Day 1- new friends, sleepovers, and Sunset
Hi, my name is Dawning blaze. Well my friends call me Dawn and I am a new student at CHS and I am really alone this year, you know why? It’s because my mom’s back home and my dad... Let’s not talk about that shall we? It was a fine Monday morning, I was walking down a really quiet street while texting my mom
“Hey mom how you doing?” I texted while thinking on what to type next.
“How’s sparky? Is he doing okay?” A smile grew on my face.
“Man this is a rather quiet street” I whispered to myself and looked up the road.
*BEEP*
*BEEP*
*BEEP*
I looked at my cell phone to see what the message was.
“Hey son! Sparky’s doing okay and he really misses you.” I locked my cell phone and putted it in my bag.
*BUMP*
I suddenly bumped someone.
“Oh! Sorry I did not look where I was going.” I quickly kneeled down to help the girl pick up her books.
“Nah its okay we all make mistakes” the girl smiled at me.
“Sunset shimmer” she shook my hand.
“Dawn” I smiled also.
“Are you a student at CHS?” she questioned me.
“Yes, a new student exactly” I answered.
“Wanna walk together?” She stared at me with a smirk.
“Hmm, oh okay sure” I scratched the back of my head with a smile.
“So where are you from?” she questioned me.
“Oh just a block from here, so can you tell me all about CHS?” I answered.
“You’re really gonna love it at CHS.” After a lot of explaining, we arrived at CHS.
“So friends?” Sunset smiled and pulled out a hand.
“Friends” I shook her hand and left.
“Oh man, what could possibly go wrong!” I thought while smiling a little.
Meanwhile where sunset shimmer is...
(Sunset’s Pov)
“HEY SUNSET!!” I heard a voice calling out to me.
“Hi girls! Long time no see, How you all been doing?” I smiled.
“It’s been great!” A.J said with a smile and thumbs up.
“It was um okay” Fluttershy whispered a little bit higher.
“TOTALLY AWESOME!!” Rainbow dash shouted.
“It was super-duper GREAT!” Pinkie pie also shouted.
“It was great too darling” Rarity said with a smile.
“Well I had a great time too” I smiled.
“So what did you do the whole summer?” Rainbow said.
“But I’ll tell you on the way” I opened the door leading inside the school
(Dawn’s Pov)
“Good morning students please go to your proper seats” I sat in my chair while listening to the teacher.
“My name is Cheerilee, Welcome back to CHS everyone!” Cheerilee shouted.
“But before we get started... You will be partnered so you may go choose your partners now in

‘GO!!’
All of us stood up and ran to their potential partners but before I can take a step. Sunset approached me.
“Hey Dawn! Do you want to be partners? Well if you don’t mind.” I was shocked that I was the first one that she wanted to be partners with.
“Oh um sure, we can be partners“ I smiled.
“uhh Sunset do you want to be partners?” I heard a voice.
“Oh Flash! I did not know you were going to ask me but I already have a partner, His name is Dawn, He’s a new student and we’re friends.” Sunset smiled at me with her eyes closed. “
Y-yeah right” I was just going with what she said.
“Oh okay I’ll see you later I guess.”
It was pretty obvious that he was trying to hold his anger and grudge against me. “Uh Sunset why did you pick me instead of Flash?” I was really confused.
“*Sigh* he’s my ex.” She whispered to me.
“Oh sorry I asked.” I was so embarrassed of what I asked.
“Nah it’s okay.” she playfully punched my shoulder.
“Okay students please go to your proper seats.” Cheerilee smiled as always.
“So students, the reason why I partnered you is because you are going to be helping each other with projects, assignments, etc. And this will be for the whole year!” She Held her hands up in the air.
“Okay class please right your name and your partner’s in a piece of paper and put all of it in this box, I will collect it later.” Cheerilee shouted.
After a while
*RING*
*RING*
*RING*
“It’s lunch time finally!” I thought as I went to the cafeteria. I was still thinking about Sunset’s decision about earlier when she picked me over her ex when I was getting my food.
“Man I hope Flash will not think I’m special to sunset.” I whispered as I sat to the table I spotted earlier then I ate my burger fast as possible ‘cause I would like to finish eating early.
“Mmm that was delicious!”
“Do you mind if is sit here.”
