That One Time We Built A Portal To Equestria
Chapter One: Mentally Unfit for Society
"What? Repeat that." John asked, puzzled by this odd question his friend had just asked him.
"What if we decided to build a portal to Equestria?" David asked again, Hoping this time it went through.
John stopped making his morning Oatmeal and stared at David "Why are you asking me this?"
The two were standing in the kitchen of a two-story home with two bedrooms Three bathrooms,a living room, and a kitchen.
"Because I thought you would be quite interested in it." David claimed shifting his gaze between the Oatmeal and John.
"David, half the things you tell me are physically impossible, I doubt this one is any different." John countered, making sure to add a pinch of cinnamon to the oatmeal.
"I Bet you if I set my mind to it, i could build one,All it takes is a bit of concentration." David said,unfortunately on deaf ears as John set the Oatmeal in the microwave to cook a few minutes more, the Oatmeal had been oddly cold today, John was sure it probably expired a month ago.
"David, if your were to try to build a portal to Equestria you would have two problems."
"Those are?"
"One, you don't know HOW to build a portal to Equestria, And two, it would cost Thousands of dollars that you don't have." John listed off as the microwave beeped it's chime "Ahh, smells amazing"
"Wouldn't it be amazing if I could?" David asked with a bit of sorrow in his voice.
"David, don't try it, I'm not going to fall for puppy eyes again, last time I did. I landed in the hospital!"
David put on the most enormous puppy eyes in the atmosphere of the Earth, They were so large the Author could barely describe them with out giving himself Brain cancer.
John looked at his companion and flinched as the eyes stared into his very soul. This was almost all he could take, he may soon break from the unrelenting force of the infamous puppy eyes."Fine! I'll humor you and your little "Portal" thing, but if you go overboard, I'm not going to keep it up.
And so our Hero's journey began
But before I tell you that story, I must tell you this story.....
Two boys were born on the same day, October the third, in the same hospital, Mercy Hospital. In rooms 237 and 238.
One of these boys was born silent, shifting his gaze between the doctors and the parents, letting out a patient sigh to let them know he was alive.
The other boy was born laughing, a noise like a cannon sounded and a baby was born, laughing.
These two boys were named John Doe and David Miller.
Circa 5 years later......
John was stacking blocks into a box shape, nothing more, nothing less. And David was behind him playing with an airplane, a red one to be exact.David decided to let the plane fly, so he threw it and incidentally , it landed in the block square, completely and utterly pissing John off, John obtained a block and righteous anger and threw it at David, Hitting him right in the forehead David, being the thick skull-ed humanoid he was, took it as an act of kindness and smiled and laughed.
And so there friendship was born
