As I woke up, I noticed I was in a room of some sort. What had me confused was the collars of the walls were grey. As I looked around once more, I saw bars. Not the kind you work out on, but the kind that held prisoners. “Why was I in a jail cell?” Was the first thing that crossed my mind. After I got out of what looked like a bed, I looked at myself. Nothing seemed out of place, but something nagged at the back of my mind that something was wrong. After I walked to the jail cell door, I noticed that there were no guards. Which I thought was strange. I tried the door, but it was looked so I looked for a way to unlock it. After thoroughly searching my room, I found a bobby pin under my pillow. Once again I thought it was weird. After getting back to the locked door, I opened it after a few tries. Once again I looked at my surroundings. I saw a stairway going up and down. Not risking being caught, I went downwards. I found myself in a cave. And after going every which way, I found the exit. As soon as I stepped into the light, I saw I was just on the outskirts of a city. I decided to go away from it, as it was the place I was held captive.
Meanwhile back at the cell.
“Why do I have to check the only prisoner?” A guard said. “Well I best do it and get back… why is the door open? Fudge!!!” He said as he raced up the stairs.
Back to me
As I walked along the track, I suddenly heard an alarm. “Fudge. Better run.” I said before I ran away. As I ran, I saw a cave I could hide in and ran towards it. After hiding deep in the cave, I rested. “Hope they don’t find me here.” I said as I fell asleep.
I dreamed something strange that night. I was hiking when a pack of wolves approached me. I was known for helping the wolves. Once I even recued a pup from a river. They motioned me to follow them, so I did. I soon found what looked like a portal. “Strange do you know where it leads?” I asked. Only to get a whimper from the alpha. “Not taking any chances I see. Well only way to find out is to go in myself, I’ll be back before you know it.” I said as I entered the portal. That is were my dreamed ended. As I woke, I noticed I was in a mobile jail cell. “Great back in captivity.” I said sarcastically. Once I had a look around, I noticed the guards were sleeping. As I scratched my head as to what I could do, I felt something metal. “Please let it be another bobby pin.” I thought as I pulled it out. And indeed it was a bobby pin. “Score!” I quickly went to work on the lock. As soon as I opened it I made a b-line straight to a nearby forest. After I got a good ways into the forest, I relaxed. Then I heard a growl from nearby. “Looks like I’m going to be a midnight snack.” I said as a wooden wolf showed itself. I waited for the inevitable. But nothing happened. As I looked at the wooden wolf, it howled. “What is going on?” I thought. That’s when a voice spoke inside my head.
“It’s good to see you alive and well.” It said.
I was completely dumbfounded.
“Do you not remember your friends?” It said.
“No I can’t remember anything. All I know is that I’m wanted.” I replied.
“Such a shame. Do you want to know what happened?” The Voice said.
I thought about it for a while. “I would like to know.” I said.
“Very well, let’s sleep here, and go to our den in the morning.” The voice said.
And once again I fell asleep to a weird dream. I was in the town I was captured in. “Ready little buddy?” I asked to the wooden wolf on my back. He replied with a nod. “Remember, if things go downhill, I can always return you home.” And I meant that, I had developed a way to transport a living thing between two portals. Only setback was that the portal only stayed open for about a minute. I also brought along a piece of chalk as to outline where the portal would be. As I entered the throne room, my dream ended. After I woke up, I followed the wooden wolf to its lair. “Time to recap what happened in my dreams.” I thought as I walked along. “One, I am helpful to wolves no matter the kind. Two, I am not from here. Three, I was walking to the throne room of a castle to discuss something. Not sure what though.” I was pretty sure that would come in a later dream. For now I had to help in whatever way I could.
As soon as I reached their den, I noticed the wolves had a look of surprise. “Why am I so special to wolves?” I asked myself. That’s when a pup tackled me. He seemed to be licking me as if he was joyed to see me again. “It’s good to see you too.” I said. After the wolf backed off, I got a good look at him/her. It looked exactly like the wolf in my second dream. That’s when I remembered something. I was in the train headed for Canterlot, when I noticed my bag moving. Since I only had papers in them I wondered what mad them move. After I opened it I saw a scared wolf in my bag. “Hey little fellow, did you sneak into my bags?” I asked only to get a nod from him. “I can’t blame you, wanting to see the world? I can understand that. But your parents must be worried.”
“Don’t want to go back. Want to see rulers for self.” Came a voice in my head.
“Fine I let you see the rulers.” I said as I took him out of my bag and laid him besides me. That’s when I heard a voice say, “Is that a timber wolf?”
“So that’s what your kind is called. Never learned it till now.” I said to the pup. He looked scared. “Don’t worry I can always send you back if things get bad.”
“What are you talking about?” Asked a passenger.
“And why do you have that monster with you?” Asked another passenger.
“Well this little fellow seemed to sneak into my bags. I’m also a diplomat for these so called monsters.” I said. “And also I know a way to get this pup back to his den. It’s called teleporting.”
“But you’re not a unicorn.” Replied a passenger.
“I still have a way.” I replied.
That’s where my memory ended.
“I see I got you back safe and sound.” I said.
“Yes but you were gone for a long time.” Came a voice in my head.
“How long?” I asked.
“A full month.” Replied a different voice.
“I was out for that long? Fudge. Can I get an update as to what was happened?” I asked.
“No ponies came into the forest. If that’s what you’re asking.” Said the voice.
“Good. What about forest loss?” I asked.
“They stopped for about a week, than started again.” Replied the voice.
“Drat, anything else I should be aware of?” I asked.
“Not that I know of.” Replied the voice.
“Now can you tell me what happened before I was knocked out?” I asked.
“Very well but it is a long story.” Said the voice out loud. Unknown to us three fillies were watching. “It happened six weeks ago, you appeared in our den out of seemingly nowhere. You looked confused at first, but quickly helped us when we needed help. You were the only pony who never ran away, who always helped us, and who teach us in tactics. Three weeks ago you went to talk to the princess about expanding our forest.”
“The princess attacked you, you barely managed to get me back home after you were hit.” Said the pup.
“Do you know why they attacked me?” I asked.
“Sorry, all I know is that you talked with them. Then all of a sudden she attacked you.” Replied the pup. Then his ears flicked up. “They’re ponies nearby.”
“Come out and you won’t be harmed.” I said. After a minute three fillies came out of a nearby bush. “Now can you tell me how long you were there?”
“We heard the whole thing.” Replied the orange one.
“Next question is why are you here?” I asked.
“We saw our sisters go in the forest looking for you.” Replied the yellow one.
“And we decided to follow them.” Said the white one.
“Curiosity got you, huh? Can’t blame you, in fact, why don’t you tell them what you heard.” I said.
“Are you nuts?” Asked the alpha. They will tell them where you are!”
“That’s the point. When they come here, we’ll have the home field advantage.” I replied.
“You don’t mean?” Said the alpha part way though.
“If it comes to that.” I said.
“Uh what are you talking about?” Asked the orange one.
“Trust me you don’t want to know. Now don’t you have some sisters to get?” I said.
“Right!” All three said before going away.
