Twilight Sparkle has spent her entire life under the watchful eye of her mentor. It never occurred to her that it was only the two of them and one baby dragon alone in a rundown castle in a dense forest with no other pony around. That never seemed to bothered the young mare. She was quite content with spending her days studying magic long forgotten by the world. Of course nothing can stay the same forever, at least not when a dark force has struck fear into the hearts of so many and driven Celestia into hiding. Without explanation and instruction to simply warn as many ponies as she can of the unknown terror that has been released upon the land, Twilight Sparkle must abandon all she has known and learn to depend on something she has never believed in.
