The Blast
It was early afternoon in Ponyville. The day went nicely so far. Ponies trotting about and attending to appointments. A grey mailmare clumsily doing her rounds about the town. Music fluttering from a cellist in Town Square. A white unicorn dancing to her tunes blasting in through headphones. The park atop the highest hill was quiet except for two arguing voices.
"I thought you'd bring the drinks!" Said a cool grey mare to a rainbow haired pegasus.
"Rarity, I never agreed to that!" The pegusus said furiously.
"Rainbow take responsibility for the fact that you said you'd bring them, and as per usual forgot!" Shouted Rarity fed up with her friend's incompetence. She forced a smile upon seeing an cheery, pink, mare.
"Hey girls, where's everypony else?" The mare exclaimed in her typical bouncy tone. Rarity shrugged. She didn't know where they were.
"I think Twilight's trying to gather her things. Fluttershy is feeding her animals. And I believe Aj is telling Applebloom to behave." Rainbow said almost as if she knew for a fact. But that wasn't always the case. Last time she tried that it was affirmed to be false..
"Rainbow you don't posess Pinkie sense.-" She paused to grab out a blanket for them to sit upon "-Only Pinkie Pie here can do that."
"That's true. Though Cheese Sandwich has his cheesy sense." Pinkie said triumphantly. Rarity rolled her eyes.
"Let me get the drinks then..." Rainbow said, and -without waiting for an answer- flew off to gather the beverages.
Rarity returned to pulling out silverware and plates. As well as cups.
"Need any help girls?" Said a familiar voice. Pinkie gasped and shouted.
"TWILIGHT!" Pinkie quickly hugged Twilight.
"Did I miss something?" She asked to Rarity.
"No, you didn't miss anything." Was her simple reply.
They then got to work on setting up. Rainbow returned with Fluttershy. While they all waited for Applejack. They got to talk about everyone's little hobbies. They each got a chance to talk about them. That's when Aj arrived. Speaking about her hobby being around family. Her love for them was awfully strong. Almost as strong as her bucking.
They all began having a nice lunch. Fluttershy had brought her own food. A nice fruit salad. Rarity had a lettuce and tomato sandwich. Rainbow had a oatburger and hay fries. Twilight had a salad consisting of daisies. Applejack had a couple fritters. Pinkie had mainly muffins. They talked and such. Until Rarity saw something in the sky. A bright light. Her eyes widened.
Suddenly there was a bright flash. The girls screamed and soon fell unconscious. The light faded. Leaving 6 mares unconscious and a city in horror.
