It is a place worse than Tartarus, worse than Hell… a place filled with horrors, and death that are unimaginable in the eyes of ponies and griffons alike. In the land of Equestria, there is a neighboring island state that belongs to humans, it is vast, and filled with many cities that dwarf many of Equestria's own.

But now… for one reason or another, the entire nation has gone dark after a month of no contact. Equestria's leadership is perplexed as to why, and so are many Ponies who have friends within the city, both human and pony.

Applejack has a pen pal in the city, a human by the name of Freddie, and she hasn't heard from him in that whole month. A bit peeved by this, she packs a bag and heads to the city in search of her human pen pal, curious as to the state of the city as well…

However, once she crosses the bridge… things go downhill from there.
