ey Silver Badge, we got some youngster out to cause some trouble again." The young stallion by the name of 'Dusty Prints' informed the head officer.

The gruff brown stallion turned around, his joints sore, his crows feet and wrinkles showing his age and years of his work, a cigar hanging out of his mouth he raised his eyebrow. "Oh? Well bring him in then Dusty, I know you're new to the force but you can't come in and Just say, I'm old ya know, can't run out of the office as fast as I used to be able to." He said giving a low deep chuckle.

Dusty nodded and tipped his officer cap and trotted out of the room, only to return a few moments later with a black coated blue eyed young stallion shackled, a teenager in a dirty black hoodie, skinny, almost to the point of bones, his mane black, filthy, and matted, and a blank flank."

Silver shifted his gaze to Dusty. "And what are the charges?" He inquired.

"Theft, he was seen bolting from the market with a bag of apples before he tripped and fell, the stumble was enough for officers to catch him." Dusty said matter of factly, flicking though his notepad, "not his forst offense either, he has quite the rec-"

Silver interjected "Enough, leave me with him for questiong Dusty." Dusty gave a nod and walked out closing the door behind him. "What's your name, son?" The old stallion said sitting in his chair, grunting as he did.

The young stallion stayed silent. Silver sighed and took a puff of his cigar. "Look, can you just say your name? I want to at least get a name for the files."

The stallion looked up. "Right to remain silent." He said with his face emotionless.

"Haha, celestia I thought no one listened to that jibber jabber. Look son, I want to help at least get you in the right place ya know?  Can you say where your parents are for questioning?" He asked taking the lit cigar out of his mouth and into his ash tray.

"Hell if I know." The stallion shrugged.

The officer stayed quite. "Ah, my apologies. Can I get a name, off the record."

The stallion sighed. "Keen, Keen Observation, sir."

Silver smiled. "There we are, Now please take a seat." He motioned towards a wooden chair in front of the desk. Keen sat down and looked at Silver.

"Now, may I ask about the family issues?" Silver questioned looking keen in the eyes.

"Not much to tell, Dad's just a dealer and my mother is just a pixie dust junkie, just woke up one day to find them gone, I found was a note saying how the bank was going to take the old shitty house back and they owed money, decided to cut a mouth to feed." Keen gritted his teeth with anger and took a breath in.

"I'm sorry to hear that, how long have you been out on the street?" Silver asked, genuinly feeling bad for the young stallion.

"Two years..." Keen answered quitely.

"Okay, do you have any place at all that you can go t-" Silver said before a husky stallion in a police uniform bust in.

"SILVER! Woah man you arn't gonna bielive this! It involves the Lady Mare murder case!" The stallion said, almost out of breathe.

Silver sighed. "Excuse me,Keen. I have to look at this, do you kind following me and sitting on the bench?" Silver proposed.

Keen shrugged and stood up, the officer led Silver into the main office with all of the other ponies, including dusty. A corkboard stood in the middle of the room set up with pictures of two stallions one a unicorn, the other a pegisus, a nicely dressed mare with a red circle around the picture, a picture of a bloody knife, and in a baggy with a movie ticket torn in half.

Keen sat down and quitly watched as the scene unfolded. "Ok so Silver remember this guy?" The husky pony said pointing at a picture of the pagisus."

Silver nodded as the pony continued. "You see this movie ticket was found in his trash, now considering Lady Mare was found stabbed to death in the bathroom, three times in the chest, now looking at her ticket he was in the same the same time as her as the two tickets were from the same time, and in the same place."

Silver raised his eyebrow. "That can make sense, i suppose we should bring him in for quest-"

"It was the unicorn." Keen interuprted from the bench.

The entire office of police officer turn towards him. "Excuse me?" Silver asked raising an eyebrow.

Keen stammered. "T-the unicorn is the killer of the mare..."

"What makes you say it's the unicorn, not the pegisus?" He asked, wondering what Keens response will be.

Keen gulped. "Well, I've seen them both before. The pegisus works at the movie house as a ticket taker, and the unicorn is the manager." He answered.

There are two reasons why it can't be the pegisus;

One: If you look at the ticket of the movie house the paper is darker than normal, and is curling on the edges." He answered pointing his shackled hoof towards the ticket.

"What does that have to do with anything?" A officer asked.

"7ebrow as Dusty came in. "Sir, it checks out, he wasn't there."

"Interesting...." Silver commented before asking Keen another question. "But what was the give away of the unicorn?" He asked.

"That's simple, remember the tickets darken and curl with magic, he is the only unicorn that works that and can get the tickets easily, get in and out even if he doesn't have a ticket. Also the weapon and how she was killed." Keen pointed out, they're eyes widening as he continued. "You see she was stabbed in the chest, the only ponies that can stab there is a unicorn using the magic as a way to hold the weapon, and the handle has no teeth marks, a earth pony would have to hold ot in their teeth, and even then they can only slash, not stab."

"What about motive?!" A officer asked.

"The ticket taker was lazy, as well as came in drunk a lot from what I've seen, and him and the manager never got along, the murder was to frame him and get him arrested and out of there." Keen sat back in the bench.

"But why wouldn't he just be fired?" Asked Dusty.

"Blackmail, you see I used to pop in there a lot and would see a few mares come in dressed nicely and join the manager in his office...the manager that is married. The ticket taker probably knew and threatened to tell his wife. That victim is ome of those mares, a call mare. As buttered saw it, someone he saw as having no value, just a call mare, he could kill her, frame his employee, and never have to worry about his wife finding out about the affair."

They all stared in shock. "Arrest the unicorn Buttered Popcorn and bring him in for questioning..." Silver demanded, the cops rushing into action at his request
