Chapter I: The Waking of Skull
As the evening wind howled within the Dead Lands, a certain kingdom exposes itself on the far edge of the rocky plains. This had seen a lot of things that would make any other pony shiver in fear. However for a certain race it was enough to call home. The Changelings...A mysterious and vicious race that feeds off of the love of its prey. Though they had posed to be a threat in the late past , now they are considered the weakest of all the races. However that never stopped a determined queen who would not face defeat. As Queen Chrysalis walked the halls of her kingdom she observed her children on the floor below her. The weak, starving, helpless race was facing a massive famine and drought. The queen knew it was time to fight serious....it was time to call in her pure and true creation.
"Aiden...I request your help," Chrysalis ordered. As soon as possible a changeling commando had flew down from the war room and bowed in front of his queen.
"Your highness...What is your request?" Aiden asked. Chrysalis walked beside him and nudged her head forward, ordering Aiden to walk with her.
"Aiden...how goes the war against the beasts of the western point?" She asked Aiden follows behind her as he gives her his report.
"Your highness...the battle goes gravely ill. We have already lost three hundred of our brothers and sisters, while the enemy has lost only fifty of theirs. I'm afraid the western point will be lost by night fall...," Aiden replied.
"What about General Scar? What is he doing about this?" Chrysalis asked.
"My queen, he has sent a request to send in more soldiers," Aiden responded. Chrysalis sighed.
"He does know we are out of recruits right?" she asked
"Unfortunately my queen, he cares less about what we think... I was going to send him some of my vanguards but...," Aiden stooped as he saw Chrysalis walked to an edge of the balcony and overlooked her kingdom in pain.
"We cannot. We have already lost to Canterlot during the weeding raid, the surprise attack from Lord Terik, and now we have a new enemy, hardly a threat before, knocking on our front porch. I think it's time to wake him up Aiden," Chrysalis said. Maiden's eyes widen in shock.
"Your highness...my queen....He's still recovering from the assault against Terik...I suggest we let him-!" Maidens words were cut shirt when Chrysalis turned and gave him a sneering look.
"Aiden...every loss...every life we sent out there is either dead or missing. We cannot be seen as weak, scared, helpless creates of the dark. If we are to rise above our enemies, then we need to fight fire with fire...Send in White Skull," she ordered. Aiden was against this, but she had a point. The more losses they have it's been harder for them to stay in large numbers. Aiden sighed and bowed to Chrysalis.
"It shall be done my Queen," Aiden responded and flew off. As Aiden went to the crystal chamber he ran into a friend. A fame changeling who was part of the assault team of Canterlot.
"Aiden...what are you doing here? I thought you left for the defense," A young blue haired changeling named Rose Rario asked.
"I was...the queen wants to summon White Skull," Aiden said. Rose was shocked.
" What....!? He...she can't...he still has nightmare about the battle. If they send him in he'll be dead in less than ten seconds," Rose alleged.
"It's not my call or yours...besides, I doubt he'll comply and stay here. After all, he is willing to help his family," Aiden alleged.
"If....if you say so...Just...just look after our brother, Kay?" Rose asked. Aiden smiled and walked to the chamber.
"I promise...now, it's time to wake up an old friend. I'll meet up with you later," Aiden said. Rose nodded and flew off leaving Aiden by the chamber. As he walked in he was met by two guards.
"Halt...! What are you here for?" The changeling guard asked.
"I require access to project 2337...The queen wants to summon the Skull," Aiden announced. The two looked at eachother and moved away from the entrance. Aiden nodded and entered the room. As he observed the room he saw crystal pods all lined up as far as the eye can see. But there was one crystal he was looking for and that was the one with the painted white skull on the front. He took a glanced at the pod and saw a changeling that looked different from all those in the kingdom. Aiden sighed and placed his hand on the crystal to awaken the master of all the changeling armies. A changeling with the body stricter of a stallion, has dark skin, a horn, a white spiked mane, and white eye pupil's with a crossbones tattoo on right shoulder.
"The time has come...we need you now in our time of need. Rise and come forth...White Skull," Aiden ordered.
The young changeling shot its eyes open and fell out of the pod. He progressively got and faced his commander face to face. White Skull was a bit different than his brothers and sisters, but hey...once a changeling, always a changeling.
"Aiden...what a surprise. And here i thought it was going to be Rose who woke me up," Skull said.
"Is that all you have to say to me or are you done with the smartmouthing?" Aiden chuckled. Skull yawned and stood up.
"So, what's up? I know you wouldn't' wake me unless you guy's needed my help," Skull said.
"Indeed...it has to do with the western point. I know you're still recovering but we really need your help," Aiden alleged. Skull nodded and went into the barracks to gear up. Aiden observed as the changeling commando placed on his armor, custom made by the smithy to help him.
"Never thought you looked good in that dark suit. Come on, best not keep the queen waiting," Aiden said. Skull looked up and clinched his fist to get a good feeling.
"Got it...let's go," Skull announced as he exit the room with Aiden. Skull knew he was still recovering, but he had to fight...It was time to bring in the big guns.

As the two walked down the halls Aiden and Skull ran into an old friend. It was a changeling who was a bit older. He had a scar on his left eye, his mane was short but gray and he looked as if he had wrestled with a bear.
"Ah, if it sin't commander Wolf. How are you?" Aiden asked.
"Tired...Sending me on a solo mission for three days; I better get a reward after this," Wolf said. White Skull had many mentors, but Wolf was one of the best the kingdom had to offer. Wolf saw Aiden standing beside Skull.
"Where you taking the kid?" Wolf asked. Skull nearly smiled for Wolf always teased him with that word.
"The queen requested his presence. She tends to send him to the western point," Aiden said. Wolf scoffed at Maidens words.
"So I take it the generals plans are falling apart?" Wolf asked.
"Appears so...and until the western point is in our control, White Skull is going to be sent in," Aiden alleged.
".....Is that so? Well, kid...Behave yourself out there and get us back up on our feet. We're all counting on you," Wolf said. Skull nodded and saluted.
"You can count on me commander," Skull said. Wolf smiled and walked off. Aiden and Skull then continued to walked to the war room where Queen Chrysalis was waiting.
"Well kid...this is it. Keep your head down, muzzle shut, and be prepared," Aiden announced. Skull drew in a deep breath and sighed, as he entered the room he was determined to help his family in anyway possible.
