cloud was one of the blackest clouds I've ever seen, but there was little rainbow sparkles inside it. I didn't exactly know why, but I thought it was like a black hole to another dimension or some portal to another world. It was literally right in front of me, so close that I could hear - music? Yes, it was clear to me that I was able to barely hear the My Little Pony theme song, though it sounded more like a remix. I wanted to go in, but what if I didn't come back? What if I died? What if it was a trap? What if it was all a dream? Too many "what ifs?" I just had to decide on an option! But what? The music from the show was becoming louder now, as if it was beckoning me to come and see what was waiting for me. I knew I either had to stay or go so I closed my eyes and ran; straight into the black cloud, music blasting in my ears. Eyes still closed, I felt some weird force as I ran, and when I opened my eyes, I realized I ran into a portal. Even though I only saw a bit of the portal, I could tell that it was identical to the one from Equestria Girls. Just in that moment I knew, I would soon be: Entering Equestria!
