I'm going home, no matter what!by MomentumCrowChaptersPrologue: The BookChapter 1: PreparationChapter 2: What have you done?!Chapter 3: The unexpected greetingsPrologue: The Book"David! Wake up! How are you still sleeping at this time?", someone shouted at the top of their lungs. David's ear perched as he heard somebody was calling his name, it was definitely Rainbow. He answered it quietly, "Give me a few more minutes... I'm still knackered from last night's party at Pinkie.". He wondered if she heard that with his groggy voice. After he said that, a few hoof-steps could be heard slowly becoming louder and louder until the door swung open by Rainbow. She saw that he was still laying in bed with his eyes half opened, looking at her. "Are you really that tired? You didn't even drank that much. You had two cups of the lightest cider and that's it!", she said and David gazed at her with a frown, she asked him softly, "Was that your first time drinking alcohol?" David sighed and answered, "I should have told you about this before I taste that liquid. I wanted to impress all of you by drinking that. But was I wrong." "Well, you did try your best at it and that's fine by me. Sorry if I offended you by any ways.", Rainbow apologized, "By the way, are you gonna get up anytime soon? Or do I have to drag you all away to the farm and leave you there in the mud?", Rainbow said while taking a few step closer to David's bed. David sighed and slowly got up of his bed, let out a yawn before saying, "What bloody time is it?" Rainbow looked at a nearby clock to see that it was ten in the morning, "Ten o'clock." David was shocked after hearing that, he woke up three hours later than usual. He quickly stood up and grabbed his clothes and he looked over to his left and snatched what he called "an important item" and wore it on his neck. Rainbow chuckled and said, "You're gonna wear that thing on your neck for the rest of the day? And when did you loop a string through that thing? And why don't you just put it in your pocket or something?" David shook his head and told her, "Calm down, Ms. Ask-Alot-Of-Questions, I thread this thing the other night. I don't want to have my "trophy" end up in small bits of silver. Or what ever this thing is made out of." Rainbow didn't said anything, she rolled her eyes and walked downstairs. David looked down at his chest and saw that his reward after defeating Sombra was a perfect fit to him, he then walked downstairs and left the library. David walked out of the door only to be greeted by the two that has been with him since the battle, Thomas and Charles. For over six months of being transformed from two soulless figures to two big hearted humans the town had ever known. He had taught them to help others who needed the most. "Good morning, sir. Or should I say noon?", Charles said, "Are you still sober after last night event?" "I can't say I am, Charles. My brain is still twisted and dizzy despite it has been over ten hours after that drink got inside my system.", David responded, "Hold on a minute or two, don't you two have anything to do today?" "Rarity reduced my work and gave me a day off. She said that all of her orders are done and told me to go outside and have a drink with someone.", Charles said. David then looked over to Thomas, waiting for his answer. He didn't open his mouth to let out a word, instead he just pointed at Charles, implying that his was the same as Charles. "Wicked. You two chaps can do anything you want to have fun. Make sure it doesn't involve burning something down or anything stupid, alright?" Both of them laughed at David and one of them spoke up, "You taught us how to be nice to others and you expect us to burn down the whole town down in less than a day?" "I'm just kidding, guys.", David said and looked behind him. He forgot that Rainbow was still behind him, "Oh, I forgot that you are still here. I'll see you both later and when we do, we're going to have a night out." Thomas and Charles nodded and saluted him before David continued to walk with Rainbow to the farm. They walked for a few minutes before David spoke up again, "Hey Dash?" "Yeah?" "I've been thinking a lot about this question and I would like to know your thoughts on it. Also, this might be a stupid lil' question.", David's word made Rainbow raises her eyebrown in confusion, "What would you do if you were in my situation? Stuck in an unknown world with something trying to kill you." Rainbow took a ten long seconds of thinking then she finally answered, "I would do nothing like you. In fact, I don't even know what I should do. So yeah, there's your answer." "Huh, you answer was way different than I would have expected. But it's great to...", something interrupted David mid-sentence, his chest was getting hotter and hotter, "... know. Woah, why is my torso burning?", he looked down and saw that the thing he has been wearing around his neck was glowing dark blue. With no hesitation, he removed it and threw it on the floor. Miraculously, it returned to its normal state. "What in the blue heavens just happened?", David said while looking at the thing that tried to burn him alive. "Dude... I think it just came back to life!", Rainbow said. The two took a step towards the thing that almost made a hole in David's chest. David picked