Chapter 1: Musketeers disbanded
In a town not far from Canterlot, I was fencing with one of my very few rivals. He fell to the grounded just before I lunged at him. "Getting sloppy, Blitz." I laughed. "Why not just give up and surrender?" I asked. Blitz scoffed.
"Come on, Dashie's honor's at stake." He told me. I sighed.
"Blitz, I already told you, nothing happened." I said. Blitz laughed.
"I know what I saw, Nebula." He told me.
"All I told her was I was leaving for Canterlot. She just wanted to give me something to remember her by." I told blitz. His eyes narrowed.
"Liar!" He yelled as he lunged at me. I blocked his attack and parried.
"This is stupid, Blitz." I said as I thrust his sword out of his hand. Blitz looked at his fallen sword, then at mine, which was inches from his chest.
"My friends will avenge me." He told me, closing his eyes.
Prelude: Starlight's plan
Cardinal Starlight Glimmer marched through the dungeon doors in her dark purple robes, her heels clacking against the floor. She stopped just as one of her guards opened the giant door, revealing her second in command Midnight Rider waiting for her. Midnight glanced up at his mistress with his one good eye. His left had been wounded so he had to wear an eye-patch. His all black commander outfit tight on his body, his boots tight on his legs. He had his black feather hat on. "Cardinal Glimmer." He said as Starlight walked towards him. "We've had three more trying to steal from your personal carriage, my lady." He told her. Starlight looked at the prisoner in shackles in front of her.
"You must be the leader of these recent thefts." Starlight said in a silky voice. The prisoner glanced up and nodded. "What is your name?" She asked. The prisoner gulped, the spoke.
"Silver Streak, my lady." Silver said. Starlight's mouth formed a small smirk.
"Well then, Silver Streak, you may be forgiven." She said. Silver looked up in disbelief. Starlight motioned to Midnight, who nodded at her order. Midnight unsheathed his fencing sword and stabbed Silver straight in his heart. Silver made a small noise before he fell to the ground, blood pouring out of his wound. Starlight turned and walked away. "One less mouth to feed." She smiled. Midnight caught up with her. "Midnight, is everything set in motion?" She asked. Midnight Rider nodded.
"Yes, my lady. However, there is the small matter of her royal guards." Midnight said.
"Do not worry, I shall have my guards take their place, and I shall rule as the new queen of Canterlot Castle." Starlight laughed wickedly. Midnight joined her mid-laugh. The two of them laughed wickedly, their laughs echoing the hall.