I was interrupted by sunset while I whispering to myself.
“Oh sure I don’t mind really!” I smiled.
“Thanks you really are a friend!” She smiled back at me.
“Would you like to meet my other friends?” she bit on her apple.
“Oh yes! I would be happy to meet your friends!” I smiled.
(Sunset’s Pov)
“I think there done getting their food; I’ll go and call them.” I waved goodbye as I left the table.
“Hey girls I want you to meet my new friend.” I greeted my friends and pointed at Dawn’s table.
“THAT WOULD BE SUPER DUPER GREAT!” Pinkie shouted in excitement.
“Anyway ‘wanna go meet him?” I smiled.
“SURE!” Pinkie shouted again.
(Dawn’s Pov)
I munched at my burger trying to ignore everything else.
“Hey Solstice! I want you to meet my friends.” Sunset sat on the table with her friends.
“Hmm? Oh! Sorry I didn’t see you there, names is Dawn.” I was embarrassed that I did not see them in front of me.
“Girls, meet Dawn.” Sunset told her friends.
“So darling are you new here at CHS?” The purple haired girl grinned at me with her face sided and her eyes looking at me.
“Umm yeah and who are you?” I looked back at her.
“I’m Rarity and this is Rainbow dash, Pinkie pie, Fluttershy, and this here is Applejack.” Rarity introduced her friends to me.
“N-nice to meet you all I’m Dawn.” I was hesitating to say anything because I was surrounded by girls… GIRLS! I’m not really comfortable if there are more girls than boys.
“Umm Dawn? Are you okay? You seem to be really quiet there.” I didn’t notice that they noticed me being really quiet.
“Oh! Sorry I was just thinking about something.” I scratched the back of my head. “Anyway I was thinking we should totally have a sleepover!” Pinkie pie smiled so big that it looks like she can bite of someone’s head.
“We should totally do that!” Rainbow grinned.
“where’s the meeting place?” I bit my apple.
“At pinkie’s house!” Sunset grinned.
“Umm we better get going to classes before we are late.” I packed all my things.
(yes that’s right I carry my books with me to the cafeteria).
After school has ended I was heading home and yes I had to walk to the quiet street again .
(Just abandoned buildings cuz’ it’s much more near to the school).
Later that night.
*CLICK*
I opened the door and opened the lights.
“Ahh. Finally, first day is now done.” I sat on my couch to rest for a little bit.
“Well time to pack my stuff for the slumber party.” I thought to myself while getting up my couch and took out my bag.
“Jacket, toothbrush, toothpaste, some pyjamas, my cell phone, and of course my sleeping-“
*DING-DONG*
I was interrupted by a doorbell.
“Coming” I opened the door only to see Sunset. “S-sunset?! How did you find my apartment?” I questioned.
“I live across the hall and I saw you going here.” She smiled.
“So are you all set?” She tilted her head to see what’s behind me.
“Yup all set. Let me just turn off the lights and lock the door.” And so I did.
As we were walking, Sunset was busy writing in her book with a yellow and orange (or red) sun.
“Hey sunset let me carry that bag for you.” I reached out my hand for the bag.
“Oh! No it’s okay I can handle it I’m fine really.” She exclaimed.
“No, I insist.” I took the bag out of her hands and carried it beside mine.
“So you can focus on your um writing.” I smirked. Only to see she was really busy with her writing
*DING-DONG*
*DING-DONG*
*DING-DONG*
I pressed the doorbell 3 times really fast
“MMM MMMM MM!” I saw Pinkie pie stuffing her face with tons of cookies.
“Umm what?” I scratched my head but I was guessing that she was letting us come in because she was pointing her hand inside her house.
(not her fingers)
“So, where’s the room?” I asked.
“It’s just near the corner there.” Sunset pointed the door leading to the room.
“Hmm, this room is really small.” I put down my stuff beside the end table and took out my sleeping bag and laid it at the front of the end table.
“So what’s for dinner?” I sat on my sleeping bag and taking off my shoes “Pizza.” A.J smirked at me.
“PIZZA’S REEAADDYY!!” Pinkie pie came bashing through the door.
“Umm you girls go ahead I have to do somethin’ first.”
“W-why am I even doing this! I’m having a sleepover with girls! I mean what will the guys say about this. But this is just an opportunity for me to make friends and I’m not complaining.”
