//-------------------------------------------------------// The Elements of Harmony In the Search for the Lost Elements, and the War for the Bearers of the Accursed Stones, and the Quest to Bring Them to Ruin: Book 1: "Through Words of Ignorance and Eyes of Fire, You Shall Incur the Shadow Kings Ire!" -by Protopony350- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Bettin on the Horses //-------------------------------------------------------// Bettin on the Horses "GO CRABCAKES!" Yelled princess Twilight Sparkle at the horse she was betting on. "THE WINNER IS SPRINKLE SUNSHINE!" Announced the announcer. "No...that was the money for the orphans!" Twilight was sad about the orphans, but she'll get over it pretty fast like she does every week. The orphans never get any money. Also they're all dead from lack of money. "Twilight, shouldn't we take THAT home?" Asked Spike, pointing at the beat up wooden box Twilight had shoved under her seat. "Not now Spike, I have a good feeling about this next horse!" she said as she bet 1000 bits on "Neverwins McGee". Long story short Twilight Sparkle lost 1000 bits. "Twilight, the Princess gave you STRICT instructions on what to do with that box!" Spike didn't really care about the box, he just wanted to go home and stuff his face with some of that delicious Sweet Sweet Honey Bee Honey he had bought yesterday. That dragon sure loved his Sweet Sweet Honey Bee Honey. Well about 3 hours later they decided to head out. "Twilight, I know you REALLY like betting on the horses and all, but I think you may have a problem," Spike no. "I HAVE A PROBLEM? YOU KNOW WHO REALLY HAS A PROBLEM? NEVERWINS MCGEE THAT'S WHO! IF HE WASN'T MY COUSIN I'D HAVE SOCKED EM ONE GOOD I TELLS YA!" Twilight also picked up some lingo from the gambling ponies. "BELCH!" said Spike as a letter formed in front of him. Dear Princess Twilight I know I told you how important that box was, and that you can not know what is inside, but I just wanted to remind you. Do not open the box. It must be stored in a magic proof room and never removed. Please Twilight, don't stop at the racetrack on your way home. I think you may have a problem. -Princess Celestia "I'm sure glad she cleared up what was up with the box just in case someone happens to be reading this but only started when I went to the racetrack," said Twilight and Spike was really confused. Well they decided they had better figure out how to make a magic proof room when the only tool you have to build a room with was magic, so they headed home to see if they had a book on how to build a magic proof room when the only tool you have to build a room with is magic. Meanwhile, the box was on Twilight's back, and not secured in any way. Best pony Trixie was taking a walk in the dark abyss under Equestria to clear her head. She had lost her home, INVADED Ponyville, and after that just kinda bummed around for a few months. "SIGH, what is Trixie to do with herself now? I'm alone and powerless," she said much louder than she needed to. Trixie was at a complete loss. The world had loved her. Everyone. Almost everyone. Everyone but them. Them..... NO! Trixie was over that! Trixie had forgiven them! Yet, she couldn't pry her thoughts away from them. Something was bringing these feelings back. Something that was growing ever closer. Just above her, Twilight and Spike continued home, carrying the box. She decided to take a nap, seeing as the bat monster armada that used to live here had been destroyed by Fluttershy in what was known as "The most out of character massacre of living beings that has ever taken place in the history of Equestria". So yeah she went to sleep, still gripped by this returning anger. "AND ANOTHER THING! THAT STUPID CRABCAKES RAN SO MUCH FASTER LAST WEEK I MEAN COME ON!" Spike really regretted buying Twilight "The Ins and Outs of Gambling" for Hearths warming, but it was the ONLY book in Equestria she didn't own. Suddenly Twilight tripped on a rock. Twilight has been tripping on a lot of rocks lately, mostly because of her daily racetrack rants. "TWILIGHT, NO!" Spike reached, but was too late. "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!" said Twilight. The box fell off of her back, and into a hole in the ground. Suddenly, two orbs of light shot from the ground, and shot off in different directions like the dragon balls after you make a wish oh man! "SPIKE, GO IN AFTER THE BOX!" said a panicked Twilight. Spike just rolled his eyes. he was done. Spike had officially checked out. Spike was finished with this nonsense. Spike wanted nothing to do with this madness. Spike was washing his hands of this whole ordeal. The box was gone. Twilight's going to have some splainin to do! Trixie awoke with a "WAH?!?" as the box landed and exploded next to her. "What in Equestria.....?" 