Princess Twilight Sparkle had it all: true friends, the respect of royalty, and even the love of Equestria's citizens.

So what happens when one day the other Princesses are discovered dead? What will Twilight do when the entirety of Equestria turns against her and deem her a traitorous murderer, believing her to be the only pony capable of striking down three Princesses at once?

It isn't long before Twilight is stripped of her royal status and expected to be carrying out her death sentence a week after. But that isn't all she lost, though, for she also lost the very thing she had represented before as a Princess.

Friendship.

Will Twilight be able to convince her friends – and ultimately, all of Equestria – that she is innocent? Most importantly, will she be able to figure out the true mastermind behind the Princesses' murder?

This story takes place in an alternate universe where the Mane Six never returned the Elements of Harmony back to the Tree and found another way to stop the vines. This specific "way" will be discussed in the story, so don't worry.
