Memories

A small pegasus filly is woken up suddenly to the sound of sirens and loud banging on the door to her father's cabin. She looked around scared as she noticed the orangeish yellow lighting of flames coming from the outside of her bedroom door. Coughing from the smoke, she frantically tries to open her window to escape until it finally opens. She turns around to see the flames slightly coming under her door as she quickly grabbed her teddy bear and scurries out through the window, gliding down until she landed on the grass.

"Mommy! Daddy!" She coughed as she started to run as fast as she could to the group of ponies outside her home.

She caught up to a small mare, who noticed her, quickly guided her to a bench and sat her down. Before she could ask where her parents were a paramedic began checking her out for any possible wounds. He put a blanket around her to keep her warm, looking at her with a small warm smile but sadness in his eyes.

"Where's my mommy and daddy!" She cried holding her teddy bear to her chest, as tears started going down her cheeks.

He held her closely "everything's going to be alright..." He paused and sighed "mommy and daddy arn't here anymore..you were the only one who made it out"