3 necklaces where lying on the ground. Trixie "WHA?!?" again as 2 of them shot into the sky, and disappeared into the distance. Slowly, she approached the remaining necklace. A small red heart shaped jewel was set into it, and it had a huge crack down the middle. Trixie made an awful mistake. Trixie picked up the necklace. Trixie was about to set down a path that would change her life forever. Trixie began to glow a soft pink, and she was lifted from the ground. She felt herself being filled with a power she had not felt since the Alicorn Amulet. No, it even outclassed that! Trixie smiled, and was filled with one desire. Trixie would have her revenge. Above her, in a small cave, a pair of green eyes watched, and a set of wicked sharp teeth smiled. It had begun. //-------------------------------------------------------// Celestia is Really Really Angry //-------------------------------------------------------// Celestia is Really Really Angry "EXPLAIN. IT. AGAIN!" demanded Princess Celestia. "I dropped the box into the abyss," Twilight said, looking at the floor, her ears drooped down. "HOW DID YOU DROP THE BOX? DIDN'T YOU SECURE IT WITH THE ANTI-MAGIC HARNESS I GAVE YOU?" "Well, I ran out of money, and that horse looked like a sure thing!" Twilight don't. Celestia brought a hoof to her forehead, and rubbed it. "Spike, will YOU explain, please?" Celestia was as mad as shes ever been. "Twilight dropped the box into the abyss," he said, still just completely checked out. "Great. JUST GREAT! Now I'm going to have to go track them down! The three of them could be anywhere!" Also this is all happening in Twilight's castle lol I should have told you that before sorry. "Three? We only saw two mysterious orbs of light shoot into the air," said Twilight who was still really ashamed of herself. "What? Twilight, that box had three objects in it. You didn't bet one of them away did you?" Celestia is also really ashamed of her. "NO! I'm sorry princess, but I didn't open the box!" "Than whatever was in that abyss must have it," she said. Celestia sighed, and took on a more calm demeanor. "Twilight, you must gather your friends. A great evil has been unleashed on our world. Go. Bring them here. I will explain when they arrive" Fancy Pants was not the kind of pony anyone would imagine. He is one of the elite of Canterlot. He is one of the most influential ponies in all of Equestria, yet he never sought fame. He never sought money. Fancy Pants sought only one thing. Power. He sought power, but not in the way you would imagine. He was never underhanded. He never lied or cheated to gain his place. He earned his power through respect, determination, and, above all else, kindness. Fancy Pants didn't seek power to rule. Fancy Pants sought power to help. He sought to bring about change in the upper class. Yet today, he felt a little different. Today he looked upon Canterlot with eyes, not of kindness, but of desire. Something within him was changing. Something was changing him. In the sky, a small glowing orb waited. When the time was right, it would claim its victim. "Alright Twilight, why did you literally drag us here at 2:30 in the morning?" asked Rainbow Dash who didn't like being dragged by her tail for 20 minutes to get to the castle. "I asked her to bring you here!" said Celestia who had just stepped out of the shadows for dramatic effect. "Princess, why did youliterally have Twilight drag us here at 2:30 in the morning?" asked Rainbow Dash. "Because, my little ponies, the entire world is in grave danger!" and lighting struck outside when she said that. "WHAT?" said all of the ponies, including Celestia for some reason. "The Box of Forbidden Harmony has been destroyed!" she said and that's right more lightning! "The what?" asked everypony, again including Celestia and at this point I think she's just messing with them. "My dear ponies, you represent the good and just side of harmony, yet you do not embody all of the elements," and this time only one pony  gasped. You get to decide who it was! "Although the Tree of Harmony produced only six elements, it was not the only host to bare elements. In those days, we called it the 'Tree of Disharmony', but that name wasn't accurate. Even though only three existed, these elements created a harmony even stronger than the ones you hold," Celestia took a bite of the sandwich she was eating. "Princess, what elements could possibly outmatch ours?" Applejack here asking the real questions. "First, The Element of Vengeance. It holds the power to not only magnify even the smallest feelings of revenge within ones self, but also to increase the power of the wearer based on how strong that feeling becomes," she took a sip of the strawberry milkshake she was drinking. "Next was The Element of Power. It could twist even the most noble of ponies into warlords, just so long as they had even the smallest desire for power. The last pony to wear