You open the fridge and quickly shut it after pulling out the milk. The power went out two days ago, so you figure you might as well enjoy the perishable food while it lasts. You pour the last of the milk into your small tin cup and take a drink. It's not cold anymore, but its lukewarm creaminess soothes your dry throat. You lick your lips, enjoying the flavor, before turning to the lit fireplace.