“What’s wrong sugarcube you seem really paralyzed there.” Applejack’s hand reached my shoulder and frowned.
“AH! Oh sorry I was just thinking something.” Applejack grinned at me.
“You’ve said that a lot of times now Dawn, Is something wrong?” She frowned but then her frown turned into a grin.
“Or maybe you’re thinking about someone?” She twitched her eyebrows at me.
“WWHAAT?! NO! I’m not thinking of anything or especially ANYONE!” I stood up and went downstairs.
“Are you sure?” I sat on the table and leaned on the table.
“Then why do you’re sorrowed?” She sat on the table while I sat on the other side.
“Yeah, Applejack’s right your sorrow is obvious.” A.J went to help Pinkie pie with cooking.
“Hey, um can you help me.” Fluttershy was carrying plates with utensils.
“Oh let me help you with that Fluttershy.” I quickly got off the table and took half of the plates and the utensils and placed them on the table.
“T-thank you Dawn!” She sat down on the table beside Rarity.
“I’ll go see what they are cookin’ I’ll be right back.” I went to the kitchen and greeted A.J, Sunset, and Pinkie.
“Hey girls, what’s for dinner?” I took a peek at the boiling pot that was filled with rice.
“Hmm, just a turkey, cake.” After a lot of food listing “and finally some cookies.” she turned off the stove and took the pot and placed it on the table. I thought It was just pizza?” I sat beside Fluttershy.
“Oh that was just an appetizer.”
“Soo where’s Rainbow dash?” I took off the lid of the pot and served rice on every plate.
“I don’t know, maybe she’s still packi-.” A.J was interrupted by a knock at the door.
“Hey girls! And Dawn Rainbow dash is here!” Rainbow opened the door and dashed to the table.
“Oh hi Rainbow dash what took you so long?” Pinkie pie sat beside Rainbow.
After we all sat down and ate I wanted to tell them somethin’ important some... event that happened last year.
“Hey um girls I’ve been meaning tell ask you this...” I showed them pictures that I took.
“H-how did you got all this?” Rarity covered her mouth with her hands because she was shocked while the others were just shocked and speechless.
“Well, first of all I was a photographer on a job to collect some news, then I heard music playing just outside another city, and I was drawn to it and I found these 3 pics, oh and I took these 3 last last year, then this other one when I came back I took this 4th pic.” I took the pics and placed them in my pocket.“
So is there somethin’ you’re not telling me?” I raised an eye brow with a Hmm.
“Fine, you found our little secret so basically this what happened two years and last year ago.” After a long discussion about their little secret we went to the room and slept.
“I guess the day’s over now.”
“I have new friends.”
“But I feel something’s missing.”
“Nah. Nothing’s missing?”
“Right?”
I heard an alarm clock ringing near my face as I woke up slowly.
“H-huh? What?” The alarm clock was still ringing at my face as I opened my eyes only to see pinkie smiling while holding the alarm clock to my face. I grabbed it and turned it off
“Pinkie!? Why’d you wake me up?” Pinkie backed away from me and sat on the bed grinning closed and her head was tilted.
“W-why are you looking at me like that?”
“Oh nothin’ it’s just that you were dreaming talking.” I stood up and sat beside Pinkie.
“What are you talkin’about?”
“Well all I heard was that something’s missing and some other mumbly words.” She got up and went downstairs while I was still sitting, thinking about what I said while I was asleep.
“What was Pinkie saying? I don’t talk when I’m asleep or maybe?” I quickly got up and took my cell out of my bag, unlocked it and checked my entries.

Finally! Finally! I got my invitation to CHS! But... I have another invitation to Crystal prep. Which should I pick? I know a girl in Crystal prep that told me everything about it. Well everything she said makes me want to go there but after what I heard about that “event” that happened last year... Should I? Maybe I’ll go to CHS

After that I found a picture of the “event” last year and a picture of a map leading to somewhere I don’t know. But I should take care of what is happening right now.
“I should go and see what’s for breakfast” I thought before I got up and went downstairs. “So what’s for breakfast?” After I went downstairs, gathered plates, utensils, placed them, and sat down on one booth.
“Some bacon, eggs, and cider...” A.J yawned and stretched her arms and leaned on the table.