it up and was surprised that it wasn't as dangerous as before. He told Rainbow, "I think I should not wear this any further, don't you think?" Before she could reply to him, she saw David's hand was almost consumed by some kind of blue lines. It stopped before David's hand was out of his sight. "What in the living thing is happening to my hand?! Get it off me! Big bloody mistake picking this thing up again!", he shouted and tried to remove it off his hand, but it was no used. The thing was impossible for him to take it off. "Calm down, David! Is it hurting you badly?!", Rainbow didn't knew what to say at that point, she was terrified at the sight of David freaking out. "It's not hurting me, no. But I'm still terrified about the fact that this thing just ate my whole hand!", David said while still trying to find a another way to get rid of it. "Oh. Well that's not big of a problem if it doesn't hurt ya. We just have to go to Twilight and see if she could get that "trophy" out of your hand." David looked down at his hand and replied, "Okay. Let's hope to someone that Twilight have some other ways instead of getting my hand decapitated." Rainbow started to walk back towards the library. David began to follow her but only to be stopped by his hand, weighting him down like an anchor at the bottom of the ocean. He slowly stood up with a huge amount of weight stuck in his hand, tried walking again but only to be falling down onto the dirt floor, he stood up and stand still, not moving an inch and spoke up, "What just happened?! I can't wa-", David looked back at his hand to see that there was a an arrow pointing at a place he doesn't want to go in: the Everfree Forest. "David! Are you okay? What happen-", Rainbow saw what the arrow was pointing at amd was shocked like David. Both of them stare at the entrance of the forest with a terrified look. They have promised that neither of them walk into that death trap after the incident that probably could have taken one of their lifes. David let out a long sighed before telling Rainbow, "I think this thing wants me to go in there." Rainbow gasped after hearing that and immediately hover infront of him, trying to stop him from entering the forest, "Are you nuts?! Do you even remember what happened last time we entered there?! What if the wolves are stronger now?" "Do you have any other great ideas? I can't walk anywhere else with this "thing" stuck on my hand or else I will sink harder than a ship. There are no other choices, Dash. If I want to get out of this situation, I need to follow it. But for safety reasons, go find Charles and Thomas and tell them to meet me at the entrance of the forest." Rainbow didn't have any other choices but to call his human friends to help him get out of this sticky situation. She took off and flew away, leaving David walking alone into the deep, dark forest. After a few moments, Rainbow finally found Charles and Thomas and told them what was going on. They quickly ran to the entrance of the forest and saw David standing, waiting for them. "Took you long enough. Come on, let's follow this stupid thing to where it's leading us, and hope that it's not a death trap.", David said as he led them through the Everfree Forest. "What are we looking for anyway, David?", Charles asked. "Do I look like I have any idea what we are looking for or where we are going right now? I know bugger all about anything we're trying to accomplish here.",David replied while looking down at his hand, making sure he doesn't miss anything. "I don't even know how we're going through all of this mess without getting killed yet. Are you sure that thing isn't blessed with some kind of 'Stay-away-wolf' spray? Because I'm feeling kind of worried about not seeing any kind of movements.", Thomas said while scouting around, scaring that he might jinx all of them. David looked at him with his 'What did I tell you' eyes, "Oh I forgot, you don't know anything. Sorry." An hour has passed and the four couldn't seem to find anything interesting while walking in the forest. They were all surprised about them not encountering any kind of creatures, no Timberwolves or anything dangerous. "Guys? I think that is what we have been looking for.", David broke the silence and pointed his at an old tree with a fading blue light surrounding the core. The four quickly ran towards it and all eyes were on David. "How can you tell this is the one we've been looking for?", Rainbow curiously asked. "Because out hundreds of trees, this one's cord is glowing blue. Also, my hand is glowing brighter the closer I get to it. Now that we know that this is the tree, I guess I have to do this...", David said as he slowly move his consumed hand closer to the core of the tree. His hand reached the center of the tree and a light came out of nowhere and illuminated the whole forest, almost blinding David. He focus his vision and look back to his hand to see that his hand was no long covered with blue lines. Instead of only receiving the item back, the item was attached to a book with an oak wood cover. "That's it? We walked for an hour just for a book?!", Rainbow shouted with raged. "I didn't asked you to go with me but you did it anyway, so it's your own fault.", David said and opened the book. He looked inside to see none other than