that element became one of the most successful conquerors in our history......" she trailed off, remembering the horrifying war for the Crystal Empire all of those years ago. She took a bite of the bagel she was eating. "And the third?" asked a totally enthralled Twilight. "The Element of Jealousy," she answered, taking a bite of the candy bar. Lightning dust was plagued with nightmares. She was a loser. She knew she was a loser. She made sure she knew that she was a loser. "Rainbow Dash....." she said in her half awake state. Tonight was a nightmare about being kicked out of the wonderbolts. Yesterday was a nightmare about being kicked out of the Wonderbolts. The day before that was a nightmare about "Funky Bones, the king of the bone Warriors!", but the night before that was a nightmare about being kicked out of the Wonderbolts. "It should have.....been.....me," she said as she fell back to sleep. A glowing orb hid in the clouds, preparing to strike. "That element has the power to increase a ponies willpower. The more they resent the one who has what they want, the more powerful they become," said Celestia and she was done eating. "Uh, Princess, why did you pause for like 3 minutes just now?" asked Applejack. "What are you talking about?" asked Celestia with shifty eyes. "I wana try!" said Pinkie Pie. She paused for like 20 minutes. It was kinda impressive. "My friends, you must seek out these rouge elements, and return them to me! I will reseal them, and after that, we must take drastic measures!"  AND EVEN MORE LIGHTNING! "We must destroy the Elements, and stop anypony who may use their power!" She took a bite of the cookie she was saving. //-------------------------------------------------------// Trixie Does Something Really Really Mean //-------------------------------------------------------// Trixie Does Something Really Really Mean The sky grew dark over the small town of Redshirt. A group of guard ponies noticed it first. The nearby forest was burning! "THE NEARBY FOREST IS BURNING!" said one of the ponies who had noticed that the forest was burning. Well they all ran to help, and shot the fire with magic. The fire got worse because they shot if with magic. "SIR, WHAT IS THAT?" yet another nameless pony guard pony said. "...vengeance!" said the leader. "What?" asked some other pony. They're all dead anyway do you really want names? "Huh?" asked the leader. "That just seemed like an oddly specific thing to say. Do you know what's going on?" asked the 16th pony. "The end is here. Revenge shall be swift," said the leader. "What are you doing? I still have no idea what we're up against!" one of the ponies was getting upset. "It is always darkest before the dawn," the leader replied. "Ya know what? Screw you!" said ponies #18, #12, and #22. And just after they said that they all melted. The town gates exploded, and she stood, looking over the tiny town. "W-who are you?" asked an old mare. "Are you Twilight Sky, aunt of Twilight Sparkle?" asked Trixie. "Y-yes, that is me. What do you wa-" but she was cut off, and turned to ash. The townponies began to panic, but Trixie was blocking the only exit. "Hear me you pathetic bumpkins!" Trixie blasted the the small hut at the center of town. "My name is Trixie!" she blasted a small group of cowering ponies. "And I am here for revenge!" she leaped into the center of the terrified ponies. "Your little shack town was the home of Twilight Sky, the aunt of Princess Twilight Sparkle," Her eyes glowed with pink magic. "Please, you already killed her! Leave us al-" and the pony was nothin but bones! "You harbored a direct relative of my greatest enemy!" she destroyed a few ponies who had made a break for the exit. "And now, you shall feel my VENGEANCE!" The Element of Vengeance began to glow, and Trixie began to hover into the air. "PLEASE! PLEASE!" the ponies of the town screamed. The sound of deep laughter began to boom from the dark clouds. The town trembled. The ground began to smoke. "WHY?" yelled a donkey as he burst into dust. The ground turned bright red, and the ponies all began to scream in pain. The houses began to catch fire. With a flash of light, the town of Redshirt was annihilated. Trixie descended back onto the destroyed town, and took notice of one building still standing. A small group of fillies and colts ran from the schoolhouse, panicking. Trixie's horn sparked to life, but she paused. The children huddled together, waiting for her to strike. "G-go! Tell the tale of THE GREAT AND POWERFUL ELEMENT OF VENGEANCE!" The children ran, and Trixie felt a small pain in her chest. The dark clouds cleared at a great speed, and Trixie swore the clouds had a horrifying face. A face frowning at her with huge sharp teeth, and a pair of awful glowing eyes. She shrugged off the feeling. She still had a lot of work to do. Twilight still had a lot of family.