“You still sleepy A.j?” I gestured
“Iyup.” A.J yawned again and suddenly fell asleep
“Yup you are still sleepy.” I rolled my eyes and grinned. I also tapped on her head
“A.J is really tired cuz’ I saw rainbow kicking her head before I went to sleep.
“I did not!” Rainbow hissed and sat beside A.J and placed her legs on the table.
“Rainbow! That is not a good manner, take those feet off!” Rarity pushed Rainbow’s feet off the table and yawned too.
“You’re sleepy too Rarity?” I leaned on the table and stared at the window
“Yes dear I did not get my beauty sleep because Rainbow here kept snoring and snoring really loud.” Rarity replied
“Breakfast’s ready!” Sunset came walking through the kitchen holding a pot filled with rice. Followed by Pinkie pie holding a plate with eggs and bacon. “So um did any of you besides A.J and Rarity got any sleep last night?” I scooped a serving and started eating.
“So um why did you even invite me to your sleepover?” My voice was mumbled with food. Ate some more.
“Well first of all was to welcome you to CHS and as our friend silly!” Pinkie swooned
“Have you forgotten the cider Pinkie?” Rainbow changed the subject and grabbed 6 bottles of ciders underneath the table and started drinking.
“Oh yeah.”
“So after this want to get some desserts?” I pointed at an ice cream store
“Ice cream? It’s too early for ice cream.” Pinkie drank cider and stared at the ice cream store outside.
“It should milkshakes!”
“Milkshake? Where are we gonna get those?” I replied
“Right here of course!” Rainbow pointed at the counter.
“Wait this is a milkshake store?!” I stared across the shop and the blinded windows and a sign near the door
“Why? Did you not notice before?” Sunset gestured
“Uh yeah I didn’t.”
“Well then I’ll go make some milkshakes while you do whatever you want to do.” Pinkie dashed to the kitchen and started prepping.
“Well I better go upstairs and umm do stuff...” I went upstairs after putting my plate at the sink.

After I packed my bed and stuff, washed, and played games with Rainbow dash. It was dessert time.
“mmm! You’re really good at making milkshakes Pinkie!” I slurped at my milkshake.
“Nah it’s nothing Dawn your welcome.” Pinkie replied with a smirk.
Afterward I went home and texted my mom.
“Hey mom I have been hanging out with some friends and They’re really great! I mean they welcomed me to CHS and as they’re friend by inviting me to a sleepover!”
I waited for my cell to ring. And turned on the TV to ignore everything else.
“Hey son! Thanks for the update about your experience on CHS. Keep on making friends Dawn!” My cell rang and found I that message but then someone knocked at the door.
“Who is it?” I went for the door and opened it.
“Hey dawn... Can I stay here for a while?” I was surprised that Sunset came to my apartment telling if she could stay here
“W-why are you here Sunset? I locked my cell and hid it in my bag.
“Well long story short I got kicked out of my apartment because I don’t have any money and thought that I could share space with you. If it’s okay with you.”
“Umm yeah sure I can share some space with you.” I smirked and turned off the TV.
“T-thanks Dawn!” She hugged me real tight while I was just stunned for a little.
“Well do you want to share the bed or do you have a bed roll?” She let go of me and took her bags and placed it near a bookshelf of mine.
“Well I don’t have my own bed roll so I guess I’ll share the bed with you.” She unpacked her bags and sat on the couch.
“Want something to eat?” I opened the fridge and took out a bowl of assorted sliced fruits and started eating.
“Yeah I could use something to eat.” She took a fork in my bowl and we shared on the fruit bowl.
“You live here all by yourself?” She stared across the room seeing it so small.
“Yeah I do why?” I questioned.
“nothin’ just noticed.” She replied.
“Anyway do we have any assignments?”
“Just some math problems, should be easy enough.” She pulled out her math book and started calculating on the problems.
“Anyway I’ll go to the kitchen and um cook dinner.” I dashed to the kitchen and prepped ingredients.
“H-hey Dawn I was thinking did you love someone before? Like did you have a special someone?” I was shocked while I was cooking about what Sunset said.
“Why ask?”
“Well I noticed you keep saying that you were just thinking about something.”
“Yeah I have been saying that a lot but don’ I’m thinking that deep!” I added a pinch of salt to my fish and tossed in the pan.