words and a few drawings and none of them really made sense to him. He closed the book and turned back to the others, "I can't understand anything written in this book. We need someone who can translate it. Any ideas?" They all looked at each other and agreed on the same answer, "Twilight." "Bingo. Now let's get out of here before our luck ran out. I don't like the feeling of this after picking this book up.", David said and followed the other out of the forest. He didn't like where this is going. Chapter 1: Preparation"Twilight?", David called her out after they hit the library's door. Twilight turned around to see the four standing at the entrance, gasping for air like they just got chased down by a serial killer. She spoke up, "Hey you guys! What happened to you? You all looked like you just ran a marathon or something." "That's... because we actually...", David took a long breath before continuing, "... did run for our lives." Twilight was confused at what they were running away from and asked, "What were you running away from? Is it still behind you?" "Not really, no. Actually, nothing really chased us back there. We ran for our lives because David told us to because he said he needed to get to you as fast as he can so he could ask you about that stupid book he just found in the Everfree Forest.", Rainbow said. Twilight was standing there, still confused about what was happening, "What book? Did you just say "the Everfree Forest"? What were you all doing there?" "We ask ourselves the same bloody question when he called us there.", Charles said, "He said about something stuck in his hand and he couldn't move anywhere besides where the thing was telling him to go." "Short explanation, we went into the forest, grabbed a book and then ran back here. Now can you please translate whatever language there is in this book?", David's temper just went out of the library. "Okay, okay! Calm down, David. Give me the book and I'll translate whatever I can.", Twilight said and David gave the book to her. Twilight opened the book and to her surprise, this was the same language that she have learned a few days ago. She told David, "That's strange." "What?" "This happens to be the language I was studying the other day. What is more surprising that there are only two books that has been written with this language. I guess this is one of them." "Hold on a minute or two.", David took the book and told Twilight, "Did I happen to find a rare artifact of them is world? Also, can you translate most of it?" "By meaning, yes, that is the rarest book ever found in a long time. And by skimming through it, I could easily translate every word written in that.", Twilight used her magic and levitate the book over to her side. She hovers it in front if her, turning a page or two while at it. After a few second of reading, she was shocked about what she was reading, "Oh... my... gosh. You cannot believe what you've just found, David!" "I can't tell what I've found because you are not telling me what it says! For the love of God, Twilight!", Davi couldn't take the hesitation. "You've just found what seems to be your ticket back to your home planet!", Twilight said. Silence fill the room. No one opened their mouth to say anything because they were left shocked. David, on the other hand, was laughing maniacally. The laugh died shortly after and David spoke up, " Oh my! That joke just broke my ribs! You sure know how to pull a joke, Twilight." "I'm telling you the absolute truth, David! This book contains valuable information on how to get back to your home planet! I'm being very serious right now, David. You have to trust me." David didn't know if he was supposed to be happy or surprised. Instead of doing either of that, he stumble a few step back before his face was met by the library's wooden floor. He passed out again. Without hesitation, he was carried onto the nearest couch by Charles. "Can you please do us a favor and explain everything to us so we could explain to him with another proper, easier way? Twilight?", Charles said. "Sure, I guess. He'll never understood anything I will have to say to him. You two try and keep up with me, okay?" Thomas along with Charles nodded in agreement and signaled Twilight to tell them what they needed to know in order to shorten everything up. After around five of so minutes, David's moan can be heard by the others. Rainbow was the first one that meets his eyes. "What happened? How long have I been out for?" "After your face greets the ground, I think you got knocked out cold for five minutes.", Rainbow informed him. David looked over the couch to see the other three was sitting there, looking like they have some words for him. Charles stood up, cleared his throat before telling him, "We need to talk about the book you brought home and what was written inside it, so open your ears and listen carefully." David reposition himself and gave them the signal to give him what kind of information he needed to know. Charles nodded and began to tell him, "You have already known that the book was more rare than the shiniest diamond, yes?", he said and David nodded, "But do you know what's more rare than that?" "You mean that book is not the rarest?", David said. "Yes. And that thing is the item on the book itself. It's a medallion and