"Come on Triton!" Aura cheered as she ran.

Triton and Aura were like two songbirds, always flying around, spreading their chirps of joy.

Aura Shine was a short, energetic filly, with a smile that would make the angriest grin with joy. Her blue mane was almost electrifying just from looking at it, her yellow coat being as warm and welcoming as her hazel eyes. The wind rushed through their manes, the leaves of fall getting tangled into the strands.

"Aura slow down!" Triton laughed, not being as fit to run as fast.

Triton Alabaster's mane was bold and uneven, the hot red mane keeping attention off of his brown eyes and clean white coat. And though he kept a sad neutral face, he was happy to hug anypony who needed it.

He sped up, rushing past the teacher and a few other colts before finally catching Aura, accidentally tripping into a pile of colorful leaves.

"Aura, are you okay?" Triton asked looking for the filly in the pile.

Aura popped up out of the pile, smiling gently. "I'm right here, silly."

Triton fell back in surprise, now not knowing weather to laugh or run off and continue the game of tag. Aura giggled profoundly, helping the colt up off of the ground.

"You're clumsy, too, aren't you?" She spoke softly, almost to herself now.

Triton blushed, not knowing if he should be embarrassed or flattered. "Uhh..th-thanks.." He stuttered, getting his tongue tied into a knot of love.

The bell rang, letting the colts and fillies know it was time to head back to their classes and wait for the dismissal bell to go home.

Mr. Strike, the science teacher, assigned the homework that night as:

"Does fire make it's own wind? Explain how."

That night Triton did his homework hastily, heading to Aura's house as soon as he could. He thought he had no reason to go over, but deep down, he knew he liked this filly.
