King Sombra has returned. Everypony thought he was dead, never to resurface. Yet, here he is, in his full pony form once more.

The fallen King had many desires, but one stood out among them all.

He wanted to be an alicorn.

He knew there was a spell to give a pony wings, or a horn. He knew, because it had happened twice now.

Princess Cadence and Princess Twilight were both transformed into alicorns.

He needed to get the spell from one of them, or at least how to find it. But Cadence was protected by the Crystal Empire, which would be impossible for him to get to. So that only left one option.

You'd normally expect an evil king to torment the pony with threats, or possibly torture them in order to make them speak.

But he was the king of dark magic.

One slight particle of darkness in her mind would corrupt her soul entirely.

And besides, who wouldn't want a QUEEN of darkness on their side?