it contains more power than you could have ever imagine and guess what it could do.", Charles said and David shrugged, not knowing what that thing is capable of, "Travel through different dimensions and planets." "Am I in some kind of Sci-fi movie? Are you sure that thing could take me to any planets? And does that mean that I could finally go home?", David continues to throw question at him. "Kind of. I mean that's what Twilight told me.", Charles said and looked over to Twilight. "Technically, it's not that easy to flip a lever and go back home like that. This medallion only takes you to a place it belongs. There are thirteen of this thing spread out of the universe and you have to collect all of it to go where ever you want and I guess it is Earth. It is a very risky thing to do, David. If you walk out Equestria now, it will he hard to bring you back. I don't think you should go for it, David.", Twilight explained it to him. David thought about it at first but his thoughts was connected to another one. The one that he had promised his wife. He remembered the time he met his wife and oh man, to him, meeting his wife has always been a dream to him when he knew he was stuck here. He remembers the promise he had made to her. He kept it since then and now, it was his time to fulfill his promise. "Twilight?", David looked over to her, "Do me a favor and do what you do best to get that thing working." The two mares gasped after hearing him. He made a decision that could probably end his life for good. Rainbow lift herself off the ground and hovers in front of David. "Are you out of your mind?! That is the worst thing to could have decided! You don't know what is out in those planets, David. For Celestia's sakes, it could get you killed!" "It is my decision, Dash!", he turned back to Twilight, "What do I need to do to have that thing working? And do not ask a single question!" Twilight was scared, trembling from his outrage, but she held it and told him what he needed, "We need a few things to get this thing working properly. First, we need a mirror, a few blue orchids, some spring starflowers and... poison jokes? Why would this thing needs poison jokes?" "No time for questions. I'm going to go and get the Poison Jokes and the rest of you get the rest of the ingredients.", David said and without further or do, he ran out of the library in a blink of an eye. What he didn't know was Rainbow was.quietly following him. For a few moments, he reached the entrance of the forest again. Instead of going freely into the woods, he decided that he would go to Zecora's hut for the plants instead of going head first into danger. Before he even walk down the path, Rainbow stopped him. "Why do you want to go back so bad, David? Your life is perfect here! You got a job, a house, bunch of frienes. I mean, what does your home have but ours don't?" "I'm afraid that is too personal. Now if you excuse me, I need to get those plants and leg it out of here quick. I don't like this forest one bit.", David said and ran passed Rainbow. Rainbow would not let the question unanswered. She uses her speed to catch him easily, she tackled him onto the ground, tumbles a few times before stopping. "I'm not going to let that slide away easily. You're going to answer me right now, personal or not." David gently remove her out of his body. He let out a long sigh before telling her, "Remember the time I passed out for two days after defeating Sombra? I went into my dream and I met her. I... promised her that I will find a way back home even if it kills me. I'm not even sure if she was real! But a promise is a promise and I will fulfill it." He looked over to Rainbow to see a tear drip down her cheek. David whipped the remaining tears on her face and told her, "Look, Dash. I know you live me and I know that you don't want to let me go. But I can't let this opportunity flies away. I'm sorry, Dash. But I have to go home. Do me a favor and do not forget me when I'm gone, okay?", Rainbow answered him with a nod, "That's the Rainbow I wanted to see. Now, let us go and get the plants." He said and they both stood up, walking the rest of the way to the hut. It wasn't hard for David to get what he needed from Zecora. Sure it was a little bit difficult trying to tell her why he needed them, but he manage to get them without having to answer too much questions. Both David and Rainbow talked to each other on the way back to the library. They talk, they laugh, it reminds him of that first date he had with her. Their conversation ended when the duo reached the library. David opened the door and to his surprise, Celestia was there. "Greetings, David." "Celestia? What in the world are you doing here?", said David. "I'm here because Twilight is asking my permission to help you with your journey back where you belong." David was shocked once again, "What?! You have got to be kidding me! What is she gonna do to help me find my way back? Telling bedtime stories?" "Hey! Without me, you wouldn't be able to know the language written in this book. I'm coming with you because I can tell you what you needed to know about your encounter of other planets.", Twilight said. "Okay, maybe you are correct about the language in the book. But that doesn't make me to let you follow me. You are the Element of