“Forget I said anything.”
“Anyway the fish is half cooked so would you be kind enough to set up the table?” I took the fried fish from the pan and placed it on a plate and tossed another fish on the pan.
“Where are the plates?” She went to the kitchen and went to get plates and utensils.
“Wahh!” Sunset slipped because my floor was slippery but luckily I caught her. But then again I caught her facing eye to eye and we were both blushing at each other and our eyes locked at each other.
“S-sorry I caught you like this Sunset.” I quickly let go of her and we both turned back and cleared our throats.
“A-are you okay Sunset?” I asked.
“Y-yeah I’m fine Dawn, thank you I guess.” After that I heard nothing.
“Anyway I have to go back to cooking you should go back to setting up the table.” Sunset kept blushing as she took the plates and walked out of the kitchen.
My cell phone rang and played a voice message...
“Hey Dawn... Heard you’re a new student here at CHS and your already having sleep over with girls huh, any way we should meet at the park, get to know each other, at 6 o’clock.”
*click*
A mysterious voice that sounded like it was trying to sound sinister and trying to hide its real voice. I looked at the clock only to see it’s just 5:51 PM.
“Dinner’s ready!” After several minutes, I made my way to the kitchen carrying the hot pot with my pot holder’s and my awesome chef’s hat and apron!
“Dinner already? But its just 5:53!” she sat on the right side of the table while her opened mouth smile stained on her face with an eyebrow raised.
“Um yeah! I need to go somewhere, some dude wanting to meet with me. Kinda like Flash though.
“Yup, it’s Flash I overheard a plan of Flash and his friends setting up a trap or somethin’... I’m coming with you.” I served Sunset rice and soup
“Why? But he asked only me.” I served myself with some rice and soup too.
“Trust me things won’t go the same with their plan if I’m with you.” She gestured.
“Anyway how’s my soup?” I served some more rice and soup for me and Sunset.
“It’s great! Where did you learn to cook?” she slurped at the soup on her plate with a spoon.
“From my mom and... Dad...” My smile turned into a frown because I don’t really want to be reminded about my dad.
“What’s the matter Dawn? You okay?” Sunset touched my chin, lifting my head to gaze upon my eyes with a frown.
“Oh... It’s nothing really...”
“You sure? C’mon you can tell me.” Her frown turned into a smirk and playfully punched my shoulder.
“Well about my dad... H-he died during an incident...”
“Uh-huh.” Sunset rested her head on my lap gazing on my eyes.
“When I was a kid, me and dad were heading home at night. But I did not know that he was drunk. My dad was always drinking because mom and dad had argued over my future high school. But mom got the best of dad so took me and forced me to go to a bar.” I tried to hold my tears from falling on sunset.
“Wait he forced you?”
“Yeah he did. Then he drank all of the bar’s stock literally! He even made me drink a whole bottle!” A tear dropped at Sunset.
“Don’t cry Dawn.” The tear dropped on Sunset’s cheek but she scrubbed it off with her hand.
“Then I was a little drunk but still had balance. My dad... He shouted curses about mom and then he punched the horn really hard the other turned off cars went flashing and alarming. Then it happened... He forgot about me and rammed the car on a fuel truck.” I continued
“How did you survive?” Sunset took out a hanky and scrubbed my tears
“I’m getting to that; I tried to stop dad by trying to take his hands off the steering wheel but no use. Then after the car hit the truck it exploded. There was fire everywhere! They told me I was fainted when they found me.”
“How did you know all this?”
“They showed me the footage of the CCTV camera and interrogated me about the incident. I said that all I remember was my dad was drunk and there was nothing I could do to stop him.
“How did you get back home?”
“Luckily I still remembered my landline.” Sunset scrubbed my face again.
“I’m really sorry Dawn I didn’t know.” She got up and hugged me real tight.
“But past it the past we have to go to the park and confront Flash.” Me and Sunset got up and got ready.
“What are you gonna wear? I’m gonna wear a hoodie.” I took out my grey hoodie.
“This!” I turned around to see what Sunset was gonna wear, only to see the same.
“Okay let’s go!” I turned off the lights and went to the park with Sunset.
‘What am I gonna expect at the park since Flash holds a grudge.’
‘I’m gonna be fine.’
‘Right?’
