Exiled soldiers
Formation
Previous ChapterNext ChapterKen was waiting in the gun range, waiting for the other fire team leaders. He knew it was short notice, yeah, but still, Roland and Emily had made sure they weren't busy. The first to arrive was Bella. "Hey, Ken," she said as she walked in, armor on. "What's up?"
"Once everyone gets here,Bella," Ken said. "Other than what they need to be here, though, nothing much, except Twilight now has wing blades and is apparently a princess."
"Seriously?" she replied, and Ken could hear the raised eyebrow.
"I know it sounds crazy, but when you next see Twilight, you'll see what I mean."
"Whatever you say," Bella said sarcastically.
"So, what's going on with you?"
"Nothing much," Bella said. "Though I was a little freaked when Roland said you wanted to speak with me."
"Well, that's-"
"I was in the shower."
"Oh," Ken said. "Sorry about that." There was awkward silence for a while. "So. . . were you lucky enough that no one else was there when you had to get out?"
"Fortunately, yes," Bella said. "So, who else?"
"Marcus and Brendon," Ken said.
Just as he said this, the other two walked in, armor on as well. Marcus had on the Fenrir unchained armor and helmet on, talking.
"I'm just saying, why the hell would they make armor only companies can get," Marcus was saying. "I mean, yeah, I get the A.I. in them can make you go crazy, but there are such things called fire teams."
"Because of the commendation system," Brendon said. "Don't get me wrong, the company commendation system is stupid, but still."
"Well, we can talk about it later," Marcus replied. "Hey, Ken, Bella."
"Hey, Marcus, Brendon," Ken said. "Thanks for coming."
"No problem," Brendon said. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
"I wanted to see if you guys wanted to start up a Spartan company," Ken said. "I already talked with the rest of my team, and they said if you guys were for it, so were they."
"Well, I know I'm okay with it, and so's the rest of Wolf," Marcus said.
"Yeah, same with Domino," Brendon said.
"Riptide, I'm not sure about," Bella said, shrugging. "Never brought up before, even when the companies were first announced."
"Right," Ken said. "But, if they do, we'll need a name for the company."
"Well, how about naming it after what makes it unique," Marcus said. "That's to say, Twilight and the others."
"So, what do you suggest, then," Brendon said.
"I don't know, I'm just throwing something out there."
"I guess that would work," Ken said. "Let's not go Fantasy company, though. Too many ways to take it, only one being what we mean."
"Oh yeah," Bella said. "Dragon Company?"
"Taken," Marcus said. "And not many people know what a changeling is, so that's a no."
"Well," Brendon said, "and please, feel free to say no, but how about Unicorn company? I mean, that's what Twilight is, right?"
Ken raised a finger, evident he was about to say something, before he stopped, and put it on his chin. "No, but that's due to what happened a few days ago in the gym. You guys hear about that?"
"Yeah, I know I did," Bella said. "What about it."
"In short, Twilight now has wings because Halsey and a few medical class soldiers put a gene in that had been removed, which, and this what Twilight called it, made her an alicorn. Which is essentially royalty where she comes from."
"So she's a, quote unquote," Brendon said, "alicorn, now?"
"Yeah, why?" Ken asked.
"Simple. That's what we'll call the damned company," he replied. "Now, what will we do for the emblem?"
"Well, the primary's got to be a lavender unicorn head," Bella said, agreeing with what the company would be called. But what about the secondary part of it?"
"How about a shield," Marcus asked. "As for the color? Well, how about black and green?"
"That. . . could work," Ken said. "Hey, Em, can you get Roland?"
"Already here, Spartan," Roland said before his avatar appeared. "So, are you all sure you want to start a company?"
"Yeah," Marcus said.
"Same," Brendon said.
"I'd still need to talk with the rest of riptide," Bella said.
"I talked with them about while you four were discussing everything, actually," Roland said. "They're good with it."
"Then I guess riptide's a part of the company, then."
"Hell yeah," Ken said.
"In that case, a req pack will be in your Req Accounts, Spartans," Roland said. "Oh, and, as you started a company, you'll be given a room for you all to socialize and relax between games and missions."
"Well, I don't know about the others, but i need to go see the rest of my team, so show them where to go," Ken said. As he went to leave the room, he said, "Also, first meeting once everyone's there."