Magic for God's sakes! What will the rest of the elements do without you?" "Do not worry too much, David. We have been discussing this before and have decided that me and my sister will take over the Element of Magic. It's about time we protect our citizens in our own hooves.", Celestia said. "Are you sure, Princess? If so, then can I ask how does your sister and you operate only one Element?" "We created it, we know how to use them. Now, continue your progress." He nodded at her and walked towards Twilight. Next to her was a well placed mirror with a bowl on the top corner of it. In the bowl, there were a few flowers in it. All of them are blue and David assumed that was the place he needed to put his plants in. "Okay, almost ready to go. I need a few minutes to cast a spell on the ingredients and the book. When the portal starts working, you need to grab the book and walk through the mirror to disable the portal. Understood?" "Can these two come with me?", he pointed at the other two humans in the room, "They might become handy if we get into a sticky situation." "They can come if they want to. Make sure that the last one entering the portal must disable it removing the book behind the mirror. Got it?" Twilight said and both Charles and Thomas gave her a thumbs up, "Great! Now let's see how this thing works." David ignored Twilight for a moment and turned back to Rainbow, "Before I leave, I want you to keep something for me. I cut it out of the picture." He handed her a what seems like a portion of David's family picture with David in it, "I kept it for quite awhile now and I've been wanting to give it to you. What I want you to do is to pin this thing somewhere you can see it." As soon as he finish his sentence, a blue light flashes and a small boom can be heard behind him. He turned around and saw the mirror was shimmering blue light. It was time. This is it. This was the moment David has been waiting for his whole life. He doesn't want to leave this beautiful, calming, peaceful planet and let it go to waste. But he had to do it. He had to. "It's time, David.", Twilight said as she removes the book behind the mirror and handed it to Charles, "You will walk in last and make to be clear, make sure nobody walk in besides us, okay?" Charles nodded and they all turned to the mirror. David and Twilight took a few step closer to the portal. Every step they took, Rainbow's heart began to beat faster. It's hard for her to see two her love ones go. She couldn't take it anymore, so she did what stupid thing her brain told her to do. "I'll take that!", she yoinked the book out of Charles's hand, "Here I come! Brace yourself!", she comes charging at Twilight and David, attempting to shove them in with her. "Oh bugger!", David was tackled along with Twilight into the portal. The portal slam shut, the mirror stopped shimmering. Silence filled the room, leaving Celestia, Charles and along with Thomas speechless. "That is not good at all.", Charles said while still couldn't tell what just happened. "You got that right.", Thomas replied. Chapter 2: What have you done?!"Daaaaamit Daaaaash!", David's voice echo's through the unknown land, "Why do you have to make everything so difficult all of the sudden? I knew you would do this kind of thing, I knew it!" "Uhhh... whoops?", said Rainbow. "Whoops?! Is that the only thing you could think of? God bloody dammit. Now I have to take care of you two until I get my bottoms back where I came from." "Hey! You don't have to take care of me. I can carry myself without your help. You can't treat me like a normal little filly who doesn't know anything, David. I'm a tough mare and you know that's true." David opened his mouth to say something but nothing really came out. She was right. "Can't argue with that, I guess.", David said and turned to find Twilight. But she was no where to be found, "Oh bugger. Where in the world did Twilight land?" "Guys!", a voice came from above them. They looked up to see Twilight was dangling from a great height, "I'm up here. I think I'm stuck on some vines." "Oh, there she is. How did she get up there anyways? And why did we end up in a forest again?", David turned back to Rainbow, "Go up there and get her and maybe, just MAYBE, her gibber-gabberish can explain everything." Without further notice, Rainbow took off to Twilight's location, which was about twenty feet above the solid ground. Gently, Rainbow remove Twilight out of the tree she was hanged from and set her down onto the ground. "You could have called us earlier. What makes you hold the phone?", David said while looking for a comfortable spot to sit down. "I guess I smashed my head against something when we got here. Did anything bad happen when I was out?" "Let me see,", David stood up, walk over to Rainbow, "she shoved us through the god damned portal! Is that bad enough? Or the fact that we are on a "What-kind-of-planet" it is and in the middle of the woods, again, and who knows what's out there that could possibly kill us. Now tell me that's not bad." "Well, that is bad. But you can handle it like the last time you arrived in Equestria, right?", Twilight asked with a little bit of concern on her face. "The last time I got through the forest was you, Twilight.", David said, "You killed the Timberwolf before I became its lunch. So basically, we can't get out of here like I did without anyone's help. We need to find someone or "something" that could help us in this bad situation, and we need them pronto." "Yeah, you're right. We need help finding the things we need. But first, we need some place to stay for the night. Any ideas?" "I got some", Rainbow jumped out of nowhere and decided to contribute some ideas, "How about we make a small, temporary house and sleep for a night, or we could go into that abandoned house over there." "Wait, what abandoned house are you talking about? And how can you tell that it was abandoned in the first place?", David said confusingly. "It's over by some thick trees and there are nobody inside. I mean, it looks super empty, so I'm gonna assume that it's abandoned. And relax, if there's anything in there that could hurt us, we'll hurt them back." "That's a little bit savage, don't you think?", Twilight walked into the conversation, "I think we should knock the door before we hurt something on purpose. Or get us killed. I seriously don't want to get devoured by some weird looking creature in this planet." "Don't we all? Come on, we'll ring the bell and let's see if there's anything inside. Maybe the creature will be friendly... or hungry.", David said as they walk towards the wooden house. The house design was easily recognized by David. He saw one these houses before in movies. Especially the ones that has to do with Japan. "Why does this house looks so familiar...", David whispers to himself. "Have you seen this house before, David?", Twilight asked. "I think so, yeah. These house did exist in my planet before. But it was way back in the time. The question is, how in the heaven did it get here?" "Let's check it out and ask the owner. Maybe they could help you." David nodded as they walk to the old wooden house. It had a few little cracks on the outside of it, but it was still in shape for use. They slowly creep towards the house, making sure every step does not make a noise. They did not want to spook what ever was inside it. The three reaches the front porch of the house, or what seems to be like it. David figured that there has to be a slide door since he was familiar of how this house was structured. He easily found the entrance and slide the door open, peaking inside a little bit after that. "It looks very empty in here. Let's get inside.", David whispered quietly, "Ladies first." "Are you kidding me? You go first! I don't want to be the first one to die in this weird looking house.", Dash said. "And I thought you were the tough one.", he said teasingly as he continues to sneak into the house. Inside the house were some candles, most of them were lit but some weren't. The candles barely produce enough light to lighten the whole room. It was a strange thing for David to see. "Guys, check this out.", he called the mares in, "See those things over there, Twilight?" "Lit candles? Are you thinking what's currently in my mind right now?", Twilight replied "Something or someone was here.", David said as he stands up to take a clearer view of the house. He looked to his right and what he saw was unbelievable. "No...bloody...way. I can't believe it! How in the living things did it get here?", David said while still being fairly shocked. These things can only be seen and made by humans. "What? What's wrong?", Rainbow asked "I think we're in a human's-", David was interrupted by a some footsteps coming towards them. It seems to be coming from the back of the house. The door infront of them slide open and what emerges from the room made David gasp in surprise. A Human. Chapter 3: The unexpected greetingsDavid and the mysterious human stare at each other with a confusing look. None of them knows what was going on, how was there another human in another planet that is not earth. The mares, on the other hand, also trying to figure out what was happening between the two humans. They both look away from the two humans who was still eyeing each other. "What are they doing?", Rainbow said. "I don't know. But I assume it's something related to humans that David didn't tell us.", Twilight replied. They look back at the two and surprisingly, still looking. "We need to end this before it gets too creepy and weird." Twilight nodded at Rainbow's statement. She walk over to David and nudged him and for some odd reasons, it knocked him out from what he was doing. "This can't be happening...", David said quietly in a disbelief tone. "What do you mean this can't be happening? That is a human standing in front of you right now. Maybe he's in the same situation as you right now. You can ask him for help since you two are the same species.", Twilight told him. David look back at the other human and questions began to flood his mind. What if this person doesn't understand him? What if he kills them overnight? Negative questions fill his curious mind. He finally takes a deep breath and slowly walk over to the other human. "Hello? Can you understand me? Do you speak English? If so, then can you tell us where are we?", David immediately throws questions at the poor, confused human, hoping that he answers with the language that he speaks. "Yes.", the other human answered awkwardly. He makes his voice sounds like David and the mares were threats to him. David, on the other hand, tried not to notice it too much, "Oh thank what ever magic it is to make you speak English! What a god-sent! Can you help us out of this awful mess we are currently in?", he plays along with his attitude for no suspicion. He didn't answer David. But instead he moved his hand upwards to his face. With his index finger, he quietly picked his nose. After a short five seconds of picking his nose, he finally stopped and turned back to the others, who were looking at him with a disgusted face. "Why should I?", he simply answered. David thought to himself, 'That's a strange and short answer.', "Because... we are the same kind and we desperately need your help and maybe we'll give you a free ticket back to planet Earth?", David answered, trying to persuade him. Silence fill the room once again. David was standing there, waiting for his answer and to David's surprise, he turned around and walked back to the room he came out from. "Uh... is that a yes or a no? Can somebody tell?", Rainbow was unsure of the answer. Moments later, he came back with a bag and it looks like it was filled with things. The other three did not know what was inside. But the only thing they could do was look inside it. 'Please don't blow up in my face, please don't blow up in my face!', David thought to himself as he slowly open the bag. What was inside the bag totally made him completely confuse. He saw what looks like fluffy, white sheet. Surprise, surprise. It was totally a blanket. "What in the world is a blanket doing here? How did you get this here? And what kind of planet are we living on? This sure doesn't look like Earth.", he asked. "Do I look like an answer to you?", the man in the white robes backfires David. He kept his mouth shut after hearing that, "No? Then keep what ever you are having and find somewhere to sleep. The sun is down and all I want is quietness. I don't want you or your animals going into my room. Or else.", he then proceeded to go back to the room he came out from and slide the door shut. David and the mares were utterly shocked. One of the two mares slowly backing up to the door, not trusting the mysterious man who looks like he wanted to murder them all. "David? I don't think staying here is a good idea. We should find somewhere else to rest for the night.", Twilight hinted David to show that she was fearing the other human in the house. "Hey, what could possibly go wrong? If we keep our noses away of his things then we'll be in good shape, I think.", David, on the other hand, was also unsure if he could trust this guy. But he decided not to worry about it too much. A couple of moments later, David found a place where he thinks he and the mares could stay for the night, the basement. It wasn't the most ideal place he could have find in the house but it was good enough for them to stay. The room was dark, the only light source in it was a lit candle. The floor, surprisingly, was clean. They didn't know what the mysterious person did to kept this abandoned looking place clean but they didn't dare to ask. "Alright, let's stay here for the night. I'll go talk to him.", David said. He looks like he forgot what the other human said to him. "Uh hello? Are you out of your mind? Didn't you hear what he said earlier? He's going to basically kill you if you try to speak to him!", Twilight exclaimed. "Well... that could totally happen. But who knows? If any of you two hear my ridiculous British scream, leg it out of here.", David said while sucking up all of his courage and goes up the stairs. He hoped to god that person still got a little bit of humanity for him not to kill David. David went up the stairs, the sun was nowhere to be seen. It was pitch black outside, "That doesn't look promising. I guess the sun sets earlier here than on Earth.", he mumbles to himself, "Now where is the lad that wanted me dead if I looked at hi-" Pitchblack. He was knocked out again. Somewhere in David's mind... "Bloody hell... Why does everyone wants me dead?", he said while slowly gets up, rubbing the back of his head. "Hello again, David.", A voice came from behind, it was his angel look-a-like friend who called him, Cassiel. "Hello, love. Did you see what happened back there? Who wallop me in the back of my skull?" "Before I could answer your question, I should ask where have you been for last two days?", she asked with a warm smile. David, who was totally not in the mood to answer anything, was trying to remember what he did in the last two days. "I can't recall after that brutal knock out. But I remembered that I got here a day ago." Cassiel chuckles for a little bit and said, "That should be quite enough. Now allow me to answer your question. The one who happens to knock you unconscious was the one who you greeted today." David was surprise that it was him. He would have guessed him in the first place, "Bollocks... speaking of which... Are my lads doing alright back in Equestria?" "Who?" "Thomas and Charles?" "Those two? They're furious after the stunt from one of your friends." David pause for awhile before let out a laugh, "Oh goodness,", he said while catching his breath, "I feel awful for them. Could you send them my regards?" Cassiel chuckles and waved her hands, "I will." Swoosh... David was gone.
Prologue: The Book"David!
